Reminder Recording a podcast right after the completion of the First Round of the NBA Draft!

[00:00:11] It is late Tuesday night, you know what time it is Front Runner Podcast Collective is back on the air. I am your humble hose of Vince

[00:00:21] And we have a lot of big news to get to but before we do that let's give you a rundown of what's going on today We have the Mackelle Bridges trade to the New York Nix

[00:00:34] We also have the draft and news and notes on the draft and break down some of the players And we have an interesting way of doing that and I hope you guys enjoy it

[00:00:45] I'll give you my thoughts on the JJ Reddit press conference and did it submit some things for me or did it changing thing but I just wanted to Get on here and we waited and waited and then there was a reason for it

[00:01:02] And we'll get to it at the end of the podcast and it's not this Mackelle Bridges thing This actually is a film into our labs but Before we get into all of the trades and what happened we need to get to the socials

[00:01:17] First and foremost on X Twitter Front Runner at Front Runner PC And for the for the producers They have their own Twitter It's Raya it's Raya Hife in FRPC So get what the producers on that day put in a lot of time and work into

[00:01:44] Gathering a lot of information that we're going to talk about on today's podcast I want to thank them for all of their help as well with this and the other thing that we want to talk about is just how Important this trade was

[00:02:03] But we want to get to all of the socials let's get to YouTube Front Runner podcast collective clips We'll have this probably this trade up here and some draft stuff and also get on the podcast via front telephorand We break in records every single day

[00:02:22] I look at these numbers and I'm just Superfly while what's going on so it's a credit to you This is an independent podcast. I think I've said that in previous Pods but the reason why I'm bringing this up again is because The job that we are doing here

[00:02:42] It's not lost on me and some of the information that we're able to gather and get out to you in a timely fashion and especially with this McKellig we're just trade and I'm trying to talk to you guys well

[00:02:53] To know that we're not funded by anybody nobody's behind us. There's no money making machine behind us It is your interest is basically word amount Somebody put you on to the podcast and I think them And then you pass it along as well so

[00:03:15] All the audience said it's just basically just being very appreciative of this community that we are busy and appreciative that We are doing this with just Smoke emirers basically right now and as we grow and grow into something that arrivals

[00:03:40] Something other wringer which is the hook and dream of this podcast And there's no earth that you guys are long for the ride so what that being said Make sure that you're being a friend telling a friend download the podcast Follow the podcast on Apple Squatify Amazon music

[00:04:01] I heart radio and door if you still listen to that and wherever else you get your podcast So with that being said let's get to the McKellig bridges of it all I am First let's talk about The New York Nicks getting McKell bridges from

[00:04:27] The Brooklyn Nets and what they Man this trade is so awesome for the next they have Three decades of just basically being terrible You have a monochrome of hope when Carmelo got there and you had Carmelo Anthony and a mory stottomire

[00:04:55] And then that faded away pretty quickly with a mory stottomire is neat kind of given out on them And now you built this team so succinctly Credit to Leon Rose and his staff the former CAA people who have put together

[00:05:16] And excellent team and now what they've done is they've ended up The basically a trade greats down like this The Nicks ascending over for unprotected first Starting in 2025 2027 2029 and 2031 There's also a unprotected 2025 Our protected 2025 pick from Milwaukee And a 2028 unprotected pick swap

[00:05:49] As well it looks like there's a second rounder in 2025 and McKell bridges is A neck and they gave a ball-yong by Donovan's In this deal in Jericho sense so That's the trade in full Now let's get into

[00:06:12] What it does for the next and who did they just get first of all McKell bridges is If they loved OG and Annovi If the Nicks fins love OG and Annovi You're gonna absolutely love them killed bridges because he does all the things that OG and Annovi does

[00:06:37] Better he's a better score He's literally one of the quintessential 3nd wing guys but he does have offensive creation Which is Excellent for this team. I think that was one of the things that we talked about on their exit

[00:06:55] Out of the playoffs is that they probably needed another guy that could create off the dribble Now with that being said McKell bridges provides Another wall-hailing but also he provides another point of attack defender Which is in caritas when you have Jalen Pronson

[00:07:16] Jalen Pronson is basically six feet if that and He's just oh he's gonna give you what he can on defense You know that all what you got them for is that offense side of the ball is that That self creation that he provides

[00:07:33] It's to be able to attack the paint just Anapotte it unapologetically just attack the paint and Be able to put pressure on the rim or also Colossed defense and kick it out to the shooters which is also brings me to that my point Getting McKell bridges

[00:07:52] Who is pretty much oh like a knockdown shooter he shot 37.2% beyond the art last year and this is for a Brooklyn team that wasn't as talented as the team that he's stepping into

[00:08:10] Oh, you got more people that you have to really account for on the nicks and also with Pronson's wizardry being able to dissect and get into the middle of the teeth of the defense You're also putting yourself in a situation where now just just spray the ball out

[00:08:28] And then his second side creation being able to attack the paint as well and then be able to kick it out to another Oakland three just opens up the floor a little bit more For the team that's what you're getting in bridges. He's 27 years of age

[00:08:45] He plays every game all the time. That's another thing that you're gonna absolutely love If you haven't been paying a lot of attention to Brooklyn that's basketball Which I can understand if you're casual it's hard to watch. I can understand that But he was basically about 20 points again

[00:09:05] He average a four and a half rebounds which was kind of light for him and three and a half assists again Which I will tell you that was part of the game that when he first got traded from Phoenix Two Brooklyn as part of the Kevin Durant trade

[00:09:23] The thing that He showed right off the bat when he got to Brooklyn was more offensive creation Which he wasn't able to do in Phoenix because he had devunker and Chris Paul and a lot of them He gets to Brooklyn. He becomes more free

[00:09:43] But we didn't see it this year. We didn't see a lot of it this year I don't know if it was just the team morale was bad and the vibes were bad and he just said okay, this is a lot last year

[00:09:57] All the protect ourselves here and no maybe not You know put the foot all the way to the pet to the metal Other gas pedal right maybe that was the situation. I don't know but it was a less aggressive Mcill bridges this year also it doesn't

[00:10:15] I'm not it's not lost on me that he also played with camp Thomas and if you not caught cam Thomas's vibe and what he likes to do Camp Thomas hasn't seen a shot that he hasn't liked Now albeit it might be drape with three defenders on him

[00:10:35] And people wide open that have the same color jerseys Camp Thomas is still probably taking our shot Just what it is so bridges is obviously going to be upgraded because it's gonna play with a better caliber or player and then Let's get into it

[00:10:55] We have now reunited all the Villanova Together So all the guys from those championship teams are now back together This is something that I'm rooting for back in the day for the FAF5 and to see Villanova do it To see

[00:11:16] How these guys don't made their mark in the NBA in their own different ways everybody in their own different ways Oh Jilling Pronson was he was Overlooked he was overlooked in the draft. He was overlooked as a A competent point guard

[00:11:35] He was overlooked as somebody who could help carry it The low would look a in Dallas Then he became somebody who could start they still thought this is probably the ceiling on him And now he's put two years together In New York City that

[00:11:54] Absolutely electrified everyone that play off run was so crazy and They just ran out of bodies Jilling Pronson included So now you got Jilling Pronson who's at the head of the snake You got Mokil bridges which is a Awesome Awesome player Whether he's a number three option

[00:12:22] Whether you want to slide them in as a number four option He's done all of those things Because we got to start talking about fit in a second But let's talk about Josh Hart

[00:12:33] What a rock solid player. He is the rebounding that he provides at six foot three six foot four whatever Josh art is and they don't a devicental is just an unconscious

[00:12:46] Irrational confident guy who has a lot of sauce to his game with his dribble package and to see all these guys Be able to squad up with one another. This is I'm so impressed with what the nicks have done

[00:13:03] I definitely understand that the pick package was a robust Say least but Let's get it straight Bronson is in his what to he's 27 You got Josh Hart 2728 they're all around the same age

[00:13:22] So they're all going to age together and at least for the next five years boring injury You got a pretty damn good squad and you also have a squad that you got a countable dudes

[00:13:37] And I'm not just talking about McElg bridges playing 82 games. I'm just talking about coming to work and Put the in the word and enjoying putting in the work you're gonna have a selfless bunch of guys too

[00:13:57] We saw it with Josh Hart and Dante dee vincenzo in this last postseason that just passed We saw them Elevate their game when they needed score We also see saw them dive on the floor for loose balls

[00:14:15] We saw Josh Hart go into the middle of the giants and grab Double digit rebound how many times a ton and now you're adding another player who is accountable who wants to play defense Who will pass up a good shot for a great shot

[00:14:38] Who will drive into the lane and put pressure on the paint Oh, this is guy who averages five six free throws a game Another guy like that and you put a guy with another high IQ basketball guy With the a North the on or Nate talent

[00:15:03] That is already on that squad the it's a collected group that is the New York Nix And we haven't even gotten to what else is the team look like because the reports are also That they're not out of the The hunt for O.G. Ananovi in fact

[00:15:25] There's a report that they are strongly put it pushing Forward with Grabbing O.G. Ananovi back and bringing him back into the fall and I am I'm this excited for New York Nick fans I really am I

[00:15:47] Was captivated by the run that you had in in this last postseason I was captivated by just how hard how much it meant to that team and then just to see the Type of guys not only not only who were on squad last year

[00:16:09] You really get didn't get all of what you Should get for O.G. Ananovi, but here's the one thing that I will say to Nick fans Thank God from the Cal Bridges so then O.G. Ananovi can miss his Pre-Rack was it 20 games

[00:16:28] because he kind of has the The perception of that he needs to be 100% to play now That all went out the window when he drugged He drugged his almost lifeless carcass out To Madison Square Garden knowing darn well he couldn't play with his injured leg and

[00:16:54] Provided for of the most uncomfortable minutes that I've ever seen in my whole entire life But It shows something to the Nick fans they loved it I'm not saying this is who he is because he did not show all of this

[00:17:13] Intuano when I think about O.G. Ananovi was like He's always that guy If you think about full-gloal player or even baseball players and in fact our guys who who do fantasy will definitely understand this O.G. Ananovi reminds me of like a really good running back

[00:17:36] That if he has like a tweak on the hamstring Or let's say so or ribs he's probably not gonna play the next game or thinking of a running backs Supposedly right and

[00:17:50] It's one of those guys who you can see it. It's building the first week was good the second week was better The third week was phenomenal work we're cooking with gas now everything is starting to come together And then it just abruptly stops because there's an entry

[00:18:11] I don't know if this is gonna really ever change with O.G. Ananovi What having maquelle bridges As kind of a Insurance policy Because he can do a lot of the things that O.G. does what having both of them

[00:18:28] I mean it we are talking big time stuff That will be yeah, let's go ahead. I know New York fans are saying it. I'm gonna say it for you

[00:18:41] I know y'all want to run it back right now y'all want to get on the court right now and run it back Yeah, we got our guys now. We got them killed we got all the little little little noob of guys We got it

[00:18:54] We got to get heart and shine back in the phone We got to see what's going on with Amra We got to see what's going on with Mitchell Robinson and seeing either are we keeping them or are we going to different direction

[00:19:07] The other thing we got to think about That we we haven't even acknowledged is Julius Randall Where does Julius Randall fit in to all of this? Here's your 28 29 year old Multiple all star Julius Randall 25 points again

[00:19:28] 89 regrounds a game another guy who can get you some assist another guy who can attack the paint Man, this is what looking delicious and now that I think about it if for some reason they're able to keep O.G. and a noobie You think about it you got

[00:19:45] Whoever you're going to start it center so if it's hardenedstein I think this kind of I think getting the kill bridges says the end to Mitchell Robinson But if you have a lineup of hardenedstein Julius Randall O.G. and a noobie McKill bridges and then Jalen Bronson your

[00:20:09] Defends is on Crazy lock because you switch in everything and hardenedstein is such a cerebral defender That he just gets in the way and Picks up charges left and right And then you bring in the chaos that is Josh Hart

[00:20:32] And Dante D. Vincienzo off the bench with do someic bright Then you got you still got precious a jula You got some things going on in New York City and shots out to the entire Player personnel group That Leon Rose has put together I am impressed by

[00:20:56] Just their patience that they show their ability to dissect and find Either what I will consider distress asset or a untapped resource In some of their in some of their acquisitions and this is This is the kind of stuff that honestly

[00:21:19] It just it makes basketball better when New York and that city Is really involved with a chance to win The excitement has to be at a 10 level Let me know Nick fans out there What's up hit me at on x at front runner PC

[00:21:42] Again shots out to the nicks and what they've done now also a little more news for you And this is something that I did not plan on talking about but let's get into it right now I want to go ahead and give the person

[00:21:58] Credit for this okay agent agent what do now ski Is recording that the Houston Rockets have Significant interest in one Kevin Durant Could Kevin Durant be on the move again

[00:22:19] Could this be the size of an summer that we thought we were gonna have last year that we are going to have this year It's already started ladies and gentlemen it started with Alex Caruso a couple days ago Going to okay see okay see said yeah

[00:22:36] We didn't like what we had with Josh getting we didn't like that we he was somebody They you didn't have the guard on the floor Let's get somebody who shoot in the ball behind the art at a great level which Alice Caruso does

[00:22:52] He shoots at at plus 40 percent That was the first album then We get this We get the McHale bridges news that he's going to be a nick the nicks are saying hey

[00:23:08] You know what we like what Boston put together you see all those wings and all that switchable Defensive and everything like that what happens if Our Drew holiday was six foot seven that's what I'm talking about Nick fans

[00:23:27] That's what I want to get to you right now is that if you look at if you look at how you stack up with Boston right now McHale bridges Is your Drew holiday sounds good and now this news now. I don't know I

[00:23:47] Know Houston has a lot of picks that they you know that they acquired Exquirtly within last two or three years They have a lot of young talent of the sons are absolutely drowning and need talent

[00:24:04] They need a talent infusion that they need young talent by the way and And Really Kevin Durant and I think I spoke about this on a podcast last year Kevin Durant was going to be their outclass unlike always felt that if

[00:24:23] Minnesota decided to move on from somebody it would be called Anthony Towns But when you have when you do not have any more picks left Because you gave them all the way in the Kevin Durant deal and then in the Bradley bill deal When you're

[00:24:42] Definitely over to second apron and we've talked about how punitive the second apron is and how restricting in a acquiring talent it is Trading Kevin Durant for debt Was always going to be the way out For Phoenix

[00:25:04] It's going to be interesting as hell to hear what the package is That's out there and I'm trying to find out now. I'm trying to see if there's anything online That gives us any indication of What actually could be going on with this?

[00:25:25] Not as of yet, but obviously if for something it's something does happen We'll do our emergency pod tomorrow and pretty much it We are we owe you a pod anyway and we'll get to the reason for that a little bit later

[00:25:41] But I wanted to make sure that we hit on all those little news items The next thing that I want to talk about before we get to the draft because I know everybody's here for that

[00:25:55] Don't worry we are going to talk draft give me about five minutes of Some later items that I want to get out the way JJ Reddick had his press conference yesterday. I enjoyed it I like the approach of He's a realist he knows the team

[00:26:19] He knows who he has to go to work with every day But the one thing that I really enjoyed about the JJ Reddick pot or the JJ Reddick podcast Yeah, I enjoyed those two but the one thing I enjoyed about His press conference was al-Colabra that

[00:26:38] He not only was with Rob Polinka, but when he was talking about the analytics staff and the player Developed me guys and how it's important to touch those people and really get a feel for what they are

[00:26:53] And how say okay this and what we are trying to do this is the vision that we have and I need you to see this vision That we have because you're in an important part

[00:27:06] To this vision and he really wants everybody to feel on prior or a ties and I think that is something That has been missing in this whole equation like the last What y'all want to say at Lake France 13 years Vogue of one the championship no doubt

[00:27:31] But we complained All the time about his offense and how unimaginative it was Luke Walton by the time Luke Walton was leaving as Lake a coach We didn't know if Luke Was actually like we he might have been on the spectrum Honestly, there was so much

[00:27:53] Viturol towards Luke Walton and Something he was doing That I mean it it was hot that kitchen Then we get to Darwin ham and Lake of France know this We did not appreciate his rotations We did not appreciate how he utilized this roster at all

[00:28:18] We thought he gave a lot of attention to To touring prints we didn't understand the cam ready the cam reddish Early minutes We did not understand a lot of the Christian wood minutes There was a lot of stuff that we did not understand with Darwin ham and

[00:28:40] We voiced our opinion very loudly about Darwin ham a lot But with JJ the one thing that you do know Whether it's going to work or whether it's not going to work he actually has a plan There's a plan for

[00:28:59] You know how he's going to deal with the wrong there's a plan for I believe in his mind there's a plan for Anthony Davis and I'm sure He said in his press conference

[00:29:12] There were a couple things that he said what the one thing everybody talks about him cursing and saying That he didn't give a fuck and that's his words

[00:29:21] He didn't give a fuck about his critics and being able to discredit some of the things that have been put out there about him And how he's going to be able to convey his message to the the rest of the roster

[00:29:37] Knowing that he did a podcast with LeBron James I will make a point on that in one second. Oh, he did say that but to me that wasn't the most impressive part of the press conference for me No That was not everybody else

[00:29:54] thinks that's like a such such a clip where the click where the thing to to get off on no well he said that Was really impressive To me the thing that who's doing like oh? Okay This might be a little bit different

[00:30:18] When he was talking about where we got to use our guys crashing down from the corners And then The principles of the whoever is at the top of the key get back Right on defense to save guard

[00:30:41] The passes those type of things those were the type of things to me That were impressive That was the thing that I was okay There is some thought process in this and then his thought process also Then drifted towards Anthony Davis and

[00:31:04] How Anthony Davis he talked to Anthony he wants to unlock Anthony Davis in the poor quarter now No, if he's going to be able to do all these things. We just don't know But the last thing that he said that was really impressive to me and I think

[00:31:21] Everybody who's a Laker fan we all watched the press conference We all were there just eat no every single word But the one thing and I don't I want to leave you with that I thought was very important

[00:31:31] He said I'm probably not gonna be involved in the California classic Somerlie and Why was that? I'm going to be heavily involved in free agency What that tells me is that rockerlinka and jay jay redic Lebron James Anthony Davis clutch genie bus a jay more the Ramby whoever

[00:32:02] You believe who is in this this cauldron Of decision makers in the Lakers organization and Let me tell you The principles that I have said yes There are more by the way just but

[00:32:25] With all those people in the mix the one thing that jay jay said he said that he was gonna be involved in free agency That means that there is a certain type of player that he is looking for

[00:32:37] There might be a certain type of goal that he is saying this is something that I absolutely need To make these two or three things to work and I am very interested to see how all this plays out As we continue to go along

[00:32:55] Throughout the rest of the off season Now That's my Laker rant of the day I think it took seven minutes I apologize two minutes over But I wanted to get that in because I thought it was very important to talk about a couple things from that press conference

[00:33:13] Now on the draft is Tomorrow we will be On top of it we will be watching and then what we will do is once the draft is over We will React after we will drop a pot We will probably record it right after the draft and

[00:33:36] We'll we'll start going through observations and what happened and And we'll give our takes or thoughts on who did what and talk about roster built and talk about a roster Construction and go from there. So look forward to that we will not be waiting until the end

[00:33:57] Around to the drop of pot. No, we will drop a pot after round one Because that's where a lot of the heat is gonna happen But also there is a due to the NBA draft and we will be focused in on that because

[00:34:12] I think this gives teams franchises Time to think time to take a deep breath not because of the pigs but remember The constraints of the CBA are real the set the second apron in first apron Pinnolty's Just financially not just voluntarily, but in actual

[00:34:38] Roster construction rocks roster building it is Absolutely just Just absolutely hand-to-capping you Like the sons are a second apron team That means that they're draft pick seven years out frozen. It goes to the back of the line if they continue to stay in this particular area

[00:35:08] then your trades must be Like you can't stack players up on one another and what I mean by that you'll see other term aggregate players And that is when let's say you wanted a player for 45 million and you want to take

[00:35:27] $17 million players and that's 11 million dollar to add up to the 45 They can't do that because they're a second apron team They can't sign any Veteran minimal guys who may more than 12 million to the year previous That would cut out Russell Westbrook and people like that

[00:35:50] So there are a lot of things that the second apron A lot doesn't allow franchises to do that have spooked franchises And I think this is where you're going to see a ton of activity because of these things

[00:36:06] So that's the reason we we bring it up that's the reason why we take tell you to keep it locked on front one of podcast Collective tell a friend tell them that all their draft needs will be met here Because that's what we do All right

[00:36:24] We are gonna get to this draft and I'm gonna get to it right now. Let's get to Who what went why? There's a lot going on We're gonna give you a little rundown of what we heard What we think is gonna happen and go from there now

[00:36:45] Atlanta still Right now and when I say that They're in a situation where there was all this talk about Donovan clean with the longest time and I just as much as I like donovan cleaning I was like there's no way this dude can go number one

[00:37:06] He is a he's a He's a great big man Defender He's a role guy He does provide some I wouldn't call him a Offensive hub guy. I would say that he definitely be able to do like the dribble handoffs

[00:37:28] Or he will be able to pass out of double teams on things of that nature. I don't think he's a People will talk about his feel I want to see more

[00:37:39] But it's real hard to see him as number one overall pig and now a lot of people are also Same the same exact thing You got the washroom in the world the haulingers of the world the Gavones of the world and they believe that

[00:37:58] The Zachary Rissus Shea from France is going to be the second overall pig in the first overall pig in the draft I am I like them I think the one thing that you know about Zachary Rissus Shea is this

[00:38:16] Is that he's going to provide some just real stability He's going to be able to do certain things for you that you just go oh okay I see What the vision is here and

[00:38:31] The reason why I'll talk in a while him like this is because the most important thing Is that he's six nine to six ten He can shoot it now we talked about was his offensive creation not Was it not valid or was it something that wasn't utilized

[00:39:01] Because we talked about it before he played for it seeing That was really successful made the playoff in their your league And Was able to go far In these playoffs And they asked Zachary Rissus Shea to do a couple things hey man

[00:39:23] We're going to need you to hit this three point shot at a respectable level No doubt he did that Now the other thing what that is is that they say that He shot the ball in spurts I personally think that the shot is nice

[00:39:41] I don't think he'll have really a lot of problems with that at all of his His baseless his just pull up to nine is pull up three his just like his catching shoot three is one of it's in like 97% So you're talking about a really expert shooter

[00:40:01] I think He can More repetition you'll get a rhythm This was as concerned I think knowing where the squats in the court where you can be open Just pin it on the dominant person who is who's basically Drawing all the attention

[00:40:21] You can't look at Zachary Rissus Shea or any of these kicks as oh this is going to be the guy who starts the drink No, there a lot of these guys are

[00:40:34] Complimentary guys there are a couple guys in this draft and I'm gonna get to a couple of them in a second That I'm high on that I think that could really be more than just but I guess when I'm trying to say

[00:40:46] I think they can be more closer to different makers than than not But Zachary Rissus also on the defense event his spatial awareness and we talked about it on this probably previously

[00:40:58] But his spatial awareness is ridiculous he definitely knows how to be able to cover two men by just standing in a certain spot His length and his aggressiveness at the realm to protect it is also pretty impressive as well

[00:41:16] So you're gonna have somebody who has a appetite for defense Who has an appetite and also has an IQ for defense and then the shot is pretty good And he's pretty confident with he does shoot a ball you'll so he does understand

[00:41:32] There is a better than two and again when you shoot it at 38.7% and you've been playing with grown men since you were like 16 years old I'm a bet on that kit

[00:41:46] A couple other guys I want to talk about because I don't think we really given them a lot of love We talked about stuff on castle a little bit but the one thing I do want to say about

[00:41:59] Castle that makes himself special is that he's over athlete and I have a real problem with Uber athletes can you do anything else? Because three point percentages not something that you can Ever get excited about he shooting 26.7% as a three point shooter as his career at UConn

[00:42:21] was only a year so I do understand that but the Defensive versatility that he provides If you put shooters around him his ability to break people down and get to the room is pretty damn special So if he can be a Consistent

[00:42:46] Put pressure on the paint guy and then kick out because that's the one thing about the UConn guys They all are looking for the better shot Now I will tell you that his people are Fashing him off as a point guard

[00:43:07] Here the stat that I've given now given it two or three times so I hope then I'm like literally shooting the horse My wife will hate this analogy because she doesn't want any horses to be shot keep that in mind

[00:43:24] It's gonna tie this whole story together at the end I promise you I promise you But he doesn't shoot it well, but he does When he has the ball in his hand Which the advanced athletic said that was 73 times this year

[00:43:42] 59 percent are 59 of those times of those attempts he shot the ball He shot it he's looking for his shot So as for a second side Paint attacker this is the type of guy you want So I would love for I don't think he can be

[00:44:06] There for Charlotte at six but they could trade up to get them and might be something We're talking about another guy that I think is gonna do well and I don't know if you guys caught his act at Tennessee Dalton connect

[00:44:21] Dalton connect is a is an order guy. Okay, he's a super senior The one thing that's due can shoot this dude can shoot it. He's six six And he can shoot it in different on the off different platforms

[00:44:37] He's gone he's not shy about it. He shot basically 40 percent last year and He doesn't need a lot of space He doesn't need a opportunity because he is always open. He is like 7 to 11 24 hours a day that dude is open but He plays as a connector

[00:44:58] He doesn't just jack off shots to jack up shots I want to hammer that point home And then the other thing that he does is that he's gonna provide that space that you want and he's not going to be

[00:45:11] Timming and shooting a ball because this is all this kid did You know I'm a go places Come off screens. I'm going to Work around the baseline Come out the other side and be ready to fire and that's what he does

[00:45:27] So Dalton connect is a guy to look out for I think he's a really good cross-quite. I think whoever gets him Automatically just his bump their team up a little bit and if he gets around the right team with a good Paint attacker

[00:45:45] to have it kick out to them I think that you're going to Get something special from Dalton connect Which brings me to another guy that I want to talk about and it's a Devon Carter Point guard out of Providence. He's a six foot three

[00:46:04] He's about 200 pounds 195 the thing that I love about Devon is This is I think my guy in the draft. I always have one a year and it's been pretty successful I've talked about doesn't vain in the past but Devon Carter to me is a guy I personally

[00:46:30] I'm going to market right now Devon Carter if he stays away from injury which he doesn't have a long history of injury But I believe that he's going to have a 10 to 12 year career in the National Basketball Association This dude can't fail

[00:46:46] He shoots he shoots it at 37.7% which is pretty risk-ractable because he shot it a lot He was a tremendous Rebounder he averaged was it 8.7 and he also averaged 20 points again this dude plays defense He is he's going to be a leader on your team like it or not

[00:47:12] And I'm not saying he's going to just take over I'm just saying hey man you You missed that cut or whatever the case. And we he just wants to win basketball games And he is athletic enough. He's big enough I definitely see Devon Carter no doubt about it

[00:47:32] Bookie right now whoever gets them great pick also Check my receipts in the decade because I will know that Devon Carter has had a fruitful career in the NBA He's probably been on some really successful teams and he's definitely going to be part Eight-man rotation no doubt

[00:47:59] And I can't wait to see what he is and also he is the son of Anthony Carter Former NBA player so we always love to see the lineage We always love to see the kids of the former players come out show out

[00:48:17] And Devon Carter to me is a can't miss Prospect in this drop class you can book it right here Vinstold you Devon Carter out of Providence Another guy that I want to get to After that scintillating squee to well Devon Carter Is Rob Dillingham of Kentucky

[00:48:40] Rob Dillingham is a six foot one 164 pound point guard now I laugh at that because you go there's no way in hell There's just no way in hell. This is gonna happen He's definitely gonna have to put on weight He's definitely gonna have he's

[00:48:59] He can't grow I don't know if he can grow hopefully can maybe he's stepping himself out I don't know but You want to talk about somebody who plays with a fearlessness

[00:49:11] You want to talk about a guy who plays with extreme confidence in himself in his ability and his ability to win his 101 matchup Rob Dillingham is your guy Okay, Rob Dillingham is going to get to the basket. There's no question about that His dribble package is

[00:49:37] I'm not going to be hyperbolic. I won't do it, but he has similar to to Jamal Crawford Similar I'll tell you a guy who he really actually reminds me of it's a faster version of it so if you If you played it at

[00:49:56] Sometimes you play your podcast at like 1.5 speed or whatever Rob Dillingham would be the 1.75 speed of a rod strickland And if you if you kids are too young to know who rod strickland is Going you to put in rod strickland highlights It will be worth it

[00:50:24] He had a stand in New York City so shout out He also had a stand in Portland and other various NBA low cows But rod Dillingham does remind me Of rod strickland

[00:50:44] Okay a couple of the guys I want to get to and then we can get it out of here and we'll have more of a robust Conversation once you've got drafted and we can get into it and I'm gonna tell you next year When this thing comes around

[00:50:58] This will be fully fleshed out. We will have water wall coverage We will have things on the website all up Then we did this year. We're gonna be a way more prepared next year but

[00:51:13] We're gonna get you the stories now and now we're gonna we're gonna look at what we did this year And get way better trust me on that to John Salon I want to talk about this kid out of France This is another another

[00:51:26] Sixth week nine. I don't know whether it's getting these kids at man Sixth week nine two hundred and twelve pound 19 year old Okay, now he played and he was more of a come off the bench type of guy

[00:51:40] He as minutes were restricted. He had just a little under ten points again Almost four reboundes again and He did not shoot it as well but people are more They love his shot more than recession shot which I

[00:51:58] Don't get but I trust other talent evaluated when they say they see something they think the shot that we'll find itself Now They say that Salon is a better defender than Rishishay now. I will say on ball He is His spatial awareness My Navi is is good

[00:52:23] But it might be just because more experience that Rishishay has Because again Rishishay Had a role but he was starting this kid was coming off the bench Even though they didn't play on the same team, but his role was way different

[00:52:39] Oh, they didn't give him any of his creation you are a defender first You are a Oh shit we got to shoot the ball now it's your turn to shoot the ball. Take we got it But I think that the athleticism place People are really

[00:52:59] Confenced at the shot world play up and I am looking forward to seeing what To John Salon does in the NBA. I can't wait to see where he goes A guy that I'm also very interested in is Jared McCain out of Duke

[00:53:17] Kevin Kane is I don't know think he's a point guard. I think he's a Bacombo guard he's a six or two six with three about 200 pounds. Oh put together This is the one thing that I like about McCain It's not that he shot 41.4% from three It was

[00:53:37] It wasn't even just the confidentiality took He knew when his team needed him To shoot he knew when his team needed him to be aggressive. He picked his spots And I thought that was interesting for somebody who was a freshman With a team that had some overclassmen

[00:53:59] But you could tell down the stretch of Duke's Season this year and going back and watching the tape He just you could see it happen towards I want to say what about six games left to go in Doof regular season

[00:54:16] You can see the culture staff have made some sort of shift in their thinking and they said here's the thing Okay, Jared McCain is going to get

[00:54:26] The lion share shots because we trust that the shot that he is going to get or the shot that he is going to create Is going to be a good quality look there's a difference between shooting percentages being good

[00:54:48] And then shooting percentages being good because you to quality looks Now whether he got it through his dribble package Oh, whether he got it through movement and finding space and Being able to work around screen and get open it doesn't matter

[00:55:12] That's how he did it and it was impressive shot of all the toy guy Jared McCain coming out of Duke. I just wanted to give him some love as we get closer and closer to this drive process

[00:55:25] Which is tomorrow another guy who's flying up the boards and I think we'll go ahead leave it with this And I want to get into him because this is something How can I put this

[00:55:38] Johnny Fumphi from Kansas he is he like a six foot eight guard. This is literally greedy dick 2.0 but I want to say something about this kid Guess he is six eight yes he is only 190 pounds

[00:55:58] But I don't know how I can say this without this some M ever in this kid This kid just He's a connector he can pass the ball He sees again like It's like a couple beads faster than other people

[00:56:19] I'm not saying he's magic Johnson of the past don't just say he can He can just get to his spots and he can find people and it seems a lot It seems very effortless he's been shooting up the draft boards He didn't have a great

[00:56:37] Year at Kansas he only average nine points again. He had was damn near of five rewounds again and like limited minutes He shot it at a respectable 35 point two what people love the shot people think that will work in the NBA

[00:56:54] And I wanted to see I want to say that it looks like Johnny Fumphi from Kansas By way of Australia so good I made I think this kid is gonna somehow sneak into the first round and I think whoever gets him it's gonna take him a second

[00:57:12] He's gone to bulk up, but I think he's going to be a real player I think he has more ability than gritty dick does. I think that you're gonna see Now gritty dick might have more upside in the actual shot But as far as

[00:57:27] Getting on the floor stand on floor because his defense Farfee can do that even at his slight build So look out for Johnny Fumphi. That's a name to look out for in this draft and then with that being said is there anybody that I want oh

[00:57:47] Kaleo where and this is the last guy promise I want the lakers to get him I Have to bring him up he's the seven footer out of Indiana But he was at Oregon the first year and he was his lost and to tell you true

[00:58:02] The or Markable turnaround he made from his freshman year to his sophomore year accredited to Mike Brooks in their staff at Indiana I Was out on this kid last year this year He shot the ball from three. He didn't shoot it a lot

[00:58:23] But in the small sample size that he did shoot it. It was at 42.5% He also average 16 points again. Yeah, there's 10 rebounds again He also average at one point five of this which is great He has some feel to the passing

[00:58:41] He can shoot it from the outside a little bit which that's the That's the enticing thing and If that shot comes around with the weak side help with the What have you with the defense? Because his job locking on point

[00:59:00] He has pretty good athleticism for a big guy. He can move his feet and he wants it He wants it he's one of those kids just

[00:59:10] Because he looked like a complete project after the first year. I'm not gonna lie to you. I thought this guy was his awful But the footwork got better. He seemed to have a better gain plan over his right shoulder left shoulder He also seemed to be able to

[00:59:27] Stand you up and front face you towards the rim and be able to get into his stuff So there's a lot to his game that I like but the defense is what's going to get him on the court

[00:59:40] This is the defense that is what's gonna keep him on the court and then here's the other thing he is a Forrocious rebounder So Kalea where is a send footer 230 out of Indiana

[00:59:56] I want him to be a laker. I am sure my heart will be broken after this draft because all the guys I'll ever want it for the lakers to get since Kobe Rp our guy We just haven't been able to get

[01:00:13] I haven't been really happy with a draft And a long time so with that being said we like to go ahead and again re-innerate x at front runner PC Please get on that we are followers have gone up so thank you for the people who have joined up
