[00:00:00] If the Monday you know what time it is, FRPC is back on the air and I, in your host's

[00:00:17] vents and we need to tap in what's going on around the NBA because it is now time for

[00:00:27] trades. Everybody who signed a contract in the off season is now eligible for trades. There's

[00:00:35] a couple exceptions here and there but all the names that we kind of heard, the rumors,

[00:00:41] the whispers, whatever it's all out there now, it's all available so we're going to get

[00:00:47] into that today. I do want to say that the reason for the one-high last week we had

[00:00:56] an injury in the family, my wife had a severely sprained ankle. It was not pretty or ankle

[00:01:07] touched earth so we have a boot and we are working vigorously around the clock to get the lump

[00:01:20] off her ankle to go away. So we're all day-to-day around here. So with that being said, before

[00:01:31] we get into everything we got to get into with the trades and the couple teams I want to

[00:01:37] kind of look at and kind of observe and kind of see where they are at this present time. So if you

[00:01:45] are a Rust Belt fan you're going to love this pie because we're all up in the Midwest. But if

[00:01:53] you're not following the podcast please do so on Spotify, Apple, Amazon and all major podcast

[00:02:01] platforms. And also remember to give us that fly start rating and leave a comment so if we're

[00:02:08] not touching on your team or a player or certain draft pick I have news on that coming. And we've

[00:02:17] got some stuff coming with the draft so leave a comment, let us know what we can do to

[00:02:25] servers you ever. With that being said also keep in mind that we put up clips on our YouTube channel

[00:02:39] as well which is FrontRunner Podcasts Collective. So if you want to buy FrontRunner Podcasts collective,

[00:02:46] if you want the YouTube channel FrontRunner Podcasts Collective as well. The great thing about the

[00:02:53] YouTube channel is that it's basically clips of the pod. Well then whatever we weren't able to stick

[00:03:00] into the pod and it was like a note that we were you know they kind of let us down a rabbit hole

[00:03:08] or for the pod it usually goes in the YouTube clip. So if there's something that maybe I didn't touch

[00:03:16] on it might end up when that clip so subscribe to the YouTube channel as well. And also tap in with

[00:03:23] this on X or formerly known as Twitter at FrontRunner PC and also at Nico FrPC. And we will get to Nico

[00:03:35] in a little while there's some news coming up on that as well. Okay so since we've been gone the

[00:03:44] Clippers have signed Kawaii Leonard to a three-year extension. Now this is on the estimated cap projections

[00:03:54] so it could change but how it looks it's like 52 the first year and then it flags out to 50

[00:04:04] and 50 the followings which is great cost control, descendant contract, good deal. It gets you to

[00:04:14] Kawaii's age 36 year if there is stuff left in the tank which we've seen this year look like looks

[00:04:25] like that's kind of where we are. And that's something that is positive especially again knowing what

[00:04:33] Palmer has built in Inglewood. This was not just for yes he has started to play well and play him a

[00:04:45] lot of games but this is also for I need some people to get some season tickets for our new

[00:04:54] arena. So good deal all the way around as of right now Paul George not close and James Harden

[00:05:05] there's nothing on the horizon as yet with those guys but I expect that there will be

[00:05:13] ongoing talks with those two guys because Kawaii even said in his press conference he actually spoke

[00:05:22] actual words and he said you know now it's time to bring the rest of guys on as well. So

[00:05:34] I know there are people who are kind of looking at Philadelphia and going they're gonna have a ton

[00:05:38] of cap space going into next year and they're envisioning a college horse in Philadelphia. Keep in

[00:05:47] mind all George is a Southern California kid also keeping mine that he pretty much wanted to come

[00:05:59] back to Los Angeles and kind of shot his way out of okay see a little bit so I think he's kind

[00:06:07] of where he wants to be. And somebody had brought up a really interesting point he's in a really great

[00:06:16] position. He's in Los Angeles he's gonna be making near max money and also he's on a team where

[00:06:27] no offense to clipper fans does not allow you and the passion is not super super deep

[00:06:35] so it's not like he has this scrutiny upon him in Los Angeles if for some reason the clippers don't

[00:06:44] bring home a championship. Why would you want to go to the pressure cooker that is Philadelphia?

[00:06:53] I don't know of a more demanding city I'm not saying it's a bad city I like the passion I enjoy it

[00:07:01] shout out to our Philadelphia fans out there but at the end of the day if I'm called George I'm

[00:07:08] off stand right in Southern California I'm not moving in I'm not doing any of that so

[00:07:14] but we'll see how it goes and as soon as we know something you'll know something.

[00:07:19] We're gonna move on to a couple teams and then we'll get to the rumors and everything like that

[00:07:26] but couple observations that I've had over the weekend and I wanted to talk about the Milwaukee

[00:07:33] a little bit. Milwaukee right now is currently what are they 26 and 12 actually they might let's

[00:07:43] update that's just update that for you. Milwaukee is 28 and 12 at this point in time they're

[00:07:52] second in the east. 14 they have the bunch of doom and gloom around it because the defense is not

[00:08:02] as up to par it's getting better lately. Dame is exactly who he is he's he's never been a defender

[00:08:12] that was part of the problem in Portland but you had two small guards and now during a situation where

[00:08:23] you don't have that compliment really guard next to Dame. Drew Holiday who you traded in the

[00:08:30] Dame trade if you would have been able to somehow keep him which that deal was not going to get done

[00:08:35] without Drew Holiday. That was the tradeoff you were trading offense or defense and also the

[00:08:45] offense hasn't looked exactly how you thought it was going to look with all of the picking roles with

[00:08:53] Yanis and Dame that doesn't seem to have come to fruition. Yanis doesn't seem very interested in it

[00:09:04] so far and maybe he's just saving it for the playoffs who knows maybe it's just a secret weapon I don't

[00:09:10] know but that was going to be the tradeoff and 14 who was really still trying to find themselves

[00:09:19] 28 and 12. I mean you would kill for that that is that we're pretty much at the halfway mark

[00:09:27] in their 28 and 12. That's a 70% clip. Pretty good deal 14 that is still searching for its identity.

[00:09:41] Also keep in mind this was the team that had the Terry Stotch deal before the start of the season

[00:09:49] former head coach, wall time head coach of the Portland Trailblazers. Good off into mine supposedly

[00:09:56] worked well with Dame in Portland. Adrian Griffin and him do not see eye to eye. He leaves before

[00:10:07] to see the start. Adrian Griffin tries to put in this different defense it kind of fails miserably

[00:10:16] either because the players didn't believe in it or it just wasn't going to work. You can you can

[00:10:24] battle on which one you want to deal with on that one but here's the thing that drop coverage

[00:10:31] that works and that's what they're used to and that's what they've had the success with

[00:10:37] and that's what happens when the leaders of the team go to Adrian Griffin and say hey we need

[00:10:43] to go back to this defense because it works for us and we're more comfortable in it.

[00:10:51] With all that being said here they are two and a half games behind the Celtics who are

[00:11:00] first in all the NBA there's a best team elite and it's I don't see the panic that everybody else sees

[00:11:10] is there a trade or is there some sort of augmentation to the rotation that you can do possibly

[00:11:21] but I think you're getting what you thought you were going to get from Dame who's an absolute killer

[00:11:28] at the end of the game in Yannis who is one of the most undeniable forces when he's going towards

[00:11:34] the rim. So I'm looking at Milwaukee and going hey not real not real worried about what's going on

[00:11:44] over there so now they've had some games lately that they started to kind of show

[00:11:52] what they're going to look like when they're fully formed that blow out win against the Celtics.

[00:11:59] Now people will tell you the Celtics played five games in seven days and that's true

[00:12:08] but that was maybe a game you mark on your calendar maybe you take now they had

[00:12:15] a overtime game the night before in Minnesota and then went to go play Milwaukee. I understand

[00:12:22] the tire legs I understand the you know the poor effort I don't think you take a lot from this game and say

[00:12:30] hey the Celtics are in trouble or hey Milwaukee's absolutely back. I just look at it as one team

[00:12:42] was coming off a delicious game against a really good Minnesota team. At the travel go to Milwaukee

[00:12:52] and they got a they caught a scene that was that was waiting on them. So with that being said

[00:13:00] great win for Milwaukee good that you show that type of fight in a regular season game that you

[00:13:11] wanted to put a game plan together make it work and then allow you know allow the pieces that

[00:13:19] you put together to showcase their talents. So Bravo on that a couple other standouts of that the

[00:13:30] 25-0 run the blood saddening game pretty impressive they out rebounded the Celtics 54-31

[00:13:42] pretty good and basically like I said this game was I don't look at it and say hey there's a lot

[00:13:54] to clean from this game you know this we should be really focusing in on what really transpired in

[00:14:00] this game no. I think if these teams meet in the playoffs it's gonna be an absolute dog fight

[00:14:06] you know me or for it it's just good content I don't know what to say about that.

[00:14:14] Okay market collective obviously it is apparent that the Bucks need perimeter defense

[00:14:24] in the worst way we just talked about the Dave Sheryl goes on defense

[00:14:29] there's gonna have to be some sort of refashioning of their rotation to kind of maybe

[00:14:39] put somebody with Dave or grab somebody they I don't know what they have to offer not

[00:14:46] to dig into that but I'm working at that team and they need somebody who can provide

[00:14:54] some sort of resistance on the perimeter so I don't know how you go and get that or if it's

[00:15:01] something something that you have on your bench that you have not utilized to its fullest extent

[00:15:07] yet I.E. Andre Jackson Jr. and Mochot Bochamp those guys need more burn if you're going to make a

[00:15:19] serious run at this title and you're not going to try to put up 135 points every single game.

[00:15:30] Now let me ask this question if they do have some pieces to trade a couple names to kind of

[00:15:39] think about if you're Milwaukee and maybe because of the fact there may be a little bit of a

[00:15:46] distress asset you can get them on the cheek I bought Sacramento Kings Davin Omnichal

[00:15:55] now I know he's he's short with the one thing about Davin Omnichal his defense is tenacity

[00:16:04] his pressure on ball is something that is absolutely needed in Milwaukee

[00:16:09] another name to look out for is Matisse Thighold of the Portland Trail Blazers now this is a wing

[00:16:20] now it looks like the shot has gotten a little bit better you still don't respect it it's not

[00:16:25] like he's drawing people out but if he can knock that that knock that three point shot down at a

[00:16:32] respectable level even like 35 36% and you can have him on the court with game that just helps the

[00:16:42] defense so tremendously because you still because Burke Show did in the Boston game he still can give

[00:16:49] it to you and if you're talking about this type of series and being able to be a coinant with

[00:16:55] the team for multiple games yeah I think you'll see the best out of Brooke Lopez and you'll see

[00:17:01] the best out of Yannis. Well the teams I want to get to and it's in still the Midwest let's talk

[00:17:12] a little bit about the Cleveland Cavaliers let them know fam how's it going we are going to spend

[00:17:18] a little time on your team they are 22 and 15 they are now four in the east man that east

[00:17:28] changes like every day it's like they were six at one point like I think they're now there four

[00:17:34] but with that being said they are fourth in the east they have had a ton of injuries obviously

[00:17:44] with Darius Garland and Evan Moglie being out for long stretches of time but what is done it's kind

[00:17:54] of simplified the offense. Donovan Mitchell has been able to showcase and be the the on-ball guy

[00:18:01] that he can be and likes to be let's be frank and also because you don't have the extra big who

[00:18:12] can't shoot you got a bunch of shooters around Donovan Mitchell and then you have the lockbred

[00:18:18] that's Jared Allen who's absolutely turning it up on second chances he's everything like in this

[00:18:25] stretch about 12.4 rebounds of game so it's one of those things where maybe less is more but

[00:18:36] who do I mean if there was anybody to get rid of and I'm not trying to you know trade anybody from

[00:18:43] Cleveland but if you seen this type of play out of your team is there a chance that you can move

[00:18:54] on from Moglie and get the pieces that are maybe a little bit better than what you currently have

[00:19:02] is there a possibility there it have you made a decision on Darius Garland or Donovan Mitchell or

[00:19:11] how are you going to keep both now I know it said in the press know they reported that

[00:19:18] they're gonna ride out the Donovan Mitchell contract. I definitely we've heard it we've seen it

[00:19:25] it's been everywhere check check Instagram check ESPNnews.com whatever

[00:19:35] is all over the place but at some point you're gonna have to lock him up okay you also are

[00:19:50] you also are probably in a situation where you're locking up Evan Moglie as well so

[00:19:58] your team is about to get really really expensive or you need to make a decision on Garland or

[00:20:05] Moble or Garland or Donovan Mitchell and see where you want to go now the you know it's a hard

[00:20:16] choice you really don't have to make it this year it's really into next year but if you want the

[00:20:24] most value for Donovan Mitchell this is the time to do it don't go into next year and then

[00:20:33] have him have a off season where his friends can talk to him always lovely here is great the vibes

[00:20:40] are great all you come in week me championship no don't do it make your decision draw your line in

[00:20:49] the sand Kobe Altman and see which way you want to go cold guys I want to shout out on Cleveland

[00:21:01] since this kind of emergence and everybody's been heard Sam Morelle has played absolutely

[00:21:07] spectacular in a five game strategy average 12 plus points of game he is also 17 of 46 from three

[00:21:18] that's nice that's real real nice and he's averaging nine three point attempts again so he's

[00:21:26] getting them up he's getting shots up and making a difference

[00:21:34] Ferris Lever is also having a really excellent year he's average in 16 points of game you know

[00:21:43] for the year but in the last five he's averaging 22 plus points of game 13 to 29

[00:21:51] from three in his last five I just think that the name not George Neyank Ferris Lever max

[00:22:04] truce that coalition that has been brought together this year it's just really stabilized that team

[00:22:13] I like Keres Lever's role I like him that he's flourished in it and it's it's really something that

[00:22:22] you can lay your you can just you can lay your hat down on that well what you're doing my question

[00:22:29] is is that can you get to a point where you don't do a rebuild you're kind of like changing parts on

[00:22:40] the fly and my question is can you get to the one big and then have like the the real stretch big

[00:22:49] and then depend on which one do you want to keep do you want to keep the Evan Mowgli who could

[00:22:55] turn out to be a generational defensive player he'll just need to grow into the five position

[00:23:02] or do you go with the ready-made Jared Allen and then get a shooter around him

[00:23:07] these are all things you can do and you got the pieces to do it I'm not telling you what to do I'm

[00:23:14] just saying these are the things that other executives are talking about about your team so keep

[00:23:23] this in mind this is coming from other places not your organization and we'll see what happens

[00:23:30] but kudos to the Cavaliers man they're doing they're doing big and I really like what they got

[00:23:36] going and remember the talk around the coach remember there was a situation where they were talking

[00:23:44] like maybe they're not responding to him maybe they're not you know it's not where it needs to be

[00:23:52] and maybe they need to grade that situation and now all you've done is taken you've basically

[00:23:58] simplified the product and is better and now people have like real defined roles and the problem

[00:24:08] is is that when you have Derri's Garland who wants to ball lot Donovan Mitchell who wants to ball lot

[00:24:14] both are tiny guards again this is C Portland Trailblazer it's the last 10 years

[00:24:22] that's what your future holds if you continue this this Gar combo but I just think they have a

[00:24:33] really tremendous opportunity and they could get themselves into the that real upper echelon and

[00:24:39] we could be talking about this team in a completely different light with a couple moves so

[00:24:46] you know just hey it's just my opinion all right the last thing that I want to talk about before we

[00:24:55] get into some of these rumors that I've been hearing out there and what have you is the Sacramento Kings

[00:25:02] Sacramento Kings have been playing very very well they are now 23 and 16

[00:25:15] it's not as good as it was last year right but they kind of like stabilized and what I mean by that is

[00:25:24] that they're not they're not your same old Sacramento Kings they're a relevant playoff team right

[00:25:36] scare anybody but they didn't do enough in the offseason and I'm not I don't want to throw shade

[00:25:46] this is not a shade situation maybe it just wasn't available out there you know sometimes the best

[00:25:53] trades or the trades that you don't make sometimes the best signings are the signings you don't you

[00:26:00] don't sign you know how do we feel if we have Jeremy Grant at 30 plus million dollars how do we

[00:26:10] feel about that probably not great right so they kind of settle in into this like higher middle class

[00:26:19] of the west which is not a bad place to be Keegan Murray has awakened over the last five games 22.7

[00:26:28] rebounds 15 of 32 from behind three point line here's the thing he's a second year forward

[00:26:38] he is taking on some of some extra offensive burden this year it's kind of like Harrison Barnes

[00:26:46] and Keegan Murray has switched roles where he's taking kind of like the third lion share of the shots

[00:26:55] which that's what it should be and it took him a while to kind of like okay I'm taking on more volume

[00:27:04] is my efficiency going to be there and it's he struggled early in the year with it but my ground

[00:27:12] has been telling Keegan Murray to shoot the ball when open like every single time

[00:27:20] like I think Keegan Murray hears Mike Brown in his sleep say shoot right

[00:27:30] I think this is just the development of a guy and you already have one guy in Duran Fox

[00:27:38] and I know people say well Vince are you this is slander towards Dumanta Sivonis no we've done breakout videos

[00:27:44] on Sivonis and we'll have you he's a he's up he's a staunch rotational player on a really really good

[00:27:52] team but we both know myself and audience that's why I say both you guys are a part of this

[00:28:02] I'm not just talking to myself all right we both know okay is that Dumanta is deficient in the defensive

[00:28:11] realm of the basketball game and if Sacramento kind of really wants to take a step up and be

[00:28:20] considered and like you don't want to feel like you're afterthought in this western conference

[00:28:26] and where did you fit in the in the pecking order you gonna need to upgrade that defense somewhere bro

[00:28:33] that's where it's at you know maybe this guy also can provide some offense as well

[00:28:43] you know um OG Annanobi would have been a good fit

[00:28:49] you know I I kind of cool cool that trade for a long period time oh don't you know don't do it he's not

[00:28:59] you know he doesn't shoot it enough or whatever and you know what as far as defense is concerned

[00:29:07] he would have provided that now I still think you needed somebody bigger that was kind of why I was

[00:29:13] out on the OG Annanobi situation now if you're talking maybe and we'll get into it in a second

[00:29:22] while what is out there but there's some names out there that you can possibly get yourself into

[00:29:31] you know you might have to be like a third wheel on a deal maybe you are greasing the

[00:29:36] wheels to facilitate a bigger deal who knows but at the end of the day to have sacramental feel like

[00:29:46] people are disrespected them because it's like yes are you a good story are you gonna be a playoff

[00:29:51] team all these things are true are you gonna like the beam a lot of times this year yes

[00:29:57] but do we think you're first round exit yeah we do we think you're first round exit prove us wrong

[00:30:08] and if you really believe that De Montice of Onus could somehow guide you through the gauntless

[00:30:15] that is the Wester conference and play good enough defense to get you there I don't see it I don't

[00:30:27] all right let's move on to some of the rumors that are out there um obviously there is one that is

[00:30:41] circling and circling I keep on updating my Twitter and my phone to see if it

[00:30:47] is actually gone down which it hasn't as of yet but ESPN Adrian Wardronowski reports that the

[00:30:56] Lakers and also I want to tell you that sham's have said some other words but this is what has

[00:31:04] started the Lakers have engaged in De Jonte Murray trade talks okay there's a couple things

[00:31:10] that I want to talk about here I have three little three little things with this a can the trade be

[00:31:18] expanded is it just De Jonte Murray D does Austin Reeves has does he have to be in this deal

[00:31:32] three the hawks are notoriously cheap is this another way for them to just get get salary

[00:31:42] off the books and take back contracts where they are ending at the end of the year is there a way

[00:31:51] for is there a way to do that this is the backdrop with this trade for the longest period time

[00:32:03] we universal it last trade deadline season the Hawks made a really kind of like weird trade

[00:32:10] and they ended up with like Cadee Bay on their team but it was something that kept them underneath the

[00:32:17] cap Atlanta the ownership there they're not going over the cap for a team they don't think

[00:32:28] can really really compete for something special so until that team proves that it is

[00:32:37] special enough to go over the cap they're not going to do it now I'm not saying that this

[00:32:45] pays the way for De Jonte Murray to come to the Lakers they're going to be a lot of suitors

[00:32:52] for this guy but if I'm the Lakers and I'm looking at at this record right here and knowing that

[00:33:02] I'm 11th right now as we stand in the playoffs hunt yeah all did it's all chunked up with joining

[00:33:15] like seven through seven through 12 right like four games like several everybody but at the end of

[00:33:28] the day you guys start making up these games because we're at the half-hawk waypoint you know it's

[00:33:34] not you got a you know you got two thirds of this season left you know it's not like oh we got plenty of

[00:33:42] time I'm gonna go ahead and guess it different try to get this deal done as quickly as possible

[00:33:54] to integrate these guys into this team what LeBron wants what AD wants how whoever is the pieces that

[00:34:03] are coming in want how they want the ball and how it's all going to work because it's a mad dash

[00:34:11] to the playoffs at this point and what you don't want to be is in the plan because there's going

[00:34:18] to be some good teams left out of just a regular playoffs and in a one game scenario whether you're

[00:34:26] at home or on the road these scenes are going to be good enough to knock off one another just

[00:34:34] I'm just letting you know all right the other things that I want to say about that is sham's

[00:34:43] reported today I guess over the weekend they took a little break and chance of the athletic

[00:34:52] recorded that they that the Lakers have re-engaged in Murray talk so they put it inside over the weekend

[00:35:03] probably because they can do anything can act on it anyway and now that we are at January 15

[00:35:09] we can go ahead and trade some people right so I think now you would be able to give your best offer

[00:35:17] and see where it stands and see if it's something that Atlanta wants to nibble on right now or

[00:35:25] if it's something that you can get done and hammer out quickly before the other things start

[00:35:31] to happen on the trademark it the nets are open to moving Dorian Finney Smith per Mike A.

[00:35:42] Scott O and other sources and it looks like they're evaluating at Dorian Finney Smith or the

[00:35:52] equivalent of two first round picks now I'm going to tell people right now I don't think that

[00:36:00] Dorian Finney Smith is going to get you two first round picks I think what's actually going to happen

[00:36:05] is you're going to get a real first rounder and then a fake first rounder you're going to get

[00:36:12] something that is like super protected like it's protected up to number 18 and then if it doesn't

[00:36:21] convey it'll turn into a second and then it'll turn into nothing so that's what I think is going

[00:36:29] to happen for Dorian Finney Smith he will be desirable maybe somebody will give you a real second

[00:36:36] for him and maybe if somebody said hey here's the first and two seconds maybe that gets it done

[00:36:43] maybe it's a plethora of seconds I don't know what is going to take but Dorian Finney Smith

[00:36:50] on any condemning team is very helpful so I like they're moving the pieces a little bit

[00:37:02] because they know they have too much wing depth it's too much a positional redundancy

[00:37:10] so now they're making the changes to say okay let's kind of put some pieces together that makes sense

[00:37:19] that's called siyacum percure's hands it looks like the raptors are parting ways with

[00:37:30] pascal siyacum now this is going to be one of the guys along with de jonte Murray that are going

[00:37:36] to be like a big names on the market now there's always a chance for the stealth superstar to say

[00:37:47] I want out of my situation and I want to go here I'm not even doubting that whatsoever

[00:37:54] not doubting it we see it every year I'm just saying right now these are the names that are

[00:38:02] the hot names on the market at this time so if you're kind of yawning going oh it's not

[00:38:10] you know this person that person this person just know all it takes is for them to feel

[00:38:17] disrespected one time and they'll be in the media talking about I need to get out of here

[00:38:23] and I want to go take my talent somewhere else so but pascal's on the market

[00:38:31] we tried to tell Nico that that was the case even though

[00:38:35] Nico thought he cracked the case with the McFlurry sponsorship situation going on with pascal siyacum

[00:38:44] you know he got a signature McFlurry up in Canada but it looks like pascal's gone gone anyway so

[00:38:55] there's so many teams that could use somebody like this we've heard the gold state warriors

[00:39:00] we've heard the delusional mavericks we've heard um okay see we've heard we've heard a lot of

[00:39:11] teams that could use pascal siyacum the one thing that you have to understand is that he's saying

[00:39:18] that he's not signing a contract until the oxies and that should bring down the value a little bit

[00:39:26] as far as what toano's actually asking for so you're not going to have to get absolutely murdered

[00:39:33] so this kind of puts in the contending teams and the reason why I say that is usually the contending

[00:39:38] teams if you look at it they don't have a bunch of draft picks they're kind of mortgaged

[00:39:43] if future already but they still have some some some picks in the outer realms you know

[00:39:50] that are available to them so if pascal is going to be moved I don't think it's going to be the

[00:39:57] super blogblasted deal as far as picks but naza that you're getting if you had four years left on

[00:40:06] the deal and you were getting him at this time period like in the middle of his prime that's when

[00:40:14] you would be like yes here are all the picks here you go I'll talk to you later and we we just

[00:40:21] drive from there but with him being at the end of the contract siyacum and then also making it

[00:40:28] very clear that I am not willing to negotiate until the end of the year leads me to believe that

[00:40:36] whatever they get back it might be more player driven than it is going to be contract driven

[00:40:43] and that was the move that they made if you look at the nix move it was more player driven

[00:40:49] not contract driven and then it decides on who are the best pieces that can go back to Toronto

[00:40:59] who has the pieces that that Toronto would find desirable do they need another shooter

[00:41:06] do they need another big wing don't know but I will tell you this is that it's going to be interesting

[00:41:16] to see what inevitably ends up happening to pascal siyacum and it actually depending on where he lands

[00:41:26] this could really change something in the playoffs so keep you locked here because we will have that

[00:41:32] affirmation for you and we will hopefully be able to create a really good picture of why this

[00:41:38] went down and what were all the particulars and what was this organization motivation and what

[00:41:46] the other organizations motivations where so I'm looking forward to that

[00:41:53] the spurs are also by Chris Haynes, City Osmond and Doug McDermott are on the block

[00:42:01] so if you're looking for a wing shooting who isn't there are a couple wings in San Antonio

[00:42:09] and now you got to deal with pop I don't know he'll be looking to like break the bank on this

[00:42:18] this might be kind of a mercy situation hey you guys could go affect winning in a positive way

[00:42:25] for another team that's either on the comma or really looking to make that a championship push so

[00:42:34] I don't know if it's going to be a tremendous haul but anything pretty much all you want is just

[00:42:42] more bites at the apple so getting on from these guys when you when you have such a

[00:42:50] a bad record right now they're 731 which is the worst and the last at this point so

[00:42:57] it's not like they need these guys to be back

[00:43:04] now this one was funny to me because I have questions there's now a report that everyone

[00:43:15] and except for staff in Golden State is available for trade now I'm going to ask the question

[00:43:26] everyone like everybody

[00:43:33] Clay is Clay available for trade

[00:43:37] is Drainmind available for trade remember we put out a couple clips and we had said to Drainmind

[00:43:49] you had a really really good friend in Steph Curry and you need to go ahead and get that

[00:43:54] patched up right somebody said that I was that I was keeping up for Steph way too hard but no

[00:44:05] now these antics and all this stuff that goes on this is beneath you as beneath the organization

[00:44:13] and guess who you embarrassed you you embarrassed Adam Silver that is the most substitute teacher

[00:44:23] vibe dude on the planet and you upset him right so now we're at this point where is it really so

[00:44:36] insane that Drainmind Green could be on the move I told you there's going to come a point in time

[00:44:45] and we asked does Steph have it in him to be LeBron and say hey yo I want to win this is not going

[00:44:54] to help me win go out and get me the pieces to help me win and it looks like we might have

[00:45:01] gotten our answer if all if we are to believe that everyone is available I don't buy it

[00:45:13] not totally sorry don't let it but hey that's the report that's what's out there now um

[00:45:21] do you do have some interesting pieces and you have some interesting contracts

[00:45:26] that you can move and put together depending if the contract is what you need to kind of get

[00:45:31] to deal done and then you have a desirable young piece now depending on the young piece

[00:45:38] and depending on the contract you can get something really really nice back if that's the way

[00:45:45] you want to go if you're going to state now I'm gonna tell you again we get into the archive pods

[00:45:53] I talked about this I want to say about three weeks ago about Golden State as Mike Dunley,

[00:46:00] Virginia and they have Kurt Blake of those are the guys who are pulling the trigger on what the

[00:46:08] next iteration of the Golden State Warriors is going to be now I am looking forward to seeing

[00:46:16] what these guys do I'm looking forward to it because if you're trying to keep Steph and you're

[00:46:27] also trying to keep him at this like championship level you have to look at this team and know

[00:46:34] that this team is nowhere near that situation you have to deal with that reality head on

[00:46:40] and go ahead and do them try to do the necessary changes you're going to need to make

[00:46:46] to make this viable to allow that dude to be super great in the playoffs

[00:46:52] now Orlando Magic I thought this was interesting because this popped up today

[00:47:01] Orlando has made available Mark Hill folks not surprising but also they are

[00:47:13] taking calls on window Carter Jr. which is the center who's been injured this year

[00:47:19] and the combination of GoGo Batata and MoVogner have really done a great job for

[00:47:30] Orlando Magic who are sitting in a pretty decent little spot they are eighth they kind of

[00:47:38] fallin back to Earth a little bit but they're 21 18 and there are a lot I mean this is

[00:47:44] they felt going into or going out of last year that after they had had the horrific start to last

[00:47:53] season and they finished it off at 500 they felt like they could make a playoffs run this year

[00:48:00] and I think they're still in that situation I think what you're seeing now is that

[00:48:08] they might want to go ahead and kind of firm up their playoffs what if they're moving on from

[00:48:14] Mark Hill folks in window Carter Jr. I'm not saying that it's going to be some big big deal

[00:48:23] but look for a real a decent life veteran coin guard coming in you know and maybe another like

[00:48:35] big wing to a big or something as well I think that's what they're looking for

[00:48:44] and somebody who can shoot the basketball please for the love of God could they allow

[00:48:50] Paulo been careful to work in the post and not have five dudes around him that would be great I

[00:48:56] would love that but Orlando has put it window Carter Jr. Ian Mark Hill holds on the board so we

[00:49:05] got a lot of guys who are available so here's the last couple things that I want to get to

[00:49:14] Detroit and Washington was it made a trade okay we're not going to spend a lot of time on this

[00:49:20] because this was a money move Marvin Bagley Jr. Isaiah livers go to Washington and Washington sends back

[00:49:28] Danilo Garne nari and Mike Muscala the way it basically works out is that it frees out more money

[00:49:37] for Detroit and their cap situation next year there'll be a 64 million dollars that they can spend

[00:49:45] we'll see how they spend it I didn't understand this move at all this team needs some

[00:49:55] and they kind of need to do what Toronto's doing a little bit I'm not saying you need to go all in but

[00:50:01] bring one more guy in to help out Kaye cunning hell and take some of the pressure off those young kids

[00:50:09] so they don't have to carry this offense and have this burden laid upon them just one more guy

[00:50:17] you know maybe you get it in the draft maybe you hit whatever it is in this draft which

[00:50:24] I'm going to tell you which we're going to talk about in a second it's hard it's hard to figure out who

[00:50:31] number one is and really to tell your truth it's not one of those drafts when you sit there and

[00:50:38] you go oh whether it's like these you know tears and you get one through fours is first year and

[00:50:46] there's so many tears it's it's ridiculous I haven't gone do all the guys but I'm gonna tell

[00:50:53] you right now um you're gonna have to do your homework to pick the right guy for your team this year

[00:51:03] because it's going to be specific you know not going to be like oh this dude is way more awesome than

[00:51:12] everybody else it's not like that all right um so that's basically trade I didn't you know Washington

[00:51:22] I understand big die couple second round picks out of this dude like hey man thanks appreciate it um

[00:51:32] but at the end of the day this news needle from no one it doesn't help either one of these teams

[00:51:40] like I said it's more of a salary dump or Detroit than it is anything else

[00:51:45] um muskala maybe can shoot down gallery has just plummeted because he's really I think he's done

[00:51:57] you know I know I know that sounds disrespectful but he's just not moving the way he was in last

[00:52:03] couple years and obviously he's he's had the knee surgeries and things of that nature so

[00:52:08] you know we might just being see in the last days of Danilo and Garlandari which um you know I wish

[00:52:14] you would have been able to go out in a little bit better fashion honestly so the thing that I want

[00:52:21] to kind of talk about and to finish up is that we talked a lot about Nico coming back Nico doing this

[00:52:29] Nico doing that but we do have something and it should be up on the website later on today

[00:52:36] Nico has his top 10 draft prospects he has strengths weaknesses he has all kinds of stuff

[00:52:47] it will be on the website at frontrunner pc.com so go to the website later on today that will be up there

[00:53:01] um really happy that we can get it up there I'm going to promote the heck out of it

[00:53:08] get Nico to promote the heck out of it you guys go ahead and check that out uh we're going

[00:53:14] to do this a little bit differently uh next year this year's kind of we're doing it on the fly

[00:53:19] what we're going to try to do is in the dog days of august since like early september is get you

[00:53:26] like the first 10 out and then by like the start of the season the second 10 out and then by

[00:53:34] november we'll have like a top 30 and then like you know your wants to watch in the second round or

[00:53:42] whatever the case may be and then we can kind of move around the dropboard that's kind of what

[00:53:47] we're looking at like next year but this year you know we're putting it all back together and you're

[00:53:54] getting your top 10 and that will be released a little bit later on today and I'm excited about it

[00:54:00] and uh man there are i'm i look at the list i look at the list and i'm going to tell you something

[00:54:08] the list that you see with Nico will be a little bit different than list that you see would like

[00:54:17] yes can and um uh like draft express and things of that nature i'm not mad at the list there's a

[00:54:26] couple people that personally i'm not a huge fan of you know whatever but his list is fearless

[00:54:33] he has points to whack it up i can't wait and you guys can discuss remember if you have questions

[00:54:41] about the list at front runner pc or at nico fr pc that'll do it for the show today again thank

[00:54:54] you guys my wife again with the ankle i thank you guys for your patience i thank you guys for

[00:55:02] your support it's been great we've um really cranked up the video situation so i look forward to

[00:55:09] bringing you a couple clips from this pod on to you too and um we will see you later on in the week

[00:55:18] you
