[00:00:11] It's Monday, you know what time it is. Front Runner Podcast Collective is back on the air. I am your humble host Vince and I want to just tell you guys that we have a lot to talk about today.
[00:00:24] We there's some news breaking with the Dan Hurley situation staying at UConn and basically rejecting the Lakers and where does this leave the Lakers? We also have the
[00:00:38] observations from game two of last night's NBA Finals game and then we'll hit a couple news and notes on the way out. But before we get to all of that, we talk about socials here. But a personal note before we get to the socials.
[00:00:55] I get on this podcast every week and I talk about that we're building a community. We're trying to get people to comment on the YouTube page. We talked about downloading the podcast and telling your friends about it and
[00:01:12] I can't thank all of you enough. We are seeing record numbers, personal records for this podcast. We're gonna probably have our greatest month ever. We're going to have over a thousand downloads. It looks like we are over like I think we're like at
[00:01:35] 550 right now, which is cool. So thank you to everybody out there who understands the mantra. Be a friend and tell a friend. Be a friend to this podcast and tell them all about it that we talk hoops here
[00:01:53] and we try to talk about it in the purest way, but also entertain and inform you. Tell people about the YouTube page. Frontrunner podcast collective, you know that it's a breakdown, a little snippet of the podcast. So if you're trying to get indoctrinated to the podcast,
[00:02:11] here's a way to catch up and see how we grown over the year. And then the other thing is to follow us on X. So at frontrunnerpc for me and also at Bfunch FRPC. That's my super producer and we are
[00:02:30] excited about all the great things that are happening. And again, thank you for your support. We cannot do this without you. Thank you so much. So let's get to the actual hoops of it all right because that's what you're here for.
[00:02:46] I've been talking about on this podcast that I believe that JJ Reddick was a frontrunner to the Laker job. Now a report came out late last week and we talked about it on Friday that
[00:02:59] UConn's Dan Hurley was going to meet with the Lakers and I said at the time they are meeting as we speak. Comes out today that Dan Hurley has rejected the Lakers offer. The offer of six years 70 million dollars.
[00:03:20] Now the first thing that I want to say about that report is that I believe that it was more and what I mean by that is that there were incentives and things of that nature and I think that it could reach in upwards of close to 90 if
[00:03:37] I'm not mistaken. All this will come out within the next week or so. Now a couple things. Let's talk about Dan Hurley a little bit. Dan Hurley is from a legendary family. Actually Adrian Wojnowski
[00:03:53] who broke the news about Dan actually visiting LA. Adrian Wojnowski wrote a book on Dan Hurley's dad. So it's one of those situations where he was locked into what all was going on and this is somebody that the Lakers had some interest in and
[00:04:14] had put some feelers out there. There were some mutual friends that kind of connected the situation. It came about very quickly. I'm not saying that their interest in him came about very quickly. I'm talking about him getting on a plane Dan Hurley and coming out to Los Angeles.
[00:04:32] Now I'm gonna say two or three things right here and as a Laker fan, but also as somebody who tries to be objective we're gonna talk about what might have happened in this interview process. Let's give you a little
[00:04:50] context on who Dan Hurley is. I told you that his dad is a famous high school basketball coach. He coached his brother Bobby Hurley who played at Duke. Obviously got hurt and I think it was a motorcycle accident. Never was the same.
[00:05:08] Now as a coach at Arizona State just a basketball lifer, gym rat dude, X's and O's steals things from like the Turkish League to implement in his offensive schemes at UConn. He's an absolute demon when it comes to
[00:05:29] trying to strategize the game and give his team the most optimal way to win. Now here's the thing. Dan Hurley at UConn was two well his overall numbers. He's 292 and 163 which gives him a 64% winning percentage. He's a guy who has control at UConn.
[00:05:53] They won two national championship back-to-back. Hurley is getting his pick of five-star recruits. His NIL collective is flourishing and it just got better because now that he's turned down the Laker job it's like yo, we need to bump up
[00:06:09] to give him what he needs to stay right to stay here to continue to build this program because I think Dan Hurley will have his eyes on Westwood and what I mean by that is to take down the legend the wizard of Westwood our beloved John Wooden.
[00:06:32] Okay, so he has a chance to do something like that at UConn if he can build it right and with this stroke now that he has turned down the Laker job and
[00:06:43] staying at UConn the amount of money that's about to come into that place is about to be ridiculous. Now let's get to what Dan Hurley might have asked when he came to this interview and I think these are important questions.
[00:07:03] Anytime you get in in front of somebody at this kind of high level you're interviewing the person as well as they're interviewing you. Now, obviously they have a little more you know power in this dynamic, but you have some power too.
[00:07:20] Keep in mind he has a real good situation at UConn. He's an East Coast guy close to his dad who's aging. You walk in and you might have a couple questions, right? And I am sure that Dan Hurley asked three specific questions.
[00:07:40] What has gone on the last decade with your coaching decisions? Right, that's the first question because over the last 13 years the Lakers have had six head coaches. When you see numbers like that, that's for a franchise that's doesn't have a strong foundation.
[00:08:00] Okay, there's no way to sugarcoat that Laker fans. I understand that there's been displeasure with hands rotations and who's in the lineup or who's out of the lineup. We were displeased with Vogel's offensive
[00:08:16] strategies and things of that nature and he was a defensive coach and we thought he was too rigid or what have you. It's just gonna cavalcade of stuff and at some point you got to start making some real change.
[00:08:33] The one thing that we did hear coming going into the meeting is that the Lakers would like to take the Laker brand which you know, I know there's gonna be some people out there salty
[00:08:46] but it is what it is. The Lakers have a real great brand in the NBA, one of the high profile teams in the league. Now you might hate it. I understand that but for us Laker fans
[00:09:01] we know what time it is. So you ask that question. You got to get an answer. Now I'm not gonna talk about the answer because I mean the proof is in the pudding. You see what's going on.
[00:09:11] Now the second question that you might ask if you are Dan Hurley is well what's your vision of this team? And I can see Rob Palinka and Jeannie Buss saying I'm glad you asked. Well, we have a 39 year old superstar who will be 40 years of age when
[00:09:35] in the middle of the season he is a brilliant basketball player incredibly intelligent about the game, the business and the industry as a whole. He will work with you as a partner, but he will be wary of all tactics and
[00:09:53] game planning and coaching decisions that you have because of his mind. So it'll be your best interest to really collab with him. Okay so that's the first thing that might be out of Dan Hurley's comfort zone a little bit. Now the second thing you also have his son
[00:10:13] who we might have to draft because we have a good situation with Clutch. Now I'm not saying that that is the case. I'm just saying that the Lakers have always done what? The Lakers have always taken care of their stars.
[00:10:31] Magic they took care of. They took care of Kobe. Why do we think LeBron is so different? If you look at the relationship between Jeannie and LeBron as far as when they are amongst one another it is really like a close relationship and I think
[00:10:51] Jeannie has allowed LeBron to be able to do the things that he wanted to do post-career and kind of accelerate it during the career. Now Laker fans don't want to hear all that shit. Let's just be real. Okay
[00:11:07] So you got that he might want to bring his son into it per Jeannie's blessing per Ra's blessing right? Also, we have a center in AD who is a all NBA
[00:11:22] caliber center but is reluctant to play the position due to the miles that it puts on his body. So we also have that. We have that dynamic going on with LeBron.
[00:11:33] Then the other thing is is that we can't give you full autonomy until LeBron and AD are gone and then once they're gone we will ask you to rebuild our dynasty as one of the shining pillars of this
[00:11:48] NBA community. I don't know if six years 70 million was enough for that to tell you the truth. Now, I'm not saying the Lakers are cheap. That is not what I'm talking about. I just think what you're asking is a lot. Now You want to talk about
[00:12:06] why all this is happening? Everybody knows. LeBron is one of the greatest athletes we've seen right? He is wherever you rank him. He's definitely gonna be top three top four. Right at this point, he's gonna be top three top four
[00:12:25] Irregardless to whoever's list yawn. It's just disrespectful not to have him on it. With all that being said, is it realistic or is it even palatable to Laker fans to understand like we gotta go ahead and
[00:12:41] We gotta cow down to you at this point of your career to make sure we get you to stay so our team can be in the plant. Nah Nah, dawg. That ain't what we signed up for. Here's the deal. LeBron, you'll never be loved like Kobe, bro.
[00:13:02] I'm gonna just break it down to you right now. Here in this city, the La La, what we call the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California You will never be loved like Kobe Bryant. That is clear. But You want to ingratiate yourself to the fans, bro?
[00:13:24] Lock in to whomever the coach is gonna be at this point. Lock in. Whatever. Yeah, collab. You know make solid points like you can. Nobody's telling you to be less intelligent.
[00:13:40] Nobody's telling you to shut up and dribble. But what I'm telling you to do is I need you to be all in on this dude. Push him, yeah, but let him push you too. One, the other thing is this.
[00:13:55] There's gonna have to be some accountability on who's gonna be what and where and what I'm talking about is whatever Lakers do this year, whoever the coach is going to be, whatever the iteration of the Lakers is going to be next year
[00:14:12] LeBron needs to make sure that he is in a secondary role. Whoever is in that top role, whether it's AD or player ever whoever they get LeBron, you need to be in a secondary role not because you are not a great player
[00:14:27] but because we want to make sure you are good for the playoff push. One, two, we also need to get the ball moving. Space, pace, space, ball movement. Those are the things we're looking for.
[00:14:48] The teams that are successful now are the teams that have multiple guys who can initiate offense. It can't be our 39 year old scoring, all-time scoring leader. It can't be that guy. So again it's time to look in the mirror and decide on what you want to be.
[00:15:14] Now as Lakers fans, here's the thing. I'm gonna tell you right now the chances of those type of things happening are Slim and Nutt and I think Slim left town probably about two years two three years ago packed her bags and she ain't never coming back.
[00:15:36] So we are stuck with LeBron James at 39 years of age who will be 40 this year. We have an owner who says we are devoted to our stars. We will treat them as such until the end of their tenure. And we have a
[00:15:55] management group that is excellent at what they do. We have a group that has a lot of influence on this particular player personnel guy with the Lakers, Rob Kalinka. And I'm gonna tell you right now irregardless to what happens if those things don't change
[00:16:17] it doesn't matter. We gonna be a play-in team. So yes, Dan Hurley wasn't coming here. Yes, Dan Hurley looked at this team and said, oh no player I can't do this. I'm giving way too much up.
[00:16:38] I have a good good good situation where I'm at so I'm gonna have to say this is a hard no for me, right? It's a hard no. Now where oh where does this leave the Lakers? I am still on record that JJ Reddick has interest in this job.
[00:17:03] JJ Reddick would like to coach LeBron James and I believe that whoever the Lakers get I've heard names like J. Wright the ex Villanova coach who said he retired from basketball coaching.
[00:17:19] I think he saw the writing on the wall with this NIL situation in college and said no, I don't want to do this anymore. So I don't know if he wants to placate LeBron James in the pros either so we'll see how that goes.
[00:17:35] My whole thing now is whoever you turn to if it's JJ go all-in on JJ have LeBron James go all-in on JJ most importantly have Anthony Davis
[00:17:49] go in all-in on JJ. If that's your guy, if you're putting all your your eggs in the basket and that's gonna be your dude one make sure you build a quality staff around him, but give him one guy. Give him one guy that he trusts that he
[00:18:11] somehow whatever he's just attached to on his staff so he feels like he has somebody that's always pulling on the same side of rope and then you need to talk to your players and see who's in and who's out.
[00:18:28] Whoever's out we gotta get them out of here and we need the players who want to be here and want to build something the right way. Because you could still be competitive in the West. I don't think the Lakers are so far off.
[00:18:47] Their degree of difficulty is a lot higher than everybody else and I'll tell you why because they're old. They're old. Your two stars are old. Look at OKC look at I mean Lucas Young Kyrie's a little bit older but the average age between them was like 28. All right
[00:19:11] you got Shay and Chet and J-Dub in OKC. You got all these teams that are young and Anthony Edwards is super young. Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, 26-27 years of age. Jalen Brunson's young. All these dudes are young and there's more coming. There's more. Zion wasn't healthy.
[00:19:48] What would the Philadelphia 76ers would have looked like with a complete year of jaw and lung injury? They're never going to get that by the way. But what I'm saying at least relative health right? Keep singing that same song but
[00:20:10] it's one of those things where the Lakers have to be concise about how they build their team how they construct their team this year and if they get the proper role players and they get the proper third scoring option that they need who is a ball handler
[00:20:26] that LeBron will allow the ball to be handled other than him. We got to be we got to be real about what's going on. So there's a lot that goes on with the Lakers
[00:20:42] every single year and every single year we are uh have these lofty expectations of what they should be. Be real with what you're looking at. How lofty should your expectations be when your number one guy is 39 going to be 40 within the year?
[00:21:01] Within the season and your two guy is a is a all world center who wants to play power forward with no jump shot. All right. You know, I mean, I'm sorry, but it had to be done and you know very very disappointing but it was uh
[00:21:29] It was one of those things that I couldn't believe I couldn't believe we were sitting here really thinking about it really like this was a real thing like that dude was gonna leave UConn. He was just gonna leave and just this is what it was going to be
[00:21:47] All right all right, we turn the page and literally and figuratively and uh Again Laker fans, you know what if you don't like what I said, please hit me up on twitter at frontrunnerpc. I ain't hard to find
[00:22:03] I'm sure this will go up too on youtube. So comment, you know, whatever Now let's get to the finals There's a lot to get to I have notes on it Uh, i'll talk about the notes as we go along
[00:22:19] uh, the first thing I want to talk about is Like right before or like the night before luca came up questionable in the game And it was like a myriad of injuries. It was it was knee There was like an ankle and there was a thoracic contusion
[00:22:38] Okay, so there's something wrong with the rib area. I think might have took a sharp elbow or something and uh He was questionable And I think at the point of time of that podcast I said there's no way in hell he's missing this game And he didn't
[00:22:56] He came out really aggressive in the first quarter um, and we're gonna talk about all of it in a second, but He was uh, really active. He was engaged. He was doing all the lucca things that you would expect him to do
[00:23:11] and um, he had them in the game and really competitive and uh We'll get to others in a second now mind you as this is going on and as the game is starting to progress and i'm taking notes
[00:23:25] The celtics are one of nine from three in the first quarter Lea uh lucca and kairi lead the mouse with 21 points combined At the end of the first quarter The mouse scored 28 celtics had 25 porzingis came in at his usual spot about um Seven like with seven minutes ago
[00:23:51] Score eight points two rebounds and had one block I will tell you when porzingis is on the court And we'll get to what happened later. But when porzingis is on the court Their offense and their defense just looks like supercharged the celtics and it looks like
[00:24:12] That dallas has an incredible difficulty On getting good looks at the basket with porzingis and then all that's around him The tatum the browns the you know The darah white which we need to get to and the drew holidays So at the end of first quarter 28 25 maps
[00:24:34] I will also say that pj washington looked like he was more engaged they gave him more opportunity to use the ball and um We talked about that in friday's pod as well Now we move to the second quarter 9 29 left
[00:24:52] Tatum had a nice drive and scoot layup. It's his first points of the game That's significant because we're going to talk about observations afterwards um JJ reddick made a great point about the celtics are one of seven This is around the 9 29 mark of the second quarter
[00:25:13] That they are one of seven of open three. So wide open threes. They are one of seven So they're not having a great shooting performance as we go along Uh six minute mark There's a 13 to 6 run by The celtics Um There's a bad
[00:25:37] Turnover by derrick jones jr. A hoop and one and now Dallas Is up by two at this point tatum is one of eight Which is not great The mounds are now down by three points. It's 54 51 and a half Donchus has scored 23 points now keep that in mind
[00:26:05] hold that because There's a familiar pattern that's about to unfurl here He's 23 points 9 at 13 is shooting 3 of 6 from 3 Holiday has gone off holiday has 17 points. He has 79 field goals Uh, both teams are shooting like absolute garbage from three point land at this point Four or 13
[00:26:31] from three was dallas and The celtics were three of 15, which is astounding 20 percent but both teams shot 49 percent from the field overall And this is where the big difference was The celtics was 13 of 13 from free throws The mavericks were five of 11 There's your league basically right there so
[00:27:00] That's the first half Uh tatum got off to a slow start again. We moved to the third quarter um Oh, I love this. This was at the 10 30 mark This is The drew holiday crash of the boards. I think tatum threw up the three-pointer and
[00:27:20] Drew holiday is in the sitting in the short corner He sees the ball goes up as soon as the ball leaves Tatum's hand He he goes right to the rim ball comes off the rim. He gets a rebound makes the pass it's an and one and
[00:27:39] It's it's amazing. You know, it's just amazing It's those little things those little plays those little those extra possession obviously that you get Are are just critical in these type of games now The celtics at 7 29 and third quarter finally blitz luka because he's just going off
[00:28:00] with drew and horford um There's a great pocket pass by luka to lively for an emphatic dunk He basically is a backscratcher. He takes it two hands scratches his back with it jams it um and
[00:28:17] At that point we're sitting there going like damn this is this is about to happen again But it's 77 67 at that point The luka passed to exum Let's talk about that real quick the luka passed to exum now. This is like 224 in the in the third quarter. He
[00:28:38] He gets into the lane He is surrounded by guys There's no way he saw exum. He just knew where he was Okay. Now jj radick says something in the broadcast. He said that
[00:28:53] That he was court mapping and basically what court mapping is is that obviously there's sets in the mba There's you know places that shooters are supposed to be and you're supposed to Feel the void of a driver
[00:29:08] Right now luka came out the corner, but the floor usually adjusts. So if he is shooting in From the corner and gets into the lane Your players are supposed to move around the perimeter as such Now dante exum gets into his spot, which is above the break three
[00:29:29] Luka throws a pass that he definitely did not see dante exum being there But he knew exactly where he was and this pass bounce pass boom right in the pocket He shot it went in it didn't touch net nothing. This ain't in touch crap um
[00:29:45] And uh, you know, it's just a brilliance of luka who who he is what he can do in a game I just wanted to point that out because um Even in defeat you're seeing just brilliant plays by luka and
[00:30:04] This is the stuff that we're not seeing out of tatum now. I will get to tatum in a second Again Pritchard hits a a back breaking three at the end of the third quarter. This dude hit a shot right inside
[00:30:16] Mid court and it banked in and the in the sees are up 83 to 74 at the end of the third quarter At this point in time luka donjes has 29 points. He's 11 and 15 He has seven rebounds his 10 assists. He's four seven from three He's 13
[00:30:34] Holiday has 23 points and eight rebounds at this point now What happens from there? Right games close. We always talk about are the celtics going to be able to hold on two games at the end um, do are they gonna fall into traps which they did
[00:30:56] And we'll get to the fourth quarter white had a floater With about 8 56 left to go in the third makes it 90 to 79 celtics. I think we're we're pretty much done here 806 Kyrie hits a left-handed layup shrinks the lead to 90 to 83
[00:31:17] Immediately joe muzzula calls a timeout to quell the momentum Now there was a play where it looks like Porzingis gets hurt And the mouse closed lead to eight again and he just looked like he was laboring up and down the court
[00:31:38] He says he's okay, we'll have you I don't know we'll have to check it out 401 left to go in the game Holiday makes a deflection of donjes The pass is stolen by derrick white
[00:31:55] The conclusion of the play is that holiday bombs are three and then tatum follows it up with another one basically almost puts the game away Right, but luca didn't let that He didn't let that stop him Uh luca went out Confects rises
[00:32:14] Hits it and won custody to five. This is the 103 98 situation And then the derrick white block Remember they're up by five the ball Gets the Again tatum in the fourth quarter i'm gonna tell you right now. I don't know what it is
[00:32:35] He looks hesitant. He looks like he doesn't know what he wants to do He doesn't look confident i'm just putting it out there and You can say whatever you want to say. I'm not saying like he's soft whatever i'm saying that that defense for him
[00:32:51] Whatever the amoeba zone defense because what it looks like is it's a It's a regular it's a regular man-to-man defense But soon as tatum takes one foot towards the paint they have a principle where it looks like a two three zone And he doesn't know if he should
[00:33:11] Attack it get into the middle The other thing that I want to say is that tatum did not take a shot from I would say 13 to 18 13 to 8 feet That little floater zone or rise up and hit a j He was very
[00:33:32] What's the word i'm looking for here? He was not just hesitant It was it was like He was frozen that's the right word he was frozen in his tracks and that could become a problem as we move on and
[00:33:53] I don't think so because i'm going to tell you right now. Um The self picks it up 20 105 98 was the end of the game Uh luca only had nine points in the second half Anytime that luca gets going drew holiday is there
[00:34:15] He does not like drew holiday guarding him I don't know what to tell everybody This man hates to see drew holiday on him. He just does not care for it at all and uh He is um, they usually save him For like the second half
[00:34:36] It's like you're gonna play kairi He gave kairi the business He was uh, he was tough on um He was tough On derek jones jr. I think for a drive as well so
[00:34:53] It was amazing to see this game and my thoughts after the game is this is that we talked about the jason tatum buffer insurance And it's all come to fruition and i'm not saying it in a rude way Listen, they have a great team You know
[00:35:11] People would kill to have the fourth starter that they do in derrick white and the fifth starter that they do In drew holiday and this is no disrespect to them. It's just what it is and they signed on for it, too Right. It's like Drew holiday has done
[00:35:29] All he's really ever needed to do in the nba. He's won a finals He's been an all-star He's made a lot of money at this point he planned for the love of the game And Your ego doesn't get in the way when you're not the guy
[00:35:50] And those guys just fit perfectly together They back each other up and what I mean by that is defensively Their rotations are so tight on defense. It is amazing Oh lucas coming in quick and low. Oh, i'll just slide off I saw it a lot
[00:36:08] You know al horford I saw j you know, they had jaylen brown on them a lot in the first half just hounding him And then oh kp is on him
[00:36:19] Fine. No problem. And then jaylen would fight to get back into the play and then kp would take off towards his guy They really just they really just play for one another and you can just see it It's a great situation. Jason tatum doesn't have to be great
[00:36:38] I think we've answered our question on whether he can get it up to where donchich is In that like high level that mount ellipis of the top four that we're looking at I I just don't know if that gear is there for him and that's okay because
[00:36:57] The team insulated him. It's okay Jaylen brown is a alpha. He wants it. You can tell that he wants it You know, he goes to the basket with just ruthless aggression He You know, he takes the you know, some of the hardest defensive challenges on the squad
[00:37:18] He's just built that way and tatum is a really great player And I mean that he's a really great player. He has a lot of skills. He can pass the ball He has great vision his size helps him with that
[00:37:32] He's athletic so he can be in the air and make adjustments at the end to do a layup. He's long He just doesn't finish great And that mid-range game has left him and I don't know if it's coming back so Can
[00:37:54] Dallas do anything different? Well, there's there's two things that we need to talk about one Kyrie needs to play better Kyrie doesn't play better. They're not gonna win Kyrie is not scoring 20 plus points a game Getting like eight eight dimes. They're not gonna win
[00:38:14] Luke is doing all he can he scored 32 points. Yeah damn there had a triple double You know, yeah triple double 32 points, you know And what are we doing with him? I mean There's nothing more he can do They are
[00:38:34] Attacking him on defense. So they're trying to tire him out. They're pulling him up in pick and roll You can talk about trying to hide him all you want. They are going to search him out
[00:38:44] They are going to find him and they are going to bring him up in pick and roll And they are going to make his life hell on the defensive side of the ball All to tire him out On the offensive side and we've seen it in two games
[00:39:02] That dude is getting in pick and roll action And they're gonna say listen bro, you can have all the points you want in the first half But when it comes to time to win
[00:39:13] Your ass is going to be dead tired and we are going to cruise to victory Boston shot like like absolute garbage in this game. They would tell you that Tatum didn't play his best Jalen Brown didn't play his best. Here's the problem Dallas Mavic fans and
[00:39:35] I I love Luca. I love Kyrie. I love the the The symmetry between them too. I love it, but you just don't have enough talent This was the game to win They shot awful from three
[00:39:53] You know, I think they shot like 33 percent or something like less less than that. I think they shot like 25 percent from three It's terrible Like nine of 36 is not good Okay Now Joe Mozilla will tell you the attempts are good So and the shots will come right?
[00:40:13] So they shot terribly you didn't get a great game from Jason Tatum. You didn't get a great game from Jalen Brown either It was a good game But it wasn't a great Jason Jalen Brown game And they're up to oh
[00:40:29] So you got them on their bad shooting night their bad three-point shooting night you got a Subpar Jason Tatum game. You got a okay above average Jalen Brown game, but who torches you? Drew Holliday Christoph Porzingis Derrick White We got Peyton Pritchard hitting half court threes
[00:40:56] What the hell is going on right now? You guys are seeing ghosts there's there's too many of them right And unfortunately, that's where they are I do believe that Luca and Kyrie are talented enough to To get a game in Dallas
[00:41:15] I do think they're talented enough or the Celtics will kind of take their foot off the off the Gas and give them a second game But I do believe that the Celtics are gonna win this series in six I had it in seven
[00:41:32] Well, I think in six this is over and No shade to Dallas you played your ass off in this uh postseason You you learned a lot, right? Derrick Lively is only going to get better from here
[00:41:49] Daniel Gafford is still young that combination is good to go for a while Can you do something with your Wing rotation. Is there any anything you can do? Is there any addition you can add? Question, you know for you guys, but at the end of the day, uh
[00:42:15] Luca Can't do it by itself And if you don't get extra ordinary Extraordinary, uh Kyrie Irving. This is a absolute wrap Okay, the one thing I want to do before we get up out of here Is this I want to talk about Uh, it looks like
[00:42:36] James Borrego is getting inching closer and closer to the Cleveland job. I just want to check um One report here to make sure we hadn't got news during the podcast um Da da da da
[00:42:52] So far. Oh, we're gonna talk about that too. That's crazy. I can't believe that um And we'll go talk about some of these rooms, too Okay. Yeah, it looks like James Borrego looks like he's the front runner for the cleveland cavalier's job. So another
[00:43:10] Hire off the board for the lakers The other thing that we want to talk about is uh ex Head coach of the los angeles lakers darvin ham will be joining dog rivers In milwaukee as an assistant coach to uh, the dog river. So good to see
[00:43:28] Our guy darvin ham land on his feet I'm sure laker fans out there aren't really excited to see him land on his feet But i'm excited to see darvin ham land on his feet um
[00:43:42] Which is really funny because I know somebody who said talk to him like I want to say a month ago And he said do it on taking the year off all of a sudden That phone rang
[00:43:54] And you know when we start talking dollars and it's making sense, you know what's happening You know what time it is. We getting that dore Me During me All right so Uh, the other thing. Oh, yeah, I want to talk about this before we go
[00:44:15] uh atlanta and atlanta has decided That they're going to make clint cackella and deandre hunter available Who is it per brett sigel? So that's our guy gretsegal mba reporter So atlanta is looking to start to kind of break this up um
[00:44:40] I talked about in a previous podcast because we did a front runner front office focus on atlanta Please if you are new to the podcast first of all if you are new Thank you so much for being here Thank you for downloading the podcast
[00:44:58] Be a friend and tell a friend about the podcast to all of your neighbors friends postmen post women your Clerks at the drugstore your uh uber driver Tell them all about front runner podcast collective but there was something in regards to
[00:45:20] atlanta and who they should trade and who they should keep and whatever now Everybody's very very interested in dajonte murray The the kind of second point guard in atlanta. We understand that trades the guy But a lot of people seem to be enamored with his length of contract
[00:45:41] The amount of the contract and they believe that he's an overall better player Now maybe not as dynamic as trey but fitting into a system fitting into a role He would be easier to assimilate than trey young Now the reports on trey young are this This
[00:46:03] Not a lot of feelers out there we talked about this I reported this before But i'm not reporting anything. This is just look at your national news. Look at woj look at Who uh who hype look at all these places who rumors all these things? other podcasters
[00:46:21] Just the the temperature around trey young at this present time is not great but As teams start to look at their squads and as teams start to reevaluate and say damn we really need some scoring Can we? Can we get him in and build enough defense around him?
[00:46:47] To allow this to work There are teams out there That are going to talk themselves into this I don't think the lakers will be one of them But look for the heat Look for the heat To look at this I think this is something
[00:47:12] That would energize that fan base give them a legitimate score from the outside Um, and here's the thing if trey goes to miami Pat riley gonna definitely tell him to get off ball Our guy gonna get off ball Okay, that's what's gonna happen
[00:47:35] And uh, it's going to be excellent in in every way possible and I cannot wait To see it Okay, uh with that being said, I think we're done here again. I want to reiterate The amount of downloads that i'm seeing right now are Personally historic
