[00:00.000 --> 00:29.800] Happy Saturday out there to everybody. It is Front Runner Podcast Collective. I am the host, Vince and Hoop fans, Hoop brothers and sisters rejoice. We are about to get into a lot of basketball. But before we do that, I want to alert you if this is your first time on the podcast. Make sure you're following the podcast and you're getting the latest downloads. [00:29.800 --> 00:57.800] So you can get the information that you need to get. Also, remember to rate us, leave some comments if your team is not being covered or certain player needs to be hyped up or spotlighted or whatever the case may be. Maybe there's a draft prospect that you want us to hone in on. Let us know in the comments on the podcast and also we have other ways for you to reach us. [00:57.800 --> 01:18.800] The first way is through X, formerly known as Twitter and that is Front Runner PC and you can hit Nico up at NicoFRPC. You can check us out on YouTube. A lot of the stuff that we say here ends up on clips on YouTube. [01:18.800 --> 01:37.800] Now, usually we'll put in a couple of notes that we left out in the podcast on the YouTube clip. So there's some further information usually in the YouTube clip that we might have not gotten to during the podcast. [01:37.800 --> 01:56.800] And if you're there, subscribe to YouTube, right? Subscribe to the YouTube channel, Front Runner podcast collective. We need some help with the downloads, subscribes, we need all that. So I am here to ask for it. [01:57.800 --> 02:15.800] Now that we've gotten all that out the way, we can get into the hoops. And I wanted to start off, first and foremost, with the game last night, we had a potential finals preview when the Nuggets ended the 20 game home winning streak of the Celtics. [02:16.800 --> 02:30.800] The Nuggets kind of woke up from their mid season slumber and to take an undefeated streak away from the Celtics. I mean, it was prime championship fashion. [02:30.800 --> 02:41.800] And what I mean by that is that I've been on this planet for a little bit longer. You know, this is probably my fourth decade of really watching basketball. [02:42.800 --> 03:00.800] And I'll probably say that with an analytical eye, probably two decades, basically. And sometimes when you see a champion and they're going through the the rigors of the season, what you tend to find is that they're not up for every game. [03:00.800 --> 03:10.800] I mean, this is not something new. I'm not I'm not breaking the fourth wall here with anything that I'm saying, but what I noticed with real championship teams. [03:12.800 --> 03:20.800] Is that there are games where Oh, no, no, no, no, no, let us reintroduce ourselves to you. [03:20.800 --> 03:33.800] We are the class of this league made no mistake about it. We are here to let everybody know we still run the NBA. [03:33.800 --> 03:51.800] Now, I saw it with Kobe and Shaq. I saw them in games where, you know, they would be disinterested against the Dallas team and then go up against a Portland team and be like, Hey, we got to just show these guys what's up. [03:51.800 --> 03:56.800] You saw it with some of the LeBron teams with Miami. [03:56.800 --> 04:02.800] You definitely saw it with the Curry Warrior teams. [04:02.800 --> 04:10.800] They're not going to get up for every single game, but there's going to be certain games on the calendar that they're going to get up for. [04:10.800 --> 04:20.800] And this was the final piece for me to understand that the nuggets were there that they understood where they are and who they are in the pecking order. [04:21.800 --> 04:37.800] And it's good to see that as much as Yokage seems not to care about winning or whatever, not not that he doesn't care about winning is that he doesn't seem to relish any of the spotlight whatsoever. Right. [04:38.800 --> 04:47.800] I thought it was really funny that this game was the game that we got to see the full array of talents from him. [04:47.800 --> 04:57.800] We already know that he's a 6-11 point guard. We already know that he's an offensive, facilitating, which we know that already. [04:58.800 --> 05:04.800] And it was just like, it was just a friendly reminder to any of the contenders out there. [05:04.800 --> 05:11.800] At any point in time, I can just bust you. I can just bust your ass basically. [05:11.800 --> 05:26.800] You know, I hate to even bring it down to that level, but you know sometimes when you are on, when you on the playground and there was a guy in front of you and you were like, Oh, yeah, I got this dude. [05:27.800 --> 05:36.800] Now, normally I was probably the dude that he was doing that too. No, you know, no shade, right? My sport was baseball, but I love basketball. [05:36.800 --> 05:47.800] But it was a situation where you knew and Yokage is one of those cats that it just permeates out of them. [05:47.800 --> 05:56.800] It was good to see him bring his championship medal in the regular season that he could just invoke it at any point in time. [05:56.800 --> 05:58.800] So that was good to see. [06:01.800 --> 06:14.800] This is what great players do and teams do. They get something, they get their juices flowing and what could be better than a 20-game home winning streak that you can just go ahead and ruin. [06:15.800 --> 06:25.800] Jamal Murray seemed locked in scoring 35 points. He did it on 15 or 21 shooting from the field, and then he also shot three of seven from three. [06:25.800 --> 06:31.800] He grabbed eight boards and shipped in five times, not bad for a two-guard, right? [06:31.800 --> 06:42.800] I mean, I'm halfway kidding about the two-guard, but we all know, we all know that Yokage is a point guard, right? [06:43.800 --> 06:48.800] Okay, so what did we learn from this game? I think there were some actual valuable lessons. [06:48.800 --> 06:50.800] One time we talked about it. [06:52.800 --> 07:00.800] When Yokage and Murray are motivated, they are capable of turning it on at any point, so we hammered that point home. [07:00.800 --> 07:07.800] For the Celtics, I believe that Jason Tatum has actually taken a step. [07:08.800 --> 07:17.800] Now, I know it's a loss. I know it's their first loss at home, but here's the other question I have with it. [07:17.800 --> 07:22.800] I think the step is going to take a little while. [07:22.800 --> 07:28.800] I think he might need another year, and I'm not trying to throw shade on Jason Tatum. [07:28.800 --> 07:35.800] I just want to kind of alert everybody to what he's dealing with at this present time. [07:36.800 --> 07:45.800] I think he's going to fully understand his superpowers, probably with the next 18 months. [07:45.800 --> 07:52.800] So keep that time relevant to your head at this point. [07:52.800 --> 08:02.800] Then keep in mind that he has so many levels that he's maturing on at one time. [08:03.800 --> 08:08.800] And also that he is 26 years of age. [08:08.800 --> 08:12.800] So this is what he's going through. He's growing in multiple fronts. [08:12.800 --> 08:26.800] He's growing as a team leader, using his voice more, expressing certain things in the game plan, certain things that he sees with the team. [08:27.800 --> 08:43.800] He's becoming the vocal leader. Remember when last year we got to we had Marcus Smart, we had Grant Williams, we had other voices that were doing that for Jason. [08:43.800 --> 08:47.800] This is not the case anymore. [08:47.800 --> 08:50.800] He's also an ascending star. [08:50.800 --> 09:00.800] And what I want to talk about that is whether you have him top 15, top 10, whatever, understand that he's ascending. [09:00.800 --> 09:05.800] So he's starting to figure out, okay, I can get this call. [09:05.800 --> 09:18.800] I can persuade in a certain fashion to make it more advantageous for myself down in the four quarter. [09:18.800 --> 09:25.800] So these are certain things that the nuances of the game that Kevin Durant already have. [09:26.800 --> 09:31.800] You know, LeBron has it, Steph has it, people that elk have it. [09:31.800 --> 09:34.800] But he's learning this on the fly. [09:34.800 --> 09:40.800] Now, the other thing is that he's leading on the court. [09:40.800 --> 09:41.800] Okay. [09:41.800 --> 09:51.800] Now, what I mean by that is that sometimes Jason Tatum is allowing his defense to speak more for him. [09:52.800 --> 09:53.800] Okay. [09:53.800 --> 10:02.800] He's allowing his physicality and allowing the player that he is guarding to feel him. [10:02.800 --> 10:13.800] This is something that when he put on the 15 to 20 pounds, we saw it instantaneously and we said that he's going to be a load to deal with now. [10:13.800 --> 10:17.800] And he's starting to use it. [10:17.800 --> 10:19.800] So he's taking defensive challenges. [10:19.800 --> 10:29.800] And then what you're also starting to see is that he's picking his spots offensively a little bit. [10:29.800 --> 10:34.800] Knowing when to score, when to go ahead and facilitate. [10:34.800 --> 10:41.800] And then the last thing that he's doing is he's also ascending to being one of the faces of the league. [10:42.800 --> 10:47.800] Jason Tatum is remarkably marketable. [10:47.800 --> 10:48.800] Okay. [10:48.800 --> 10:54.800] This is just a fresh face kid who has a million dollar smile. [10:54.800 --> 11:02.800] He's doing ruffles commercials and all kinds of dunking donuts ads and and sell away commercials and things of that nature. [11:02.800 --> 11:10.800] So this is a guy that hasn't really hit the prime yet because we think of the prime at 27. [11:11.800 --> 11:15.800] And this is all the stuff that he's getting on his plate this year. [11:15.800 --> 11:18.800] So this is why I say it might take another year. [11:18.800 --> 11:19.800] A couple of more notes. [11:19.800 --> 11:21.800] It's kind of thing I want to kind of talk about. [11:21.800 --> 11:23.800] Chase Tatum a little bit. [11:23.800 --> 11:28.800] And this is where I want to get to with this this little so little quickly that I'm giving you. [11:28.800 --> 11:32.800] Let's show a little grace with Tatum here. [11:32.800 --> 11:39.800] I think that is it's probably a couple levels to his game that he has not reached yet. [11:40.800 --> 11:44.800] Now if you think that Jason Tatum is awesome now. [11:44.800 --> 11:49.800] Think about when it all clicks when it all slows down. [11:49.800 --> 11:56.800] Think of Neo in the matrix right when he's pulling bullets from the sky. [11:56.800 --> 12:00.800] That's the level that Jason Tatum hasn't hit yet. [12:00.800 --> 12:04.800] And he's this scary now. [12:04.800 --> 12:10.800] So I do believe there's a couple more levels to his to his game. [12:10.800 --> 12:19.800] And yes, when you stack him up against Giannis or you stack him up against in Bead or you stack him up against Durant. [12:19.800 --> 12:21.800] Which he actually beat Durant. [12:21.800 --> 12:23.800] So you can check him off the list. [12:23.800 --> 12:29.800] But Curry, you know, yogage, you're, you're still wondering. [12:29.800 --> 12:31.800] Is Jason at that level yet? [12:31.800 --> 12:37.800] Can he rise to the moment to elevate his team to victory? [12:37.800 --> 12:42.800] And I'm not saying that he can't. [12:42.800 --> 12:45.800] I think he could possibly do it this year. [12:45.800 --> 12:53.800] But I think it's the more formed Jason Tatum that we see down the road. [12:53.800 --> 13:01.800] Which is the guy that can maybe rattle off like three championships in five years. [13:01.800 --> 13:04.800] I don't know if we're there yet. [13:04.800 --> 13:08.800] But here's the things that I do want to talk about. [13:08.800 --> 13:14.800] Can the franchise and the fan base show patience until. [13:14.800 --> 13:18.800] The further maturation process is complete. [13:18.800 --> 13:24.800] The things that I think you're going to see more aggressive going to the basket with Jason Tatum. [13:24.800 --> 13:29.800] I think as he starts to understand his strength and his size, he'll be able to use it more. [13:29.800 --> 13:39.800] I think what you'll also start to see is long gated picking his squats using himself as a post facilitator and score. [13:39.800 --> 13:45.800] Once he really understands that I'm six, nine, I'm two forty. [13:45.800 --> 13:49.800] I mean, you know, I'm about as big as LeBron prime, right? [13:49.800 --> 13:54.800] I think LeBron is like two forty five prime. [13:54.800 --> 14:03.800] I'm bigger, stronger, faster than a lot of these dudes and I'm just going to push my way to the basket and get there. [14:03.800 --> 14:09.800] The other thing is maturing as a vocal leader of the franchise. [14:09.800 --> 14:13.800] This is something that you grow into and remember. [14:13.800 --> 14:18.800] He had two years ago, he had even a doka who was a really, really strong voice. [14:18.800 --> 14:23.800] Last year, he still had the remnants of like the previous squad. [14:23.800 --> 14:25.800] He still had Marcus Smart. [14:25.800 --> 14:32.800] He still had Grant Williams, you know, so he could kind of play the back role and not really. [14:32.800 --> 14:35.800] Be the guy that needed to be the vocal leader. [14:35.800 --> 14:42.800] So all these things are coming together all at once with him. [14:42.800 --> 14:53.800] And I'm just wondering if Boston, even in a loss as good as I think they were just as good as advertised, [14:53.800 --> 14:55.800] I think they have so much playmaking. [14:56.800 --> 14:58.800] They had so much playmaking in every position. [14:58.800 --> 15:03.800] I think they're extremely hard to guard when they're hitting their threes. [15:03.800 --> 15:09.800] And see, that's the thing is that if Jason Tatum is still not at the level that he needs to be at, [15:09.800 --> 15:15.800] if this team is clicking and being the dead eye shooters that they all can be, [15:15.800 --> 15:19.800] it might not make a difference whether he's at that level yet. [15:20.800 --> 15:25.800] He might be able to grow into that level with them winning a championship. [15:25.800 --> 15:34.800] That's how good Boston is, but they will have to slay that dragon that is the different nuggets. [15:34.800 --> 15:37.800] And I know the nuggets aren't number one. [15:37.800 --> 15:39.800] I know in the West and things of that nature. [15:39.800 --> 15:46.800] And I know that the timber walls in the thunder, which we will get to a little bit later in this podcast. [15:47.800 --> 15:49.800] I have a whole thing on them. [15:49.800 --> 15:55.800] But I really am saying this that until somebody beats Denver, [15:55.800 --> 15:57.800] I still got to pick them. [15:57.800 --> 16:01.800] I still got to pick them. [16:01.800 --> 16:13.800] The other thing that I saw from this game, and I think this was the key where I think Boston might have might need to really think about this. [16:13.800 --> 16:21.800] Denver's length was a great equalizer to the Celtics driving kick game. [16:21.800 --> 16:26.800] Because the passes needed to be a little bit more deliberate. [16:26.800 --> 16:31.800] So it took it a little, just like a split second longer to get there, [16:31.800 --> 16:38.800] and it allowed the defender that was in the health position to get to the corner to at least really kind of bother the three. [16:39.800 --> 16:44.800] That's what I saw in the game, is that with Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter, Jr., [16:44.800 --> 16:49.800] continues Caldwell Pope, Jamal Murray not being a small guy. [16:49.800 --> 16:53.800] When he come off the bench, you're talking about Peyton Watson. [16:53.800 --> 16:55.800] You're talking about Julian Strather. [16:55.800 --> 16:57.800] You're talking about Christian Brown. [16:57.800 --> 16:59.800] You're talking about length. [16:59.800 --> 17:02.800] They don't really have any tiny guys on their team. [17:02.800 --> 17:07.800] So if that's the case, Ricky Jackson is the smallest guy. [17:08.800 --> 17:13.800] All in all, they got a ton of length, and they can get up on you and guard, [17:13.800 --> 17:22.800] and they are able to, they are able to get back from the health position to the corners, to the three-point shooters. [17:22.800 --> 17:30.800] And I think that's the one thing that we don't necessarily talk about with the Denver Nuggets. [17:30.800 --> 17:35.800] It's not that the length is so long and it's powerful, [17:35.800 --> 17:44.800] it's that it gets into the passing lengths to the point where you might have to make a more deliberate pass or a log pass [17:44.800 --> 17:51.800] to get it lofted over the length, so they're able to go ahead and get back out to the shooters. [17:51.800 --> 17:59.800] So just a little thing that, you know, if you go back and look at the game, look at that and see how open, [17:59.800 --> 18:02.800] Boston Shooters were. [18:02.800 --> 18:04.800] Just a thought. [18:04.800 --> 18:05.800] All right. [18:05.800 --> 18:11.800] That was actually something that I wanted to get to first, [18:11.800 --> 18:17.800] but the main topic that I wanted to get to today is, it's the Oklahoma City Thunder, [18:17.800 --> 18:22.800] and I wanted to really lock in on them. [18:22.800 --> 18:28.800] And I wanted to kind of put out a declaration from myself to the Thunder fans [18:28.800 --> 18:33.800] and to the Thunder organization. [18:33.800 --> 18:35.800] The Thunder already have a big three. [18:35.800 --> 18:39.800] I'm going to go ahead and say that period. [18:39.800 --> 18:40.800] Okay. [18:40.800 --> 18:46.800] I think right now with SGA, Chet, and Jalen Williams of Santa Clara, J Dub, [18:46.800 --> 18:53.800] however you want to call them, the wing, Jalen Williams. [18:53.800 --> 19:02.800] And before we press Kresty on making a move, we all need to see that they need a big, [19:02.800 --> 19:03.800] we all know that. [19:03.800 --> 19:08.800] We all know that they need another Krest's next to Chet. [19:08.800 --> 19:13.800] But let's not, let's, let's put a little pause on the trades. [19:13.800 --> 19:16.800] And let me tell you why. [19:16.800 --> 19:22.800] Actually, I can hear you guys crying right now, but Vince, the Thunder have 39 picks. [19:22.800 --> 19:27.800] They have 17 first rounders, 22 second rounders. [19:27.800 --> 19:31.800] What's the difference in giving up a couple picks? [19:31.800 --> 19:34.800] You can't, you're not going to be able to keep all these guys and you're right. [19:34.800 --> 19:35.800] Okay. [19:35.800 --> 19:39.800] We're going to get there in a second. [19:39.800 --> 19:45.800] But here's the one thing about the big that you have to go out and get. [19:45.800 --> 19:55.800] It can't mess with the, the young big three ecosystem that you have, right? [19:55.800 --> 20:00.800] You have Chet, J Dub, and SGA. [20:00.800 --> 20:03.800] Jalen Williams can flat out score. [20:03.800 --> 20:06.800] He gets on you on defense. [20:06.800 --> 20:11.800] He's a tremendous two way player. [20:11.800 --> 20:16.800] We all know that SGA right now is flirting with some MVP status. [20:16.800 --> 20:22.800] He's in that lofty area of MVP. [20:22.800 --> 20:25.800] So we all know that he's going to be all NBA. [20:25.800 --> 20:26.800] We all know that. [20:26.800 --> 20:31.800] And then you know how Chet, who really is just so everybody knows. [20:31.800 --> 20:37.800] Chet is second, second, and defensive player of the year. [20:37.800 --> 20:40.800] If, if you look at the Vegas odds. [20:40.800 --> 20:41.800] Okay. [20:41.800 --> 20:42.800] Chet right now. [20:42.800 --> 20:43.800] Go there. [20:43.800 --> 20:44.800] Rudy, go there. [20:44.800 --> 20:48.800] Minnesota is absolutely running away with it. [20:48.800 --> 20:54.800] But Chet is number two. [20:54.800 --> 21:00.800] I think right now what you have to do is you have to look for, listen. [21:00.800 --> 21:09.800] A player like Anthony Davis wouldn't work in OKC for myriad of reasons. [21:10.800 --> 21:14.800] That would mess with the development of the extremely talented core. [21:14.800 --> 21:17.800] Remember Jalen Williams is in his second year. [21:17.800 --> 21:18.800] Okay. [21:18.800 --> 21:25.800] Chet might be in his second year, but really he's in his first year of actual playtime. [21:25.800 --> 21:33.800] So he hasn't even gone through the whole full regular season yet. [21:34.800 --> 21:40.800] So a guy that would have a situation where I need a certain amount of touches. [21:40.800 --> 21:42.800] I need a certain amount. [21:42.800 --> 21:46.800] You know, I got there's got to be things run for me. [21:46.800 --> 21:52.800] Would mess up the complete flow of what that team has going on right now. [21:52.800 --> 21:57.800] So when you go out and say they need a big, they need a big and you want to throw out names [21:57.800 --> 22:06.800] out there, don't look for them necessarily like slam, dunk, big type of person. [22:06.800 --> 22:13.800] I think I have an archetype that we can look at, but we'll get to that. [22:13.800 --> 22:18.800] This big to me would have to we'd have to be a complimentary piece. [22:18.800 --> 22:22.800] He'd have to suck up rebounds via defensive presence in the paint. [22:22.800 --> 22:26.800] It would be great if he could shoot threes. [22:26.800 --> 22:31.800] But not necessarily, you know, that's the perfect guy, right? [22:31.800 --> 22:36.800] And then if you had that guy, then you're taking away from what the other three guys are doing [22:36.800 --> 22:39.800] and then the rest of the team, which we'll get to in a second as well. [22:39.800 --> 22:40.800] All right. [22:40.800 --> 22:45.800] So the guys that I kind of want to give you kind of an archetype one is this. [22:45.800 --> 22:48.800] Mitchell Robinson of the next. [22:48.800 --> 22:52.800] Now, I know he's hurt and I also know he's not available. [22:52.800 --> 22:54.800] So this is not a good one. [22:54.800 --> 22:56.800] I also know he's not available. [22:56.800 --> 22:58.800] So this is not. [22:58.800 --> 23:01.800] You know, apples, towels. [23:01.800 --> 23:06.800] A Veaches Zuboz with the Clippers also hurt. [23:06.800 --> 23:14.800] Going to be out for about four weeks, but he would be perfect for the OKC Thunder. [23:14.800 --> 23:19.800] But the Clippers have already made a trade with the OKC Thunder. [23:19.800 --> 23:21.800] I can't see them going back to that. [23:21.800 --> 23:26.800] Well, it didn't work out very well for them the first time. [23:26.800 --> 23:30.800] I understand that Paul George is having an amazing season. [23:30.800 --> 23:35.800] But if you look at Shay and you look at some of the draft picks, it's hard. [23:35.800 --> 23:39.800] I mean, the Clippers helped build this juggernaut. [23:39.800 --> 23:45.800] So you have that. [23:45.800 --> 23:49.800] Evan Mowgli of the Cleveland Cavaliers. [23:49.800 --> 23:51.800] I think that's too much star power. [23:51.800 --> 24:01.800] I still think even with him struggling, that's a guy that would still, because he was a high, [24:01.800 --> 24:07.800] high, high lottery pick, you'd have to implement that into the offense and you'd have to, you [24:07.800 --> 24:14.800] know, give him touches and what have you and make him feel comfortable. [24:14.800 --> 24:16.800] Wendell Carter Jr. [24:16.800 --> 24:21.800] I really love him for the Lakers because we only need him to play 18 minutes. [24:21.800 --> 24:26.800] Now, he had a breakout game the other night where he had 25 and 11. [24:26.800 --> 24:28.800] Well, I think last night. [24:28.800 --> 24:32.800] And, you know, if it's starting to get healthy, it might be one. [24:32.800 --> 24:38.800] But if you're dealing with the injury history, you probably want to leave that one alone, right? [24:38.800 --> 24:42.800] Because we need this guy to play like 30 minutes game. [24:42.800 --> 24:46.800] And then I looked at Paul Reed. [24:46.800 --> 24:51.800] Now, Paul Reed, you got to go, you got to go deep in the crates for this. [24:51.800 --> 24:59.800] So if you are a real hoop head, and if you listen to this podcast, I know you are. [24:59.800 --> 25:04.800] You know that Paul Reed probably fits what we're looking at. [25:04.800 --> 25:10.800] The only thing is, I think we can do a little bit better, just a tad bit better, right? [25:10.800 --> 25:20.800] But Paul Reed, if you couldn't get the perfect, perfect guy, here is a good second option. [25:20.800 --> 25:24.800] The perfect guy to me for them. [25:24.800 --> 25:33.800] Now, it doesn't have not necessarily everything we want, but it has a lot of stuff that we are looking for. [25:33.800 --> 25:37.800] We wanted somebody who could suck up rebounds, right? [25:37.800 --> 25:40.800] Just vacuum up rebounds. [25:40.800 --> 25:43.800] We wanted somebody who could protect the rim. [25:43.800 --> 25:48.800] We wanted somebody who could be a little more physical, right? [25:48.800 --> 25:55.800] Jared Allen might be that guy and be able to fit in perfectly with the OKC Thunder. [25:55.800 --> 26:03.800] Here's a guy who doesn't need a ton of touches, even though when given the opportunity to score, he can't. [26:03.800 --> 26:04.800] And it's going to be on dunks. [26:04.800 --> 26:06.800] It's going to be on drop-offs, things of that nature. [26:06.800 --> 26:10.800] It's not going to be on him by just killing fools with post-mools. [26:10.800 --> 26:12.800] It's not a chemo-logic one. [26:12.800 --> 26:19.800] But it does have a purpose, especially with this driving cake team that you got. [26:19.800 --> 26:31.800] The other thing is, is that now you got somebody standing next to Chet, who can help him and bring some physicality that he doesn't necessarily bring at this present time. [26:31.800 --> 26:42.800] All we have to do is go back to the clipper game earlier in this week, I think it was Tuesday, and saw that he was just outside his mojo. [26:42.800 --> 26:46.800] And they picked on him physically. [26:46.800 --> 26:50.800] So it's not that Chet won't get there. [26:50.800 --> 26:51.800] He definitely will. [26:51.800 --> 26:52.800] We are. [26:52.800 --> 26:57.800] So FRPC has this due to his review of the year. [26:58.800 --> 27:00.800] Let's just put that to bear right now. [27:00.800 --> 27:03.800] But our guy, Wendy, is gaining on him. [27:03.800 --> 27:07.800] We're going to probably do something more windy sometime next week. [27:07.800 --> 27:10.800] I might have a guest coming. [27:10.800 --> 27:15.800] I have somebody who's really into the San Antonio scene. [27:15.800 --> 27:19.800] And I'm going to bring, I think I might have to unleash him next week. [27:19.800 --> 27:21.800] So stay tuned for that. [27:22.800 --> 27:27.800] Because when we are starting to make a real argument for this review of the year situation. [27:27.800 --> 27:31.800] All right, getting back to OKC. [27:31.800 --> 27:38.800] Getting somebody like Jared Allen definitely helps Chet in that regard, being able to bring some of the physicality. [27:38.800 --> 27:48.800] The other thing that he's going to be able to do is now you have two rim protectors who are excellent at blocking shots, who are deterrence at the rim. [27:49.800 --> 27:55.800] And now your, your defense is even a little bit better than it is. [27:59.800 --> 28:06.800] Other than that, I'm still all of the opinion with the OKC Thunder. [28:06.800 --> 28:13.800] And it just, it bothers my mind, just the amount of talent that they have. [28:14.800 --> 28:27.800] I mean, when you add now a movement shooter like Isaiah Joe and a young playmaker like Casey Wallace, they just give OKC an incredible balance. [28:29.800 --> 28:32.800] And the Thunder are just so young with that. [28:32.800 --> 28:38.800] That's the other thing with this is not, we're not even seen like, Chet is 21. [28:39.800 --> 28:41.800] J. Dove is 22, 23. [28:41.800 --> 28:44.800] Shea is still 25, 26. [28:44.800 --> 28:48.800] You got so many young pieces and they're still coming. [28:52.800 --> 29:03.800] Honestly, can we fall crusty in just using the picks to find the complimentary big that will have cost control, [29:04.800 --> 29:08.800] especially with how many bites of the apple that they actually presently have. [29:10.800 --> 29:24.800] Now, I know for a lot of fans out there that are trade mongers and, and you know, we just love, we just love the hype of, of whiskers and rumors and what have you. [29:25.800 --> 29:33.800] Now, OKC, when they make a move, nobody will know because press D has that thing locked up like a vault. [29:34.800 --> 29:42.800] But I wouldn't blame him if he said, Hey, dude, there's a couple of bigs that are in this draft. [29:42.800 --> 29:50.800] We can try this out and they're playing with house money because I think they're early to the dance. [29:51.800 --> 30:01.800] With J. Dove being, like I said, 22, 23 and Chet just turning 21 in case and Wallace not even being 20 yet. [30:01.800 --> 30:08.800] I mean, you got some situations right here where this has a lot of time to percolate. [30:08.800 --> 30:14.800] Now, in the NBA, we all know windows don't stay open forever. [30:14.800 --> 30:24.800] I do agree with you that it is better to be striking when the iron is hot to go ahead and make a move. [30:24.800 --> 30:32.800] But this team still has so much ammunition when it comes to drought and think about what we're asking for. [30:33.800 --> 30:41.800] We're asking for a big that is a little more tougher, a little more physical than Chet. [30:42.800 --> 30:46.800] Right. We're looking for somebody who can protect the rim. [30:47.800 --> 30:52.800] Kind of an athlete, basically, you know, a specimen. [30:53.800 --> 30:59.800] Sometimes you can find those in the drought, especially if you're looking specifically for that. [31:00.800 --> 31:06.800] And hell, with all the other picks, they still can still shoot for another home run guy. [31:06.800 --> 31:12.800] You know, if for some reason, not saying listen Thunderfans, I'm not saying that this is going to happen. [31:12.800 --> 31:24.800] But if for some reason you get priced out of the shade, Gildes Alexander, you know, lofty hemisphere he ends up in. [31:24.800 --> 31:30.800] Because this dude is starting to make all MBAs and MVP runs. [31:31.800 --> 31:39.800] The Supermax is officially on and popping in Oklahoma City. [31:39.800 --> 31:40.800] Okay. [31:40.800 --> 31:45.800] This dude is going to be 35% of the cap, no doubt. [31:45.800 --> 31:47.800] So keep that in mind. [31:47.800 --> 31:58.800] So I had a couple more stats for you and I want to make sure I give credit to my guy. [31:58.800 --> 32:04.800] B ball at B ball index on on X, B ball index on X. [32:06.800 --> 32:13.800] The Thunder quality of threes is beyond better than anyone else in the NBA. [32:13.800 --> 32:16.800] They're shooting at a higher rate as well. [32:17.800 --> 32:26.800] Lou Dor just banging threes at a 40% clip without a soul around him because they don't respect the shooting. [32:26.800 --> 32:28.800] I don't understand this. [32:28.800 --> 32:37.800] They get so much great spacing because driving kick game because when SGA goes to the hole and there's like three guys on them. [32:37.800 --> 32:41.800] Lou Dor just standing out there like all by his lotum. [32:41.800 --> 32:47.800] Just shooting threes, playing defense, having a great life. [32:47.800 --> 32:49.800] God bless America. [32:50.800 --> 33:01.800] When you when you have this many good ball handlers who can create looks for themselves. [33:01.800 --> 33:04.800] And create gravity. [33:04.800 --> 33:07.800] CSGA when I talk about that. [33:07.800 --> 33:15.800] That guys like Joe and Dort and Wallace can take practice rep threes. [33:15.800 --> 33:20.800] It's easy to see why OKC is for real. [33:20.800 --> 33:34.800] And at 30 and 11 with a offensive rating of 121.7 which is third to NBA and a defensive rating at 113.2 with a seventh in the NBA. [33:34.800 --> 33:40.800] And they have a net rating which ranks them second at plus 8.1. [33:41.800 --> 33:45.800] It's not it's not hard to see why OKC is so so good. [33:45.800 --> 33:47.800] Right. It really isn't. [33:47.800 --> 33:48.800] They are early. [33:48.800 --> 33:53.800] I think they're vulnerable to a veteran laden team. [33:53.800 --> 33:59.800] But I'm excited to see what kind of run they put together. [34:00.800 --> 34:11.800] Now, you know, we can't leave you without some some real like news and notes and some rumors and what's going on because trade deadline is coming up. [34:11.800 --> 34:14.800] We've had the we've had the OG and the Novitrade. [34:14.800 --> 34:16.800] We talked about that. [34:16.800 --> 34:18.800] We've had the Pascal C. Occam trade. [34:18.800 --> 34:20.800] We talked about that early in the week. [34:20.800 --> 34:23.800] Now, we had a bonus pod on that one. [34:23.800 --> 34:26.800] So remember, you're getting three pods this week. [34:27.800 --> 34:29.800] That is great. [34:29.800 --> 34:30.800] Three. [34:30.800 --> 34:31.800] All right. [34:31.800 --> 34:32.800] So. [34:34.800 --> 34:36.800] Here's what we are going on. [34:38.800 --> 34:40.800] I called them this. [34:40.800 --> 34:42.800] This is I coined this. [34:42.800 --> 34:44.800] So if I want. [34:44.800 --> 34:49.800] I think I'm going to need to go ahead and get this copyrighted. [34:50.800 --> 34:52.800] But the Bogdanaviges. [34:52.800 --> 34:55.800] I have coined them the Bogai. [34:55.800 --> 34:56.800] Okay. [34:56.800 --> 34:58.800] Instead of calling the Bogeys. [34:58.800 --> 35:02.800] I call them the Bogai because that's a more scientific term. [35:02.800 --> 35:03.800] Okay. [35:03.800 --> 35:07.800] We are we are analytical here on this podcast a little bit as well. [35:07.800 --> 35:08.800] Okay. [35:08.800 --> 35:11.800] We give you we do entertainment. [35:11.800 --> 35:12.800] Right. [35:12.800 --> 35:13.800] We're going to give you some fun. [35:13.800 --> 35:18.800] We're going to give you some news and notes, but we'll also give you a little analytics, [35:18.800 --> 35:26.800] which, again, shows out to my guy on X, be well at be well index for that great little thing. [35:26.800 --> 35:34.800] And I'll put it in the, I'll put it in the YouTube clip, the chart that he had on OKC with the shooting. [35:34.800 --> 35:46.800] But getting back to the rumors, the Bogai seem to be on Philadelphia 76ers list of people that they're interested in. [35:47.800 --> 35:48.800] Here's my question. [35:48.800 --> 35:54.800] Can Darrell Maury think better in as far as an upgrade is concerned? [35:54.800 --> 35:58.800] We can talk all we want about salary cap space. [35:58.800 --> 36:00.800] We all know what that means. [36:00.800 --> 36:01.800] False hope. [36:01.800 --> 36:02.800] Okay. [36:02.800 --> 36:03.800] Salary. [36:03.800 --> 36:05.800] Now, I know that Philadelphia is different. [36:05.800 --> 36:10.800] They have the great center and Bead is playing out of his mind. [36:10.800 --> 36:13.800] Maxi is playing great. [36:13.800 --> 36:21.800] And it would be absolute tragedy to allow this team to kind of fall short by not picking up the pieces this year. [36:21.800 --> 36:23.800] But that's not the whole point. [36:23.800 --> 36:25.800] We talked about salary cap. [36:25.800 --> 36:28.800] There's multiple ways of using salary cap. [36:28.800 --> 36:34.800] You can actually go into the free agency and just have that salary cap or you can use it in trade. [36:34.800 --> 36:40.800] You can say, I will eat up this salary cap now to go ahead and better my team now. [36:41.800 --> 36:46.800] And then I'll deal with the salary cap ramifications, you know, down the road. [36:46.800 --> 36:49.800] Or I just, this is what I have in this works. [36:49.800 --> 36:50.800] Right. [36:50.800 --> 36:54.800] There's multiple ways of doing it. [36:54.800 --> 36:58.800] I just wonder. [36:58.800 --> 37:02.800] There's a couple, there's a couple of things looking at it. [37:02.800 --> 37:09.800] I know that in Bead is not playing any better than what he is right now. [37:09.800 --> 37:12.800] Like this is the pinnacle of what in Bead has been. [37:12.800 --> 37:20.800] But also we're seeing a different in B. We're seeing an in Bead that is doing a lot more offensive facilitating. [37:20.800 --> 37:23.800] He's having him like six and a half assists now. [37:23.800 --> 37:24.800] This is crazy. [37:24.800 --> 37:25.800] Okay. [37:25.800 --> 37:28.800] This is a guy who, when God double team didn't know what to do. [37:28.800 --> 37:34.800] Now he's getting the ball out to shooters and trusting these guys to make the right decision. [37:34.800 --> 37:41.800] And it seems to be working because Philadelphia is playing great basketball right now. [37:41.800 --> 37:44.800] So it brings me to this question. [37:44.800 --> 37:50.800] Now, if you want to be patient and wait until the off season. [37:50.800 --> 37:58.800] Having five first round picks to trade instead of the three that the 76ers are going to have at the trade deadline. [37:58.800 --> 38:00.800] That might be something that you're thinking about. [38:00.800 --> 38:03.800] If you're going for the big, big, big net. [38:03.800 --> 38:10.800] It just depends on who is out there. [38:10.800 --> 38:13.800] Can it fit financially? [38:13.800 --> 38:16.800] Will it mess with what they want to do in the off season? [38:16.800 --> 38:22.800] I'm sure that Darrell Maury has about four or five different options on the table right now. [38:22.800 --> 38:29.800] And he's just looking on which option makes the best sense for the Philadelphia 76ers. [38:30.800 --> 38:32.800] Because here's the thing. [38:32.800 --> 38:36.800] You can go for the one year glory, grab the guys you need and get it. [38:36.800 --> 38:39.800] And then, yeah, it works. [38:39.800 --> 38:47.800] And then maybe next year it doesn't work because, you know, our guy. [38:47.800 --> 38:56.800] Pat Riley always talks about the disease of me when you win. [38:56.800 --> 38:57.800] Right. [38:58.800 --> 39:03.800] It's one of those things where I can see them definitely pulling trigger and doing something. [39:03.800 --> 39:06.800] There's a lot of guys out there that will definitely help them. [39:06.800 --> 39:10.800] Groose Brown will get to some of the guys who are out there in a second. [39:10.800 --> 39:12.800] And I'm about to get into that right now. [39:12.800 --> 39:14.800] Because here we go. [39:14.800 --> 39:16.800] Here's another one that's out there. [39:16.800 --> 39:20.800] There's a lot of smoke around Charlotte guard. [39:20.800 --> 39:25.800] Terry Rogier per Jake Fisher of Yahoo. [39:25.800 --> 39:29.800] The heat are looking for some more juice. [39:29.800 --> 39:37.800] And Terry Rogier would provide the heat with some offensive punch. [39:37.800 --> 39:44.800] Because right now the heat are leaning heavily on rookie Jaime high cast junior. [39:44.800 --> 39:47.800] Now, Jimmy boat has been in and out of line up. [39:47.800 --> 39:50.800] We know all about what Jimmy is trying to do. [39:50.800 --> 39:54.800] He's trying to preserve himself for the playoffs. [39:55.800 --> 40:09.800] But right now, if the heat are real serious about getting into that upper echelon of the eastern conference, they might need a little more offensive juice. [40:09.800 --> 40:12.800] Now, if they do get. [40:12.800 --> 40:19.800] If they do get Terry Rogier, you're also replacing the cow or Lowry minutes. [40:19.800 --> 40:22.800] Our guy has been a great vet for a long period of time. [40:22.800 --> 40:26.800] He's been on a championship team, a lot playoff teams. [40:26.800 --> 40:29.800] And he does provide a lot of great leadership. [40:29.800 --> 40:32.800] But if you can get. [40:32.800 --> 40:35.800] A guy who can give you 20 plus. [40:35.800 --> 40:41.800] Consistently and play gritty basketball for you. [40:41.800 --> 40:44.800] I understand that Kyle Lowry is a great leader. [40:44.800 --> 40:47.800] But sometimes you just need more. [40:47.800 --> 40:50.800] You just need more bullets in the gun. [40:50.800 --> 40:55.800] And Terry Rogier would absolutely provide that for the Miami Heat. [40:55.800 --> 40:59.800] Here's the other question. [40:59.800 --> 41:01.800] You know I had to slip in in there. [41:01.800 --> 41:05.800] Why aren't the Lakers looking at Terry Rogier? [41:05.800 --> 41:08.800] It is absolutely beyond me. [41:08.800 --> 41:18.800] It would take less to get Terry Rogier because I'm hearing that Atlanta wants Austin Reeves [41:18.800 --> 41:24.800] in the DeGente Murray situation. [41:24.800 --> 41:27.800] And it just seems to be a non-starter for the Lakers. [41:27.800 --> 41:30.800] We'll get to that. [41:30.800 --> 41:37.800] But here's a guy who's shown very well in the playoffs when he played for the Boston Celtics. [41:37.800 --> 41:44.800] Here's a player that would absolutely understand his role [41:44.800 --> 41:53.800] on a veteran-laden team led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis. [41:53.800 --> 42:04.800] I just don't understand why it just seems we're stuck in this superstar grab of people. [42:04.800 --> 42:06.800] I understand where I'm at. [42:06.800 --> 42:10.800] I understand the team that I choose to root for. [42:10.800 --> 42:16.800] I understand all that. [42:16.800 --> 42:20.800] Clutch is always a relationship that you want to keep strong and fruitful. [42:20.800 --> 42:26.800] But sometimes you just have to make a move that fits your team. [42:26.800 --> 42:33.800] And instead of just wedging a player in such as DeGente Murray, [42:33.800 --> 42:41.800] who would like to have the ball in his hands and you have LeBron James and Austin Reeves to do this. [42:41.800 --> 42:43.800] Now, let me say this. [42:43.800 --> 42:48.800] DeGente Murray is averaging 21.5 rebounds and 5 assists again. [42:48.800 --> 42:53.800] He's making 38% of his pull-up threes this year. [42:53.800 --> 42:56.800] He's also making 48% of his pull-up twos. [42:56.800 --> 42:59.800] So it's not like the Lakers couldn't use him. [42:59.800 --> 43:06.800] Please don't get it twisted and I'm sitting here saying to you that the Lakers do not need an upgrade somewhere. [43:06.800 --> 43:14.800] All I'm saying is that if you're looking at the two guys and you're looking at what Atlanta wants from you, [43:14.800 --> 43:24.800] how come you don't go out and get Terry Rogier, which who will cost you considerably less and do basically the exact same thing? [43:24.800 --> 43:27.800] That is my question. [43:28.800 --> 43:30.800] Rant over about the Lakers. [43:33.800 --> 43:41.800] Now that Bruce Brown is a Toronto rafter, I will tell that brother not to get a real estate agent anytime soon. [43:41.800 --> 43:45.800] I believe that Bruce Brown is going to be on the move. [43:45.800 --> 43:56.800] And what I mean by that is that there are teams already lining up to talk to Messiah Jerry about a Bruce Brown trade. [43:56.800 --> 44:00.800] Keep in mind, he fits a lot of contending teams. [44:00.800 --> 44:06.800] You know, a guy who doesn't need the basketball, who does shoot the three when he's open, [44:06.800 --> 44:14.800] who does do pick and roll, he likes to set picks, he plays very good defense. [44:14.800 --> 44:23.800] You know, it's just, he's the perfect Conquemarian player to a team that is looking to win. [44:23.800 --> 44:27.800] And it's just, it's, it's, here's the other thing, the contract is crazy. [44:27.800 --> 44:31.800] So you got a team option on the contract. [44:31.800 --> 44:38.800] So whether you decide to keep him next year or you just using him for the stretch run this year, [44:38.800 --> 44:48.800] you can either flip him to another team and root recoup, maybe some of your draft capital that you lost in the deal if you get him. [44:48.800 --> 44:53.800] Or if you just want to use it as cap potter, you can go ahead and say, [44:53.800 --> 44:56.800] all right, well, Bruce, it's been real nice. [44:56.800 --> 45:04.800] You fit us this year, audio and keep it moving and do whatever it is that you're going to do in the off season. [45:04.800 --> 45:12.800] So it's an attractive contract to have. [45:12.800 --> 45:21.800] So do the Raptors want to a more promising young player who are getting enough plan time where they are right now? [45:21.800 --> 45:28.800] Or are they going to stockpile more picks to be aggressive in the upcoming seasons? [45:28.800 --> 45:32.800] I wonder what the next trade brings for the Toronto Raptors. [45:32.800 --> 45:35.800] Because in the first trade, they went player heavy. [45:35.800 --> 45:39.800] They said, we want Barrett and we want quickly. [45:39.800 --> 45:43.800] So if you're in the Pascal C. Occam trade, they went pick heavy. [45:43.800 --> 45:47.800] They said, we'll take Bruce Brown, who kind of fits our team. [45:47.800 --> 45:53.800] We'll have you, but we might use him for trade and we're also getting three first rounders back as well. [45:53.800 --> 46:00.800] So I wonder which way the Toronto Raptors will go with this next trade. [46:00.800 --> 46:06.800] Stay tuned because we will have more answers on this as it develops. [46:06.800 --> 46:09.800] What else do we need to get to? [46:09.800 --> 46:18.800] Oh, and also Messiah already said that he is still looking to make more trades in his press conference. [46:18.800 --> 46:24.800] So this is not something that is out there and it's just reckless speculation. [46:24.800 --> 46:27.800] This is something that comes straight from the man's mouth. [46:27.800 --> 46:31.800] The president of the Toronto Raptors said there will be more trades made. [46:31.800 --> 46:35.800] So he's looking to reimagine his team right now. [46:35.800 --> 46:43.800] And I'm looking forward to it because we've had a, like a, I don't even know what you want to call it. [46:43.800 --> 46:46.800] I want sabbatical might be the best term. [46:46.800 --> 46:53.800] Couple years of sabbatical of Messiah Jerry, but now he's back in the mix, mixing it up, getting trades done. [46:53.800 --> 46:57.800] And I'm happy about it because it's more to talk about. [46:57.800 --> 46:59.800] Got dog it? [46:59.800 --> 47:01.800] All right. [47:01.800 --> 47:03.800] Back on to the John T. Martin. [47:03.800 --> 47:05.800] Let's get back on to this real quick. [47:05.800 --> 47:10.800] The Nets, Bucks, Heat are all in on to John T. Martin. [47:10.800 --> 47:20.800] Now, my question is this is that, okay, I know that they asked for Austin Reeves from the Lakers. [47:20.800 --> 47:24.800] What does Milwaukee have to get? [47:24.800 --> 47:30.800] Does Milwaukee have this like young prospect that I'm not aware of? [47:30.800 --> 47:33.800] I mean, I know Giannis won't be on that deal. [47:33.800 --> 47:35.800] I know Dame won't be on that deal. [47:35.800 --> 47:38.800] Middleton is not a young prospect. [47:38.800 --> 47:39.800] Huh. [47:39.800 --> 47:41.800] I don't know how Milwaukee gets them. [47:41.800 --> 47:44.800] I think their name was just thrown out there. [47:44.800 --> 47:46.800] The Nets. [47:46.800 --> 47:55.800] Now, that's the team that you can worry about because they have all the desirable things that you would want in a trade. [47:55.800 --> 47:56.800] They have the picks. [47:56.800 --> 48:03.800] They have the young players that fit what maybe Atlanta is looking for. [48:03.800 --> 48:05.800] That might be a team. [48:05.800 --> 48:14.800] I can understand if they were giving you young wings that would develop into a way that you feel comfortable with. [48:14.800 --> 48:19.800] I can see Atlanta doing something like that. [48:20.800 --> 48:29.800] I've also heard that Atlanta is looking to recoup a little bit of what they lost in the deal in the initial Murray deal. [48:29.800 --> 48:33.800] So remember, that was three picks and a swap. [48:33.800 --> 48:40.800] Now, I know that Dejante hasn't been the defensive guy that he once was in San Antonio. [48:40.800 --> 48:43.800] Is that something that can be rediscovered? [48:43.800 --> 48:46.800] Would you be banking on that? [48:46.800 --> 48:49.800] How many firsts is that worth? [48:49.800 --> 48:52.800] That's the other question that you have to ask yourself. [48:52.800 --> 48:59.800] How many firsts is that worth to you to get Dejante Murray? [48:59.800 --> 49:09.800] And where does that put you in the pecking order, which is either the Western Conference or the Eastern Conference, depending on where he goes. [49:09.800 --> 49:13.800] But as long as he is out there, we will continue to talk about it. [49:13.800 --> 49:18.800] And I am extremely, extremely excited about it. [49:18.800 --> 49:22.800] All right, let's get to this. [49:22.800 --> 49:29.800] Now that Pascal Siacom is in Indiana, what are the Golden State Warriors going to do? [49:29.800 --> 49:37.800] Now, first and foremost, what we want to do is we want to take this moment to send our condolences [49:38.800 --> 49:47.800] to the entire Golden State Warriors organization from the Lakers all the way down. [49:47.800 --> 49:56.800] They lost an assistant coach this last week, Dejante, Mila Jacobs. [49:56.800 --> 50:06.800] So butchering the name right now, but I do want to send my condolences to his family. [50:06.800 --> 50:10.800] And what we've heard of him. [50:10.800 --> 50:13.800] Everybody's come out. [50:13.800 --> 50:17.800] Yokech. [50:17.800 --> 50:21.800] The both by Donovanges. [50:21.800 --> 50:25.800] Meechich from OKC. [50:25.800 --> 50:34.800] He has been instrumental in a lot of the Baltic state guys coming over here. [50:34.800 --> 50:39.800] Noga Batase said some glowing words about him as well. [50:39.800 --> 50:46.800] And from all that I've gathered with him is that his soul was beautiful. [50:46.800 --> 50:49.800] He came to work every day with a smile on his face. [50:49.800 --> 50:53.800] He came to work with gratitude in his heart. [50:53.800 --> 50:56.800] He came to work thinking like we get to do this. [50:56.800 --> 51:00.800] We get the opportunity to do this. [51:00.800 --> 51:12.800] And if we can learn anything from this man's death, if you can just turn one phrase around. [51:12.800 --> 51:21.800] Because I noticed that I have a different outlook when I say I get the opportunity to do this. [51:21.800 --> 51:26.800] Rather than oh, I have to do this. [51:26.800 --> 51:30.800] I have to do this or I got to do this. [51:30.800 --> 51:40.800] But when I say oh man, I'm getting the opportunity to do this, there's a whole essence with that. [51:40.800 --> 51:43.800] There's a whole presence with that. [51:43.800 --> 51:50.800] And that's what Dejan did throughout his time with the Golden State Warriors. [51:50.800 --> 52:02.800] And again, I want to send out our heartfelt condolences to the entire Golden State Warriors organization and this man's family, his wife and kids. [52:02.800 --> 52:09.800] So Dejan was taken away from us way too soon. [52:09.800 --> 52:13.800] And it was a life well lived though. [52:13.800 --> 52:14.800] We can say that. [52:14.800 --> 52:17.800] So our teacher, our guy. [52:17.800 --> 52:22.800] Now getting back to the Golden State Warriors and the business at hand. [52:22.800 --> 52:25.800] What are they going to do? [52:25.800 --> 52:27.800] Because they're too small. [52:27.800 --> 52:33.800] And also Steph at this point needs, he needs a second guy. [52:33.800 --> 52:36.800] No offense to Clay. [52:36.800 --> 52:43.800] But right now, Steph Curry is carrying an offense. [52:43.800 --> 52:47.800] He doesn't have a secondary score to go with him. [52:47.800 --> 52:49.800] Clay can't give it to you every night. [52:49.800 --> 52:54.800] He just is the injuries and the age is all caught up with him. [52:54.800 --> 52:59.800] He doesn't have a lot extra to his game at this point. [52:59.800 --> 53:05.800] I think he could still help the Warriors in a tertiary role. [53:05.800 --> 53:13.800] But if you're asking him to be the second, the Robin 2, Steph's Batman, I just don't think he can carry that low. [53:13.800 --> 53:16.800] Caminga. [53:16.800 --> 53:17.800] Kate. [53:17.800 --> 53:20.800] Curry needs to trust him. [53:20.800 --> 53:22.800] You know, you need to trust his third year player. [53:22.800 --> 53:26.800] Let him play his through his mistakes because he gives you the energy. [53:26.800 --> 53:28.800] He gives you the passion that you need on the court. [53:28.800 --> 53:33.800] He's giving you juice that your team desperately needs. [53:33.800 --> 53:37.800] Unless he's going to be part of a trade to make your team better. [53:37.800 --> 53:41.800] Wiggins has been absolutely terrible this year. [53:41.800 --> 53:44.800] Andrew Wiggins, I don't know what went down. [53:44.800 --> 53:50.800] But the guy who was helping the Golden State Warriors win a championship. [53:50.800 --> 53:56.800] A couple years ago, grabbing like 12, 13 boards a game, that guy has disappeared. [53:56.800 --> 54:00.800] And for some reason, never to be seen again. [54:00.800 --> 54:08.800] Now, I'm going to take you back to a time that was better in San Francisco. [54:08.800 --> 54:12.800] They just won the NBA championships. [54:12.800 --> 54:15.800] Steph, you know, can't believe it. [54:15.800 --> 54:17.800] He won one without Durant. [54:17.800 --> 54:26.800] But in that celebration, there was a point where I saw Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole huddled up. [54:26.800 --> 54:28.800] And their mics were hot. [54:28.800 --> 54:34.800] And they said, boy, we are about to get paid. [54:34.800 --> 54:36.800] And it struck me. [54:36.800 --> 54:38.800] They're talking about that. [54:38.800 --> 54:43.800] And the other guys are talking about, man, we just completed this journey of winning. [54:43.800 --> 54:46.800] Now, let me tell you something. [54:46.800 --> 54:50.800] I'm all about dudes getting paid. [54:50.800 --> 54:54.800] But here's the funny part about it is. [54:54.800 --> 54:59.800] If you just keep doing what you're doing, you're going to get paid. [54:59.800 --> 55:06.800] If you continue to rebound and shoot the basketball and play the defense that you're [55:06.800 --> 55:11.800] doing, they don't look at your contract now and go, that's one of the worst contracts in the [55:11.800 --> 55:12.800] league. [55:12.800 --> 55:17.800] That is what I had an exec tell me about Andrew Wiggins contract. [55:17.800 --> 55:20.800] It is one of the worst in the league. [55:21.800 --> 55:28.800] How do you go from second best player in the NBA finals? [55:28.800 --> 55:31.800] And that is not hyperbolic. [55:31.800 --> 55:36.800] You have stuff and then you had Andrew Wiggins and then you can name like three or four Boston [55:36.800 --> 55:39.800] players and then come back to Boston. [55:39.800 --> 55:42.800] I mean, you come back to Golden State. [55:42.800 --> 55:46.800] But Andrew Wiggins was an absolute beast in that series. [55:46.800 --> 55:52.800] And now his contract is considered one of the worst in the league. [55:52.800 --> 55:56.800] If you keep playing well, you keep getting money. [55:56.800 --> 55:57.800] That's how it works. [55:57.800 --> 55:59.800] Look at LeBron James. [55:59.800 --> 56:01.800] He keeps playing well. [56:01.800 --> 56:03.800] He keeps getting paid. [56:03.800 --> 56:11.800] Steph Curry, 35 years old, keeps playing well, keeps getting paid. [56:11.800 --> 56:12.800] You know what I'm saying? [56:12.800 --> 56:14.800] That's kind of how it works. [56:15.800 --> 56:16.800] But I find it interesting. [56:16.800 --> 56:21.800] You should go back and find that clip because it is out there. [56:21.800 --> 56:29.800] Those two dudes, Jordan Poole, who is now in Washington, struggling and Andrew Wiggins were [56:29.800 --> 56:32.800] huddled up and talking about, boy, we are about to get paid. [56:32.800 --> 56:35.800] They just won the championship. [56:35.800 --> 56:36.800] Just won it. [56:36.800 --> 56:41.800] So it tells you where your priorities are. [56:41.800 --> 56:44.800] Now, here's the thing. [56:44.800 --> 56:45.800] We can talk about Wiggins. [56:45.800 --> 56:49.800] We can talk about Pazimsky and how good a rookie year he's had. [56:49.800 --> 56:51.800] We can talk about Moody not getting the burn. [56:51.800 --> 56:56.800] You know, he needs to get 30 minutes to see what he actually is. [56:56.800 --> 56:57.800] Here's all this. [56:57.800 --> 56:59.800] All that can be done. [56:59.800 --> 57:03.800] But at the end of the day, we can look at this team and make an honest assessment. [57:03.800 --> 57:05.800] They're too small. [57:05.800 --> 57:10.800] Looney, for some reason, looks not. [57:10.800 --> 57:12.800] He looks not healthy. [57:12.800 --> 57:13.800] That's what he looks like. [57:13.800 --> 57:24.800] He looks like a person that is either not healthy or his, because of the injuries that he has [57:24.800 --> 57:28.800] had, have taken a complete toll and he's done. [57:28.800 --> 57:31.800] Now, I'm not saying, I'm not speculating on any of that. [57:31.800 --> 57:34.800] I'm just saying it's either one or the other. [57:34.800 --> 57:42.800] He's either injured right now or he's just been through so many wars and at 28, he's [57:42.800 --> 57:47.800] done, which is crazy. [57:47.800 --> 57:56.800] But the Golden State Warriors don't go out and make a move for something that is going to impact [57:56.800 --> 58:02.800] them on the defensive end and also be able to provide them with a scoring punch. [58:02.800 --> 58:05.800] So that is a heavy ask. [58:05.800 --> 58:12.800] You are talking about a real player when it comes to that. [58:12.800 --> 58:15.800] What do you do? [58:15.800 --> 58:21.800] Because if you can't get an impactful player that gets them into the mix, what are you doing [58:21.800 --> 58:25.800] with Steph Curry? [58:25.800 --> 58:30.800] I mean, I'm not sitting here telling you that you need to trade him. [58:30.800 --> 58:33.800] That is not what I'm saying. [58:33.800 --> 58:45.800] I'm just saying that there needs to be a plan to see the last couple years of Curry's crime [58:45.800 --> 58:56.800] be valued and respected and put into a situation where he has an opportunity to win. [58:57.800 --> 59:02.800] All right, guys, with that being said, we can get up out of here. [59:02.800 --> 59:05.800] So happy Saturday to everyone. [59:05.800 --> 59:07.800] I appreciate everyone. [59:07.800 --> 59:13.800] Man, the downloads are crazy, but we are trying to get to the next level. [59:13.800 --> 59:19.800] And that next level is, you know, we got a bunch of community. [59:19.800 --> 59:23.800] I can open up a discord for everybody. [59:23.800 --> 59:26.800] That's the kind of stuff that I'm looking for. [59:26.800 --> 59:34.800] So if you're a hoop fan, if you are in a fantasy, if you're in a betting, FRPC is the place to [59:34.800 --> 59:38.800] be front runner podcast collective. [59:38.800 --> 59:46.800] Keep it locked with us on a weekly basis because two, three pods, for sure. [59:46.800 --> 59:47.800] You know what I'm saying? [59:47.800 --> 59:49.800] Two, for sure. [59:49.800 --> 59:51.800] Three, we have to do a bonus pod. [59:51.800 --> 59:58.800] So you know, you're always going to get the heat and it's always going to be spicy when [59:58.800 --> 59:59.800] you come here. [59:59.800 --> 01:00:00.800] All right.

[01:00:00] I'm out.
