[00:00:00] It's Saturday and FRPC, whoops is back with you. Vince Carter has doing his podcast and we have had an NBA trade. Hell has frozen over the long anticipated trade from the Toronto Raptors, the Toronto Raptors and OG and Anobi, precious attua and Malachi Flynn to the

[00:00:49] next for RJ Barrett, a manual quickly and a 2024 second round pick which turns out to be detourous pick which right now looks like it's going to be the 31st overall pick if everything

[00:01:08] stays the same. So we're going to go over everything in this trade, we're going to go over all the reactions we're going to go over some of the things that might be spawned from this

[00:01:22] trade and everything like that. So we got a pretty deep show plus some other rumors that I had dug up yesterday, so let's get to the trade. Massage your weighted and then you

[00:01:35] weight it and anyway it's some more. Remember, a couple of seasons ago, OG and Anobi, it was three first round picks, right? But with running out of time on what to do with Anobi,

[00:01:56] I will say in light of the clock ticking on an inspiring contract so Siocom and Gary Trent Jr. It was really just time to go ahead and pull the trigger. So the thing that I actually

[00:02:14] like about the trade is this, is that people also want to talk about rebuild. We'll talk about that in a second. Receiving Barrett and quickly from the New York Nix and surrounding Scotty Guarons with some shooting and I'm talking about quickly, not Barrett we know about the

[00:02:34] shooting roles with Barrett but Barrett is a capable, like second side initiative a little bit you know, he's more of an ancillary piece but I'm very excited to me personally and quite quickly in this deal because we're going to talk about his numbers in a second. We're

[00:02:56] going to get into that but he is capable on goal or off ball. He also just gives them another guy who when the clock is getting close to the end, give him a ball and see what he can do with it.

[00:03:15] Also he's going to get more minutes this way now you can look at it the other way. You were feasting on back-up point guards and you were putting up six men of the year numbers

[00:03:30] in New York. You can look at it both ways but right now we're looking at it like hey listen we got some shooting around Scotty Barnes and Classgarcy Aquam and they need it

[00:03:43] because I'm going to tell you right now Gary Chan at Junior on his own and Grady Dick their first round pick out of Kansas who has not shot it well yet. They needed some sort of upgrade and injection of long-range shooting on this team.

[00:04:03] I'm going to get into something my guy Nico said to shot out to our guy he had to my thoughts on on the raptors. The first thing he said was that he finally will probably rate himself of Scotty Barnes commercials because I guess up in Canada they

[00:04:25] run nothing but Scotty Barnes commercials so he might get a respite now with RJ Barrett up there. A actual Canadian so let's get into this trade a little bit more for the raptors quickly is the dual-lutus trade another creator but a shooter that's the key point.

[00:04:46] Quickly excels and playing off ball here's the thing. 71.9% of his three point shots are assisted. Okay so that just lets you know that he can be a catch and shoot guy. Right now quickly is having career highs and effective field goal percentage which is 54.9,

[00:05:15] free throw percentage which is 87.2 and his true shooting percentage is now 59.8. Adding a movement shooter who is not afraid of the moment is critical to what Toronto is doing because here's the thing. There were reports earlier I want to say earlier this week in

[00:05:38] regards to we do not want to rebuild actually I think I have those comments somewhere but there was just a point in time where they just said they didn't want to rebuild so this trade is kind of allowing them to get younger and they're getting instead of sitting

[00:06:03] there in banking on talent that is coming down the line two three years from now what trade with drapics and things of that nature they're getting guys that can help them now. The raptors

[00:06:18] can move Barrett to either the three or the other two however they want to play it remember that Gary Trent Jr is still there okay let's get into this right now. There's not going to be a rebuild it's going to be a reimagining. I personally think that

[00:06:39] Pascal Siocca is going to be traded. Nico believes that this is the reimagined what you see with this trade is what you get and this is it. I am in the opposite corner I believe that if you can turn 28 almost 30 or 28 almost 29 year old Pascal Siocca into a 24

[00:07:08] 22 year old guy with length or whatever case it may be that might be something to really sink your teeth into and we'll get into maybe a couple of things that they could actually do

[00:07:26] with that as far as that's going to look down the road. If you look at the line up for Toronto and it will get to the next in a second. If you have Pascal Siocca, Gary Trent Jr, Scotty Barnes

[00:07:42] and quickly and proto on the lineup. Scotty's been shooting it very well. You act quickly and Trent has turned it around lately so now you have to re-guise on the court so you

[00:07:56] open up lanes for Pascal. This might help to trade value situation right there and then it just makes your offense a little more free flowing and makes it easier on the eyes it's hard to watch

[00:08:13] a Toronto Raptor game before this trade but I think also you're going to be injected with some just some juice because a manual quickly is going to get shot up. I think the pairing of Scotty Barnes

[00:08:27] and quickly I would say it would be like a 99 cent version of Jerry Mawn and Steph okay we're going to pump the brakes on you know it's not it's not like that but it can be effective

[00:08:44] and I think when you get guys especially like quickly who's been just starving for opportunity he's been coming off the bench he's somehow he's not a tibs guy. I don't mean that like in a way of

[00:09:01] he diminishing returns I'm just saying that tibs has a certain type of type of player and you know manual quickly size what have you there are some limitations with him in the eyes of towntivative but I think quickly is a decent defense guard he's actually willing

[00:09:25] he's quick enough so lateral quickness is not going to be an issue and then it's just more what else is he going to provide is the opportunity and the more volumes of shots will the

[00:09:38] efficiency stay exactly the same or tick up or if it does stay the same you mean you got a really good player if it ticks up you might be I wouldn't say I wouldn't say all the ways there but I would say

[00:09:56] you would be in the vapor trail of like a tyreus maxi so that's what you're looking at with quickly going to Toronto now I told you I had some numbers for you so let's get into it

[00:10:13] quickly is on off okay his on off is rating is a plus 8.5 went off the court his their rating was a negative 3.7 so he has an offensive rating of 12.2 that's a impactful player no matter where he is

[00:10:32] and listen stats can tell lies all day long but sometimes when you look at the game and if you see when quickly comes into the game he does provide then with some electricity I say with the next

[00:10:47] but I think he'll also provide this with the Toronto Raptors as well I just want to give you that just as a just a low quick little kind of temperature checking to what quickly is and what he actually

[00:10:59] could because make note must take about it this trade is a pruvic trade for both teams because we're going to get into the NNLB thing let's get into the quickly they in real quick

[00:11:12] Jim and Bronton was the starting part guard or is the starting part guard other New York mix he is excellent this dude is averaging like 27 points again quickly is also a small guard unfortunately you can't play those guys together very much because you're just going to get

[00:11:30] absolutely eaten up on the defensive side of the ball this was the only way it was going to make sense he was needed to go to his another team and also in a sense he probably ended up in a really

[00:11:46] good situation because quickly is not a great facilitator if you said hey I want you to be the point guarder of the team but as a secondary facilitator he can do that he can definitely close out

[00:12:03] or he can definitely attack closeouts he can definitely get his own shot he can hit the open man just basic stuff let's got he barns with the point guard in this allows more Scotty barns

[00:12:18] playing the ability because now we get to the next what did the next get in this deal okay somehow the next quickly was frustrating to like I said it's more of the body type and more

[00:12:38] of just his limitations it had nothing to do with the player the heart whatever i think Toronto will be able to use them correctly and you'll get more out of it but it's hard to argue the production

[00:12:51] in the instant juice that quickly injected when given the the plant time and and I know we the next get a functional tips clear and I'll talk to you about that in a second long arms

[00:13:07] big body defender the thing that Barry couldn't do he was just slow foot he was a blowby guy maybe now on the raptors because you do have some long wings and also you know Gary Shant Jr is

[00:13:24] not a he's not in that negative you know he's probably just a you know middle of the world guy you can hide Barry to a little bit more on that team plus also yococardos it really good

[00:13:37] deterrent at the room so this actually might help Gary a lot but with an inobi you get a long on guy he's going to provide also a willingness to shoot open threes Barry he pumped up his

[00:13:54] volume attempts of three this year to about five here's the thing with OGM no he issued six of them per game okay he also is a better shooter and we'll get into those numbers in one second

[00:14:16] this also relieves the bottleneck that you have between grimes heart and deep in chinsa they were griping early in the year about time and touches and you know it's hard again to

[00:14:30] rhythm you don't get the ball maybe now this opens up more minutes and opportunities for those guys this actually also might reimagine what deep in chinsa is and he just becomes the back of point guard okay um extension top we are well it's obviously he runs the nicks

[00:14:53] San Halwell is OGM an obs agent if you know the nicks you know they're in bed with uh CAA it's not a long c-hull on it it's not a secret in any way form or fashion but it's one of those things

[00:15:19] that uh we are it's just funny but this is the kind of trade that you get to make and also you know the when you get the agents involved maybe this is also the situation where you get

[00:15:37] where you get one of my trying to say um the deal kind of it gets it gets made a little easier you know also here's the other thing OGM no before like the last year is gonna talking about 40 million dollars

[00:15:56] annually um per source her dead they have kind of backed off that number so I think there's going to be something done because you don't make this trade for an obe if you don't think he's going to be part of your

[00:16:11] future so expect that extension with an obe to be coming along if not very shortly definitely in the off season I don't know how they want to deal with that um let's see oh and an obe shoot like

[00:16:31] 30 38 percent from three you know RJ Barrett is a career like 33 percent three corner from three he's also a like a 42 percent shooter from the field where you get an oginanovic he's who's close to 50 percent you are getting a quintessential 3ND guy

[00:16:52] starring his role now one other thing I will say well ananovi he complained a lot in Toronto about um being the like an offensive of offensive initiator he wanted to do it they didn't get him the

[00:17:13] opportunity to do it and now here we are in a situation I don't think he's going to get necessarily more opportunity to do it there but we'll see I think with Jaylee Branson

[00:17:28] and Julius Randolph he'll just have to fall into a roll and we'll just see about it now pressure is a jeweler in the deal I will tell you right now a lot of people will see here and go oh whoa it's going

[00:17:42] and nine times I'm 10 it is but keeping mine mr Robinson had that injury he's going to be out questions a jeweler here's one thing about questions a jeweler he decides the next could use that

[00:18:00] behind hardened stone who is a career back up but he can also play well in a starting role for the next but Jericho Sims is too small and zombie tige gets them is just not something that you want to

[00:18:15] parade out there on a consistent basis so questions the jeweler being six nine and a house six 10 athletic can provide some room protection that's why he was in the deal and you know tips

[00:18:32] he doesn't want to play small ball to save his life he wants to play with a big he wants to play with some some force of might and he feels the only way to do that is when you got bigs so

[00:18:52] of course precious attua was going to be in this deal okay a mouti flint our kise is congratulations man you're new your knick you get to wear the uniform you get to go out new York City I don't know

[00:19:05] how much playing time you're going to get but actually he didn't do anything in Toronto he came out of San Diego state he's kind of like your old school coin guard get you initiated in the offense

[00:19:20] but in today's game you got to provide some offense and so far melancholy flint has not been able to create his own shop and that's going to be always a problem so my man gets to wear the knick

[00:19:34] uniform orange and blue tins every you know orange and blue skies tins up in the air everywhere but I don't know how much you go actually play so that's the trait here's the thing

[00:19:50] who won the trait Toronto or New York hit me up on x formerly known as twitter at front runner pc or also hit up my guy niko at niko fr pc

[00:20:11] we have some other things that we need to get to because this is the last episode of the 2023 so I had a whole other thing planned before the trait went down but

[00:20:23] we're going to get to that now I am not going to do the news and notes I'm going to get into the actual things that I was going to do for you guys and I was having the conversation and

[00:20:40] I was talking about like the the best worky seasons of all of all time now remember I'm old right I'm 50 so I've seen like magic and I saw birds rookie seasons that's how old I am right

[00:20:58] you might think that was in black and white it wasn't it was actually in color so what I thought to do and I don't want to bore people so I didn't go far back I just went at last 20 years so basically since 2000 you know so 23 24 years whatever

[00:21:16] and I wanted to talk about some of the rookie seasons that have stood out now if I missed some or there's like some omissions or whatever you know let me know hit me up on x hit

[00:21:29] me up on formerly known as twitter at front runner pc also you can get at me on um in the comments on the youtube channel because I'm sure there's going to be breakout videos of

[00:21:45] all of these things but we will try and build the community the only way to build the community is you tell a partner and then your partner tells a partner so we need to get on that so

[00:21:58] I'm looking at some of the best rookie years so we're going to talk about some of the best rookie seasons in last since the 2000 season the reason why I was doing this is because I was

[00:22:14] having a conversation about who had some of the best rookie years and you know how impactful was it and things that nature and we were going back and forth and it just got me thinking about

[00:22:28] you know just some of the great rookie years but there is a reason for this and we're going to get into it at the end but I just want to highlight some guys and I want to talk about it a

[00:22:41] little bit and then we're going to get to why I thought of this so look at Dodgers rookie season well the Dallas Maverick see average 21.2 points a game 7.8 rebounds a game 6 assists and 1.1

[00:23:02] stills a game his efficiency in Lucas Rookie season was a little rough but you saw the aggression and you saw the filistness on the moment with luminaries like Dirk and the Vizky still on the team

[00:23:21] and established vets like Tim Hutterway Jr. Harrison Barnes, DeAndrey Jordan and Wesley Matthews Jr you just saw a guy who's like listen I'm just going to let you know right now going forward

[00:23:40] on the man's star traction I'm going to know one player we're going to have to go ahead and let that be known right now he definitely established that in his rookie season he went on to win

[00:23:52] a rookie of the year he was also on the all NBA rookie team he shot 32.7% from 3.00 land he had a effective field goal percentage of just 49.7 but he did shoot 6.7 free throw attempts

[00:24:15] the game so that just let you know that the efficiency wasn't there but he definitely announced his presence and he did that on a 33 and 49 you know Maverick's team that was led by Dirk Novinsky

[00:24:34] which was on his last leg you know he was going out and things of that nature so what he put up with awesome work a year which is great you know Blake Griffin saying thing I'm looking at

[00:24:47] Brett Blake's year and Blake now keep in mind excuse me let me take a simple sort of here you know that little cool yeah all right so Blake remember he was injured his first year

[00:25:08] and then he just took off his second year 22.2 and a half points again 12.1 reviles again hit 3.8 assists he had a bunch of amazing dugs that ended up on ESPN Sports Center and remember this is pretty Chris Call so this was the bearing Davis era of the clippers

[00:25:43] so he was amazing it was his second season so you have a year training and stuff like that but he did not play any games his work a year and came in like gangbusters so Blake had a great start

[00:25:58] call Anthony Towns I want to give a shout out to Carl Anthony Towns his work a year was it was truly amazing he average 18.3 points again 10 and a half reviles two assists and 1.7 blocks decay this this is the first sight of what I thought was like the evolution

[00:26:21] NBA basketball you know catch-ow perimeter skill in competency with the basketball in the sand and you know he was going stroke it from three and he did that consistently consistently enough

[00:26:36] where hey we're gonna allow you to do this going forward and now as he says okay this is a quote from Carl Anthony tells I am the best big man shooting a lot of I'm the best big man shoot a

[00:26:53] lot of that's what that's quote from cat we'll see all right now keep in mind Minnesota 29 and 53 his working year all right so so far we haven't had a bunch of like real exciting people

[00:27:15] in the sense of you know winning records and things of that nature Chris Paul the legend Chris Paul starts him his work a year okay the wake force part product put up 16.1 points game 7.86 he average 5.1 rebounds now keep in mind Chris Paul 6 feet tall he also average 2.2

[00:27:43] steals again there was no other NBA draft pick in the 2000s who put up 15 points by rebounds five assists and two steals or two blocks in a season nobody has done it

[00:27:58] not sure well shot wasn't in it not LeBron not any of these dudes have put up those numbers as again okay um Paul struggled with his efficiency no doubt but truly his stats were less the

[00:28:23] the spotlight but his intangibles were the spotlight because when he came into the league he took at the time the hornets and they won 20 more games his worky season okay so they went from

[00:28:45] 18 and 64 to 38 and 44 in his worky season now we get to daughter of him Mitchell now don't have been Mitchell did not win worky the year remember that was been Simmons and the

[00:29:01] gripe was been Simmons had also missed his worky year with the injury but one worky of the year because he had never played so Mitchell's numbers he actually was on a playoff team that's the first

[00:29:18] of form looks thing but 20 20 and a half points again 3.7 assists again 1 and a half steals he shot 34% from behind the 3. art on 7 attempts here's the thing it's league is less than league

[00:29:37] average at the point but the willingness to shoot it we all ate when you were star the willingness to shoot is what we're talking about also remember this is the he came right in right after the

[00:29:54] Gordon Hayward situation because Gordon left for Boston so he basically kept it going they went from a 51 win team to a 48 win team so nothing really changed with them they just kept it moving

[00:30:08] and donovan Mitchell was the offensive smart club that they needed to do that with now this gets us to John Moran the John Moran came to Memphis on bunch of swag I wanted to explosive plays and my

[00:30:23] man did this point he used the second overall pick right behind Zion 17.8 points again 7.3 assists again 3.9 regal is a game and he also averaged the steel they went 34 and 39 not here that was the

[00:30:42] bubble year right but he's he brought to them remember before John it was grit and grind it was slow pace so the year before John Memphis Grizzlies were 30 of in pace out of 30 teams

[00:31:08] when joggers there they're six in pace so what a difference one guy can make right daily a little showed out he showed out for Oakland California he showed out for we were state he showed out for Modellos commercials he just showed out okay um

[00:31:34] and he showed out for RIP City 19 points a game six and a half assists again and a still in three rerounds a game he shot 36.8% from three that year and their record with 33 and 49

[00:31:54] but he definitely was letting people know that damn time was going to be on the map now we get to LeBron and LeBron's rookie year um I want to kind of talk about it a little bit

[00:32:10] and he's not really the focus of this whole situation will get to that guy in a second but LeBron's rookie year I want to talk about what he actually went through because I think uh

[00:32:22] I don't know a lot of people know um because especially if you grew up like in the YouTube generation and you know you to talk and all that sort of thing oh when LeBron came into

[00:32:36] league as well document it he was considered to tell him one King James, all these things these were monitors that he went by these are things that were given to him or whatever occasionally beat

[00:32:52] but uh coach Paul Silas long time coach of a lot of teams but he also coach with Ron James and his work a year R P to our guy Paul Silas and shot out to Steven Silas his son

[00:33:08] for the passing of his death he tells the story to Jackie and what Molly who was at ESPN of the time and also like in the hall of fame the NBA Hall of Fame for writers as well so

[00:33:21] um but he tells the story about the players in the team they were just so salty when LeBron came aboard and they kept on trying to freeze him out that year even still LeBron after 21.66 5.5 regmas 1.6 steals a game he drugged that team to 35 wins

[00:33:49] Paul Silas said that team had no business winning 35 games with the demeanor of which certain vets on that team most notably Eric Snow also Carlos Bozer who is now the son is now the father

[00:34:12] of the other Bozer girls who are killing it and about to be like a I think one of them is definitely a lottery pick in the 2025 NBA draft got I seen his whole career now I'm gonna see a sense

[00:34:29] freaky um so keeping my like it wasn't all pieces in creating for LeBron James when he walked into the lead because his vets were sweat no about just being great. Dwayne Wade and Melo

[00:34:46] we'll just put them together because they came in the same class Dwayne Wade 16 points again four regalms four and a half assists one point four steals a game Carmella Anthony hours 21 points

[00:35:01] games six rebounds two point eight assists and one point two steals a game so those are some of the memorable rookie campaigns the reason why I bring this up is that

[00:35:19] chat homeboring is having a astounding rookie year and I just want to kind of break it down because I got some notes in whatever case you'd be but here's the basic premise of it the Oklahoma

[00:35:36] City Thunder are 26 okay this is one of the best teams in the NBA record wise right now shade Gil just Alexander is there is their star he is easily top 10 and argue top five he's playing like an MVP caliber player every single gang he's cooking other MVP candidates

[00:36:10] but our guy chat after taking the year off to deal with a foot injury shed has seemingly settled in as a core player and he seems to be second and important when it comes

[00:36:26] to okay see let's talk about some of the numbers shall we 17 and half points again 7.8 rebounds again 2.25 assists again in 2.7 blocks again which is third in the NBA now his three four percentage is 84.1% his effective field goal percentage is 59.9 is 3. shooting percentage

[00:37:08] is 37.2 all four attempts in his true shooting percentage is 64.2 now listen these numbers aren't here did this be like oh well you know I'm just gonna throw a bunch of numbers at your second

[00:37:29] sales smart again to a point we're not done with the numbers yet his defensive class minus his defensive box plus minus is 2.1 which is 10th overall in the league his defensive rating is one of their defensive rating is 107.8 his offensive rating is 1.1 is 123

[00:37:58] his class minus part 100 possessions is on court it's plus 9.2 awkward plus 3.2 um now here's the other thing their defensive rating last year was 114.2 this year with chat on the court is 112.3 doesn't sound like a lot but hold on for a second last year they were 14th

[00:38:32] in the NBA and defensive rating this year and remember what did I say the record was 29 29 I think I said 26 sorry about that so that 112.3 has them 6 in the NBA their net rating last year was 1 it was a plus 1.1 which is 14th in the NBA

[00:39:02] their net rating right now is 7.6 which is 3rd in the NBA so keep in mind some of the things that we talk about within a championship we talk about Boston we talk about Philly we talk about Milwaukee we talk about Kuelos Denver obviously you know Minnesota

[00:39:34] you know we throw in the we throw in the Phoenix's of the world and whatever and I don't throw in Phoenix you can't right now until we see what they're like but these numbers show that this team can compete for a championship now I don't know if they're

[00:39:54] in have any appetite to make a trade or anything like that if they could beef up their front court and get a guy with some size not just actual height but some strength to them to help

[00:40:09] chat on that back line that would be helpful um it may be like another wing vet but also we help so helpful just because of the fact that we know that right now they have chat they have SGA and they have Jalen Williams from Santa Clara Jda

[00:40:32] and you can say that they have their three I'm not saying that but I'm just saying as young as it is and as talented as it is I'm gonna go ahead and make that statement they

[00:40:44] have their three it's not it's not that they need to bring in this high quality you know I got to bring in you know top five player and elite you got one of those and looks like you have

[00:41:00] a top 30 player and chat and then you might have a top 50 player in Jalen Williams so it's not necessarily a big splash but I'm talking back to the NNO we do now you saw what

[00:41:18] he went for and remember I think Messiah wanted more players than picks but you probably could have got a premium pick from okay see and they had a couple dudes but I think what Toronto was

[00:41:35] actually looking for was a established guy's people with done it in the NBA and done it with you know regular consistency and things of that nature so I don't blame okay see for not pulling

[00:41:51] triggered but I wonder if we'll look back at the end of the year and go huh I wonder if they should have made that and then they'll be trade because here's the thing we can talk about windows

[00:42:05] all we want but championship windows coming go and you might think that okay see has this long gate it won't run way to go ahead and make a bunch of elite playoff runs you know the way this

[00:42:26] team is set up I mean I can see you saying to yourself hey they should do this with like the next six years like this year should be like the coming out party you know we get to the playhouse with you

[00:42:38] know we scare a couple people whatever but from that point on you're thinking like okay conference finals maybe NBA finals you know a couple years later it's like we need a chip but you think

[00:42:56] you have a long long run way to get it done and I'm gonna tell you those run ways because of player movement and because of graphics that one way goes away like that so not saying that I think

[00:43:15] them not making this move was a bad choice I'm just saying that let's kind of remember this date right the same authority of five o'clock Pacific Standard Time that OGM and nobody is now a

[00:43:31] Nick and I wonder if somebody like that would be helpful for okay see but I wanted to shout out chat because the stroke is good I believe he is the workier the year I'm not afraid to say it

[00:43:49] with the array of spin moves and slick decisive drives he has he's he's competent with the basketball he can attack close out again he shoots it at a respectable level at the three point

[00:44:03] line you have to guard on you have to respect it and he is such a instinctive defense of player he just provides such a different tone for that okay see team that they didn't have last year

[00:44:18] and you can see the difference between last year and this year and the numbers bar it out and that's why I gave them to you all right let's get to the news and notes and then we'll get

[00:44:30] up out of here because there's things that I need to watch on TV all right Bradley Bill is back in Phoenix he only scored like six points but he's back listen at this point a healthy body at this

[00:44:47] point just healthiness at this point is good so he's played in C's games this year and remember I put out a clip but it was also part of a podcast that I had put AD and Bill

[00:45:08] and kind of made the analogy if you were to date a IG model basically you know though back and get the archive pods and check those out you can get on their available on Apple Spotify

[00:45:24] Amazon music or wherever you enjoy your podcast you know saying but with Bill right now let's just like let's get chemistry with D book and Kevin Durant I don't care if he scored six points

[00:45:45] I don't scare me he scored 20 points I don't care what he scored they just need healthy available bodies on that team the emergence of commingah in Brandon Prasinski and going state have moved wagons to maybe possibly available and maybe he can be hot in the trade so Andrew

[00:46:17] Andrew wagons formerly of the Minnesota Timber Wars came over in the deal that sent Dan's low to Minnesota and Andrew to go and state want to championship he was probably the second most important player on that team in regards to his output and his production

[00:46:40] because of just maybe a little bit of last year lingering and the slow start he got off to and commingah's emergence he might be on the trade block hmm Toronto made a trade just recently could they bring in the second Canadian I don't know just

[00:47:07] thought oh I have a trade for this and here's the thing I wrote this yesterday so I did not know that and the nobys was going to get traded today so I was talking about a wagons movie

[00:47:26] and Santo straight for Ananovi and Bouché so then the guns day warriors could have more size but you can take Ananovi out and put Siocom in this deal easy he knows it so

[00:47:43] and I did with some picks that went along with it but Ananovi's already traded I wonder what Golden State's next move will be honestly at this point I'll get to that second okay it

[00:48:02] looks like the Lakers are leaning more less in the direction of Levine now I told you on this podcast in last two or three weeks I did not want Zac Levine on the team and then also

[00:48:18] I didn't know the Lakers really had to appetite for Zac Levine and I think there have been some rumors that they've been poking around Dorian Finney Smith and Royce O'Neill

[00:48:34] of the nets so keep a lookout for that I don't know what else there is to say about the due story distance I'm the 28 losses in a row they're 229 we went over the Eastern Conference quarter

[00:48:51] recap go check your archive pods it was the hundredth episode as well it was excellent we talked about Detroit a lot there but the reason why I want to bring this up because now every time

[00:49:05] their lose it's a record you know they're just breaking their own record at this point the long standing record of 26 losses they blew right past that their plan tonight will see how that

[00:49:17] plans out so you get this pod tomorrow you know if they are at 29 losses in a row or they stopped the lose history but I do know this with the OGN and they'll be traded guess what this is

[00:49:33] a chance for a Detroit to win so shots out to the pisses and good luck guys but other reason why I wanted to bring this up is because Dwight Howard formerly of the Lakers Houston

[00:49:47] or Lado Magic you know slam dunk cancun in Dwight Howard also getting news or some other stuff that we not gonna get to on this program but yeah look that up whenever you get the chance you

[00:50:00] know what I'm saying but Dwight Howard was trolling K. Cunningham talking well you know it's you know it's cool over here in Thailand and you know you losing all these games hey well two things one you tried to come back to the NBA this year you wanted to

[00:50:21] work out and play for Golden State this year you was making one money in Taiwan wanted to be here in the NBA lifestyle so my man's I'm gonna need you to pump your brakes

[00:50:36] on trolling somebody who is actually in the NBA all right we got a couple more things to get too and then I'm gonna get up out of here but uh I want to thank you guys again for you know download

[00:50:49] the podcast man it's so great we didn't like people from Belgium are like downloading podcasts it's amazing so shout out to you guys and I want to wish you guys a happy new year

[00:51:03] and a prosperous 24th and here are the last couple things that I want to get to what the last piece of information um like news and notes did you all have to see the quote by

[00:51:19] Scoot Henderson okay first of all I am a big Scoot Henderson supporter the rookie who was the third overall pick in the NBA draft last off season he said this I'm still trying to get work you the year that's still open the air I think um okay

[00:51:48] I love Scoot's passion I love Scoot's aggressiveness I love how highly he thinks of him so I really do like that I don't think he really has a chance to work in the year but he's playing better

[00:52:03] and I'm glad that he's playing better and he's feeling a lot better about himself I knew it was going to take some time because he he isn't a really good shooter I know it will come because he

[00:52:16] just works so hard and I think Portland's a team that I I really like their young pieces I do I really like shade and sharp and I really like Scoot Henderson shots out to Joe Crohn in

[00:52:31] and Mike Schmitts who are in that building um building that young team now we have something to leave you off with all right we're coming up on the new years we're coming up on the time where people

[00:52:47] start reflecting we're coming up on a time where you know you kind of start prioritizing things so we gave you the three wishes for the NBA in the archive pods right but down we go have some

[00:53:05] new year hopes we just have some hopes for new year um the first one it's not really a hope but it is a hope I take that back I'm just gonna say right now this is an FRPC exclusive

[00:53:24] I was wrong in regards to the point guard situation in San Antonio when the year started I thought it was a good idea let's give Wimbie a bunch of runaway so he can just you know develop his skills

[00:53:41] and see what works and doesn't work in the NBA now that we're well 30 games into it can we get this man a point guard that's my question I just you know can we we seeing the

[00:53:54] experiment the experiment doesn't work can we just get him a point guard the other hole don't let the V where a Chicago Bulls uniform again I think the way they've been playing

[00:54:19] the style of play the energy the juice that Kobe White has provided I think that you cut your losses and maybe you look at Toronto and see them and be inspired and see what you can do

[00:54:37] and try to get exactly the other location and get a couple pieces back for them um I like to give Detroit Christians a time machine now I know that's not a hope because we don't have time machines as of yet unless area 51 there's a time machine

[00:55:03] and we do have aliens among us and we somehow reverse engineered some stuff I don't know but if we had a time machine we might have made some trades for some shooters for the Detroit Christians in the Aussies and so they wouldn't have lost all these games so

[00:55:26] trade for some shooting trade Troy we were trade for some shooting help Kate out our fourth hope can we get some help for still carry the young kids are great a lot of the energy they bring but Zinski has been really good

[00:55:53] commingah has really turned it on been more aggressive and trace Jackson Davis has been really good in the world that he's played but can we get Steph Curry another legitimate threat so he's not being constantly harassed by 23 individuals on a basketball court

[00:56:19] my next hope is that usually usually a lot of people decide that they are going to become healthier in the new year usually they started on January 1st I'm also hoping in encouraging this for Zia Williamson again this is more habits

[00:56:49] you know no fact shame in here I am a fluffy guy myself sexy as all get out fluffy right but I'm also not making $47 million and getting paid by NBA team to stay at a certain

[00:57:06] way so there's that I can eat a small barbecue uh ruffle lays or ruffles with the ridges no not ruffles as lays with the ridges you know saying a little wavy lays barbecue potentials they're great um I highly recommend those but I'm eating less of those

[00:57:35] I've been eating less of those I've been losing some packages you know I hope y'all see it in the face and everything you know I hope y'all getting this but our guy's iron needs to go ahead

[00:57:47] and get serious about his career so I hope with 2024 on horizon Zia looks around sees that his team is pretty good and you know the the West is open there's a lot of young

[00:58:01] contenders out there and I like the pelicans to be part of that oh this is what I want for the paces now what I really want is defense but what I really want is a force field

[00:58:23] and some sharks with laser beams attached to their head because the paces are awful at defense we all know it they need to get some defense there needs to be some resistance just a little bit

[00:58:40] you can't score 140 every single game and win there's gonna be some times where other defenses are going to stop you and you're going to get to 118 22 but yet they're gonna be at 135 because you can't play any defense whatsoever all right so that is my hope for the

[00:59:11] paces is to get some defense I know Rick Carlisle is probably losing his mind because of all the points that the paces are giving up but the Indiana paces play an exciting style brand

[00:59:25] of basketball we love it we love Tyre's how it's Burton we just need some defense when it comes to that and then I think with that being said my hope for all of you is that you guys enjoyed the podcast

[00:59:42] one it's been a laborer love this year and we can't wait to see you in the new year and we'll be back and amen have a great new year's e to tomorrow kiss your loved one that you're

[00:59:58] going to be with but stay safe out there and be easy and we out see you in 2024
