[00:00:12] In a sport that never sleeps, it is literally 1140 Sunday night. Front Runner Podcast Collective brings you the first day of the NBA Free Agent Frenzy I am your humble host Vince and we have a lot to get to.

[00:00:33] So we buckle up, get some coffee, let's go because it's time. Let's get to the socials real quick and then we'll get to all of what's going on today. X at Front Runner PC produces at rare underscore, funch, FRPC hit them up, get questions about

[00:01:02] what's going on, there's a lot that is going on and more to get to in the next upcoming days. The YouTube channel has been a little neglected, obviously because of the Free Agent Frenzy. We will be putting up full podcast on YouTube.

[00:01:22] I don't know if it'll be video, it will be the audio, we will get clips up as we can get there but right now we are under a crunch because of all of what's going on and when you

[00:01:35] hear all the transactions that I have, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. But to get yourself caught up on all what's going on because somebody's stuff was talked about before hand. Go to the YouTube channel for a running podcast collective. A lot of interesting things there.

[00:01:57] Then everybody's doing such a great job, I've always talked about especially this month we have hit record numbers and be a friend, tell a friend about the podcast. Especially this time of year, we got a lot going on.

[00:02:15] I know you guys want to be kept up to date on all of the news that is going on in the NBA and there is a lot so we will not waste any more time. We're going to get into it right now.

[00:02:27] First we are going to start off with the signings. I want to start off with the OGN and no signing. I know that it's a couple of days when you talked about it a couple of times. Now we're going to correlate this with the McKell Bridges trade.

[00:02:44] Okay, it makes so much sense now that everything is together in New York. New York now if you look at their team, Jalen fronts and McKell Bridges, OGN and no be Julius Randall and whoever is going to be at center and we'll get to Hardenstein later.

[00:03:08] Got news on that. But OGN and no being he had to get signed, it was the right play for the next at this point in time. I do have concerns because OG is injury prone. New York fans know all about this.

[00:03:28] Now we give him his flowers because this injury was real tough. They're going injuries in the past with in Toronto that were I want to say questionable whatever but he seems to be more injury prone.

[00:03:47] Even though it's very exciting you got to equate at least 20 games without OG. Kind of factor that into the price tag a little bit, but it was the price of doing business.

[00:04:02] I know that the way the New York front office looks at it with the cap going up over the next five years and with the new TV deal coming in that this won't look as bad year, three year, four

[00:04:18] year, five. So for them it makes a lot of sense. They decided to do it and then pull all the gunnel nobokids together and have them play. And we'll see what the ease looks like next year with this.

[00:04:36] A Malik Mug guy signed to a four year deal where it's 77.98 million dollars. He is going back to Sacramento. Great thing about this deal with Malik Mug is that what a great turnaround of his career.

[00:04:54] Remember he signed a veteran minimal contract to sign with the Lakers three years ago. He played on the team that was completely dysfunctional but he was really our shining star that year

[00:05:11] throughout the inconsistencies with the stars and whatever the case may be. Malik Mug showed up and showed and then he continued to improve himself in Sacramento and he was rewarded with this contract

[00:05:26] today. So 77.98 million from Malik Mug I love it they had to do it and I hope that there's more to come with Sacramento as far as improving the team giving the Dearing Fox a little more help.

[00:05:42] Let's see if there's anything that we need to talk about. The one thing Malik Mug you know that he is a microwave score he's going to give you all he can off the bench just do also average 5.1 assists

[00:05:58] a game which is a career high. So Malik Mug is turning in to a complete player it took a while but finally all clicked in for him and it clicked in in a spot where that fan base is one of the best

[00:06:15] fan bases in the league. I am not a Sacramento fan y'all know that as a Laker fan I can't not like really like you but I respect you a lot because you guys are great fans and you deserve a good team and

[00:06:31] I hope this is just a beginning. Nick Clarkston signs back with Brooklyn four years a hundred million dollars now. I understand you can't lose the asset it's the price of doing business a little bit but

[00:06:50] I know there were a couple teams that had some cap room to utilize money but were you really worried about Nick Clarkston getting 25 million on the open market? I don't know what I do understand that they're going through a rebuild they wanted half a defensive anchor

[00:07:12] and if you're going to give your money a somebody I guess Nick Clarkston is not the worst person give your money to but now that they own their pick for the 20 25 season. Brooklyn or the

[00:07:24] Brooklyn fans that are out there or the ex communicated New Jersey net fans that are out there this is the year of tanking embrace the tank because it will be coming this year

[00:07:42] so come out with a cute name for a tanking for cougar flag and enjoy this season a manual quickly okay I wow okay Toronto five years a hundred and seventy five million dollars

[00:08:02] for a manual quickly. I will tell you this this is a big investment and they are banking on improvement I can tell you that is a lot of money that's 35 million a year for a manual

[00:08:16] quickly who we didn't know if he was a six man starter I don't know what we really were who is a lot of money again and I know you can tell me the cap is going up but if they are wrong

[00:08:34] on this one this is gonna hurt them of the next three years. Good luck to Scotty Barnes you got a lot of heavy lifting to do my brother and I'm glad you got paid because Scotty got paid

[00:08:49] you got two hundred and nineteen over five too so that's it so Toronto is locking up everybody here's my thing quickly he's a small guard now he's physically strong he can get his own shot no doubt

[00:09:06] my problem is what is he defensively we saw do some agride take over his spot with the next and it looked like the next didn't miss a beat without a manual quickly. Now the scoring is

[00:09:23] gonna be better with quickly than it would be with do some agrides so they are banking on that the production is going to go up. Now I will tell you that with more opportunity last year in Toronto

[00:09:36] over the 28 games the efficiency was dipping and it did significantly so my thing is that he'd had not really started when he was with the next his 10 year with the next.

[00:09:52] Give him all season also depending on what this team is gonna look like at the end of NBA free agency frenzy let's see what next year looks like before we pass judgment on IQ.

[00:10:10] Now we get two Royce O'Neill Royce O'Neill signs a deal with the sons for four years $44 million. The good thing about this is for the sons is that they needed to retain

[00:10:26] any good pieces that they had. They are still going to be bargain hunting shopping. They did it in a draft they moved down six spots in the draft to get second round picks and I really liked

[00:10:41] know what they did in the draft as well but Royce O'Neill shot the ball. That was a great thing about what he did for the Phoenix sons as a floor spacer so I think it's a good depth piece

[00:10:57] I think for a team who needs just bodies at this point this is somewhat you had to just absolutely retain the asset his shooting numbers have improved he shot a couple of croissants

[00:11:11] better with the sons than he did with Brooklyn prior to moving on it's funny right you put him around great players he shoots better funny how that works. Now I will say this his defense

[00:11:29] he's known as a 3nd D wing I will say the defense has taken it off a little bit now I wonder with the functionality of maybe getting a couple more bodies that can score

[00:11:43] taking some of the scoring burden off him he can a lot more in on defense and I wonder what that looks like. I don't know I think the defense is on the diminishing returns cycle at this point

[00:12:00] I think as a floor spacer he's going to be very important and he's not a terrible defender I'm just saying he's not the defender he wants was when he was in Utah when he was a really

[00:12:11] respected defender I think now it's more reputation than it is actual but good deal for the sons nonetheless you got to lock up your guys speaking of locking up your guys right behind Royce O'Neill

[00:12:27] O'Neill Bowle Bowle signed a veteran minimal contract one year this is obviously a recurring thing for the sons than he bodies you got to have him he's seven foot two handles the ball a little bit

[00:12:42] he can shoot it a little bit he is not a playoff performer well so if your whole deal is a you are going to continue to develop a ball so then he can give you some serviceable minutes in

[00:13:00] the playoffs I understand it but it is something of a very there's not a lot of skin in the game when it comes to the son of a ball but those are the signings as of right now and then we got the

[00:13:17] Patrick Williams signing out of a ton of notes it's going to be great now Patrick Williams let's just get the contract out the way so you saw he resized with Chicago its five years is 90 million dollars

[00:13:33] okay the assay you got to keep I definitely understand what we're doing here I'm also going to say that a 22 year old six foot seven six foot eight depending on where you stand with the 225 pound power forward who's completely super athletic rocked up look action super hero

[00:14:02] I understand why you keep that asset now however five years 90 million dollars we sing glances of improve play with Patrick Williams but we've never seen him fully put it together now all be it the Chicago Bulls have been a bastion for a cultivating talent

[00:14:31] in the sense of you got Levine and his nonsense going on and then you had the unfortunate long-to-all injury that side tracked their whole situation and then the vibes probably not a macula in Chicago right now so some of the development glitches or impediments whatever you would

[00:14:57] like to call it might not be all on him but this that's decent money so you're expecting that this guy is going to grow into something more sustainable something more solid for your team and now as

[00:15:16] far as the tools are concerned and how when he came out of Florida State we thought this guy was going to be completely box office but the outsize shooting really hasn't taken off now mind you

[00:15:29] I will say this he shot three point four attempts last year which was like major for him and he shot 40% that's the hope that's the hope is that this six foot eight physical specimen

[00:15:48] can figure it out and provide Chicago with some some production that they certainly need so we'll see if they can get it done with Patrick Williams in this five year 90 million dollar contract

[00:16:05] DeAjre Jordan signs with Denver veteran minimum I don't mind it it's a listen for for DJ A player he getting them keep getting them checks that's all going to tell you paper is good and if they're going to give it to you for being a good vibes guy

[00:16:33] blocking a couple shots here in there provide no physical presence in the paint A man go ahead get that three four mil on all my go trip so DeAjre Jordan got that veteran minimum I don't see any issues with this this is

[00:16:54] just what you do now we get to an interesting one so Owee Toppin who was traded from the Nakes to the Pacers in the offseason last year he signed this year for a year 60 million dollars and

[00:17:14] Owee Toppin played really well for Indiana there was a point in time before Pascal got there he was doing real work he showed his outside shooting ability it was much improved he provided

[00:17:29] the energy of spark the defense still lacking personally he needs to get way better on that but it wasn't of lack of effort now at least the effort part with Owee is there but the 40% shooting from three is the thing that we are absolutely thrilled about because floor

[00:17:53] spacing is a big thing and if you have your six foot eight to six foot nine powerful out there shooting three is it is Owee's up the floor for you and you don't mind Owee making that kind of dough

[00:18:08] when he's coming off the bench sparing Pascal C. Owee and whoever their three is and there's a lot of lineup flexibility that it gives you there's some on-ball juice

[00:18:21] Owee the law threat is going to be there so sports center is going to be all the way live for Indiana and it's going to be great but defensively he has to get better there were this times where he

[00:18:33] got lost there are times where he just missed assignments some of that could be learning the Carlisle system as he continues to grow in the system he'll get better with it we'll see

[00:18:48] but that's his of Blonis White right now Alex Lynn signs with Sacramento that minimum this is another big not a lot to talk about here he's barely going to play but good god of half good rebounder

[00:19:08] gonna set screens for you he knows his job and I really think this is just one of those things where it's kind of yeah well you're going to do I can get this dude keep this dude for like couple

[00:19:20] mill okay all right so now K cutting halbe who was eligible for his rookie extension he signed it for the Detroit Pistons five years 226 million dollars for K cutting halbe

[00:19:42] and I'm gonna tell you right now that dude earned every dime of that and the reason why I say that is that he had to put up with this nonsense that's been going on in Detroit and

[00:19:56] I know that the owner bank money Williams to take that job last year and you did it Kate a disservice so now I do not care about what you got to pay Kate because this dude really

[00:20:15] you can throw away last year you can just throw it away this year is really the year and oh J.B. Bitterstaff got that job I think he'll do a really good job in Detroit because

[00:20:30] team building development is something that he's very good at he left Cleveland that team was more established when Donald and Mitchell got there and when Jared Allen got there but when you get them

[00:20:43] around a young team he definitely can develop so I'm looking forward to see what happens with that where our guy Kate cutting him got the bag but here's the thing he got the bag for

[00:20:58] the bag for the no floor spacing screw okay there's nobody on his team I take that back I do take that back because we have Tim Hardaway Jr in the building now ladies and gentlemen

[00:21:18] Tim Hardaway Jr is a Detroit piston now we'll see with some of the other moves that go on they just need floor spacing they have to have it I think quite as kept to buy his hair

[00:21:40] it's gonna be a good guy to get to as well personally I would think now we get to the Dejante Murray trade I'm gonna give you my thoughts on it Atlanta was in an untenable position okay the

[00:22:00] trade young Dejante Murray experiment did not work even though Dejante Murray is a 6-litre guard with a 6-eleven wingspan you would think that would help and make up but he's slight a

[00:22:18] build it's hard for him to get off screens he does try hard but and he is a good defender and I think in a more serious situation and Atlanta you can kill me for that if you want but

[00:22:36] it's hard for me to take you seriously when I know for a fact that Tony Ressler's son is good friends with trade and we still not have really seen the accountability from

[00:22:52] trade young that we needed to see those are my thoughts on that but now with Dejante Murray going to New Orleans because that's the trade Dejante Murray goes to New Orleans New Orleans sends back

[00:23:07] Larry Nass Jr. Dyson Daniels that's the jewel of the trade Dyson Daniels EJL ideal to make the money work a 2025 pick which is now the Lakers pick which will see how free agency goes because now that Laker pick is in the hands of the Atlanta Hawks.

[00:23:34] Interesting about that and then they also get the 2029 pick which is the lesser of the first round picks between Milwaukee and the pelicans themselves now as far as Atlanta is concerned

[00:23:51] you had to break up that tandem getting Dyson Daniels back helps trade if you are going to start again with trade I think you finally have the right mix to make it work so shots out to landry

[00:24:12] fields I was hard on this Okiho in Atlanta but if you look at a possible lineup a theoretical lineup if you will down the road as well but you could have a lineup where trade young out there

[00:24:33] Dyson Daniels out there is a point of attack defender six seven long arms six eight long arms then you got Zachary Risa Sheh the number one overall pick from France and then you also have

[00:24:54] Jalen Johnson this is the type of team if they shoot this is the type of team that you can now high trade this was the team that you needed to build around him so congratulations to

[00:25:13] legendary fields in the job that he's done made some necessary moves to change some things up I'm glad that we have some logic thinking people in the building now that's not a shout out

[00:25:28] my boy Travis Slink I think there were other factors behind some of the moves that he made in Atlanta that probably weren't his so there's that all right so here's the thing at

[00:25:48] Atlanta fans especially my guy cash shout out to my guy cash in Atlanta I want to know how you guys think my one know what's going on what do you think your the redo of trade with changing the team around trade

[00:26:04] again so I need my ATL people to let me know what's up hit me up on X at front runner PC we are going to move around oh here's the Tim Hauderway trade now Tim Hauderway

[00:26:19] Dallas trades him two Detroit dares you're shooting they traded away Clinton Grimes who they got from New York in the trade for Boyong Bogdanovich in the round the trade deadline I'll quit and grinds I think he was hurt didn't play a lot in Detroit I like the

[00:26:42] outside play for Dallas and Quentin Grimes he is a gritty defender he can shoot it he does get streaky but I do the outside play with the two way capability of quitting drives and hey listen

[00:26:58] if your Detroit getting Michigan kid back in the sense that you went to Michigan providing shooting it's a low pressure situation in Detroit you not you guys aren't trying to win get like a ton of games just some improvement would be good and also put some sort of

[00:27:27] entertaining product out there on the court would be nice where it looks like you do have some capability of winning games so I don't mind this trade whatsoever we'll see how it works and we'll see if they can get more shooting Toronto traded jailing midangios two Sacramento

[00:27:49] for Davian Mitchell who's the guard at Baylor three years ago if you remember that and Sasha Veznakov Veznakov was a guy we take brought over last year he was the

[00:28:05] free agent they brought over we left he we thought he could shoot it he never really got off the bench never really got an opportunity in Sacramento that was probably because his defense was poor

[00:28:19] which is sandalot because Sacramento didn't have a lot of defense it was more of a salary dump I would ever for Sacramento they get jailing midangios back and I hey another long win yeah sign me up Sacramento needs as many of them as they possibly can get

[00:28:54] so I enjoy this a log with Devon Carter that they got from Providence in the draft I think this is these are the type of moves you gotta start making this is a step in a right direction

[00:29:07] now we're gonna move along to Max Christie of the Los Angeles Lakers this happened early in the Max Christie's resized with the Lakers four years 32 million dollars so eight a year

[00:29:24] I like to deal I personally hope with the coaching change of JJ Retic I hope that his two weight his two weigh ability gets to be shown off more I think Max can shoot it I know

[00:29:43] that it has looks streaky in the past but when you're in it out of rotations and getting buried for weeks upon time and then I'm trying to have a never call it's really hard for a young guy

[00:29:57] to really grasp that situation Max has good size he's like 65 almost 66 oh he's put on a little weight since he's gotten here I think he was like a book 81 guy here I think he's like a two

[00:30:13] five now something like that but yeah I like the kid I like his tenacity I like the way he plays defense he rebounds very well I believe in the shot so Max Christie's resigning with the Lakers is

[00:30:28] good thing his brother is a clipper we talked about it on the last spot who gets biggest turkey leg at Thanksgiving now is it weighted by the winds of whoever which Christie won in the battle of LA how I don't know how it's weighted best record

[00:30:49] before Thanksgiving I don't know somebody gonna have to let me know I'm not going to talk to Christie and I'm going to talk to Max and see what's up with that okay now we get it to the spicy season

[00:31:03] the clipper is a resigning jay and tartan to a two-year deal 70 million dollars with a player option so it's a one-year deal folks we get to do this all over again next year how

[00:31:16] excited are you clipper fans how excited are you because this is a part of the program that we're about to get into right now guys are gonna have to give me a little room okay now

[00:31:37] as we all know Paul George is probably not coming back to clippers I am sure that he's not coming back to the clippers personally first and foremost let's talk about how the clippers got

[00:31:53] Paul George because I think that's very important to this whole deal okay so let's start there grab my phone as you can see I'm old now you got a hold the phone like up close

[00:32:12] remember the whole thing about Paul George coming to LA was the makers want to him the makers did not get him he resigned with Oklahoma City said oh no I really like it out here then

[00:32:26] a year later coi Leonard since oldwitchers that he'd like to play with Paul George and then the clippers made a trade to get Paul George which really also got them coi Leonard I do understand that but let me break down what's going on with these picks

[00:32:51] all right so they got shade gilges Alexander in this deal so if you think about it Paul George with the clippers for five years and what she is turned into over like his career and his

[00:33:05] time okay see okay so if you just went player for player now we didn't know SGA was going to be now there were glimpses he was a very promising as a rookie but did we know this I don't know

[00:33:23] really anybody knew this but whatever all right and then they got dinello gone on Ari damn dinello gone Ari and then they got a 2022 first round pick they got a 2024 first round pick

[00:33:39] they got a 26 first round pick remember I just said 2026 they had the clippers pick this year as well and then they moved it all around and it's it's crazy in 2026 okay see has their pick

[00:34:05] they also have picks lots in 2025 they had a pick swap in 2023 as well and then they got a lot of repotective Miami pick as well that's all the things that okay see got for trading Paul George

[00:34:27] and now Paul George is leaving do I blame Paul George no is this one of the most disappointing superstar tandem in history yeah you can say so and the reason why I would say

[00:34:49] something like that is because coiliner is coming off a title in Toronto now all get he's had some injury history some real weird stuff went on in San Antonio he says he was misdiagnosed they

[00:35:08] say he quit I think there's a little sour grapes on both sides personally and I think this truth in the middle personally now they get Paul George because coiliner if you get Paul George

[00:35:26] I'm coming because he's using the lakers as leverage do this whole situation which is funny because Paul George used the lakers as leverage to your for but we digress now I don't know about you

[00:35:43] I live here in Los Angeles and yeah the clippers have beaten the lakers a lot over these last five years that's for sure now we're going to plant in team I don't know if that's any

[00:36:00] awesome shakes at all we got title in 2020 but since then we know I don't know if it would lie home to a lot to write home personally I just now in looking at this situation remember

[00:36:18] this all started with coiliner signing his contract back in the middle of the season and coiliner made a statement at that point and here's the thing we don't ever hear from coiliner

[00:36:33] ever what he had to talk like he just signed an extension for three years and 150 million dollars so he had to give a few words to the media that was there and he said really confidently and pretty

[00:36:54] matter of factly I signed my contract and all James and Paul George was pretty much right behind me that's what he said now the key is the three years that's the key now for coiliner who has made

[00:37:14] ton of money as well as Paul George maybe he's looking at it like on my half three years left my knees a shot I don't know we never know what coiliner because he never tells us anything

[00:37:27] and then the clippers don't know anything because he never tells the clippers anything either so we're all in the dark about coiliner but getting back to college George so you put this y'all put this tandem together five years and we don't have a restaurant conference

[00:37:49] entry at all we have nothing we don't have member go wins we don't have just scintillating playoffs we got a bunch of injuries and this guy is not playing and this guy's not playing and low management and doctors are saying from coilise camp that he's taking time

[00:38:17] off because his knee is hurt and the clippers doctors can't even talk to him and Paul George is sitting there going oh no so you signed for three years a hundred and fifty million and now y'all expect

[00:38:31] me to take three years and last money think a while later as I'm sitting here holding it down the whole time while this do is acting like some kind of recluse okay in the Appalachian mountains

[00:38:45] now I play or give me my money give me my dollars give me my years and I want something you expect put on my name that's what Paul George basically said to the clippers and the clippers said

[00:39:01] your 34 years old you're the second best player on our team we will not pay you more than what we pay coiliner you will accept this deal and Paul George politely to come out in that deal

[00:39:19] and he's going to walk right into the calf space are the Philadelphia 76 now it's not a done deal Paul George has said that he feels disrespected by the clippers he feels a little bit trade

[00:39:38] a little bit Brian Winhoorso ESPN reports that when the deal was done with coi no way let Paul George know like beforehand like he found out like we found out says two things to me

[00:40:00] says that coi liner is not a leader and coi liner doesn't know how to I wouldn't say he doesn't how can I say this he doesn't know how to convey his message in a way where

[00:40:14] everybody is on the same page I am going to hold my tongue a little bit I think this was how do you not talk to you you got him here you said hey yo man if you accept a trade

[00:40:36] I'll go to the clippers you go to the clippers and we'll win a championship together so you were able to have that conversation with Paul George but she wasn't able to have a 100 plus million dollar conversation with Paul George somebody explained this to me

[00:41:01] all right we all got friends we all got people in our lives that we hang out we all got I know for me I yearn for consistency in logic in my life that's what I yearn for

[00:41:19] because I was an alcoholic for 30 plus years and I was a complete raging lunatic so now all I want is consistency and logic in my life I go to great extent to get it now we all have people in our lives

[00:41:42] that are somewhere a little oh this person procrastinated this person maybe release things out here in there or whatever we all have people in our lives but we also know we can dissect like okay

[00:41:59] all right my guy Mac he's a little inconsistent with the time situation or my god chair he's a little inconsistent with he's giving you have to story and drag the rest of it out

[00:42:19] or whatever no these things that you go along I just find it real funny that you have the conversation to get him there but you can't have the conversation to people and talk about the

[00:42:34] money situation how's going on work and how we gonna tie all our our collectiveness together and it's like leverage it against them the man bomber the billionaire it I know I'm going on and on I've drawn a lot about the clip roots with the clip roots clip

[00:42:56] the clip was clip man that's all I'm going to tell you I lived here forever I had a 15 year respite but that's 30 six years 11 here and what I do know about the clip roots is that

[00:43:12] no matter how things change a lot of things stay the same damn it and the clip roots just find a way to clip there it is all right let's get on with the red oh more clip or stuff because I want

[00:43:28] to get to all the clip or stuff because we got a lot of it I'm all about second chances God gave me a second chance certain people in my life have come back to me because when I tell you

[00:43:44] I was a raging lunatic alcoholic I wasn't a good person I'll be candid about who I was and how I acted I acted irreheensible but then I got sober I got saved I also went through a 12 step program

[00:44:07] and then that's 12 step program they talk about making men's and doing inventory personal inventory and what have you and you make a mince and again I am all about second chances I want to

[00:44:25] want to out of hold on to that now again I don't need to get it all up into it maybe there for another podcast I will get a way into it we'll get deep in the weeds on it but let's just say

[00:44:43] I'm a friend of 35 years and when I say 35 that's why I write 35 years something like that longer and because of my alcoholism and because of my inconsistency in my life and because the

[00:45:03] inconsistency in my words and because of the inconsistency of my actions at the end of the day my friend of 35 years decided that was enough for him the men's for him didn't mean that much because

[00:45:28] as much as we gone through and so many good times we had put them through the ringer too many times too and I can talk about how good a person or some of the changes I've made in my life

[00:45:44] or whatever case may be but at the end of the day I was in a him with a choice and he chose not to in a sense a re-engage re-ignite the relationship we friends and whatever and I respect that

[00:46:06] got love for him today he showed up with my mom's a memorial pay-dist respects we maybe send a text here and there everyone's in a while but that's about it sometimes you just don't get

[00:46:24] another chance after you had a lot of chances and this brings me to Kevin Portage Jr signed a two you saw to your contract with the clippers eight million dollars not a lot of money but

[00:46:41] Kevin Portage Jr had issues in Cleveland Kevin Portage Jr's had issues in Houston now Nico will tell you that some of his issues in Houston might have been because of the

[00:46:54] coaching that was going on there prior to email adoka getting there but at the end of the day issues are following Kevin Portage Jr. around and now he's taking his act to the clippers now

[00:47:14] incredible infrastructure there as far as Thai Lou as the coach. I trust Thai Lou now I hope that Kevin Portage Jr has learned a lot from this little hiatus that he has had from the lead

[00:47:36] because he's still very he's still relatively young I think Kevin Portage Jr's like 2526 so I hope he can reignite his career and get it going I hope he takes this opportunity and he absolutely takes advantage of it oh there's Kevin Portage Jr okay so Denver the nuggets

[00:48:06] can last year you had Michael Malone the head coach of on a stage drunk his hill saying that Bruce Brown or as Michael Malone called him Brucec B was coming back to the different nuggets a week later Brucec B was an idiotic pacer okay things happen right

[00:48:42] he was there for one I'll use there for one year no one like he was like the core guy this year this year continuous call will quote a defense star word a three-end E guy

[00:49:05] leaves the different nuggets for the Orlando magic for the tune of three years and 66 million dollars so 22 a year. Calibran Booth who's been talking about it we talked about it on this podcast

[00:49:19] plenty of times Calibran Booth is said over and over again that we must invest in the draft to replenish our coffers because we inevitably are going to lose players because of how the salary cat works and we want to stay viable for a long period of time.

[00:49:46] Sometimes you take it way too far y'all got the homey I know or for my lighter complexion people out there do you have your acquaintance or friend that takes it too far they always plan to much

[00:50:11] they take the joke way too long or they hold a grudge way too long or they tell about some girl they talk to two months ago and still haven't called them back or whatever. Calvin Booth might

[00:50:28] be one of these people because it was okay with Bruce Brown leaving that hurt that Bruce Brown to the Indiana crisis hurt because he was just this Swiss army knife that you could put anywhere on

[00:50:45] the floor you put him on the darkest spot you can put him in the corner he can run a little offense for you you didn't have to run plays for him it was great. They took that away and now

[00:50:59] KCP is going KCP by the way Orlando gets him shooter defense Jamal Mosley hello by the way could tape his call well pope and jaylin sucks in the same back court man i'm gonna show you right now

[00:51:21] if I go if I am an NBA guard and I'm going to Orlando now I know Orlando is not New York Chicago and warlands Atlanta Houston or LA. Warlander got some stuff going on for them

[00:51:41] I'm not taking it any night life when I go to Orlando if I'm an NBA guard now because I got to see jaylin sucks and contagious call well quote man

[00:51:53] no I gotta get sleep I gotta do extra fail steady what you want to go do? No I'm not doing that I ain't got time so no but yeah KCP leaves Denver so that's another loss for Denver

[00:52:10] but Orlando gets a veteran piece of veteran piece that has won two championships by the way with the lakers and with the Denver nuggets and Paula Ben Carroll Franz Wagner jaylin sucks this just helps this team this is what I think they wanted Joe Engels to be

[00:52:35] but he didn't have enough in the tank to really provide it on the court but to have on court leadership like contabies call well pope for that young Orlando team I believe it they could have paid them 30 million and no don't pay on 30 million a year

[00:52:56] but the 22 that you paid them I believe is well worth it every time that's my spiel on Calvin Booth KCP and now let's get to Eric Gordon signing with the 76ers the pretty cursor to the PG-13 situation that's about to happen as well

[00:53:22] so veteran went along Eric Gordon that's a good pick up he'll like being in Philadelphia being within bead and it called George Githner down you have a bunch of dudes that can create offense for Eric Gordon he can chill

[00:53:41] and play a little defense he won't get taxed on either end just a good vet to have now here's the one that a lot of people thought should happen this is the one that will

[00:53:54] sugar their reticle I think it's great and I think it's great that Chris Paul did it so Chris Paul leaves the gold state warriors the gold state warriors had his a 30 million dollar contract

[00:54:14] which was a non-guerity contract they held it the date was actually I think it was the 28th it was supposed to go off whatever and then he moved it back because they were trying to use

[00:54:32] his 30 million dollar contract as part of trade they were in on Paul George as well the the goes say warriors so they kept his contract they moved the date back where they had to

[00:54:46] make a decision on whether to guarantee these contract or to let Paul George or let Chris Paul go because they were trying to get Paul George and they tried to do some other trades and

[00:54:59] things when everything else fell through they weighed Chris Paul Chris Paul goes to say an Antonio one year 11 million dollars and listen is it awesome awesome yeah I would love to see Chris Paul six years ago when we'd but that guy is a complete maniac

[00:55:29] yes he's lost the stuff yes he's Andrew you're grown but any knowledge any jewel he can drop to Victor when by yama is a win we are looking at development here guys that is it and Victor is the most important thing it doesn't matter all other stuff

[00:55:55] and it's a Larry Victor most important thing and also one of most cerebral guards in the lead Chris Paul hothead talks a lot of trash does not lot trash talks now gets into it what

[00:56:13] the rest whatever but good do gonna help win we out a lot I like it also he's going to help out stuff on castle too because members stuff on castles management was saying that they want to

[00:56:29] handle with your point guard all this other there's now this one hurt the lakers because little bad drop on this the bronze hands came out put it out in the media had his little

[00:56:43] LeBron media insert you know his inserted people in there he got the rhetoric out there that he was willing to sign for less money if they got the right type of reagent to sign for the

[00:57:00] venture minimal he would take a $20 million pay cut and help out the lakers so they could build a roster that could challenge for western conference contingent one of guys on this list with young is valentunus I thought about but young is valentunus I know what the Washington

[00:57:26] Wizards for three years thirty million dollars thirty million three years that's under the mid level exception the mid level exception is going to be somewhere in around 13.8 million now young is valentunus I think is going to start for the Washington Wizards

[00:57:54] he's going to provide protection for Alex saw the second overall taken the draft and maybe he was just not going to get the starting row with the lakers which probably wasn't because AD must start at

[00:58:10] center because LeBron is a power forward now and you can have your power forward going small forward at 40 it's hard it just can't happen so valentunus I was with the Wizards I like to

[00:58:28] deal I like veteran wait young big show him the world yes Alex are can do a lot type different things than Jonas valentunus but there are certain things that a big guy can tell another big guy

[00:58:45] and they speak the same language and they deal with a lot of same types of physicality that they only know about so he can teach him a lot of tricks of the trade there

[00:58:58] speaking with big guys Mason plumbly the plumbly brothers just never died I think we've had 20 years of plumblies at this point it's like Mason was it there was Marshall it was a couple

[00:59:15] others I don't know plumblies is everywhere but he signed with the sons so one year 3.3 million I love it anytime the sons can get anything for almost free they gotta pick that up yeah

[00:59:32] but the good thing with Mason he provides a little passes well pretty well live guy physical president physical presence moves decently so I like it as a back up big so can't go on there

[00:59:53] oh this one hurt on a lot of levels too because it's gonna lead us into I think the last couple yep yep yeah all right so well was done so not you Marshall leaves the pelicans

[01:00:09] and he size with the Dallas Madrex for three years 27 million dollars I find this particular free agency to be very it's just interesting to me two reasons why I like Najig Marshall I think he is a really good defensive wing who can shoot the three

[01:00:37] another two way guy for Dallas keep my they just went and got Quentin Grimes from Detroit DC y'all see the vision you know see it okay so now you got Quentin Grimes and you have

[01:00:54] not a Marshall I think we might not be seeing a lot of Dante X so many more yeah but not your Marshall good pick up I think he fits a roll he's definitely gonna help with Quentin

[01:01:09] Grimes and that leaves us to our next one because I talked to some way early today and Derek Junk Jr changed agencies I think not that long ago and supposedly there was some sort of 15 day waiting period or whatever I don't know

[01:01:31] some convoluted story anyways Derek Junk Jr clutch client besides a three year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers for three years 30 million dollars okay council consolation prize I don't know what to say about the clippers

[01:01:53] I understand a while the second eight ring and how cumulative it is and how restricting it is and I understand that this team had a ton of flaws and let's see

[01:02:04] and that you needed to go all in on this particular team but there's no way that you could of course Paul George into some sort of signage rate where he would have been able to

[01:02:20] often his two is deal and then signed the extension with the other team later and then you would have got stuff back now Derek Junk Jr is a fine asset wing player his she's a three I'm still

[01:02:37] skeptical it the three is authentic but we'll see yeah I'm really confused about what the clippers are doing but I understand that they had to do something right they had to do something

[01:02:54] and I guess this is what they decided to do all right the last one in the night and this is when I said it's time to shut it down for the night because nothing else is going

[01:03:06] happen after this nothing possibly can happen after this and yes no hold on it is happening yep hold on ladies and gentlemen live or front runner podcast collective at approximately 1235 AM Western Pacific Standard Time I would like to tell you that Paul George has signed a four

[01:03:35] year 212 million dollar contract with the Philadelphia 76ers he is to be joined by Joel L. M. B. and Tyre's Maxi to in pursuit of the NBA championship it is official Paul George is no longer

[01:03:53] quicker he is a Philadelphia 76er we waited all this time for this ladies and gentlemen welcome to free agent frenzy at 12 30 in the morning Paul George sizes contract with the Philadelphia 76ers and we have it Kelly Ugra also signed with them two years

[01:04:23] for 16.3 let's get into this Paul George thing right now okay I talked to you about why he might live on the side of the clippers let me give you the Philadelphia side Philadelphia was not leaving this reagent period without a superstar a bonfire superstore

[01:04:53] if it wasn't Paul George they were gonna go hard after the b i if it wasn't b i it was going to be somebody else they were not going to stop into they used that money that they had freed up

[01:05:06] they promised Joe L in the del mory stuck to his row work now here's the funny part who was the teammate of Paul George James Harton what did James Harton called Del Mory

[01:05:24] when he walked out the door he called him a liar he called him a snake you said I'll never do business with that man again blah blah blah now hey James just a little FYI my my my guy

[01:05:38] Del Mory was in Houston when you decided that you wouldn't want to be there no more you know all saying like we all know actually I think you had just let but you went to strip clubs

[01:05:57] and all kinds of other stuff and listen man whatever you do with your extra correct activities on you dog I don't care but don't talk to me about this process snake this process

[01:06:09] snake you didn't get your money you didn't get this you didn't get that did you treat the people of Houston fairly now you didn't did you treat the people of Brooklyn fairly now you didn't

[01:06:24] now I'll give you what you did in Philadelphia 100% I'll give it to you I think you were good soldier I think you went out there did you know that at work point did you think that the the the

[01:06:39] tables weren't going to be turned on you oh you thought you was just gonna run a rush out over every organization right and then when something does and go your way you don't go your way you decide that this is bad person

[01:06:59] Del Mory's a lot of things Del Mory's an asshole if he is he's pretty like barebones this is it I will sell my mom to get a star star's win and a little we shoot three

[01:07:14] knees we get layups if you shoot in the mid range your lane Del Mory is a unapologetic right number cruncher you'll tell you and when the when the dollar's done for a sense we gotta go I find it funny that Paul George who was with the clippers

[01:07:39] who had James Harden a while while in it around he said I'm looking at this situation you don't think Paul George and James Harden didn't go to a bar have a couple conversations about Mr. Del Mory

[01:08:00] you don't think Paul George asked James Harden what happened man we went down we're really went down so Paul George knew all about what went down supposedly and still to it $212 million from this man that tells you he wanted out of LA

[01:08:20] he was sick of he was sick of the shit he was sick of collide and the mystery like takeoffs and the not contacting the team and all these things that we heard about collide when did you think Paul George a reasonable person would go sick there and go

[01:08:39] hey man you know what this is not for me anymore I don't want to do this and now he's in Philadelphia he called the clippers bluff the case say hey I pulled my

[01:08:49] my chips in the middle of the table you put your chips in the middle of the table you turn your cards over and I'll turn mine over and I got you I got a full house and he showed it

[01:09:00] he got all four years he got maximum money congratulations to Paul George congratulations to Del Mory and congratulations to Philadelphia fanbase who does deserves this I asked Philadelphia fans before the playoff started was it worth it for mb to come back and play in a playoff series knowing

[01:09:26] that he had or had torn his money this gives him whatever the case might be I still asked that same question because you got us got Paul George and a fully healthy JLM bead

[01:09:40] I really wish you wouldn't have come back for the playoff still to this day I still wish he didn't come back for the playoffs but this is an happy day for Philadelphia's Paul George is a 76er and now you have Tyre's and Maxie JLM bead and Paul George
