[00:00:00] and we're here today to talk about a couple things that popped up over the weekend. Paul George kind of went into great detail in regards to his free agency and how he ended up in Philadelphia.
[00:00:25] And then we have a couple of franchises that were putting in the focus and we're going to look at their off season and talk about their front office and talk about some of the moves they've made and see where they are at this point.
[00:00:40] And we're going to be looking at the nicks and we're going to be looking at the clippers. So it's apricot that we are talking about the clippers and Paul George came out with his podcast and really let us behind the curtain of what actually happened in those negotiations.
[00:00:59] Before we get there, there are some quiet assassins on this podcast but I wanted to the cap to Sirea and also a bunch of funds there both. Silas on this podcast they'll be providing me with notes and things of that nature.
[00:01:20] I am happy to have them. We have talked about them. They now have a Twitter presence in the reason why I bring that up is because we need to talk about the socials. So our producers are at Raya underscore.
[00:02:11] I know the video has been slowing down lately. That's my bad a little bit but the free agency for NG is almost over.
[00:02:20] So we're going to talk about the first thing today. If really the last kind of piece of it that we're going to talk about and then we're branching off into our Aussies and start talking about info detail what these franchises did.
[00:03:35] Make sure you join us on our YouTube page for a frontrunner podcast collective. And then the last thing is this, where in the new month we have new challenges and the challenges is that we need to have more downloads this month than we had last month.
[00:03:53] We've been doing such a great job with BFrandt. We need to continue that this podcast is growing. I am getting your messages. I am responding to your messages.
[00:04:06] I really have enjoyed some of the conversations I've had on Twitter with some of you. So thank you for joining us on this journey and it's independent.
[00:04:20] If you want to support the little guy, you can't get more little guy than Fertrunner podcast collective. So I think that we can turn our little company into a force to be wrecking with and I think we just need your help.
[00:04:38] And with that, let's get on with the show. We have so much to get to the first thing that we're going to talk about is this Paul George Clippers negotiation and the reason why I want to talk about it is because we have been telling you about we want to bring you kind of a POV all the front office maybe what they're thinking
[00:05:05] Maybe and we could be highly being very, it's speculation basically. I'm sorry. Got a little tongue tied there. So excited to talk to you guys.
[00:05:19] But the main thing is we want to make sure that you're getting a full view of what's going on with your team or around the league of what people are talking about and it's not the things that normal people are talking about.
[00:05:36] It's the things that the real people are talking about. So that is why we bring you this now Paul George did this on his podcast podcast pee. You guys can go check that out it's on YouTube it's excellent and I think really he was very candid in his discussion in regards to the Clippers negotiation.
[00:06:01] So let me take you step by step. So Paul George talks about early in the 2023, 2024 season that the Clippers approach him in October of 2023 and they approach him with a contract of two years and $60 million.
[00:06:24] Now on the podcast he's like the scenes very disrespectful highly offensive these are the words that he uses on his podcast. I can understand why he would fill that way.
[00:06:39] So he also now he goes on to talk about the negotiations just crawl on from that point. He said like every couple weeks people check in and it's in the number would incrementally get better but to somebody who is Paul George.
[00:07:00] Somebody who you gave a real asset said I want to hold that. Let me get not get ahead of myself let's stay here so he goes out incrementally he still offended.
[00:07:16] And then he says he gets to February of 2024 which is right before the all-star break and Paul George goes to the Clippers now this is after the colliderly Leonard.
[00:07:31] So the three years, $150 million that colliderly signed for and I remember on this podcast I was like well okay he signed early why did he do that.
[00:07:45] And then as we started to go on and on it started to get more information to find out that colliderly didn't really inform his dude that he was going out and doing this and basically the the funny part of what it is is they were a package still to go to the Clippers in 2019.
[00:08:04] All right, colliderly you get Paul George I will come to the Clippers I will leave Toronto the team that I just wanted to champion ship with I will leave them and come to your team.
[00:08:16] If you get Paul George I just find a very peculiar that the contracts start they end both the dies or coming to the end of the contract and it was such a big deal for them to get together you would think it would be a big deal for them to extend together right.
[00:08:38] No conversations really between them. Paul George says he finds out about the collider the way we found out.
[00:08:47] Like on Twitter or on Bleacher Report or wherever you get your news at ESPN dot com Yahoo scores athletic all fine fine situations to get your sports information from what he found out just like we did you shot cast price so he goes to the Clippers in February and says hey.
[00:09:12] I'll sign the call also on the quiet deal you brought me here. I want to finish it out with a why I want to see if we can go ahead try to win I think we're close.
[00:09:22] I'll sign the three year 150 million dollar deal at that time Lawrence Frank and the crew say no.
[00:09:34] Okay so they reject Paul George's overture to sign the same deal that was comparable to the collider. Now we fast forward to free agency July 24 July 2024 everything's going down the Clippers in a in a last gas effort.
[00:10:01] Go to Paul George now Paul George is through this whole process is been really heated and actually after the all store negotiations around the off-dorn negotiations he just say hey man we'll talk at the end of the year I just don't want to talk about this the virus bad.
[00:10:21] Let's just hold off until the end of the year they did. Free agency cause remember also there's that period before. Free agency where you have that exclusive negotiating window with your own free agent nobody can talk to all nothing said.
[00:10:45] Free agency starts they go to they go to Paul George and say hey listen. We already now to give you that three year a hundred and fifty million dollar deal.
[00:10:57] Now Paul George at this point in time already has one foot out the door what he still feels some sort of connection to the you know he's from LA or Palmdale.
[00:11:09] Palmdale is not LA but you know we claim it west coast you know can't you will more not like us we're all together right now. But you know he's from the area.
[00:11:21] He's like I want to finish it out here okay I'll sign the I'll sign the three year one fifty if you give me a no trade clause just because it just seems this negotiation went kind of walkie and I just want to make sure that you know the rug is not pulled out from mother he didn't use those words I'm throwing that in.
[00:11:45] But I'm sure that's his thought right you signed a contract this you know there's no guarantee you don't get traded and then you're long behold you're in Detroit somewhere I don't know that's what happened to. He's a great graphic. He's I'd extend you.
[00:12:05] Hell they had him on the court talking well um. Hey we see your jersey retired you know here's the tribute video that we already have planned for you when you're like the all time.
[00:12:18] I'm going to see if I can see where Paul might have had a little bit of like reservation. They said oh they'll win the note trade clause and we're cool we're good to go.
[00:12:37] The clippers then rejected Paul George again they didn't want him to have a no trade clause. He then now signs will fill you know the rest. Now let's talk about this a little bit. I do believe that the first the first offer was kind of disrespectful to him.
[00:13:04] I will say not just because of now here's the thing. I'm going to give you both sides. I'm going to give you what the player is thinking and then I'm going to try to give you what the front office is thinking okay.
[00:13:20] And then we might have some comments also in regards to this because I have a couple of thoughts. From a person who was a consultant with this team. And I talked to him on great detail about this specific situation so stay tuned.
[00:13:41] So Paul is upset I would be upset if I was a player you two years, $16 million now. Okay for people who are casuals out there and I'm not trying to.
[00:13:57] I'm not trying to denigrate you or anything like that but if you're just popping into the light the NBA you're just going like well $60 million. You're saying 30 million over a year that's there's not a lot of money.
[00:14:10] Well in the NBA your dollar amount is your status amount where you are in the league like a good example when we'll talk about him in a second but James Arden.
[00:14:26] James Arden even though he's not worth 35 million to everybody else that's what kind of player he still is he still is killed in that type of regard.
[00:14:38] You know people could say well the clippers were negotiating and give themselves what that deal was done as soon as he left Philadelphia to come to LA so I have nothing against that one.
[00:14:52] But yeah your dollar amount is kind of where you are in league and Paul George is kind of a. 13 all NBA guy he's in that 15 to 25 and you can kind of every year you can kind of miss and match the the last 10 guys.
[00:15:14] You know for or the last 15 guys for the last five spots type of thing. Well, Paul George is an excellent player and yeah for what he has done for the clippers now I will say he's been injured.
[00:15:31] And this is what the this is what the front office would bring up is that hey you been injured. You know now it's funny that. That was the start. You know because 30 million less. All right to buy a series guy 26 million.
[00:15:54] I mean okay it's a little different but it's not that much different. And we would all say that Paul George is a way better player a hell of a better player than.
[00:16:06] To buy serious no disrespect to to buy serious we just think that Paul George can carry the mail a lot better. And then you know we are. We are. We're in die straight here we're we're paying these luxury tax money situation for a long period time.
[00:16:35] We haven't had the help of. We haven't you know here's the the interest is that about the clippers and this is what this was. Had to be what. Hell the clipper franchise off from getting Paul George sign.
[00:16:57] Do you know since 2019 since those two guys got together Paul George and Koli Leonard. The clippers have won. Three playoff series and they haven't won since 2021. Could be a reason why they didn't want to give him a lot of money.
[00:17:18] Now I can understand them turning down Paul George. At the time of when he asked infeguary. To reasons.
[00:17:31] They had just come off like this huge like Winni Street situation and then they kind of fell into some doldrums and in figuary or whatever now Paul George can say hey I'm having really good season I'm playing a lot. Mind you. Coalize missing games. Right through this situation.
[00:17:54] I don't get it completely but I understand maybe you're like okay let's kind of look right this out. I mean if that's the strategy. I can see it. I don't agree with it but I can see it now.
[00:18:12] We get to the point where Paul George finally just act west to all your situations say listen I'll take the 150. You know you come to me like last minute I'm just really locked in this with this team I'm willing to do this.
[00:18:32] I need a no trade class and you say no. Now here's the thing. They kept on screaming second apron when they set out the press release and the press conference and everything like that they say hey this thing is super punitive and it is. It is. It is.
[00:18:53] Do not get me wrong whatsoever. But if you were willing to go to three years with Paul George that would have put you in that second apron you would have been in it. You would have been in it until those two contracts expire. So why?
[00:19:11] Why not the no trade class? Why not? Because you know that your team is not as good now. You have to know that your team just left twenty some odd points. You know we lost a forty percent three point shooter. We lost a great second side initiator.
[00:19:35] We lost somebody six eight two hundred twenty pounds long arms all this type of stuff or whatever case may be. And guess what? You all have to scramble and we'll talk about some of their moves in a little bit.
[00:19:51] But the whole premise of this thing is that they try to sell your good goods about the second apron and how punitive it is.
[00:20:00] And all of those talking points are absolutely correct but it doesn't change the fact that the reason why Paul George is not a clipper now is because there's a no trade class. Or there are reluctance to give a no trade class.
[00:20:20] And I just understand that you don't like being in that type of situation, but here's the other part of it. And this is what brings it all home to me. Their pick next year is owned by who? Oklahoma City. Twenty six is owned by. Oh Philadelphia.
[00:20:48] Twenty seven is owned by who? Oh Oklahoma City again. I think twenty eight is also owned by Philadelphia. You see what I'm talking about. So you're now marginally worse. We'll get to those moves in a second.
[00:21:06] You what but when any time you lose a guy who is as consistent as Paul George and guess, there's some problems to his game. No doubt about it. But he's still in the upper echelon of the the highest in NBA players.
[00:21:24] You know there's 450 dudes in this league and he's like within the top 20. So I don't get that part. Especially with the draft pick situation if you were to tell me hey, we all not own draft picks. We control our own destiny.
[00:21:42] So you know we're going to do like a baby rebuild. Okay, I understand what you trying to get at this is a really talented draft. I want to I want to get as close to the top of this draft as I possibly can't. I get all of that.
[00:21:58] But you're moving into a new arena. The into it don't in English. You're now out from underneath the lakeers where all those banners are. You don't own your picks and you went for flexibility in in the West.
[00:22:21] You went for hey, at least I know if these two dudes guy willing. Stay healthy. Guy willing stay healthy. We're 50 win team and we I put my squad up against anybody else squad. I mean, that's what we can look at the clippers for like the last five years.
[00:22:45] We were looking at them and say if they stay healthy. A healthy clipper team. If they can just stay healthy. These are all types of things that we said on this spot.
[00:22:59] I'm sure you've seen it on, you know, Fox or wherever you consume a lot of your other. You're other in the content. But that was always a thing you go into the years like man if they say healthy. They don't have an elevator ride in the western conference.
[00:23:15] They're going to give people hits because koai is still strong defender. Paul George scores with ease in a in a in a kind of a elegant status. It's hard to find now.
[00:23:32] And then you had the norm pals of the world and all these other guys said you and James Harden. I mean, this is a good team.
[00:23:40] So it was really hard to see this go down in this way specifically understanding the backdrop of all of what's going on here in LA. And I wonder what Mr West. What a thought.
[00:24:00] Because remember, that's the consultant to the clippers who has passed away recently within last month. And I just wonder what if the West would have thought. Now I can tell you there were times where he was frustrated.
[00:24:19] I could tell you there were times where he felt like there was 84 million dollars that was not on the floor. I can tell you those things. But I don't think Mr West would have liked to lose the asset like this now.
[00:24:38] Maybe you, you talk about the no trade clause what you tell them hey we need a list of five teams so if it.
[00:24:47] If this doesn't go right we need a list of five teams and we need to be able to negotiate with these teams like you need to. And Paul Joy see it to be the type of guy to want to help you out.
[00:25:03] He came back to you multiple times asking to stay and you rejected him on multiple occasions. You did this respected event early in the year you said two years, sixty million dollars.
[00:25:17] And then when you finally got it up to a range where somebody of Paul Joy's caliber gets you. Then you turn him down on the no trade clause. It is a way of going about it. It is a way of going about it.
[00:25:36] But that is all of what's going on with Paul Joy. He's now in Philadelphia he's turning the page. He did say he has no ill will towards the clippers. He said that you know businesses business, you know he still feels, you know great admiration for those guys.
[00:25:57] You know on which is then well so you know it wasn't even like that. It just it seems odd that a team like the clippers who were walked to talk about their awesies and now after losing Paul Joy. Just seeing odd that that's what happened that actually happened.
[00:26:17] So all right so the clippers you know Steve Ballmer owns and Lawrence Rang is the player personnel guy and then you got Tyloo who's one of the best coaches in league. Very good with the with the play calling very good with the after time out. Play call.
[00:26:46] Just a really good tactician. Now they did make an addition that you know see how this works out but Jeff and Gundy who had left TV last year.
[00:27:00] previous to this half season he's the ESPN color guy went Mark Jackson and then they did not renew those contracts and then we had JJ rhetoric in dog rivers who now have also left ESPN.
[00:27:20] So I find it strange that ESPN is going through another set of color guys that they're trying to put together just stick Doris in there. I know you got some guys who are really talented and just you know don't try to get the star star star star guy.
[00:27:40] Go get you like somebody who really knows the exes and old's led Doris do the do her job and let's be on with it but getting back to the clippers. Okay so now we do not have. Paul Joy so what do we have so we have co-ironer.
[00:27:58] We have James Harton who signed a two year 30 two year 70 million dollar deal so 35 A.A.V. No it's not like the clippers are completely barren all there doing is taking a step back what the problem is the west is so stacked and teams are on the comma.
[00:28:19] Like Memphis New Orleans teams that we are scared of right. But they have no impile who is a electric off the bench I don't know if his role expands to a starting world now that Paul George has gone.
[00:28:38] They also have parents man who they've been trying to find a way to get minutes for maybe allowing Paul Joy's to leave that allows parents man to enter. The rotation on a real way and have consistent minutes the whole way through I like what he did this year.
[00:29:00] They also got Nick but to back from Philadelphia is interesting and then you have a visa zoo watch who is whatever you think of him.
[00:29:14] He's a decent senator in the NBA on his dollar amount it's not really you know it's a good value I like of each of the zoo watch personally.
[00:29:25] I think he provides good room protection a toughness some rebounding and if he gets frisky he can go off and give you like 25 points and like 15 rebounds.
[00:29:39] But it just wonder if his numbers get called or not so we'll see maybe this year they'll use them more especially in the picking roll with James Harden.
[00:29:52] Now they made some other additions I do like the Derek Jones junior pick up from the Mavericks I do like that that was part of the 16 the the biggest trade in NBA history 16 it was Dallas it was going state.
[00:30:10] It was clippers Philadelphia was in this bad boy Charlotte was in this bad boy and I think Phoenix was in this was it was it's a Denver. I think of Phoenix.
[00:30:22] Lot of teams lot of moving pieces crazy deal but that's how Derek Jones ended up in Los Angeles they also got Chris done. They still have a mere coffee.
[00:30:38] I like the cam Christie pick up in the second round of the NBA draft now there's a couple guys here that I'm a little concerned about they signed Kai Jones and now Kai Jones if you don't remember was the backup center in Charlotte.
[00:30:58] Now Charlotte had a bunch of stuff going on this is prior to the new ownership change prior to Charles Lee prior to a lot of things.
[00:31:10] What Kai Jones got released from the team there was some sort of the scene to be some sort of mental illness going on his mental health was a concern.
[00:31:24] There were some weird social media clips floating around but he's now back in the NBA and Kai Jones is a bouncy six foot 11 Pogo stick. He can block shots. He can provide real protection.
[00:31:42] But he doesn't know when to go after the block and went to just go straight up and just give give it a good contest.
[00:31:53] And then his offensive game is limited he is a picking roll do you don't want him on the short roll in and passing it out to the to the shooters that's not in his bag.
[00:32:05] What an athletic big that can provide 12 to 16 minutes off the bench for a for Zua's okay. Let's try it. The other name on this list that I thought was interesting is Kevin Porter Jr. Now Kevin Porter is at issues in Cleveland he's had issues in Houston.
[00:32:33] People say he did rehab his imaging Houston a little bit but he was ultimately let go. And here's the thing. Take for instance Nick Baton. Nick Baton is a long stand in vet in this league he's been in league all along. Keep finding jobs. Why? No hassle.
[00:33:03] Yantawari well Nick Baton. Nick Baton will come in do his job. He's not going to embarrass you in front of the media he's not going to embarrass you off the court. He's going to play his you know whatever well you're going to give him.
[00:33:22] However many games you're going to play him and he's going to give you a solid performance. Most I mean literally most of the time really consistent. Kevin Porter on the other hand. There's issues with just add a two-note issues. There's been talk of maturity issues.
[00:33:50] There's been talk of lack of self awareness when it comes to who you are on basketball court and where you. Where you fit in on the whatever the total coal or power struggle or power. For in the NBA.
[00:34:09] Food chain in regards to where you are on the team and how many shots you should get. These are swings. If these guys are now at a point where it's like hey we need to start taking our career real seriously. Tyler was a great coach.
[00:34:31] They have a really good developmental plan in with the clippers. They have a great analytics department over there with the clippers. I mean personally they did as well as they could what they had. Now here's the other thing that I want to say. We talked about it before.
[00:34:57] We talked about how bomber and lake up in some of these guys who are super rich who really didn't really care about the money whatsoever. This is where that second apron has become such a iron fisted tyrant basically. The clippers for the first time in a long time.
[00:35:19] The total is at 172.1 million dollars. That puts them $6 million underneat the first apron. So you're not even hitting the real, you know, penalties or whatever the case can be. They're actually a staggering $16.8 million underneat the second apron. So technically if the clipper for one or two,
[00:35:52] if there was somebody available they could sign somebody to the full middle level exception. Now yeah you lose some some of your, you know, flexibility when you get into that first apron. But it's definitely not as detrimental as the second apron.
[00:36:12] The second apron is so it's like we really hope you like your tea because this is who you're going to have. Because adding somebody is just going to be super hard. So that's why the clippers are so bomber. Lake up these guys with all this money,
[00:36:32] you're going to have to build a better mouse trap now. Because if you're in that second apron and the case studies are going to be Phoenix this year.
[00:36:43] Boston, now Boston is more well equipped to handle their situation but Phoenix is going to be very interesting to see how Phoenix kind of wiggles their way out of this. But all in all I mean, I think with, I don't like what they did with Paul George.
[00:37:02] I don't think you're better, you know, and I know clipper fans will sit down like all vents is hidden on the clippers again. Theses at Laker fan. Now this is just pure analysis. You take Paul George off to you tea. You take a consistency of 2223 points again.
[00:37:21] A consistency of like six to eight rerounds again. A consistency of like five to seven to six. A consistency of like seven to six again. Pretty good defense 40% prequon shooter. You just fundamentally not as good as you are.
[00:37:40] And yes, Derek Jones is a piece and he'll provide really good defense. And yes, they, you know, they did resign hard and, you know, they did get Christian and they did get Moe Bonbo. But it's a Moe Bonbo and his Derek Jones, Jr. and his Chris Dunn.
[00:38:02] That is not Paul George. So I like kind of, hey, D.I. eat this one this year and maybe we can start doing some, some damage next year. But the problem with the whole thing is, and this is what I, what I go back to.
[00:38:24] And we've been on the Clippers for a while now. And hopefully we, we get, So I've bought something really, really cool in a second. But I still go back to your draft picks being somewhere else. And your refusal. The guy who you gave up all these picks for,
[00:38:48] you let him walk out the door. Just don't know. I understand about the, I understand about the penalties of the apron. I just don't know how you allow that dude to walk off the door. So there it is.
[00:39:07] All right, let's get to the other team that we want to talk about. We're going to go to Gotham, going to New York City. Now seeing what we're going to talk about the next. You know, saying orange and blue skies, put your tins in the air.
[00:39:21] I, I, we in these streets, let's do it. All right, so the next had an outstanding offseason, right? But let's give a kudos to Leon Rove or why Wes. Gerson roses is there. You know that triangle really, they put date man.
[00:39:44] They rolled up they sleeves on this one. Okay, so you trade for O.J. and an OV in the season. You know, there's there's obviously when that happens. Some sort of like hey, your agent, what's his, what's his thoughts on standing New York City?
[00:40:07] What do you think it's going to take to get it done? They give you kind of a number. And then, you know, you kind of like look at him. Like look at him. What's up, you know what's up? Let's do this right.
[00:40:20] So that's pretty much what happened with O.J. and Nelvie. He leaves Toronto in trade for RJ Garrett in a manual quickly. And they resino. Now this was right after the McKell Bridge straight. And there was a thought are they going to be able to sign him.
[00:40:40] What's going to happen? They sign them. And now you look at all of what they done. Now, do you know there was going to be a casualties somewhere? I say a heart and a Stein is gone. We'll talk about like their rotation right now.
[00:40:57] And what it looks like and what maybe still out there for them. But let's kind of get into it. So you got Mitchell Robinson. You have Julie Surando, who had that shoulder surgery. Situation in, well he injured the shoulder in January.
[00:41:16] And it had the surgery towards the end of the year. O.J. and Nelvie who just got resine paid McKell Bridges Jaling Bronson. That could be your style of line up for the New York next. Now coming out to the bench right now is Josh Hart.
[00:41:38] Dante D. Vincienzo. Remember these guys were starting. Those two guys were putting in 40 plus minutes again for the New York Knicks. And now they are coming out here bench. Do some of the ride who filled in, averally after a man you'll quickly left.
[00:41:58] He actually provided little more on-ball defensive juice was a real pest in the playoff series and had a couple of stellar games. So he had to do some grotes there and then they have Jericho Sims. Now, Pat Cone, Daddy A, Tyler Cole, Kita, based job.
[00:42:21] Those dudes aren't going to play. Okay, first of all, Daddy A is 18. His O. Tives won't even know how to say his name until he's 20. Tyler Cole is also a rookie. He just doesn't play rookies. He just doesn't do it.
[00:42:41] I would be fascinated to see which rookie he would actually play. But I don't think it's these dudes, but currently as a rotation stand right now, they got a nine-man rotation. They don't have a big losing heart and shine to okay C was horrendous.
[00:43:00] But you knew something was going to have to get because he was the deal. The nicks are currently at $173 million. Obviously, we know this first egg one is at 178. And then the second egg one is at 188.9.
[00:43:20] So they have the opportunity to go out and get a center for the tax payer mid-level. So that is the five and a half to six million dollar do to whatever. And that would put them right over the first apron, which still gives you a lot of flexibility.
[00:43:39] But there's some penalty used to be in and that. Unless you can find another big that's like just sitting out there and it's like two million dollars. And he just read the market wrong. That could happen as well.
[00:43:56] But the other thing that I want to say is that everybody talks about all the picks that New York gave up. I understand, I do trust me it's a lot of picks but here's the thing.
[00:44:13] Yes, they have no cake for 2025 as far as for a frowned it. They do have a second router. Not a great situation. At 226 they do own their own pick and have four second rounders in 226.
[00:44:28] In 227, they do not own their first frowned pick but they also have three second round picks. 28, no fires 29, no fires 28, 3 second round picks 29, 2 second round picks and in 2030 they own their own pick and they also own their own second round pick.
[00:44:53] So 226 and 23 are the two first frowned picks that they still have left. So they still have some ammunition in there at their disposal.
[00:45:08] Now the obvious is that there has to be some sort of, there should be some sort of kind of, we got to pick up somebody to back up Mitchell Robinson. Two reasons Mitchell Robinson gets hurt. He doesn't play the whole season.
[00:45:28] So you gotta have a back up big for that reason. And then the other thing is that maybe you want to have a diversity, maybe you get a big that does different type of thing. That's the other.
[00:45:41] But they're in a prime position, we'll get those through contracts and through the, the type of flexibility that they have. I don't think they're done necessarily, but the market might dictate that they're done because everybody's starting to be enamored with their team.
[00:46:04] There's still some few few moves out there. We talked about this last time on the pod, which seemed not that long ago because it wasn't because it was early Sunday morning.
[00:46:17] If you have not listened to that pod, please go listen to that pod. There's some real good information about LeBron James and what he did for the Lakers. We also have the whole Damo de Rosent so if this is the first time with the pod.
[00:46:34] Welcome. Thank you for joining us. The B of Frank Telefran mantra and motto is working. You know, say in together, we're stronger apart or weaker type of situation. So thank you for coming.
[00:46:51] And if this is the first pod, archive pod, archive pod, Spotify, Apple, Amazon, music, YouTube, I Heart Radio. Wherever you get your pod, you can go into the archive pod and get some stuff that we've talked about throughout the free agency, francy.
[00:47:14] But going back to the last pod, I was talking about margins and doing things in the margin and why certain things done a certain way can benefit teams and what have you. Here's a team that gave up a whole hell of a lot for Mackelle Bridges.
[00:47:38] The thing that we're this, if you want to talk about, well, he's a role player, blah, blah, here's the thing.
[00:47:45] Mackelle Bridges fits in perfectly what they have right now and also he will fit in perfectly if you decide it to exchange out like a Julia's Randall and put in maybe like,
[00:47:59] you know, for who can shoot it from three, what protects the room real well. You know, there are things that might be out there for them. Scary thought.
[00:48:12] So I mean, the nicks had an incredible off season. I know all the nicks fans are super pumped about what's going on with the nicks. You keep it locked here at front runner podcast collective because we don't give you the real scoop on your team.
[00:48:30] I personally think that the nicks get a A, I think you don't get a plus because you don't have a backup center, but you do have the ammunition at any point to pull a tray.
[00:48:45] So I like that. So I'll give you a, clippers. I think what I'll put this way, I'll give you a C plus and the reason why I give you a C plus is just the fumble just hearing all the stuff they came out with Paul George and I still wonder if rest in peace Jerry West, what I wonder if Mr. West will still lie, I wonder if Paul George will be a clipper.
[00:49:18] I just wonder and there's not even about the money since it's done anything to do with that. It just is all about what you think of the asset and what you can possibly get for the asset.
[00:49:34] And to see that asset just completely walk out the building to me was a tough pill to swallow. So with all that being said, we can get up out of here again I want to thank everybody who is downloading the podcast also hit us with a five star review.
[00:49:58] Let us know, hey, we'd like to pot. We'd love that segment about the nicks. You know, talking more nicks basketball. Let us know if you didn't like what we said about the clippers.
[00:50:10] You know, let us know if you didn't think we didn't go in depth enough. Whatever it is, we are here to try to cater to you guys a little bit and build the best basketball podcast that is out there.
[00:50:24] It has intelligent discussion that entertains you and raise you some information and maybe a different way of looking at it where, you know, you can go back and talk to your boys or talk to your or your ladies and really talk hoops in a way where you feel like, yo, this is little angle that I, you know, I had thought about it this way.
[00:50:46] So again, be a friend telephone about the podcast. It's a movement it's a thing. It is growing at every single country like Ghana, like France, like what was the other country that was really just like, wow, it was amazing to me.
[00:51:06] There was another one, there was another one trying to think was it. It was Taiwan right, yeah, Taiwan. No, thank you. Thank you, sir.
[00:51:19] Yeah, so Taiwan I mean, we're just we're global, you know, it's global, I love it. Thank you guys so much, but you know what the move is.
[00:51:34] We want to grow our numbers and only way we grow our numbers is with you. It's an independent podcast that we not spent one dime on advertising budget whatsoever.
[00:51:47] So all of the record setting numbers that are going on right now is because of you guys. So we appreciate you again, and we'll continue to pound this table until we have a robust community that is in the chat in the YouTube chat making comments to one another.
[00:52:08] We have like a power ranking of light, the top affiliates, you know, like we get the analytics. You know, and I want like to have like a top five affiliates thing. I want to I want you guys to be able to have a discord and be able to get in there and talk about the team and we'll put up categories and stuff like that.
[00:52:30] And you know, we're going to put things on like page on. So we go have like real dudes, you know, really working hard in the industry, you know, to bring you like the best content that we possibly can. So we got a lot planned.
[00:52:48] So by you growing your numbers allows us to grow our numbers and to give you even a more panoramic view of the NBA. So keep that in mind.
[00:52:59] So with that being said, let's get about it here. The best part of you with you remember to keep people in your life that are going to illuminate and brighten your life.
[00:53:10] The people that are trying to distinguish a light, their jealous, their, their India is so what you not what you have. What you're all about your aura, your, your the way you go about your business as some people just they hate on that.
[00:53:29] Don't allow them to head on that don't allow them to extinguish a light go out and do good in this world. And I can guarantee you this we're going to have a interview with a cat that follows the warriors.
[00:53:47] He's going to be real good. That's coming Wednesday. We'll have another front office focus on another squad from the east. I haven't picked that squad yet, but you know, it'll be a good squad. Well, we're going to go and stay in another squad from the east on Wednesday.
[00:54:06] One will be an interviews for somebody who really follows the warriors and then I'll do an individual one on another team. So that's what you have to look forward to on Wednesday. Can we lock here because here's the other thing.
[00:54:23] If for some reason, there's a trade that goes down because remember Brandon Ingram, the Brooklyn wings are still out there and there's a couple other things that's kind of parking late not there, but those two things alone still are not resolved and I would be hard for us to think that this is going to take into
[00:54:49] close to opening a training camp. I think people are going to want to get this done before the Olympics and things that nature so keep it locked here at front running podcast collective.
[00:55:00] And again, do a bit in the world and we'll see you back on this podcast feed on Wednesday. You guys take it easy. Dos.
