[00:00:14] Sunday evening, you know what time it is. Front Runner Podcast Collective is back on the air. It is NBA Free Agency Frenzy Day 2

[00:00:26] and we are here to give you all of the big news that has happened today. Give you a couple of observations and what's left. Right. And before we do all that, we're going to talk about the socials.

[00:00:42] X Twitter at Front Runner PC. The producers are Raya, underscore, FUNCH, FRPC. They are looking for, I think there's going to be a tweet put out today or tomorrow in regards to what you guys want to see on the podcast or here on the podcast,

[00:01:06] there regards to what we need to talk about during the summer, get into the teams, do grades over the off season. You can kind of help us produce the show. So keep that in mind and hit this up on Twitter at Front Runner PC and also at Raya underscore, FUNCH, FRPC.

[00:01:36] We need to talk about the YouTube. YouTube, new video up on the Philadelphia 76th draft. This is kind of a precursor to all of what has gone on in the last couple days as well. I highly recommend it. There will be more coming obviously with free agency coming, you know, going on. It is hard to just be slacking up videos here and there.

[00:02:03] But, you know, we did a live reaction to the Paul George trade or the Paul George signing of in Philadelphia last night that was cool. And then you guys need to subscribe like comment. I answered a comment today somebody was asking about the McCain pick.

[00:02:27] I was kind of going like, really. And then we were also talking about Paul George and you're like, well, what do you think? And I was like, for what you getting give up anything. You just basically paid money. And you got a guy who was clearly a two into a three.

[00:02:49] So those are the type of interactions that we try to have on the YouTube channel. So go to Front Runner podcast, collect and get yourself subscribed. And the more you guys subscribe, the more things that we can kind of put forth for you guys. So we are trying to ever get all kinds of new things going on now the last thing.

[00:03:13] We are in a new month. So we have a new challenge. We want to meet better than we were last month. That's what every podcast is striding poor right. But we're also talking about downloads, ladies and gentlemen, record downloads for June. I would love to do it again. So be a friend, tell a friend about the podcast.

[00:03:39] Make sure to download, make sure to follow. Also hit us with five star ratings and any questions you have about the podcast or anything you like to see on the podcast. I will tell you as we get closer and closer to August.

[00:03:57] The shows are going to slow down necessarily, but they might start to change. And I think I talked about this in the last podcast, but I want to bring it up again.

[00:04:08] I want to be a little more panoramic in our view of sports and I want to include football. We will be doing some football. We have not decided on which day it will be.

[00:04:23] But I will tell you that we will still dedicate two to two and a half days of podcast on basketball. That is my word. That is what we're going to do, but when the Aussies in this year, you know, it might even be a situation where we might keep three days of basketball and have a fourth day of football.

[00:04:50] I don't know, but we're trying to get that going as well. But we need you to tell everybody you know we need you to tell your friends, we need to tell your family members, your online crushes, your tender dates, you know, all that good stuff whatever.

[00:05:14] I'm a man of the people. I know about Twitter or Tinder. I know about it, you know, I don't do it, but I know about it. All right.

[00:05:22] With all that being said, we had a great month of June. Let's have a kick ass month of July and let's get into what has happened in day two of the NBA free agent, frenzy.

[00:05:34] We're going to start in Boston. There's a lot of moves coming out of Boston today. And I think it's the best way to start because they're the champs as much as it hurts for me to say that as a wake-up hand.

[00:05:47] I will get Boston there. Do two three pieces of real huge information one. Let's start here. The weight growth crack, the governor of the Boston Celtics has said that he is talked over with his group.

[00:06:08] And he is looking to sell the Celtics. He did say that this is a kind of a step by step plan. He believes that he will continue to be the governor until 2028. This is kind of like the plan and the chart, the plot they've charted.

[00:06:28] We'll go back. We talked about him when the Celtics won the championship. And I think it's worth reiterating. The way he was a fan. Great business man. Obviously earned his money in tech.

[00:06:48] But the way he was a fan of the Boston Celtics and when he owned the Boston Celtics, he spent a lot of money. He cared about the team.

[00:07:00] He wanted them to win some of the losses were most so crushing things as he has ever had to deal with in his life.

[00:07:11] And to see somebody that passionate, to see that person do everything in his power to maximize the winning windows that the Celtics had is a absolute credit to being an owner.

[00:07:31] It is the things that we as fans could only ask for of our owner. Can you spend the money to keep our team good? Do we have a shot to win?

[00:07:45] And what did that and I want to first congratulate them on just the years of service and the continued years of service that he's going to provide the Celtics over the next four years.

[00:07:59] But also this, the question now is, who is going to be the next steward of this precious franchise in the NBA? Now understand I live in LA. I understand that we're the glamour franchise.

[00:08:18] But to have a glamour franchise, you got to have a franchise that is the opposite. And I don't mean listening to the discouraging way. What I mean is that you got to have, you know, you got to have you Nemesis and Boston is that Nemesis.

[00:08:38] They are great, great run organization. Wicked has done a great job for the last 22 years and going on. And it will be very interesting to see who kind of jumps out the shadows to be the leading candidate to own the Boston Celtics.

[00:09:00] But as I start to know things, you guys will know things and then we'll go from there. Right? A couple other pieces of news come out of Boston. Here's a great thing about winning championship. Everybody gets money.

[00:09:16] You get an extension. You get in the bag. What do you want? Do you want crypto? What do you want? Do you want to, what's that? Do you want to say, Georgia calling or whatever the case would be? Would you like it in bear bonds?

[00:09:36] Well, Jason Tatum signs the largest NBA contract in history five years three hundred and fourteen million dollars. Just a little good under sixty three million annual average value of this contract.

[00:09:56] Jason Tatum is paid. Yes, sir. So the guy that we, you know, I think we brought up legitimate questions about whether he was like in that top four or whatever.

[00:10:10] But there's no question while how good Jason Tatum is and how additive he is to a franchise. He's a good citizen. He never gets in trouble really. You never hear a pee loud of him.

[00:10:24] His son is constantly at the games dozed, which is just brings a smile to my face all the time. And he plays excellent basketball and there's a lot of non-ego that goes along with Jason Tatum and that tandem of jailing Brown.

[00:10:45] So I think this is an interesting, I don't think the signings are interesting. But this is our first real test of the second apron because now only did they sign Jason Tatum to the largest NBA contract in history.

[00:11:01] They also signed our guy Derek White. Derek White also got paid four years a hundred and twenty six million dollars. So if you count that homeboys and girls in one day, wait gross back spent four hundred and forty million dollars. That is a good owner.

[00:11:28] Kudos to the Celtics, Kudos to Jason Tatum. He earned this contract all the stuff that he went through in Boston, all the questions that I had of him fans had of him media members had of him.

[00:11:43] He answered all those questions and now he's a champion and you can't take it away from him. And then they signed one of the best role players in the league, Derek White who is a defensive starward.

[00:12:01] Is an additive offensive player because he knows how to drill a pass and shoot. He's fundamentally sound.

[00:12:09] It's okay whether he takes eight shots or 14 shots in the game, no problem there. And all this dude does is win. So I love the signings. I love they locked them up.

[00:12:27] It's a very, very expensive team because Chris, of course, Ingers got his extension last year when he came over. You got Jaylin Brown who had the largest contract in NBA history for a second and now Jason Tatum does.

[00:12:45] Drew Holiday got an extension and now Derek White. So really everybody on their starting five is taking care of. So we do not have to worry about that. Now it's just margins.

[00:13:01] And it's just, it's a good situation to be in if you're a Celtic fan. So again, as we look towards the future and knowing that we have four more years away, gross big. A Boston fans, I know that you're going through a struggle with the Red Sox.

[00:13:22] And now it's been a couple of down years of the New England Patriots and you've been questioning maybe management in both arenas. The one thing you don't have to worry about is the Boston Celtics and how they're run until whoever the next owner is.

[00:13:43] So we don't like to leave it on the down note. We like to leave it on a good note. The Celtics being champion and the squirrels of being champion is that everybody is rich. So we going to have to hit up Jason Tatum and see if we can get along.

[00:14:01] We also might have to hit up Derek White as also a migration weather and see if we can get along. As a light skinted weather is need to stick together. So I'm hoping that I can talk to my guys and see if we can create some kind of light skinted conglomerate or something. We'll see how that goes.

[00:14:21] Wish me well in my endeavors of the elevator pitch to Jason Tatum. Could you imagine? Speaking of light skinted people, Dean here, Clay Thompson has signed on to go to the Dallas Mavericks. This was a sign entry.

[00:14:39] He got three years. He got $50 million dollars. Now, here's a little story gets really interesting and I know that people are going to sit here and go like don't be ESPN and talk about the lakeers, but I gotta talk about the lakeers, right?

[00:14:57] Okay, so we knew it was down to the lakeers and the Mavericks as of last night when the Paul George stuff came in. And if you are new to the podcast, I honestly recommend going back to day one of the free agent frenzy and my live reaction when Paul George does make the decision to go

[00:15:27] to the 76ers. I was tired, it was going a long day, but that definitely gave me a boost of energy seeing that Paul George sparring the clickers and the clickers continue to clip.

[00:15:43] So go back to archive, pause and get that. Now back to Clay Thompson. He does sign the three year deal. He gets the 50 million. Now how the actual machinations of the tree works?

[00:15:56] Because it was a sign entry so Clay comes to Dallas. Now Dallas is at the cellular cap. So how does this work?

[00:16:06] They sent Josh Green to the Charlotte Hornets. So here is one of the wings that, you know, we talked about them getting quitting crimes last night from Detroit, but they sent off Josh Green.

[00:16:24] But they get Clay Thompson who is a absolute sniper, whatever you want to talk about with the dimension skills of Clay Thompson, you know, is he the defensive player he wants was no. And here's the thing. He's 34 years old.

[00:16:45] So the decline was going to happen. Irrigarly's, but then you put on top of that the knee injury and the Achilles back to back. Yes, he is not going to be the same defensive.

[00:17:00] And then he was when he was in his prime in his early 30s and late 20s. Clay Thompson is still a very smart, cerebral basketball player. And with the two big system that Dallas utilizes.

[00:17:19] And what they do utilize with PJ Washington, Derrick Lively and Daniel Gaffert will also be able to help Clay Thompson in his adjustment. Now the other problem with this deal is that you now have Luca out there, Kyle, re out there and play out there.

[00:17:41] So Dallas might need to score a lot of points. Okay, because I don't think any of those guys on the perimeter are going to be able to stop anybody.

[00:17:56] But it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch because they're going to put up a lot of points. Now the Golden State part of this thing, they didn't.

[00:18:09] Didn't lose clay for, absolutely nothing. Right? Not like the Clippers losing ball George. But I do find it very interesting. The Lakers had a deal on the table.

[00:18:25] This is wildly reported. You can go to Brian Winhoors, Sean Sharania, Jake Fisher of Yahoo. They've all reported it that the Lakers had a deal on the table with the Golden State Warriors to send back the Angelo Russell.

[00:18:44] And then they would go ahead and have Golden State signed clay to a four year, $80 million deal. So that would have got clay, a 20 million annual average value of a salary. They declined it two reasons why remember Golden State had the Angelo Russell. Right? They had him.

[00:19:16] They were the team that traded him away. That's how they got Andrew Wiggins, right? The Angelo went to go play with his best friend called Anthony Towns and then we had a trade back to the Lakers.

[00:19:34] So, Giannsalau, not one in the Bay. The Lakers didn't have another avenue to be able to do this deal. And they were thwarted again in making a dent into this free agency.

[00:19:53] And we're going to get to them in a second because we're going to finish it with the Clay thing. But I also find it interesting that Clay, go to basically put the nails to Golden State say, I only want to go to LA.

[00:20:06] He did not do that. He chose to go Dallas and I think that is a stark reminder to Laker fans that your team, your franchise is not seen as a franchise that has it all together.

[00:20:24] There's too many chefs in the kitchen, too many, you know, I want to go into the other thing because we really respect our indigenous people here on frontrunner podcast collective.

[00:20:37] But at the end of the day, and I told you guys this in a pod, I want to say a week ago. I talked to a Eastern conference executive.

[00:20:48] And they splat out said that the Lakers were like the last seven years, they're being an absolute shit chill. That was there. So to me, could you don't know who you have to deal with to get whatever piece of situation done?

[00:21:06] Is it Jeannie? Is it the Ramby? Kurt Ramvis and his wife Linda Ramvis. Is it Polinka? How much influence does Clutch Sports have in the Lakers organization?

[00:21:24] There's a lot of questions and it doesn't seem to be a lot of answers, and even when Rao Kalinka speaks, there doesn't seem to be a lot of answers there. So here's the deal.

[00:21:34] We are now pretty much two days in to NBA for agency. And the Lakers have signed Max Christie their second round pick to a four year deal for $32 million, so $8 million annual average value. Now,

[00:21:56] the Laker's a absolute gift when he said that I would sign for less than the Max, so then you can go out and sign a full mid level exception guy. So far Rao Kalinka has been in on clay.

[00:22:25] He was in on valentunous. All these other names came off the board and we'll get to them in a second. You weren't going to get Isaiah Hardenstein unless there was some sort of sign and trade. They can't do it because they're over the cap, so that's a guy that you definitely wasn't going to get to buy his hair.

[00:22:51] We'll talk about him in a second. All these things happened and we're still waiting, and I continue to refresh my Twitter to see if anything pops up. Nothing's popped up. Now, I do not want to alert or bring more anxiety to Laker fans that they already have.

[00:23:15] I went into a while four or five chat rooms and Twitter spaces that were specifically talking about the Lakers and their offices and so forth,

[00:23:26] and I'm going to tell you right now, it's a complete, I mean, don't sapphire is not the word. These people are mad. They are disappointed.

[00:23:40] They said, how are you going to not be able to utilize this gift that LeBon has given you to his fullest extent? There's even rumors that LeBon basically, no, these are rumors. These are speculations from just outside people. This is not anybody inside this organization at all. This is outside.

[00:24:07] There are people who think that LeBon basically, in a sense, had a wager. I'd let you 20 million dollars while Plinka, that you can't do your job. Now, it's still early.

[00:24:26] Here's the thing that I think I want people to really understand about this CBA because I don't think there's so much to it. Yes, the second apron is very, very punitive. It really stops you from doing anything to whatever your team is at that point once you get that second apron. That's what you are.

[00:24:51] Because it's so inflexible, there's things that you can do but very minimal. And that second apron has become the boogie man of a lot of teams. And my right dimmer and my right nuggets fans. I'm sure Clipper fans are really excited about this second apron.

[00:25:22] Steve Bollmer must be an absolute fan of it because he said the second apron when they had the press conference about Paul George leaving the Clippers.

[00:25:34] That second apron was brought out. I want to say 13 times. So it's doing his job. It's scaring the really wealthy teams into saying, I quit. We can't continue to screen all this money because if you have flaws on your team, you can't fix it.

[00:25:59] Locker Lincoln needs to do something. He still can, but how it works is this is that you have the salary of D-Low. Now I don't know what you have to attach to it to get anything done, but you have that and you still have the mid level exception.

[00:26:17] I don't know what you want to do with that because I think the talent is running out. The rumor is, tomorrow the Rosen and I'm going to tell you right now, if you're, you have visions of clay Thompson being your small forward or wing or whatever you want to call them.

[00:26:40] And then you go to D-Low. Rosen, who is a great player all on his own? He is phenomenal. He scored 24 points again last year.

[00:26:52] Added with 5.3 assists. He's a consummate professional, but here's the problem. You're spacing will still be shit. If you're a Laker fan, I know you guys have been talking about it all day long on Twitter, on probably the what's up out or anything probably in your discord too.

[00:27:21] But I'm going to tell you right now, tomorrow can be additive. If he's going to take a roll as a second unit guy, that still leaves you with trading somebody else to get like a point of attack defender and or a big one of the two.

[00:27:46] So a lot of work to do for Rock, Welinka, the pressure's on. By the way, LeBlanc says, I want all this done by Friday. I'm going to the Olympic facilities and Vegas working out with my guys and I want to have a clean conscience going into my Olympic experience. So we don't have a lot of time.

[00:28:13] But Linka, the hour glass is running out. So it seems very aquapro that we're here.

[00:28:19] But Clay Thompson is a Dallas, so congratulations to the Madre fans you guys have upgraded to team. I like what you guys have done and it never hurts to have a splash brother on your team. So there it is.

[00:28:39] Okay, let's get to the okay. See of it all. We banked this table for months when the trade deadline was going on before the trade deadline.

[00:28:51] We were like, there's no way that Sam Prestey does not get a big to address the issues that they currently had on their roster as of last season.

[00:29:03] I mean, we drone on and on about it, but we drone on and on about it very entertain you know, I like to entertain them.

[00:29:14] So we go to the playoffs. We see what it looks like. Now, in Prestey performance while the Oklahoma City Thunder, I loved them the whole year.

[00:29:25] I love the development of leaps that you saw with Jayland Williams and also with the year off that shit, Hongren had it looked like he did not waste his time.

[00:29:37] He was putting the work and that bag package was looking nice, and he has the outside shot and he's a tremendous defender. All that we said,

[00:29:48] he's like the ass. They don't have any other bigs. So when they sign, I say a heart and sign from the New York Dix for three years, $87 million. You got to be happy Thunder fans. I mean, this is absolutely the guy you want.

[00:30:10] He's just going to rebound, defend, slide his feet, he's going to bring some offensive creation and we're able to hit open shooters.

[00:30:25] He is really good at it at the at the short roll being able to shoot it out to corner three shooters and things of that nature. He's very savvy. He's a tough minded guy he'll take charges.

[00:30:42] He fit right into that real physical system that tubes ran. And now he takes his talents to the prairie, which is great. The other thing is this way Isaiah Hyde Stein is that you're also getting a guy as a person.

[00:31:11] That is why he's going to give to the team. It's not about the coaching aspect of it. I want to set this screen so that my guard can get free.

[00:31:29] I want to roll to the rim aggressively so that it makes the big or whoever's guarding me on the way to the rim. Really have to guard me. There's an intentionality to everything that Isaiah Hyde Stein does and he fits in perfectly with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

[00:31:52] And there are cool to Sam Cresty, who is just absolutely killing it. This dude is amazing. I don't need to give him any more platitudes but we're a big fan of Sam Cresty here on the front one podcast collective.

[00:32:08] Now I'm going to talk about something that is interesting to me. I don't know if it'll be interesting to you but I found it very, very interesting.

[00:32:20] To buy his hair is long time six year. Long time he went to he was a Detroit piston, he was a Orlando magic. He's going a lot of things but to buy his hair is signed a two year contract and we need we can literally call this do Motown Filly because it's good to go home to buy his hair is in Detroit.

[00:32:45] He signed a two year contract, X 76 or back in Motown so we don't say Motown Filly right. Two years, 52 million, 26 million annual average value on that contract. Now this is what it does for Detroit.

[00:33:08] It gives them a veteran, it gives them a veteran with size. It gives them a veteran with second side creation. It gives them an actual shooter from three point land which.

[00:33:25] It is going to be wild for those young guys to see somebody actually above the break hidden threes. They didn't see it a lot last year. I think some moan, Pontecchio really was the first guy that showed all the Detroit pistons, the young Detroit pistons. Hey we can hit this shot here.

[00:33:49] This is behind this line right here. If we shoot it behind this line, we actually get more points. Listen Detroit I'm making fun but I want you to know I understand you guys had a tough year so it's all in just but you did get twice hair is today. You got Tim Hartoid Jr.

[00:34:14] Here are two guys who can shoot the threes, provide some spacing that you absolutely needed. And now you can look like a functional team right. You can look like some semblance of an NBA team and God forbid if Kade or J. DiVee shoot the threes at a consistently league average level.

[00:34:46] That would be great. Fred Vincent, uh, it's Vincent and Chip England as like the shooting gurus and things of that nature. He's gone earn his money. Oxora Thompson, 18% from three last year. J. DiVee is really inconsistent didn't look like he was super comfortable shooting the threes.

[00:35:46] Kade was still wondering if that's going to come around. So there's a lot of guys to work with so Fred Vincent and by the way, if he turns two or three or three of these guys into credible three point shooters and what I'm doing by credible league average.

[00:36:07] And you shoot like five or six of them again, you know, you get them up. Right. If he does that Detroit needs to give him what ownership stake in the pistons.

[00:36:21] You know, there should be a statue put outside of the palace of Bob run and I'll say, Auburn Hills just refer Fred Vincent like he took our wayward shooters and he turned them into decent shooters.

[00:36:38] The ledger to Fred Vincent still lives on. I can see it now. But you know, still doesn't coach that's still going through the process. No, they did they got quicker stuff. So good to hire. I like them.

[00:36:54] We talked about it on last part. Remember, we were doing this into the wee hours of morning last night. I think I'm running on like three hours sleep. So if I'm a little punchy, I hope you can show me a little grace, but we digressed into the rest of some of these free agent things that I want to hit before we get up out of here.

[00:37:16] The other ones are going to be kind of quick hitters. When I was going to spend a lot of time on it, I'm going to kind of and then I'm going to kind of tell you what we're kind of waiting on for the rest of free agency.

[00:37:31] Golden State, I thought this was excellent. After they lost clay, they signed the Anthony, Anthony Milton. Now, Anthony Milton was with the six years last year. I really like him.

[00:37:45] Normally of a Memphis Grizzlies, he signed a one year mid level deal. So like 12.8. It's a great pickup because to me, the Anthony Milton is a better shooting version of Gary Peyton.

[00:38:03] The second Milton is a good re-rounder, just like Gary Peyton. Now, Gary Peyton might be have a flare for the dramatic because of his athleticism and being able to jump high.

[00:38:20] But the Anthony Milton is a solid contributor. He will do his job. I think this is a slam dunk for the Golden State Warriors. Now, it doesn't help.

[00:38:33] They all the stuff that's going on with them. Luzic clay is Andrew Wiggins ever going to play like the basketball that we saw back in 2022 when the Golden State Warriors were making that final front.

[00:38:49] I don't know what that's in parada. You can't trade this guy, you're going to need to get something out of him. And last year, a lot to be desired. If you think about it matter fact, it's been basically two years since we've seen Andrew Wiggins.

[00:39:09] I'm hoping that maybe his role changes a little bit, maybe he doesn't feel as much pressure because this team is now kind of fading into their final days of being a super, super relevant.

[00:39:31] Now, here's the other thing. All of this going on. So, Golden State, they lose clay, right? They, you know, the team is Andrew Wiggins is not playing as well.

[00:39:44] You know, the wise men's situation didn't work out when they dropped the hand back in 2020 and that kind of spiral them down a little bit. Now, they kind of bounce back after the title on 22 but that was on the strength of the core that they have built previous.

[00:40:03] You're talking about Steph Curry, you talk about Dream on Green, you're talking about Clay Thompson, they added Andre equal dollar to the mix later on, right?

[00:40:18] But now, when there's new phase where Steph is older, no more clay. So we're down to, we don't have what is it? So it's a singular splash brother.

[00:40:35] And Dream on who's going to be excellent as an offensive hub and getting the passes out and rebound and setting screens, he does what he does. Well, now Jonathan coming up needs to step up and they need to have a bigger year from Moses moody.

[00:40:53] And you know, Pazinski played well his rookie year, which was great. But right down, I don't see a pathway for gold state to be very good deck here.

[00:41:08] And when you think about it, we just talked about okay, see they were they were the dumb one seed last season and they just got Isaiah Hardenstein didn't lose any, they didn't lose anyone.

[00:41:24] You know, you think about it there's kind of a plus plus you add Alex Coruso one of the best defensive gods in this league and then you add Isaiah Hardenstein. So you know they're not going anywhere.

[00:41:46] You got the Debra nuggets okay, yes, they might be a little diminished, but you've still gotten a call of yellow gets in a really good solid core group still right me like a port of junior. Shoot the three Aaron Gordon Jamal Murray.

[00:42:07] This is not I mean, yes, guess you don't have those little ancillary luxury pieces that you used to with Bruce Brown and could take his call well pope. But the core is still there.

[00:42:22] So if you can hit around the margins with somebody young players, they start filling roles that were vacated by the likes of containers called well pope. They think Christian Brown can fill that role will see who's going to replace the gross brown role.

[00:42:42] They have this kid pick excuse me, they have this kid pick it from Pittsburgh that they picked up not in this draft but in the previous draft so you know they got some young guys to work with will just see.

[00:42:58] What it all does but I mean there's there's a lot of teams out there and if you think about what gold state is you think about some of the losses over the last couple seasons and just the age as you age. And we as.

[00:43:14] Sprung you're not going to be as energetic you're just not going to be the dudes you were at 28 and this is where we are.

[00:43:25] I mean at best gold state is a planting right now unless something changes go and state like high high level is like seven in the western conference it's still loaded. I know we got rid of a couple people you know like Paul George went to Philadelphia.

[00:43:48] Okay let's say that the clippers take a step back okay so we just talked about Oklahoma City then you got Denver then you got Minnesota Dallas just got better right. So New Orleans. Will the Lakers be heard from we don't know sacramental trying to do things.

[00:44:15] So it's a deep conference and where does golden state necessarily fit in I don't know when I will tell you this.

[00:44:24] If they think there's going to be some sort of bounce back year the kids are going to have to do it it's going to be the pros and skis of the world Jonathan commiegas is going to have to take.

[00:44:34] a leap for all this to go down which which is I don't know I don't know now the click was had a ton of moves once they lost. Paul George they signed Chris done they signed Nicholas but two they not they signed well bomb were.

[00:45:01] They was assigning people left and right here we go here's a money here's a money. Gary Harris went back to the Orlando magic that's a good sign with what they've done as well now he can back up.

[00:45:16] Contabies call will pope you have now solid contributors at the two guard. In your rotation you don't have to worry about it. Now jet hour can. Develop.

[00:45:33] You know you can now call Anthony doesn't have to be this complete crazed man taking 16 shots on that second unit Orlando is doing some things I like what they're doing. It's a good thing and then we also are going to.

[00:45:52] I'm going to close it out with our guy go go batatzy and then he's in line with bringing him up is because I was a lot of Orlando magic basketball last season.

[00:46:05] I know I'm sick sick man but this is what I do for you guys anyways there was a point where window carded junior was heard.

[00:46:15] And I'm watching a stretch of like six seven games of go go batatzy remember he was somebody who's drafted by the Indiana Pacers let go. He went to Orlando and this dude was really helpful. He rebounds aggressively he put the ball in the hole if he's near it.

[00:46:43] He has nice touch around the rim. He plays with like an edge a little nasty in him so he's not going to take a lot of crap from people. I just like the physical presence that he brought to the Orlando magic.

[00:46:59] It was good to see and they they rewarded him with like a six with a one year deal like things like six million or something like that so good deal for batatzy.

[00:47:12] Good stand stand with it you know when you get let go of organization there's a there's a tendency to put your head down there's a tendency to kind of mope.

[00:47:22] This dude got right back on the bike and just kept pellen so big us to him to get the contract I really loved it now what should we be looking for in day three couple things here.

[00:47:39] We still don't know where the mar de rose is going to go we have no clue about that real that's really like the last big free agent piece that's out there.

[00:47:52] Now keep in mind with the new CBA your mid level exception can kind of be used as like a trade exception and then be like you can add like a salary to it.

[00:48:09] So there's ways that you can kind of maneuver around this CBA so we might still have some deals that need to be done.

[00:48:22] So I just want people to understand that even though they're not a ton of big name free agents out there we're not necessarily done to the trades are done. Remember Brandon Ingram is still available.

[00:48:40] Zach Levine who the Chicago bulls have been trying to try out almost like a prostitute down there. He's still out there and I think sometimes the value will get low enough where somebody will go. We should do that we should we should take a chance.

[00:49:08] I mean Zach Levine is a 25 point per gain score now injuries. Questionable out of two. Questionable vibes guy all of that is on the table I will now argue at all with you on that.

[00:49:28] But I will say this we have seen it before we have seen extremely talented players who have had. That's situations or they had some maturing to do they go to the next organization.

[00:49:47] I somebody puts it all around this person or give them a slipkicking ass one of the two and it's boom new person all over.

[00:49:59] Where did this person come from he's actually playing defense you know he said nice things to the usher's the other day we see in the time of time again. Malik rug never look happy and show it.

[00:50:14] This dude gets to LA and then now open to Sacramento and he's he's flourishing. Absolutely flourishing. And there's so many types of things like this in the league think about what we saw with Daniel Gaffer when he got to Dallas and PJ Washington.

[00:50:36] Those guys weren't given that type of effort when they were on Charlotte and Washington respectively. That only came when they went to a chance with an opportunity that where they can win when they felt like they were on a serious organization.

[00:50:52] No shade to Washington, no shade to Charlotte but you are growing a culture you don't have an established culture. That's the difference. That's why Jordan pool can act the way he does in Washington and couldn't get away nearly halfway.

[00:51:16] Could you imagine Jordan pool trying to do that in Miami? You imagine Jordan pool talking talking mess to Jimmy Butler how would that go for Jordan pool? You imagine the conversations that Pat Riley would have with Jordan pool again sometimes.

[00:51:49] And I understand that it's hard for people to it's hard for people to grasp but there are certain organizations out there.

[00:51:58] Maybe no further there on could be on a ship could be just we had a bad stretch of just making some you know some maybe less than favorable.

[00:52:13] I did as with trades and we free agency in with the draft and you go through like a eight year quagmire. It happens I understand all that but there is something to be said for you know like weight gross.

[00:52:35] Trying to think of really another solid solid on them. I'm a fan of what the Oklahoma City Thunder do you know there's just teams out there did just handle business correctly.

[00:52:55] You know you don't hear a lot of crazy stuff come out there building and you know this is this is what happens you know this is why we have free agency this is why things are just out there but.

[00:53:12] Here's the other one that is out there and I want to I'll leave it on this one miles bridges is out there ladies and gentlemen and for a lot of us who kids. We know the story right there was a legit domestic violent situation.

[00:53:40] Those charges there was no contest and then the charges got dropped or there was some so oh no what no there were the no contest on the domestic violence deal.

[00:53:54] Then there was some sort of restraining order situation that there was a violation of that turned out that was false. Now miles bridges on the court. Okay now we're going to leave off the court aside for second on the court.

[00:54:22] 25 years old 40% three point shooter really tough rebounder good he can be a good defender if he was motivated.

[00:54:35] Again, Charlotte no shade you know what you been doing like the last three years we know about the new regime we know about the new ownership we wish you luck we love your draft we'd like to take last year.

[00:54:49] What you do have to admit that you were on serious franchise for like the last four five years yeah to just admit that to me let that go and know.

[00:55:02] When you see CJ Washington flourishing and Dallas and you see other dudes out here doing it on other teams. This is what happens so miles bridges is out here and it could be a intriguing piece now.

[00:55:24] If nothing was going on in the world with him a 26 year old wing that's like 6,7,6,8, 225 pounds. She's a three can play defense that's a 30 million dollar a year do.

[00:55:43] Because of all this his market and his value is very murky right now so if you are 18 that believes in grace you believe in second chances or you believe that this do can help you. Play basketball at a high level.

[00:56:09] I know there are certain people that will be able to or not be able to swallow and see miles bridges on their team. I know they'll get some people who go hey I don't care productivity whatever. I want to strike a balance. I do.

[00:56:32] I had a mother who grew who raised me and was a victim of domestic violence from her husband.

[00:56:47] I mean I want to say from the time they got together until the time she finally left him and I was 12 so she was with him for like two years before I was born.

[00:57:00] But anyways we're trying to say is this that you you just take the soul of a person. When you abuse them you you really damage an individual like that now miles bridges. The young cat probably had a lot of money for the first time maybe some maturity issues.

[00:57:35] I know that last year he seemed to be a model citizen there was nothing that came out of Charlotte about miles bridges. That was adding to the darkness that was from the prior year we'll see it like that right.

[00:57:54] So is this a kid that turned the corner and you can buy low and get a kid that has really learned something from this experience and is going to embrace his. Newfound freedom and role or whatever the case. I don't know what I will say this.

[00:58:15] I'm going to say what you're looking forward to seeing what happens in day three of NBA.

[00:58:22] Free agency frenzy so with that being said again hit the socials if you agree with anything that was said here tonight or disagree hit me up on Twitter at front runner PC also hit up my producers and tell them what an incredible job.
