[00:00:00] All right guys welcome to Front Runner Podcast Collective. It is Wednesday, it is 457 pm Pacific

[00:00:18] Daylight Standard Time and we are here to talk about basketball. I am your humble host Vince.

[00:00:26] What's up? Let's hit the socials right. X at Front Runner PC, make sure you are tapped in there. I am trying to do a better job of just posting stuff or commenting on stuff or whatever.

[00:00:44] I am more of a what is it? A counter Twitter guy. Right. I could have just stuff out, but I need to start putting more stuff out. But follow there. The other thing is keep locked is the YouTube channel. Make sure you are locked on with that.

[00:01:06] Front Runner Podcast Collective, like, subscribe, comment below, turn the notifications on all that jazz. And then also make sure that you are following the podcast on Apple Spotify or Amazon Music, I heart radio, Pandora, wherever.

[00:01:27] Everywhere man. That's what we do at this point. We're just everywhere. So just get that locked in and you'll be set. All right on today's show, we are going to talk about a lot of things. We're going to hit some real critical things right off the bat. Unfortunately, we got to talk about two like negative things right off the bat first and foremost.

[00:01:52] How do I press is drain my green in the Orlando Magic game has been ejected in the first three minutes of the ballgame. He got two technical files like back to back and he's been ejected. So I don't know what this means for his suspension.

[00:02:13] We will have a Friday show. Remember we're going to three days a week now, three days. So whenever we get news on the dream on situation, you'll know about it and we'll have hopefully more in-depth information to give you on Friday and go from there.

[00:02:34] So let's get that out the way. So that just literally happened in the Orlando Golden State game and that game is currently 4127 in the second quarter with the warriors up by 14. So they're handling business even without drake my at this present time.

[00:02:57] So we got to talk about this today guys. Unfortunately, there has been some some some scandal that goes on in basketball. I'm sure you guys are heard about it the John Tamerry story, John Tamerry, the John Tamerre Porter story.

[00:03:14] It seems like he's firmly in the crosshairs of the NBA. The gang will entities sniff this one out really quickly with Porter's under as a prop bet was the biggest money winner from the game that night against the clippers.

[00:03:31] The bookmaker is noticed Porter was highly wager prop bet on multiple occasions. And now we find out how gentler NBA commissioner Adam Silver really is because this is one of those that unfortunately, there's no way to be gentle about this one.

[00:03:57] And the reason why is because of the fact that what's the first rule audience was a first rule don't mess with the money.

[00:04:08] Do not mess with the cash NBA NFL UFC college courts.

[00:04:18] They're all in bed with the gambling entities at this point. We all know about them. I want to have a sponsor of Fandall or draft King soon.

[00:04:33] So we all know about it. It's part of the lexicon of sports at this present time. And this is one of those that you have to just go ahead and nip in the butt right away.

[00:04:47] But I do want to say that this isn't new for the guys or for the women out there who are looking at the situation and thinking to themselves, well you know this wasn't really a problem until these you know these betting apps came along.

[00:05:04] Not true. Let me give you a quick history.

[00:05:08] We have the black socks of the early 1900s who fixed a world series.

[00:05:15] We have in the NFL Paul Horning and Alex Caris in the 1950s. There was a Arizona State College basketball court shaving incident in the 80s also think Boston College had one as well.

[00:05:31] And then the big one that happened in the 2000s was the NBA referee Tim Donahay.

[00:05:39] It looked like he was point shaving or whatever the case may be. But David Stern got word that the feds were moving into do a full blown investigation and he popped that guy right away.

[00:05:54] Like a stone cold gangster NBA commissioner at that time David Stern fired Tim Tim Donahay on the spot.

[00:06:07] And then they basically what they said at that point in time was that it was a world official acting alone you know we've heard some stories in America we've heard about a magic bullet.

[00:06:21] We've heard you know you know this this random gunman you know shoots Martin Luther King Jr.

[00:06:34] You know no conspiracy theories here whatsoever but it doesn't ring true but David Stern ruled the NBA with an iron fist and since Adam Silver has gotten the job.

[00:06:49] He's definitely made a lot of inroads with the players and he you know the players call him a player friendly commissioner which is great up until now.

[00:07:01] You know we were we were pissing him on in about the NBA all star game and how a terrible product it is you know he's kind of been.

[00:07:12] You know hand you know hand ring his hands and all this other stuff to you know try to change it but this one because of what the money is involved there's no way that I believe that Adam Silver is going to have to put his big boy pants on.

[00:07:32] And he's going to give John tape Porter a lifetime band he's going to send a message without taking out a prominent NBA player I believe that that's what I believe is that this is one where it's easy.

[00:07:47] He is not like John tape Murray is a you know a six man.

[00:07:54] The year candidate is not that John tape Murray or John tape Porter is a you know a prominent starter on an NBA team that's going to the playoffs you know he is a nice guy on a team that is going to lottery so this is easy pop you know easy kill.

[00:08:13] You go ahead get this one out the way and then you set it set it set a tone say listen i'm going to tell you right now if I get a witness by anybody else.

[00:08:23] You see what happened here.

[00:08:26] Good luck playing in China or Australia or Spain or wherever it is that you're going to end up playing but you not going to be playing in the NBA anymore I know that so I am i'm looking forward to it you know.

[00:08:42] I will not expect some sort of like the things that we've seen out of silver in the past i'm not going to expect some sort of nebulous time frame and go find yourself and you know deal here i don't believe that to be true.

[00:08:58] I know that a lot of people make jokes about Adam silver and how kind of touchy fairly he is you know with feelings and stuff like that but I think no.

[00:09:09] This will be swift and I think this will be cold and I think this will be completely opposite of who Adam silver has been in his tenure as commissioner on the NBA.

[00:09:22] So we we here at frcrc or saying to Adam silver go ahead and you know bring out something your inner Roger cadet or the late great ex commissioner Davis starting go ahead and summon that and go ahead and do what needs to be done.

[00:09:45] Alright couple moves items that we need to get into the new york nicks are getting big man Mitchell Robinson back this is great we just talked about this in the last pod so go to the archive pods and get that part those good to like that one.

[00:10:06] But Mitchell Robinson has been out for a while this is a absolute great situation for the nicks because other than randal it looks like we're getting healthy and I know the new york Nick fans with blue and orange skies with their teams in the air.

[00:10:33] All having a blast and they're getting one of their favorite sons back Mitchell Robinson is good to see that brother back in as good to see I think this is very very important he gets 10 games underneath his bow now I don't know if he'll be on some sort of minute restriction that news did not come out I don't know if he'll be able to do back to back games but if he's able to get eight.

[00:11:03] To 10 of these games in before the playoffs and we'll knock some of the rest off look out the nicks were already potent and this just makes them even more dangerous in the playoffs and that's my belief when it comes to that.

[00:11:23] I have a quick little note for you guys and this is to give more love to my brethren in the new york area.

[00:11:33] Okay.

[00:11:35] Our jailing Bronson is fifth among all NBA players in point scored so that list goes Luca donches sga yonis antitacumpo Jason Tatum and then New York nick of rocker jalen Bronson.

[00:11:59] Jim Bronson has 1800 and eight total points right now I mean.

[00:12:06] I know we've said it on this pie before and I'll say it again and actually let me go ahead and go on a tangent here because a guy on that list is somebody I want to bring up on this.

[00:12:20] Is it fair to start asking what actually works with Luca now on a previous product while how.

[00:12:29] It's worked so well with kairi and and and Luca now given that respect level between those two.

[00:12:40] Maybe that was just a easier parent but Bronson is is out playing kairi he is I mean now I know he would not be able to do what he's doing in Dallas.

[00:12:58] I understand that part I get it there's nuance to this but the Christ that you had to pay to get kairi and you have somebody similar in the building.

[00:13:10] It just seems to me like you know that was that was a miss and with the tenuous nature of where the mavericks are in sense of draft capital.

[00:13:23] That we might look back at that situation as the catalyst for a Luca exiting Dallas now you know I know this sounds like Debbie Downer to the to the Dallas folks but.

[00:13:40] The next fans are appreciative of you guys following the bag so you know so the next fans are super appreciative of you guys doing that and now they have a leader of their team.

[00:13:53] And the great thing about this is that generally grunts us to have the type of guy where let's say for some reason let's get a little crazy New York fan right.

[00:14:06] Let's say please don't aggregate me on this but let's just throw some kindness guy stuff out there let's say for some reason Boston doesn't get to the finals right Boston somehow flames out second round first round whatever and then there's a real debate between you know Tatum ground and they have to split those two up right.

[00:14:33] And let's say it's Tatum let's say it is actually Jason Tatum that's the one to go now Boston fans don't get at me I'm not saying this is going to happen this is an analogy well saying is is that we are always a truncated playoff run away from a disgruntled superstar and the next have the perfect guard in Jalen Brunson to be.

[00:15:03] So this guy is number one I can slide into my number two roles still do what I do I've already played with Luca I know how to be able to still get my shot and I think the game not just a game is slow down for Jalen but I think he's so extremely comfortable.

[00:15:23] And even if there was a star that came into the New York franchise I still think that's going to be Jalen Brunson's team no matter what so the hard and slow of the mix is also doing the job scoring the basketball he's fifth in the NBA so good on Jalen Brunson now we still don't have any time table on Julius Randall

[00:15:51] we did effort to get some sort of legitimate time table but there's it's been mom there as a podcast we're praying for better news the fact is time is running out and as far as building cohesion and chemistry the most important item is Randall being fully healthy though right.

[00:16:17] We might not be able to get Randall back maybe in the first series maybe New York has to go it without him in the first series and then get him back in the second series who knows but here's what I will say about Julius Randall and that shoulder.

[00:16:37] And this is why I think it's imperative that he comes back completely healthy that shoulder needs to be completely right due to the physical style that Randall to place with.

[00:16:51] The team has been given good now the teams have been given good effort without their star because I want to get into that a little bit on the games last night and actually Monday.

[00:17:04] And I want to start with the Monday game because it was ridiculous because after I got off the pot I got to check this game out and now you know we all know that Atlanta Hawks are missing trade young we all know that you know we're hoping to get them back before the playoffs or whatever the case to plan.

[00:17:25] If they can get in we'll see how it all works out now the Atlanta Hawks had a 30 point comeback on the Boston Celtics on Monday 30 points man.

[00:17:42] You allow the team to come back from 30 points kudos to first of all let's give some flowers to Deandre Hunter.

[00:17:50] I thought that we might have to put some sort of like Amber alert out for him it just he just showed up he just showed up and he contributed 24 points he was four of eight computing from three and he helped the the Hawks cause in the comeback effort.

[00:18:12] I know this is someone who follows the sport these these instances of blowing leads make me question Tatum's ability to reach that that elite tier of player now I know that Tiger Balak to say on a podcast it's my podcast I do whatever hell I want.

[00:18:42] At the end of the day I do have a question because this is not the first time that there's been an exorbitant lead blown by the Celtics I think they've had like you know four or five 15 plus point leads disappear on them this year.

[00:19:01] And my problem with this is is this is that I understand that Tatum is 26 years of age I do understand that he junk but he's been a lead for a while now and I'm wondering.

[00:19:16] I'm just wondering when it's going to click for him and now he's asking a question he's wondering when he's going to receive all the acclaim in the MVP consideration and then my question is this when you stop blowing leads JT.

[00:19:33] When you stop blowing leads of 30 have a multiple of these in your in your portfolio this year my man does not grow well for you.

[00:19:44] So you can't win MVP's if your team yes your team is phenomenal they're the best reckoning lead they're going to be the number one seed in the east and you should be in the NBA finals and then you can prove your where's there but along the way along the way through this this minefield that is the NBA season.

[00:20:10] You can't have four or five games where you have these huge leads and they're blown so that's my answer to Jason Tatum's talk process on whether he should be in MVP consideration or not.

[00:20:28] Here's the other thing you have these four or five losses on your portfolio now usually all time great.

[00:20:35] You know somebody who considers themselves be in that like top three range you know every single year they might have one of these a year right where game gets loose you have by like 25 game gets loose team gets hot they come back and win.

[00:20:59] But the elite here that somehow sticks in their head for the rest of the year and that never happens now leads get blown but else taking actual else the elite tier don't allow that to happen not multiple times a year you might catch me with the banana until five once but you are not catching me twice.

[00:21:29] So that's our little rant on Jason Tatum but good looks to Atlanta coming back and devastating.

[00:21:39] The Boston Celtics now we're going to move on to the second game and of course you're going to have to indulge me a little bit because it was the Laker gang but.

[00:21:49] We got to talk about it not talk about the Milwaukee Brooks go to what the Lakers and we got to talk about who was not playing in that game now if you weren't with the last podcast okay if you were not with the last podcast this might go over your head so.

[00:22:15] For the for the folks who are listening and been listening since day one you guys know what about say for the folks who are new to the podcast welcome.

[00:22:26] We have given the moniker to LeBron James as blue James now again I'll go through the story it's from the character in old school the old.

[00:22:44] Veteran blue which will fail character you know points out that.

[00:22:52] His boy is blue which gives us the famous quote you.

[00:22:58] You know right okay so James is called Blue James so if I refer to him as that that's the reason why okay so.

[00:23:09] Blue James didn't play and the game against Milwaukee it turned out to be a two overtime thriller if you saw the game it was ridiculous there were this crazy shots real defense being played real people getting after it and I enjoyed all of it but.

[00:23:30] There were just there were just after just great performances all the way through the roster AD play 52 minutes he had 34 points he had 23 rebounds he also have four blocks and also AD took eight three point shots.

[00:23:49] In the game against Milwaukee last night he was three of eight listen I'm not saying i'm not saying it i'm not I need to see a huge.

[00:24:02] Turn of a I need to see a huge turnaround a 180 let me tell you right now this dude is going to start shooting three of eight from three I might have to reconsider my thought process on the lakeers but we digress.

[00:24:17] Deangelo Russell D. Low had 50 minutes 29 points seven rebounds 12 assists and then our guy Austin Reeves he played 48 minutes 29 points 14 rebounds tennis is career first career triple double often reads that's our guy you know we love it that's our dude and also I will say this.

[00:24:44] Before we get into like the glaring stat of the night but I will say this Austin Reeves over the last five to six weeks has been being terrorized by guards in the lead right they've been y'all been hunting him.

[00:25:01] Y'all have been hunting him.

[00:25:04] But last night. My guy.

[00:25:08] My guy came to play so good Austin very happy to see that and the leggers pick up the dog in that game which is very important every when is important even though they are in the ninth seat still two games behind.

[00:25:26] Sacramento and I believe Dallas as well so the the glaring stat of the night was this the lakeers went to the free throw line 32 times.

[00:25:38] Okay now you say well Vince what's wrong with that there's nothing wrong with that and I'll tell you why in a second but the lakeers also converted on all but two of those free throws so they were 30 of 32 in the game the lakeers out rebounded.

[00:25:55] A honest lead bucks team to the tune of 69 to 61 that's great effort on the boards and we all it also was indicated earlier when we gave out this that's on a D D low and Reeves some other guys pitched in as well but those are the three standouts for the night now the thing that I we want to talk about is just discrepancy of the free throws because the liquor shot 32.

[00:26:22] And the Milwaukee buck shot 17 now Milwaukee I'm getting you love in the past so don't don't hate on me when I say this I know it looks bad but other than your honest and court is and sometimes damn who else on that team goes to the whole anybody.

[00:26:45] Let's look at it.

[00:26:48] All right we got low pass who's like a three point shooter and you know you'll you know he'll not take laws but they duck it into the darker spot he can get loose and get a shot off or whatever case I'd be.

[00:27:03] When you have Michael yeah you have beastly Malik beastly he's a three point shooter you have Chris middle 10 he's a mid range and spot out guy.

[00:27:13] And then everybody else you know con not in he's like a you know spot up shooter.

[00:27:21] J Crowder spot up shooter there's not a lot of people who are diving into the paint and getting purposeful paint touches so if that's not happening.

[00:27:32] Then you're not going to get more than 17 free throws and you're going to get doubled up by a team that definitely gets purposeful paint touches in the lakers.

[00:27:45] Okay.

[00:27:48] The next thing that we are going to talk about is things I've seen over the years things that I've seen seen and you know prognosticate wrong and what have you but I want to I want to key you into one particular type of player pugnacious as a pugnacious appetite for learning about the inner workings of the game.

[00:28:17] You know I really tried to get involved in the draft process and seek people out and get to know trainers and things of that nature.

[00:28:30] And you know I'm going blessed to know a couple people here and there and in that situation I have a blind spot and I can tell you exactly where the blind spot started.

[00:28:45] So I'm going to take you back to probably 1982 83 and Dominic Wilkins comes on the scene for the first time right.

[00:28:58] And then two years after Michael Jordan also comes on the scene.

[00:29:05] And from that point you know we were just fascinated we were just for lack of a better time we were spelled out by the elevation by the artistry by the power of the dark and for the longest time I had a blind spot as it pertains to my scouting.

[00:29:29] Now i'm not an expert I wouldn't tell you whatever but I've been following draft for a long period of time I've been trying to scout these guys independently for a long period of time you know now.

[00:29:41] You know I got a little little access to a couple more things and you know give bless with a couple extra pieces of nuggets and been able to hang out with a couple of scouts here and there so.

[00:29:55] You know I know a little bit more what to look for you hone in as you go and you start trying to get a keen or eye for these things but nobody's 100% so somebody tells you they're 100% then line to you.

[00:30:10] But we try to give you authentic presentation here or what we see what we don't see and everything in between.

[00:30:21] And as we grow we want to get better with that like we want to infuse analytics into it like I know a couple people that you know if I need to pull up with stat or if my eyes are showing me something I can go to a couple people and get that which is great now.

[00:30:41] But again I have a blind spot and that blind spot is one particular archetype and it's the six six to six eight uber athletic wing.

[00:30:56] And in the last couple years I sworn off of them I have sworn off of those guys anybody super athletic.

[00:31:06] And what I mean by that and there's a real particular in this to this it's the guy who literally has no other skill but they're just crazy athletic they should be good at basketball because they're athletic they can catch the ball you know they you know they can drill but you know for some reason they're not killing it in the g lead they're not killing it in the college basketball or they're not killing it overseas.

[00:31:35] Right and I'll tell you right now there's a guy in this in this draft class his name is Ron Holland this dude is super super athletic he's six eight he's all of six eight by the way.

[00:31:53] He has an NBA body now and he kind of reminds a lot of people can't whip more but can't whip more has creation his defensive IQ and he can shoot the ball and see this is my problem it's the athletic wing who can't shoot the ball there was my blind spot there was a weakness but I will not fall for it again.

[00:32:22] But they're pure athlete is it's just it's that archetype it's just so hard for me to sit here and be excited and here's the thing here's the thing that I want to kind of kind of get to the to the crux of a matter.

[00:32:40] You know we've seen all the measurements like I said he's he's all of six eight he jumps out the out to Jim.

[00:32:49] Ron Holland's Ron Holland is a specimen he already has an NBA ready body but I'm going to need one other skill set other than Uber athlete that translates to the next level before I get hyped up about this dude.

[00:33:08] And that's why I'm out with this now.

[00:33:13] I understand my people on the internet will be like Vince you don't know what you talking about because you know we've seen this happen in the league Uber athletes are great they do it all blah blah blah blah so I know the names that you're going to throw out there okay.

[00:33:31] Yes you can show me a Jalen Brown and yes you can show me a Jonathan Caminga.

[00:33:41] As superstar athletes that turn into good and we are superior athletes they turned into really really good NBA players and actually Jalen's a max guy so you know it's all worked out for him.

[00:33:58] But for every Kalinga there's a practical Williams Chicago fans.

[00:34:08] What was fans was it too soon I'm sorry but you know what I'm talking about and for every Jalen Brown there's a Cam Reddish or even better even raise you one a Jared cover so maybe I'm on.

[00:34:27] Maybe I'll be completely wrong on my Holland.

[00:34:33] I have no problem with that but it's difficult for me to be enamored with all the physical tools without practical application of said physical tools.

[00:34:46] So I'll say that again it is really it is really hard for me to get super excited about a guy who has all these physical tools who will test absolutely well if he does test at the combine you will test remarkably well but as soon as they start doing scrimmages or somebody some real.

[00:35:14] Um efficient guy from some major is going to eat him up so good luck with that I will tell you this he has all the tools.

[00:35:29] You can't there's nothing right now did I see that he is going to be like elite at right now now again.

[00:35:43] I haven't done a complete report on Holland so I want to make sure I you know do a fair report I want to make sure like I want to know the kid I want to know you know what how cultural is and things of that nature what's his likes this likes and things of that nature.

[00:36:01] April 21st is the drop dead dead lying that you know will have something out some sort of big board where we have like 30 40 prospects on there and then add as we go as we closer and closer to the draft so that is my promise to you.

[00:36:16] And I'm working on it as steadfastly as I possibly can at this present moment so.

[00:36:22] Look for that on the website and that's at front runner pc dot com the other thing is this is that if you are one of the teams that are in the top I will say top seven top seven eight.

[00:36:36] You're one of those teams and you start looking at YouTube clips of Ron Holland you are going to absolutely falling love with him.

[00:36:46] Okay because the clips are seductive.

[00:36:50] There's no other way to put it they're absolutely seductive but I will caution you if you are one of those teams in the top seven or eight there are a ton of guys that have that type of theoretical talent.

[00:37:06] But here for my question we always look at that theoretical talent that Uber athlete and we go if it all comes together that's always.

[00:37:15] That's always the terminology we use if it all comes together this is who he could be.

[00:37:22] If it all comes together he could be this if it all comes together it's going to be dope right.

[00:37:31] I went back to 2000 okay I want you to know I work hard for my listeners I work hard for the audience so I went back to 2000.

[00:37:44] I'm going to give you a list of names of some athletic guys you tell me what kind of careers they had 2000.

[00:37:53] Darius Miles from St. Louis High School.

[00:37:57] Darius Miles was a physical specimen it was like KD before KD never panned out.

[00:38:09] Another one Eddie Griffin Eddie Griffin has a socks bar in my heart go haul seat and haul 2001 this dude in college was.

[00:38:22] Oh now he got in some off the court trouble or whatever um but super athletic never made it never made it in the NBA.

[00:38:35] 2002 really wasn't really a good year for like Uber athlete 2003 we had a great draft we had LeBron you know this was the mellow draft the way whatever case would be so we'll just skip over that.

[00:38:48] 2004 Josh Childress Atlanta fans y'all remember Josh Childress that you do 2005.

[00:39:00] Barvin Williams out of UNC 6 9 240 jump high.

[00:39:10] Ex-Besonin had a supposedly had a jumper that we never saw never saw it Marvin Williams.

[00:39:22] We got one list here um 2006 this is one of my favorites by the way.

[00:39:30] Tires Thomas Chicago fans again too soon 2006 out of LSU this dude 686 9 big jump out the building 240 they thought he could shoot it but even at that time they weren't really like all you got shoot 3's and whatever but.

[00:39:51] Tires Thomas was supposed to be a player in this league never found out 2007.

[00:40:00] Jeff Green here's the thing about Jeff Green at I love Jeff Green out of Georgetown here's the thing when he came into league 6 9 jump out the building had all the skills could pass it shoot it all of it.

[00:40:17] Jeff Green as good a pro as he's been and he's had so much longevity never got to that upper echelon level so when we say again man he got all the physical tools if it all comes together that's the key word.

[00:40:37] Alright now we move on to 2008 we got it we got a duo here and this is bringing up some this is bringing up some memories because I love this guy Michael Beasley out of Kansas state y'all remember Michael Beasley how tough he was at Kansas state how much of a monster we thought he was going to be.

[00:41:01] OJ male USC fans wait for the team rules right and the bucks I believe right okay OJ male they thought this was like the next Jordan OJ male.

[00:41:21] 2010 Alfa Rook Amino out of Wake Forest here was a 6 foot 9 220 pound long armed super quick twitchy athletic dude they thought they could get him to shoot it a little bit and they thought he was just going to be an absolute terror for years to come.

[00:41:46] And he was basically part of a bench rotation. Xavier Henry.

[00:41:53] Xavier Henry out of Kansas oh my god everybody saw he was going to be just this crazy put 25 on the on the.

[00:42:06] He was going to put a 25 a night he was just going to give it to you buckets on top of buckets never made it out 2011 Derek Williams out of Arizona does everybody remember the run.

[00:42:24] In March madness that Derek Williams had here's a 6 foot 9 230 235 pound guy who can handle the ball shoot it a little bit block shots everything they thought this dude was going to be a monster in the NBA.

[00:42:42] Now here is the one that everybody brings up here's the one that everybody brings up Michael kid Gilchrist.

[00:42:56] Michael kid Gilchrist is the poster boy for more athlete.

[00:43:03] If it all comes together this all going to work out none of it came together Charlotte.

[00:43:11] Oh y'all y'all fast on a going man auto quarter junior of Georgetown in 2013 as well that's a double dip no Gilchrist was in 2012 auto quarter junior was in 2013.

[00:43:25] Victor a little deeper we put on this list and it's now his is more tragic injuries messed him up but we were still waiting for him to put it together you know he got traded the cup of times before it locked in for him.

[00:43:40] It in the injuries to go over here's another post a boy for Uber athlete and if it all comes together you can actually probably look this up in the dictionary and I'll have his picture does everybody remember Stanley Johnson Arizona in lead did didn't work out great for Stanley in late.

[00:44:07] 2016 Ben Simmons I mean we know right 2017 Josh Jackson out of Kansas 6869 put it on the floor gun block shots all well we know the shots going come he there's no way somebody that athletic is not going to shoot right then 2018

[00:44:35] and he's going to be marching badly the third also 2019 that's the Jared Colver 2020 Patrick Williams sorry Chicago fans for bringing them up twice and in 2021 Zaya volumes out of Stanford all physical specimen all freaks of nature athletes whatever the case may be never turned out to really reach any other potential.

[00:45:02] I'm going to go and get a little bit more scattered throughout the universe the NBA universe all these type of guys so when I'm trying to tell you is before you get completely immersed in the YouTube clips of our man Ron Highland.

[00:45:21] Look at the shot okay look at the shot and also he doesn't create on his own he needs to be force fed that makes him a four and it the way the game is going you kind of need do so can handle the ball all throughout your lineup so is Ron Holland is nothing but a bench.

[00:45:51] This guy at the end of the day and can you take a bench guy all be it as Uber talented is Uber athletic is Ron Holland could you eventually end up taking a bench guy with a number five pick or number six picking a drought now that's the question you got to ask yourself these are the questions that the player personnel people are asking themselves.

[00:46:18] We talked about early on in the show how holistically we want to be about our podcasts and I want to tell you that's what player personnel people are saying to themselves when they look at some of these dudes in the draft so.

[00:46:33] You know we don't want to paint a picture for you that is you know bleak but we also want to paint a picture that is based out of some reality and given this long list that we're giving you about some of the Uber talented guys that have come out and how excited we were when they came out on their particular draft day it just hasn't turned out and I think sometimes.

[00:47:03] The more steady Eddie person is the best person and that's the guy who stays in the league for a long time.

[00:47:11] Shots out to high my high me high cas junior you know Zen.

[00:47:16] High me high cas junior going to stay in league for a decade player you know why because he can get shot in place on little D he can get to his little spot to the floor.

[00:47:30] He's not the quickest dude you don't jump like a bold square you know on the record but you know I play basketball so.

[00:47:43] You know not again we're going to have more draft coverage it's not all going to be like this but I think it's always fair to go down the road and see you know history gives us a really good indication of what's going to come.

[00:47:59] Up next right and I think sometimes we can take a look back and do some self scouting and see where we might have made some mistakes or where the blind spots are and then start making better decisions on who we think is really going to be viable in the NBA.

[00:48:19] Right and that's what it comes down to so i'm glad that we could kind of go ahead and do that thank you guys again remember you.
