[00:00:00] It's Friday, you know what time it is, Front Runner Podcast Collective is back on the air.

[00:00:18] I am your humble host Vince and I am pleased to be here.

[00:00:24] First and foremost let's go ahead and get the socials and YouTube out of the way.

[00:00:30] We got X, Twitter, Front Runner PC, the YouTube page blowing up, doing real well, excited

[00:00:42] about that.

[00:00:43] The Dallas Maverick fans have really come in there and made it real special so we have

[00:00:48] really enjoyed that.

[00:00:50] So that's the Front Runner Podcast Collective, make sure you are subscribing, commenting,

[00:00:58] rating, reviewing, all those sorts of things.

[00:01:02] And if you're new to the podcast welcome, we're about to have some fun.

[00:01:06] It is Friday and the first thing that I want to talk about is that we have made it.

[00:01:12] This is the third pod this week.

[00:01:14] So if you have been on this journey with us, if you are my day ones, it has been

[00:01:20] a long time coming but we have made it.

[00:01:23] We have made it to the third day and I am happy about that.

[00:01:28] With all that being said, we are going to talk about the games last night.

[00:01:33] We'll kind of look at some of the stuff that is going to happen or what we kind

[00:01:38] of think is going to happen over the weekend and I have a treat for you at

[00:01:43] the end.

[00:01:44] I don't want to give it away right now but I will talk about it at the end and

[00:01:50] then we'll go from there.

[00:01:51] But let's get into these games.

[00:01:55] And what I want to start off with is I still believe what I meant about Joel

[00:02:03] Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.

[00:02:08] It doesn't change the point that what he did last night against the Knicks

[00:02:16] and creating this incredible moment and the Knicks and the 76ers are in a war

[00:02:24] now in this series.

[00:02:27] This to me is truly like a rocky movie and bear with me, both Knicks

[00:02:34] fans and 76ers fans and I think you'll like where I'm going with this.

[00:02:39] I think the 76ers are actually Apollo Creed.

[00:02:43] You know, broken ribs but he still wants to sit there and war.

[00:02:47] He wants to war with Rocky.

[00:02:50] Of all people, why would you want to war with a dude that's just throwing

[00:02:54] like vicious, unholy, ungodly hooks to your body?

[00:03:02] You know, and his corner man is begging him to get on his bicycle, right?

[00:03:08] So Embiid to me with just throwing absolute haymakers last night, he was a complete stud.

[00:03:17] If anybody ever questioned that man being an MVP last year, the questions are gone.

[00:03:25] I actually think now if there were any questions about what Joel Embiid is in the

[00:03:32] playoffs, this answers it.

[00:03:37] I know one game doesn't make everything.

[00:03:41] I know, but given all the circumstances, given all of what this guy has gone through

[00:03:46] throughout his career, remember he is the process.

[00:03:52] This was the start of the process.

[00:03:54] This guy, in this basically two years, has battled injuries throughout his career

[00:04:01] so far.

[00:04:03] Multiple knee injuries, concussions, orbital fractures, like multiple of those.

[00:04:13] Then to find out that he's struggling with Bell's Posse because of some interaction

[00:04:19] that he had with one of the New York Knicks players and what have you.

[00:04:27] So I mean, honestly this dude has gone through hell to play.

[00:04:33] And again, the stance I've kept, I'm not going to say it anymore, but let's just

[00:04:39] talk about what he is doing.

[00:04:41] Let's talk about what's going on right now, right?

[00:04:43] So he's got 50 points in this game.

[00:04:47] They needed every last one of them.

[00:04:49] He was brilliant.

[00:04:52] He knew when the team needed him.

[00:04:55] He was aggressive.

[00:04:57] He got Hardenstein in foul trouble.

[00:05:00] He was 5 of 7 from beyond the arc and then Maxey chipped in with 25 points, 7 assists,

[00:05:07] and 2 steals.

[00:05:09] Now Embiid did move better in this game.

[00:05:11] I was really impressed by that.

[00:05:16] I was cautiously optimistic about what the returns are going to be for the series

[00:05:25] on out for Joel Embiid.

[00:05:27] If this is what it's going to start to look like, you know, better for the 76ers

[00:05:34] chances in trying to do something in this series.

[00:05:38] The other thing that we need to talk about is the defense and the length that they

[00:05:41] put that the 6s deployed on Jalen Brunson.

[00:05:46] Kelly Oogray Jr. and Nicholas Batoon.

[00:05:50] Nicholas Batoon who is 6'9 and then Kelly Oogray Jr.

[00:05:55] I believe he's like 6'5, 6'6 but he has a long, long wingspan.

[00:06:01] And those dudes just chased him all around the court.

[00:06:07] Even still with all of that Jalen Brunson put up 39, right?

[00:06:16] We'll get to the rest of the Knicks situation.

[00:06:18] Let's finish up with the 6ers in the win.

[00:06:22] Also there was foul trouble for Hardenstein.

[00:06:27] We knew about that with the Knicks.

[00:06:29] Also Embiid got a reprieve because Mitchell Robertson was hurt and was only able to

[00:06:37] play 12 minutes and then we have to enter Precious Achua.

[00:06:44] Now Coach Tibbs played Precious Achua throughout the year when he got traded from

[00:06:48] Toronto to the Knicks.

[00:06:50] I can tell you that Tibbs had no inclination on using Precious Achua in this series.

[00:06:59] So to see that happening was alarming but obviously in this situation and we don't

[00:07:06] know what's going on with Mitchell Robertson at this time and hopefully we'll have a

[00:07:10] better indication.

[00:07:11] Hopefully he's not gonna miss time.

[00:07:14] Hopefully this is a minor situation and he can come back.

[00:07:17] The other thing that we need to talk about is that the Knicks are just a bunch of Villanova

[00:07:26] hit the floor for lose ball zombies.

[00:07:31] That's what they are dude.

[00:07:32] I mean this team is relentless in their attack or pursuit for the basketball.

[00:07:40] Everybody boards, everybody gets in and what have you.

[00:07:45] The other thing that we need to talk about from the 76ers side even though there was

[00:07:50] a valiant effort by Joel Embiid and the rest of the team, there's one guy that

[00:07:54] I still want to talk about and that's Tobias Harris.

[00:07:59] Again another 8 point performance in a got to have it game in a city like Philadelphia

[00:08:12] coming home you knew the fans were gonna be whiling out.

[00:08:17] You knew it was gonna be absolutely bonkers in the Wells Fargo Center and yet and still

[00:08:28] Tobias Harris was damn near a no show and here's the thing I understand if you know

[00:08:38] you're like the sixth man sometimes you're on sometimes you're off.

[00:08:46] You know what they need a lot from Tobias Harris.

[00:08:50] I'm not saying he has to score 30 but like I said I think I said this in previous

[00:08:56] pods I think Tobias Harris is well capable of giving the 76ers at least 18 points

[00:09:05] a game and provide physicality on the boards and what have you.

[00:09:10] Now we're not gonna be too dour on the sixes this was an incredible night and it

[00:09:16] was an incredible night for Joel Embiid not because of just the injuries not just

[00:09:21] because of what he's gone through and everything throughout his career but the other reason

[00:09:27] is because when his team needed him the most he stepped up to the plate that 50

[00:09:33] points is indicative of what this guy has been trying to do.

[00:09:39] You can basically say for like the last four years and when we talked about Joel

[00:09:46] needed to be more serious about his nutrition and his diet because he was wearing down

[00:09:51] towards the end of the season he got in better shape.

[00:09:55] When we asked him to be a little more like hey man it's great that you're a

[00:09:59] real toolsy big man meaning that you can step out and hit a shot from the three

[00:10:05] point line but every time you do that the opposing defense is clapping and

[00:10:11] applauding your decision-making and you know we were like be more of a

[00:10:17] big man you're 7'2 and you know 300 pounds and he did that.

[00:10:21] He asserted more his dominance onto the game you start to see a bigger

[00:10:27] imprint that he left onto the game on the offensive end and on the defensive end and

[00:10:32] then the final little the little tweak to his game and we saw it this year before

[00:10:37] the injury and we talked about it on this pod so check out the archive pods.

[00:10:42] Joel on beat was also looking for teammates better he seemed to be more his

[00:10:51] anticipation for the double team and being able to find out where his reads were.

[00:10:55] It seemed a lot more smoother this year than at any other point in his career and

[00:11:02] also that was indicative of his stat line because he was damn near at about

[00:11:06] seven assists a game. So with that all being said to see him go out and have

[00:11:11] a great game like this and kind of make this series a war I think we're

[00:11:16] just I expected this to go six. I did expect the Knicks to continue to

[00:11:23] win as far as that's concerned but I was not expecting this from Joel indeed

[00:11:31] and it wasn't more of it wasn't a doubt it was more of a concern of health.

[00:11:37] It was never about ability it was just about could you be available and he

[00:11:43] has shown up and he has shown out the other thing that we kind of need to

[00:11:47] talk about with the Knicks and this is going to be the glaring hole that

[00:11:51] follows them throughout the playoffs and this could be the bugaboo if this

[00:11:55] series gets into real deep waters. Where's the other volume scorer on the

[00:12:01] Knicks besides Brunson who might die out there? What I mean by that is

[00:12:08] that Brunson does this series go six seven games yeah he might actually die

[00:12:14] he played 45 minutes in this game last night. Now he had been struggling from

[00:12:22] his shooting prior to game three he seemed to find the range a little bit

[00:12:27] he seemed to figure out what they were trying to do with them he seemed to

[00:12:31] slow down more and create different angles for himself when he did want

[00:12:37] to approach the paint in a real impactful way so it seems like he

[00:12:42] learned something throughout the first two games and now he's adjusted he also

[00:12:47] got to the free throw line 12 times he made 10 of them he scored 39 points

[00:12:53] had 13 assists it only had three turnovers in a game where he played 45

[00:12:58] minutes so another incredible hard-fought game between these two

[00:13:06] teams and these two cities and the first thing that I want to say to both cities

[00:13:13] I did pick the Knicks no shade on Philadelphia y'all know I love you you

[00:13:20] know I love Joe Allen Beat here is the problem I didn't know if he was

[00:13:25] gonna be healthy I was really concerned for him but now that we see

[00:13:30] all this I still am gonna pick the Knicks because I wonder can he repeat

[00:13:35] this because if you're not gonna get what you need from Tobias Harris and

[00:13:38] it's just gonna be the maxi and bead show and not the others aren't gonna be

[00:13:43] additive on the offensive end it's gonna be a problem it's going to be a

[00:13:49] real issue and unfortunately even though the Knicks don't have a lot of

[00:13:55] firepower but guys that they do have are like consistent I'm gonna get you

[00:14:02] 15 I'm gonna get you 18 I'm gonna get you 16 so those little paper cuts you

[00:14:10] can die by a thousand paper cuts so that's a situation to continue to

[00:14:16] monitor this game was 125 114 the Sixers take it and make that series 2

[00:14:22] 1 in favor of the Knicks we're gonna move on to Orlando and the Cavs I

[00:14:29] told the Orlando Magic fans in the last pot that you guys and just just be

[00:14:33] happy to be here and let me tell you something you were rewarded for your

[00:14:40] patience because Jalen Sugg stepped up he had two steals on the night that's

[00:14:45] that's just light work that's what he just does on the regular okay then he

[00:14:52] stuck with stepped up in the points he scored 24 points he also had he

[00:14:57] was three of five from three-point land he was excellent and they needed him

[00:15:04] because Franz is still struggling Cole Anthony is still struggling okay but we

[00:15:12] also saw what we thought we were going to see in this playoffs the question

[00:15:18] that I had when we walked into the playoffs about the Orlando Magic was

[00:15:22] this can Paulo Bencaro be that guy could he be the guy that is the number

[00:15:30] one guy on a team when it really matters and what we're finding out is

[00:15:35] that Paulo Bencaro is up to the task most definitely he had another great

[00:15:42] game you scored like 31 points he's just he's just growing and proving

[00:15:51] that he is this guy and I love it I love it so much because he's not the

[00:15:59] prototypical like analytic darling he's he's more of a high-volume shooter

[00:16:05] it's because of the team it's because of what is there and what is not there

[00:16:10] at this present time and unfortunately with Franz Wagner going MIA and I'm

[00:16:17] gonna tell you right now that piece is gonna have to either a there's got to

[00:16:23] be a serious exit interview with Franz where he's gonna have to get his head

[00:16:28] on right I don't know what he's going through but to see a 84 to 85 percent

[00:16:35] free throw shooter struggled this mightily at the three-point line when

[00:16:39] you know you see the touch and you see that the shot looks good it's not

[00:16:43] like he has this clunky shooting motion that you go hey we kind of probably need

[00:16:50] to straighten that you know tuck that elbow in a little bit more there's

[00:16:54] nothing like that in the game it's just can you just rise up and shoot

[00:17:02] you with confidence and it is just eluded him at this point the other

[00:17:10] one thing that we do want to go ahead and bring up is that Jonathan Isaac started

[00:17:15] the first couple games and steadily as the series has gone along his minutes

[00:17:20] has gone down in his usage usage has gone down and what has actually

[00:17:24] happened is he actually ended up on the bench last night he played 16

[00:17:29] minutes which was kind of his regular role throughout the regular

[00:17:32] season and I wonder if Isaac was just there to get Wendell Carter

[00:17:37] Jr. over the hump because he had been dealing with a couple nagging injuries

[00:17:42] and what have you and they just wanted him to get kind of more loosened up

[00:17:46] and ready to go and now we can go ahead and play the regular original

[00:17:51] lineup that we were usually playing and really for Cleveland fans I still

[00:17:58] think that you guys are gonna win the series no no offense Orlando I

[00:18:01] told you hey this is why they lost I can tell you exactly why Cleveland

[00:18:07] lost this game not only was it a great defensive effort from Orlando because

[00:18:12] it was the backcourt of Cleveland was 8 of 26 so Garland and Mitchell combined

[00:18:20] that starting backcourt 8 of 26 for the game that's not gonna get it done

[00:18:26] at all also no Mowgli didn't hit a three for the first time in the

[00:18:34] series that's also interesting as well and the support staff just was a

[00:18:38] complete no-show so to me this was kind of hey we're going into a new

[00:18:43] environment we didn't expect maybe the intensity and you know what they say

[00:18:49] you cannot you cannot overcome desperation sometimes when somebody is

[00:18:55] in a gotta-have-it moment they're desperate and they're gonna they're

[00:19:01] gonna get to where they need to go so we'll see how game four plays out now

[00:19:06] that you see what Orlando is bringing you in their own arena with that

[00:19:11] energy we'll see the type of effort that Cleveland comes out with and I

[00:19:17] wonder if they'll be able to go ahead and match that intensity and I

[00:19:21] think I have a belief that they will honestly all right let's move

[00:19:26] along and that series also 2-1 Cleveland is up in that series okay here

[00:19:32] we go I know probably a lot of people are looking forward to this I'm

[00:19:39] actually looking forward to this let's talk about the Nuggets and the

[00:19:43] Lakers shall we the first thing that I want to say is are there any D low

[00:19:49] stands out there that want to give me anything for what we saw last night

[00:19:56] now granted I have been back and forth on D low I I never I'll put it this way

[00:20:10] it's not about being right on this one I really root for the young man I

[00:20:14] actually think he's a really good player I just think if he could

[00:20:18] lessen himself just just a tad if he can just understand maybe you

[00:20:24] shouldn't handle the ball certain times and I'll get to in a second what I

[00:20:29] actually mean by that but it wasn't just a performance it was what happened

[00:20:35] as as you didn't have a great game but then you distance yourself on the

[00:20:41] bench and you sit alone and it looked like he was on his phone on the

[00:20:47] bench in a playoff game and see that's the D low that people remember from

[00:20:56] before and D low is right about one thing we are an unforgiving fan base

[00:21:02] here in Los Angeles we expect excellence we are 100% spoiled D low I'm

[00:21:09] not telling you you are not wrong in that but the one thing that we do we

[00:21:15] want the one thing that we do actually think that we are entitled to is effort

[00:21:23] and that was a weak ass move when you plopped yourself on the side not being

[00:21:33] with your teammates because you're having a piss poor game bro be in the

[00:21:40] fight being there like yo I'm shooting like ass right now I need some of

[00:21:44] y'all to step it up I need you know a lot of a fire under Rudy's Rui's ass do

[00:21:51] that don't go sit on the side and pout don't do that and by the way just so

[00:21:59] you know when you're sitting there next year and you have the you just have

[00:22:06] the the myopic thought process that you're gonna go out there and get a

[00:22:14] deal next year this little scene right here I would take the second year of

[00:22:22] that option year with the Lakers my man I would take that year because if you

[00:22:28] believe there's 24 25 million a year annually waiting for you on the open

[00:22:34] market with the with the play that you have shown in this playoff

[00:22:39] because game one wasn't great game three was abysmal and then that act

[00:22:44] at the end of the game when you were away yeah you just blew your chance of

[00:22:50] money I know people will say aww Vance you you old school you you a boomer

[00:22:57] you're this you're that because you know you don't understand the young

[00:23:01] player today no I do understand something I do understand that like

[00:23:06] you can have a bad game but you can make up for it in different ways

[00:23:10] maybe you're not playing well but you can still give energy maybe you can light a

[00:23:15] fire under another guy who's having maybe second thoughts about his game

[00:23:20] you know today or whatever the case may be and you get him going and we

[00:23:27] just didn't see it the other thing that we need to talk about in this

[00:23:31] series that is the most important thing of course I've always said I'm

[00:23:38] old guy I've seen a lot of playoff basketball I've seen a lot of

[00:23:43] championship basketball too right seeing a lot of greats the one thing that

[00:23:49] great teams have in every last one of them have this in their DNA and I

[00:23:57] want to bring this up because I want people to start looking for it and

[00:24:03] what I mean by this is that whatever it is whether it's a just like you know

[00:24:10] what we're gonna kind of ease into this game and kind of see what they're

[00:24:14] trying to do when we're gonna kind of work on our actions and do this and

[00:24:18] do that but you know we'll see how it all goes then they get down a

[00:24:24] little bit let's say they get down by eight right then these sets become a

[00:24:30] little bit crisper we're not working on anything we're starting to use our bread

[00:24:34] and butter the pick-and-roll Jamal Murray Nikola Nikola Nikola Jokic

[00:24:40] action right that also spins off Aaron Gordon he gets absolutely free

[00:24:46] for dunks all the time and MP MPJ sorry I'm so excited right now to talk

[00:24:54] about how they're playing and how everybody's moving in concert so

[00:24:58] excuse my excitement let me slow down a little bit but when you have the Jamal

[00:25:04] Murray Jokic pick and roll right and then you have Aaron Gordon who's

[00:25:10] extremely active also KCP who's active on like cross cuts and also setting up

[00:25:17] secondary pick and roll actions and things of that nature and they have

[00:25:21] flair flair out to the three-point line and then with Michael Porter

[00:25:25] standing out there and he's just a knockdown deadly three-point shooter it

[00:25:31] is just extremely hard to guard and Jokic you can't bait him into making a

[00:25:40] selfish play and what I mean by that is that you can't speed him up you

[00:25:46] can't stop him if he wants to shoot it he's gonna get to his spot if he

[00:25:54] wants to pass it in the midst of his shot that pass will be on time on

[00:25:59] target with precision that we can only see with like actual super super

[00:26:06] computers right and then with all of that everything to him is no big deal

[00:26:13] I mean that dude's emotion I would love to see like I like to see an

[00:26:18] Apple smartwatch on him throughout the game to see what his heart rate is

[00:26:24] throughout the game I wonder if he goes up because he just seems like yeah it's

[00:26:29] just you know another day at the office we just we're just chilling here

[00:26:33] we're just doing what we do you know being amazing amazing basketball

[00:26:39] player and then I'm so bored I wonder what my horses are doing you

[00:26:44] know it's probably what Jokic is thinking in the second quarter as Anthony

[00:26:48] Davis is hanging off his back as he just slips the ball onto the rim it

[00:26:55] bounces three times and goes in this is all happening in a game for

[00:27:00] Jokic he's the he's the best player on the planet bar none okay here's the

[00:27:08] other thing that I want to talk about and I want to say this and I want to

[00:27:15] sound fair so I'll preface I will preface it by saying that the Lakers

[00:27:21] needed more from LeBron last night it seemed like he he had a like a lack

[00:27:28] of energy he had a lack of I wouldn't say he didn't give it he didn't give

[00:27:33] a crap it wasn't that I think he was sick and tired of seeing D'Angelo

[00:27:37] Russell take ill-advised three-point shots with like 17 seconds on the

[00:27:43] shot clock I'm sure he was real tired of that but the other thing with LeBron

[00:27:51] he just had uncharacteristic turnovers it just seemed like it just seemed

[00:27:56] like the the concentration wasn't completely locked in and it was so

[00:28:02] apparent because Aaron Gordon destroyed LeBron last night he played with more

[00:28:09] aggression he played with more purpose he had 15 total rebounds he had five

[00:28:14] offensive rebounds and they were mostly on LeBron okay 29 points for

[00:28:21] Aaron Gordon as well and it was it was ugly it was all the what but I

[00:28:27] thought it was gonna be and I had a lot of people not real thrilled what I was

[00:28:32] talking about after game two that this series was a wrap and I said that this

[00:28:38] was gonna be a sweep or a gentleman's sweep but I thought it was gonna be a

[00:28:42] sweep and it looks like we're headed towards that at this point in time I

[00:28:46] do want to talk about Rui Hachamora and D'Angelo Russell for one

[00:28:50] quick second 15.7 million dollars is what they gave Rui to play basketball

[00:28:57] I know that he was jerked in and out of the lineup I'm I know that he was

[00:29:04] mismanaged this year and I know that can throw off a rhythm of a player and

[00:29:08] what have you but at this point in time I kind of need you to put your

[00:29:13] big boy pants on suck it up it's the playoffs and let's ride and let's

[00:29:18] get this W you know I'm saying and when you're putting them like five

[00:29:23] points man and three rebounds and you there are stints when I forget that

[00:29:29] Rui Hachamora is on the court that is impossible to forget that a six foot nine

[00:29:38] 240 40 pound man is not on the court how do you miss him he's not Casper the

[00:29:47] friendly ghost all right and then D'Angelo Russell is listen this is

[00:29:51] not about the money this is not about anything but bro you came back to the

[00:29:57] Lakers okay I understand your first stint you were young things were going

[00:30:03] on you had the whole Nick Young thing that blows open your face

[00:30:07] Magic Johnson's out here talking trash I get it I get it all bitter I can

[00:30:13] understand that you were not completely excited or happy with the

[00:30:19] way your your tenure as a Laker the first time went you literally had a

[00:30:29] chance to rewrite history and you played so well last year up until the

[00:30:36] point of the playoffs and we you know it was a little like oh well you know

[00:30:42] is D'Lo worth it I don't know there were him and a high whether you know

[00:30:48] we're gonna bring you back all this they give you do they give you a new deal

[00:30:53] they give you two-year deal second year is your option it's a player

[00:30:58] option and we just talked about all the stuff that you just did so we don't

[00:31:01] need to bring all that up but my man you literally had a chance you were

[00:31:06] doing it you were doing it for five months yes there were still some shots

[00:31:13] I was still questioning yes I still think you are super lazy with the

[00:31:18] ball I don't know if it's a lack of concentration or you just think you're

[00:31:22] so nice with your dribble package I don't know what it is but you really

[00:31:28] need to start locking in and concentrating or here's the other

[00:31:32] option just be who you are and what that is is it what you are is it is

[00:31:40] a two guard you should be the second side initiator so you're called on

[00:31:47] like a third of the time of your usage that you have now you are a knockdown

[00:31:52] shooter in the corner and at the top of the break you can get extremely hot if

[00:32:00] when you're motivated you can rebound you're not a great defensive player

[00:32:04] and that's okay I'm not even gonna trip on your defense man I'm not

[00:32:08] going to trip there what I will trip off of what I will be mad about

[00:32:13] is your laxadaisical laz-blaze fair attitude with the damn possessions in

[00:32:23] the playoffs that's what I'll be very very intentional about my displeasure

[00:32:33] possessions are so precious especially in the playoffs and you coming down

[00:32:44] taking shots with 17 seconds left to go in the shot clock not everybody is where

[00:32:52] they need to be because you feel you're in the flow right that's what

[00:32:58] you call it you're in the flow don't get in the flow man stop stop doing

[00:33:05] it stop being in the flow just don't please don't do that anymore and yeah

[00:33:14] the Lakers are down 3-0 we're headed towards oblivion and you know I think

[00:33:21] there are a lot of questions going into this offseason number one does LeBron

[00:33:25] come back I mean if LeBron is chasing titles clearly you're not getting

[00:33:36] past Jokic not with what we have here and I know Laker fans don't want to

[00:33:42] hear that but it's playing out right now we're watching it so how can you

[00:33:47] sit there and fool yourself into thinking that oh well we just add just a

[00:33:53] tweak here tweak there no that team the Denver Nuggets is better than the

[00:33:59] Los Angeles Lakers and it's not close they walk them down every game

[00:34:08] every game the Lakers have had a lead the Denver Nuggets have walked them

[00:34:13] down every single game and championship teams real championship teams all have

[00:34:21] this remember how good the Golden State Warriors where they were in

[00:34:28] their championship window was everybody was scared of them in the third

[00:34:33] quarter again the Nuggets have outscored the Lakers in this series

[00:34:40] in the third quarter by 31 points hmm all the real championship dynasties have

[00:34:54] this particular DNA I saw it with the Lakers a couple times obviously in the

[00:35:00] Magic era right and then I saw it with the Kovian Shack era I didn't see

[00:35:06] it so much in the Powell and Kovia era because I don't think of that as

[00:35:11] a dynasty because they didn't get to you know three and you know in a short

[00:35:15] amount of time I only got to two but their dominance those two teams dominance

[00:35:22] and obviously the Bulls the Bulls did it a lot bulls would just walk you down

[00:35:27] there be teams that get super high from three thinking oh we got the

[00:35:32] Bulls tonight we gonna kill them we gonna we up by 16 no problem blah blah

[00:35:39] and then by the end of the third quarter that game is tied or the Bulls are up by

[00:35:47] five there were specific points in the Bulls dynasty where legitimately I saw

[00:35:54] NBA teams and I know all the young people out there will sit there and

[00:35:59] tell me that the guards were trash and they didn't have the bag package

[00:36:03] that the guards have now and all that I got you but riddle me this it was a 10

[00:36:12] second violation to get past our court back in my day right because I'm a

[00:36:18] boomer I'm old right and then here's the other thing I saw for two three

[00:36:25] like legitimate minutes right and I don't know how many seconds would be

[00:36:29] off in the game we like 45 seconds maybe like three or four possessions I

[00:36:33] would see for chunks of quarters an NBA franchise not be able to get the

[00:36:40] ball past half court on the Chicago Bulls that's how sick the defense was

[00:36:48] led by Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen not led by Dennis Rodman not

[00:36:56] led by whom you know Steve Kerr cuz Steve Kerr couldn't cut nobody let's be

[00:37:02] honest okay let's let's go to spay to spay right but like when they had BJ

[00:37:08] Armstrong BJ wouldn't garden people that was Michael and Scotty garden

[00:37:14] people locking fools up putting them in the Uso penitentiary right so the

[00:37:25] Nuggets have that they are a they are a exquisite team and I'm just enjoying

[00:37:32] watching them even though at my favorite teams demise this is still

[00:37:36] beautiful to watch and you know 3o we'll see how it goes we're not gonna

[00:37:41] spend a lot of time on the Miami Heat and the Celtics the one thing I

[00:37:47] will say is that the Heat shot 23 or 43 from three okay I don't know if

[00:37:54] that will continue I don't see that and then the Celtics freaked out when they

[00:38:00] saw the zone like they did they just forgot how to play like you get in the

[00:38:05] middle allow the zone to collapse and then you kick it out to the shooters

[00:38:09] I mean this should be super easy with grown-ups we should know how to

[00:38:13] use a zone we should look at it go okay we need to get to this spot on

[00:38:18] the nail and then we should work from there right and then whoever is in

[00:38:23] that point at the nail he's a quick decision-maker to get it out to the to

[00:38:28] the shooters or the cutter for some reason the Celtics didn't do that the

[00:38:33] series tied and I'll say this Missoula has two days to figure this out this

[00:38:40] zone but here's the scary part Spohle has two days to figure out what other

[00:38:49] torturous contraptions he can put the boss and Celtics in I don't think that

[00:38:55] the Miami Heat aren't going to win this series and it's no disrespect to them

[00:38:59] but they're definitely gonna make it entertaining because they have no quit

[00:39:04] in them this team is literally Michael Myers dude it is it is so crazy how

[00:39:11] sick this team is you know you think like oh well who's gonna shoot who's

[00:39:17] gonna do this he wrote steps up Duncan Robinson comes from out of nowhere

[00:39:25] what's his Humminghock has is having a solid series Bam out of bio is a

[00:39:31] complete warrior he's just a complete and utter just gritty dude and he just

[00:39:39] fights for every possession it's just sick I love them so again we're gonna

[00:39:44] test I didn't think that Boston would be tested in a series at all but we're

[00:39:50] gonna see what mr. Tatum is all about because what's your response your team

[00:39:55] lost okay and you should be a little embarrassed because this team let's

[00:40:01] let's be honest and Miami Heat fans will tell you this this is obviously

[00:40:05] not the best representation of what the Heat actually are and for you to

[00:40:11] get caught slipping against the Miami Heat that are absolutely diminished and

[00:40:16] got rookies out here who were playing in March Madness last year working up

[00:40:22] on you we got a real problem okay again the Miami Heat are Michael Myers we

[00:40:30] shot him we stabbed him we tried to burn him up we tried to blow him up we

[00:40:38] tried to drown him like we try to get a voodoo doctor they won't die bro they

[00:40:45] will not die you have to absolute when you think you killed him kill him

[00:40:51] again and just just on the safe side kill him one more time and just when

[00:40:58] you're kind of maybe thinking about walking away on that fourth time just

[00:41:02] give them one more good one on the way out that's how you get rid of the

[00:41:07] Heat because anytime you give that team any air whatsoever it's not a great

[00:41:15] thing all right I said that we had something at the end of this and we're

[00:41:20] getting to that point now it's so funny because we've been trying to

[00:41:26] come up with like segments and stuff like that and I think there's a

[00:41:31] there there's an actual program that we're trying to and when I say

[00:41:36] program there's an actual kind of like flow to the podcast that we're trying

[00:41:40] to get to and we're all we're working at it right now we're trying to work

[00:41:44] it in and you know we have a time a set time or how long we want the

[00:41:48] podcast to be and it can be a little bit less but he you know can't

[00:41:52] hit over this and all this sort of thing but in my in doing these

[00:41:59] pods there's been a couple times I said some things like hey you know if

[00:42:03] you have any questions or you want me to talk about any of your favorite

[00:42:07] teams players whatever you're not showing enough love to this that the

[00:42:11] other or whatever else that you want to talk about hit us up so an email

[00:42:21] came through and I read it and I was like okay I will answer this on the

[00:42:29] so from KIA 84477 okay um quick question have a little dilemma love my guy being

[00:42:47] with my guy for six years now and everything is going well but my

[00:42:57] mother-in-law is just super mean actually hold on it says my mother-in-law is has

[00:43:05] been super mean to me the whole time she has belittled me she has you know

[00:43:12] you know talked to him or whatever in times when they were alone I have been

[00:43:21] nothing but nice I you know I have taken her out on spot dates I've you

[00:43:27] know we've gone out to movies and you know taking excursions and what have

[00:43:34] you so I don't know how to break her perimeter at this point in time

[00:43:39] looking for a little help all right so KIA 8477 all right so we got a

[00:43:51] question we're gonna answer it all right um first and foremost I will always tell

[00:43:57] you that communication is key right so you need to get what your significant

[00:44:04] other and say hey listen man like I don't know what's going on but you

[00:44:10] know me and your mom aren't getting along and as as this person as this

[00:44:17] person should want to protect you that's what I'm trying to get at is

[00:44:20] that you're feeling not valued you know by him so I would I would want to

[00:44:30] have a long discussion with him about how like you're feeling about it

[00:44:33] not like oh don't talk about all the stuff that she does talk about how it

[00:44:40] makes you feel talk about oh I feel like I'm not part of the family or

[00:44:46] I'm not I don't feel like you know I don't feel as loved and you know you

[00:44:54] know do you you know don't don't put it like this don't put him in between

[00:44:59] his mom and you but also let him know that you know it's like listen I

[00:45:08] support you in every single way you know I love you you know we're in this

[00:45:13] together it's like can you do me a solid here is there any way that you can kind

[00:45:19] of see if you can help me bridge this gap so it's not awkward you know

[00:45:24] because I know you like going over to your mother's house so throwing things

[00:45:28] like that throwing it's like you like going over to your mother's house and

[00:45:31] I don't want it to be a bad experience for you don't attack his

[00:45:36] mother right don't say anything or what she is like oh she's doing this she's

[00:45:44] doing that just say how it makes you feel right and then the other thing is

[00:45:50] also sell him on the idea of you know you like going over there and I

[00:45:58] would like this experience to be as as great for you as possible and I

[00:46:04] think if you hit those three things I think that you could come to some sort

[00:46:08] of resolution if he is really about you and then the question is is that if

[00:46:14] he's really not about you what do you do then right so I hope that helped

[00:46:23] by the way if anybody else has any other questions our email is at front

[00:46:32] where is I'm sorry is front runner PC at gmail.com so I think ki a 8477 for the

[00:46:43] email I hope it helped we're praying for you we hope everything goes well
