[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: we talked about J. Nive II in the Detroit clip and in the

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Be a friend tell a friend
[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Now on the last episode we talked about
[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: That we should be going over
[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_00]: the record amount
[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm here to tell you you guys have done it
[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Not only have you gone over the record now only is it before her my birthday?
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: It is also we're at 1500 downloads. So
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a small ripple, you know in a big ocean what I am
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Humble by the record-setting numbers the producers are jazzed and
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: we thank every last one of you for being a part of the program and
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Also being a friend and tell it a friend about the podcast. So thank you guys for that
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: and
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: it's wild to me because
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_00]: You know you look at your numbers sometimes and then you see like there's somebody downloading the podcast in
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Ghana and then there's somebody downloading the podcast in Hong Kong so
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And also all over the United States of America, which is crazy to me so
[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Again, thank you for being a part of this journey
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: we are excited and
[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Now we can go ahead and get into
[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_00]: This podcast. So first and foremost, we're gonna talk about the Memphis Grizzlies now last year
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously the Memphis Grizzlies had a ton of injuries. We had John Morant
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Desmond Payne went out with injury. We also lost Jaron Jackson jr. Towards the end of the year
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It was a complete math unit
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So I mean really you couldn't gain a lot from last season
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But when the Memphis Grizzlies are whole
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: They're one of the most exciting young teams in the NBA known for their grit and grime mentality coupled with their youthful
[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_00]: exuberance
[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_00]: That has made them a fixture in the Western Conference Playoff race
[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: This offseason didn't make they didn't make any blockbuster moves
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_00]: But they did make some strategic moves that could pay off in
[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_00]: The long run their biggest move was basically their selection in the
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: 2024 NBA draft and with the ninth overall selection they took Purdue
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00]: All-american and also
[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_00]: John wouldn't award winner Zack Eady the seven foot four
[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Center out of Purdue now I will tell you that when
[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: We first start looking at Zack Eady as a prospect I
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Was not excited. I was not excited about the latter quickness. I was not excited about
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Just the plotting nature and just understanding where we kind of think the NBA is going
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: now as the season continued as
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_00]: The report started to kind of flow in and you start to hear NBA scouts going well hold on
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, the hands are great
[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_00]: There's command of the basketball where he can pass it
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Get it out of double teams, but he's just so big that
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_00]: He's able to dominate now
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Zack Eady is walking into the NBA at seven foot four three hundred pounds. So as far as physicality
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_00]: He's not gonna really have any
[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: issues with any of that
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Basically what his transition will be is he dominated in the college game?
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_00]: he won player of the year twice and
[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_00]: The concerns will be is can his game translate to the NBA now the
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Decise the defensive potential is there as far as a drop cover center
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to be somebody you can sit there and move
[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Around the court, but as a drop center he would be very imposing at the rim
[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_00]: The question will be will he be able to keep up the pace of
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_00]: What the NBA has to offer because there's a lot of speed in the NBA. There's a lot of athleticism
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_00]: athleticism in the NBA and I wonder if foul trouble is going to be issue for Zack Eady
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_00]: This is what one scout pointed out though Eady size alone makes him a potential game changer
[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_00]: especially on the defense
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_00]: In rebounding, but he will need to adapt quickly to the NBA speed and physicality
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_00]: His summer league performance gave us a glimpse of what he can offer
[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_00]: particularly in shot blocking and
[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Rebounding but also highlighted areas where he needs to improve like his footwork and conditioning
[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Zack Lowe on
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Memphis
[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: No, we love our guys at low the Grizzlies continue to bet on upside long-term potential
[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Which could pay off if Eady and their other young players develop as expected?
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_00]: What by focusing on internal growth rather than making a big splash in free agency?
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_00]: They're putting a lot of pressure on their young core like John Moran
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Desmond being to carry the load
[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Now
[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Memphis hasn't made a trade
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_00]: not a really big trade to kind of
[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Cure what yields them because what has now last year again? It's just a wash
[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_00]: There was just a ton of injuries a couple years ago
[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_00]: We had the job situation with all the guns and whatever the case may be
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So we've had two seasons in a row where it's been basically a failure to launch
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_00]: So now we're hoping that this core that we've been hoping to see
[00:08:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Can come back and kind of recapture
[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_00]: What they had?
[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_00]: During the playoff run a couple years ago when they were battling
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_00]: the Golden State Warriors and things of that nature, so
[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_00]: They are extremely talented they have a lot of weapons
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_00]: They have high high caliber
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_00]: offensive weapons they also have
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Potentially one of the one of the best defenders in the league and we'll get to him momentarily but
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_00]: The Grizzlies are banking on
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Continued development of their core which brings us to the next topic
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_00]: now
[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_00]: John Morant is
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_00]: the face of the franchise
[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_00]: He has when he's on the court he has been nothing but spectacular
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_00]: When healthy he's averaging 26.2 points a game 8.1 assists a game in 5.9 rebounds now
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Keep in mind what John Morant is that
[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_00]: He is 6 foot 2 6 foot 3 and like a buck 85
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00]: He has incredible incredible bounce right
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_00]: the 5.9 rebounds is an indication of how gritty and
[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Basically how competitive this is this young man is
[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_00]: There's never been a issue with John Morant and his talent
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_00]: That has been on display and it has been crystal clear about what kind of talent he is
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_00]: He is a transcendent talent
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_00]: The problem is is twofold one
[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm not gonna bring up old stuff
[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_00]: but
[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_00]: We hope
[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: that all of the off-the-court situations are
[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Now well in the rearview mirror
[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the second thing is this and this was a thing that they talked about
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Even before the injury
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_00]: John Morant he plays at such a breakneck speed
[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: He plays with a reckless abandon
[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: he believes he can jump over pretty much any center in the lead and
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_00]: with that
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Senui frame that he has is
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_00]: this a
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_00]: recipe for long-term success or
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Does he have to learn how to throttle down?
[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Now did this injury?
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Basically make him throttle down a little bit. Are we gonna see the same explosion out of John Morant that we saw
[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_00]: prior to the injury
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it takes a little while we don't know but these are all things that are pre
[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Camp observations are for so we can kind of talk these things through
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_00]: before
[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_00]: We actually see what's gonna go on the court
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Because these are the things that you're gonna look for as a Memphis Grizzly fan or as a John Morant fan as a whole
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_00]: now
[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_00]: His advanced metrics and we're still speaking about John Morant
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_00]: his advanced measures are just as impressive with the player efficiency rating of
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_00]: 23.7 putting him among the league leagues elite Morant's
[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Ecosimness and ability to control his tempo
[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_00]: It just makes him a nightmare to guard, you know, it just is he's hard to stay in in front of
[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's just absolutely a nightmare to keep him out of lane once he wants to go
[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Especially if he's knocking down the shot
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Zach low recently
[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Basically said if John Morant can stay healthy and continue to evolve as a leader, there's no ceiling for how hot out
[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_00]: How far he can take this team?
[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Desmond Bain is another crucial piece to the Grizzlies puzzle though
[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_00]: His shooting has been a revelation for Memphis providing much needed spacing around John Morant last season
[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Desmond Bain shot 40.8 percent from three
[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_00]: He had effective field goal percentage of
[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_00]: 57.3 percent his ability to stretch the floor opens up the driving lanes for Morant, which those are critical
[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_00]: And it makes the Grizzlies offense much more dynamic Chris Vernon who is a longtime
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_00]: He does like the pre and post game for the Grizzlies
[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He pointed out that Bain is a perfect compliment to Morant
[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_00]: He spaces the floor and can take over games with his shooting
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_00]: His continued growth is vital in Memphis as well
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00]: now with Bain
[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_00]: This guy right here. I have loved him one since he was a prospect coming into the draft
[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: he was one of our guys that we thought that we earmarked him for greatness and
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: We've had a pretty good track record in that now we missed a couple times but
[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_00]: We have pretty much. I think it's probably well kicking out about 80% right now, so pretty good record there
[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_00]: But Bain is going to be important this year
[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Because remember we still didn't get to see the whole
[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Marcus Smart
[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_00]: John Morant Desmond Bain
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Situation and how that was gonna work out
[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_00]: keep in mind too and we haven't got to this point, but
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_00]: The problem with Memphis the the real issue now
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Granted they needed the big and they did get the big with the ninth overall selection in Zach Eady
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_00]: But the other thing that they have been trying to fill in that puzzle is
[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_00]: The person who is going to play that other wing position
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So you got Jaren Jackson jr. Okay, you got Desmond Bain
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_00]: You got John Morant when healthy right?
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Now that center has been Stephen Adams that center has been Jonas Valanchunas
[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So there's always been a big burly guy there
[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so this season will be no exception
[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_00]: So you have you have a Zach Eady there the other
[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_00]: forward spot has been an issue in Memphis for like the last five years now
[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_00]: they've been able to kind of
[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Massage it Dylan Brooks played that role for a while and
[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Remember now if you have Marcus Smart is he coming off the bench?
[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Is he taking over the Tice Jones role?
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Or is he going to be a starter you move Bain to the three position which he can guard up
[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_00]: But you lose you lose a little defense there. Let's let's be honest
[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_00]: But because of the fact that you have Jaren Jackson jr. You have John Morant and Marcus Smart
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Does that now?
[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_00]: funnel everything to Zach Eady who's gonna be playing nothing but drop coverage and
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Then
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Does it just make the and then having Jaren Jackson jr. Know for a fact that he is going to be weak side help
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_00]: He will play center
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Sparingly or if Zach Eady is in foul trouble and also
[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Remember they get Brandon Clark back as well. He tore the Achilles
[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_00]: This is a couple seasons ago, but he tore it late
[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_00]: In the season so he had to miss all of last year
[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So now you're getting a lot of your depth back and also your depth at the at the big position
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_00]: And we still haven't even talked about Jaren Jackson jr. Who we are about to talk about right now
[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_00]: So Jaren Jackson jr. Is the defensive anchor of this team Jaren Jackson jr.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Has let it led the league in blocks with three of them last year
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_00]: He had a defensive rating of a hundred and three point eight
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_00]: That's outstanding
[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_00]: His ability to protect a rim and defend multiple positions
[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Makes him this indispensable for Memphis John Hollinger comments
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Jackson's defensive instincts are elite and his ability to stretch the floor with a shooting adds
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_00]: another dimension
[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_00]: To his game. The key for him is staying healthy and avoiding foul trouble now
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the bugaboo with Jaren Jackson jr. He still
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_00]: hasn't been able to figure out how to
[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Consistently stay out of foul trouble
[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_00]: There are stretches where he goes and you there's like a 15 game stretch where you think he's got this under control and
[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_00]: then
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_00]: He starts falling for the pump fake again. I don't know if there is just a
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Such an extreme confidence in his shot blocking ability or whatever it is, but
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_00]: for
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Memphis to get to that real next level when we're really talking about them with the the nuggets of the world and
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_00]: The Minnesota Timberwolves of the world and the Dallas Mavericks and so on
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Jaren Jackson jr. Is
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely critical
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_00]: To their
[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Long-term success in how far they can make a serious run in the playoffs and
[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_00]: He can't help them if he's gonna be in constant foul trouble
[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_00]: but
[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You're hoping with another year of maturity. You're hoping with also maybe
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Having to do less this year because of the fact that you have Zach Edie
[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Because of the fact that you have market smart and you have
[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Point
[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_00]: point of attack defenders
[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_00]: You know minus Devin Bain. Obviously, he's a solid team defender, but not the greatest
[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Individual one-on-one defender, but still
[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of defensive talent on this team and even coming off the bench and we're about to get to another guy net
[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_00]: right now that I want to talk about and
[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_00]: so
[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Zach Edie was is a rookie coming in this year the guy who kind of showed out last year
[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Who kind of was the little bright squad in Memphis?
[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_00]: just just dreadful year with GG Jackson and
[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_00]: GG Jackson
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Just blew up onto the scene last year and had some real great games
[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_00]: He's still a raw prospect but he showed flashes of potential he showed offensive creation
[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_00]: He showed the ability to shoot the three
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_00]: He showed the ability to rebound and he also showed the ability to be able to guard different defenders because he's super long
[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I believe that GG Jackson is like 611 at this point
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And if I'm not mistaken GG Jackson is
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Not even 20 yet
[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_00]: So keep that in mind as well and if you found
[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_00]: NGG Jackson
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_00]: That other wing that you've been looking for
[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Man now you can see why the Memphis Grizzly haven't gone outside
[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_00]: the organization
[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_00]: to
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Fill the needs that we think that they have
[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Because they have been throwing draft pick after draft pick at that spot the Zaire
[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Williamson's of the Zaire Williams of the world and others
[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_00]: But to no avail
[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_00]: But with GG Jackson
[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Showing what he did towards the end the last season. They might have final player now. Here's the one thing
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_00]: About this now you're asking GG Jackson
[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_00]: To take back his role
[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He had he there's no way on the team where you have Jaren Jackson jr. Dezen Bane and John Moran
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_00]: that GG Jackson could be
[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_00]: You know a
[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_00]: secondary option or
[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever. He's a support role only type with dude
[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_00]: You're going back to like 10 to 12 shots
[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Now that's the one thing
[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_00]: when he came out of college that people worried about was his maturity level and
[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_00]: How would he handle when things weren't going as
[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Well for him so now we're in this situation where yes, it's tantalizing is tantalizing as a talent is
[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Is he gonna be uncomfortable with the role that he's going to have to play?
[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_00]: With this Memphis Grizzlies team
[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So these are a couple other things to think about now
[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's get to the questions man. I love this. Alright, so
[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_00]: We have three questions going into and going into
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Camp the first question is this and it's the most important question
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Can John Moran stay healthy and return to his all-in BA form?
[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Moran's health and leadership are critical
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_00]: If he can play at an elite level for most of the season the Grizzlies remember when everybody was healthy
[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_00]: They were what?
[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_00]: they were at they for a couple games they were at the
[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_00]: number one in the West and
[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Mostly they were at what to
[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_00]: When everybody was healthy a
[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Couple years back. So if you can get John Moran back to his all-in BA form
[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_00]: This is the type of team
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_00]: That is going to challenge
[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_00]: That upper echelon of the Western Conference no doubt so
[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_00]: It's all about the injuries and what we talked about before it's all about can he throttle down enough now did the injury
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Basically force him to throttle down these are things that we will find out as we go along right
[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_00]: and
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Then if he could stay on the court, what does that?
[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_00]: What does that do to everybody's role because Jaren Jackson jr. Took a step forward in his office again
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_00]: We know the development path of Desmond Bain
[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So they all have to find their shots and also make room for Marcus smart as well as far as shots are concerned
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_00]: So they have a lot to work through
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_00]: But the best way to work through it is John Moran being on the court and taking 24
[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_00]: To 26 shots a game because it all filtrates down from there. It's like hell
[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_00]: We got John Moran and he gonna take these shots
[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_00]: right
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_00]: All of y'all y'all gotta fall y'all got a falling line behind this
[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Now Johnny is in and out of the lineup
[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Then you got people wondering okay, you know like Bain my thing. I'm the number one option
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Jaren Jackson jr. Might sit there and go hey, well I've developed maybe I should be the number one option
[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So you want to make sure that jobs healthy so we don't have those issues
[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_00]: The other thing is this is that?
[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_00]: They're putting a lofty lofty
[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_00]: amount of
[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_00]: basically
[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Instant productivity on the young talent
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_00]: So players like Zack Edie in Gigi Jackson are gonna need to develop quickly and
[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Contribute particularly given the Grizzlies reliance on their depth
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Their growth could provide the necessary support to the team's core
[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_00]: especially in a conference as competitive as the West I mean
[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_00]: If
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Edie can stay on the court
[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And he can give you 24 minutes
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: great
[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_00]: If what we saw the flashes of Gigi Jackson last year are real and now he can throw it back into a role
[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_00]: that where he's a complimentary piece instead of just actual main piece where he was asked to
[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Take you know 20 shots a game. You know last year
[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_00]: When Memphis was tanking because everybody was hurt
[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_00]: That's probably you know, we'll see how that works out
[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and then the last question that we have is this is that and
[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I actually well let's just ask the question is the Grizzlies defense strong enough to contend
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Now is led by Jaren Jackson jr. We know about what his defense is
[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_00]: John Moran John Moran is a small guy
[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_00]: He plays with a lot of heart he plays with a lot of gusto plays a lot of fire
[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Now he also takes gambles
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_00]: does
[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Marcus smart help him in
[00:27:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Like a more but like a mentor role
[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Because Marcus smart in Boston there was now
[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Low-key, I think everybody got smirked at this situation last year in Boston
[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_00]: But remember when we were going into last year the question was was
[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Is all the Celtics gonna miss the leadership of Marcus smart and
[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_00]: He was the heart and soul of the Celtics
[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_00]: That same guy that same type of passion that same type of drive is now in Memphis
[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Is he the one that can kind of say hey job I'm here to help you dog
[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm here to get you to that next level
[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_00]: You know
[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_00]: You know just kind of following my lead, you know a little bit. I'm not talking about
[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_00]: He's the scoring person. I'm just talking about in a sense of
[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_00]: When the mellow out a little bit when to pick up the pace when to get high
[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_00]: When to
[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_00]: You know gamble on defense things of that nature. I wonder if Marcus smart
[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Can be that veteran stable?
[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Leadership that Dillon Brooks was never able to be
[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_00]: So we get to see it this year and I'm looking forward to it
[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_00]: The Grizzlies are undoubtedly one of the most exciting teams to watch this season
[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna be one of my lead past teams for sure now here is the thing
[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of expectations because when we saw this team healthy
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a really good team, but it is a little bit different than it was
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_00]: prior
[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_00]: No, no more Dillon Brooks
[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_00]: You add Marcus smart and now how do all the pieces?
[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Feel in all how do they figure out?
[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_00]: where they're the most productive as far as
[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_00]: as many shots they get
[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_00]: You know
[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Who's running the second unit?
[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_00]: These are all important things that they need to figure out but the Grizzlies and Taylor Jenkins I
[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Trust that staff I trust that they seem to have an all-for-us type of mentality
[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm looking forward to pretty good success coming out of Memphis this year and I can't wait to see it
[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Can't wait to see Memphis whole again
[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Because there's nothing worse than Chris Vernon getting on the mismatch with Kevin O'Connor and
[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Just sounding just like a broken man. So we hope to have Chris in a more
[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Jovial chipper mood this year shouts out to the mismatch. I love that podcast
[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Shouts out to Kevin O'Connor as well now we are going to move along to
[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_00]: The story that I said
[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Was a big story so
[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I know that you probably heard on a couple other people's
[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_00]: deals, but it looks like the former CEO of
[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazon Jeff Bezos is a legitimate contender to buy the Boston Celtics now
[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_00]: It has been reported that he's been interested in purchasing the Boston Celtics this potential acquisition
[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_00]: have massive implications
[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Not just for the Celtics, but the NBA and a broader Boston area as well
[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_00]: The reason why I wanted to bring this story to you is because I think I have might have a couple more little pieces of
[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Information, so let's give you a little background on Bezos
[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Bezos who stepped down as the CEO of Amazon in
[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_00]: 2021 has since focused on other ventures including space
[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_00]: exploration companies Blue Origin and
[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Various philanthropic efforts, but his interest in sports is well documented
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazon has already secured the streaming rights for the NFL and more recently the NBA remember
[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Time warns out
[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazon Prime is in
[00:31:50] [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna get better stats on that thing. We're gonna get crazy angles
[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_00]: so I can't wait but
[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Bezos is coming baby now
[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Owning the team like the Boston Celtics could be a natural extension of Bezos influence in
[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Sports media landscape now
[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Here is what one sports analyst said about Bezos
[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Bezos is a visionary his track record shows that he's not just interested in owning a sports team
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_00]: For the prestige he sees it
[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Is the potential to revolutionize?
[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_00]: the fan experience through technology and
[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Innovation much like he did in with Amazon this could this could mean anything from enhanced streaming
[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_00]: experiences for fans to innovative partnerships between the Celtics and
[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazon various platforms now
[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Bezos is
[00:33:06] [SPEAKER_00]: He looked at the Washington football team the commanders
[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_00]: When what was it Maggie Johnson and the who's the other guy Laurie got it for?
[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much was that like four four point five billion
[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So he looked at the Washington franchise. He was looking to own a sports franchise a couple years ago
[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_00]: So now that the Celtics have come for sale, this is kind of like the natural kind of
[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Transition from him because he's going to be part of whether he stepped down as CEO of Amazon or not
[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_00]: He's still on the board. He's still getting paid
[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_00]: And he was a huge huge
[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Game-changer when it came to the negotiations between the NBA and Amazon
[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_00]: For these NBA rights that coming up that TNT is so salty a well now
[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean some of these changes could be like as far as like some of the
[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Technological capabilities could be as far as like the VR experiences
[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_00]: It could be like advanced analytics real-time just at your fingertips
[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_00]: There's so many things that could be a myriad of just little
[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Accrued tremendous that he could add to
[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_00]: the game as
[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_00]: We now know it because if you think about it, the game has changed, you know betting and you know betting live
[00:34:44] [SPEAKER_00]: You know
[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Alternate spreads all these type of things. This might be where Bezos is
[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_00]: helpful to the NBA because
[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_00]: What the reason why the NBA chose Amazon
[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Over TNT, let's be really honest. It's the data
[00:35:05] [SPEAKER_00]: that
[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazon
[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_00]: can give the NBA as far as
[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_00]: purchasing habits and
[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_00]: things of that nature
[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_00]: That the TNT group could not give them
[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_00]: so
[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about somebody who's really innovative
[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_00]: very aggressive
[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_00]: when it comes to
[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_00]: you know
[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Very aggressive when it comes to things that he wants to you know, get up and going so
[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Now here's the other part of this deal
[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_00]: You got Amazon
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_00]: You know what? They're all about
[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_00]: How about the shopping experience?
[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_00]: What's that gonna look like is it gonna be a lot of like hands off, you know
[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_00]: You order it on your phone
[00:36:07] [SPEAKER_00]: You go to the little area and it's you open the little little cubby hole and your food is there. I mean
[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Think about how things are changing in the world and then also
[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go to Steve Ballmer for a second
[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Because the thing that he's talking about is I want fans in their seats as the game is going on
[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_00]: So how can we efficiently get them food? How can we efficiently?
[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Get them
[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_00]: In and out of like the
[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_00]: The gift shop as far as that's concerned, you know the pro shop or whatever case it may be
[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure
[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_00]: That Bezos is thinking about these things and just kind of want to streamline the whole organization
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_00]: now
[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Here might be the other play for Bezos and this might be the situation
[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_00]: That a lot of people might be really interested in
[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Bill Simmons says something last night. He didn't understand what Bezos angle was and it got me to thinking
[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that Bezos is off is not though is is not just looking at the Celtics. I
[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Actually think that Bezos is looking at the Boston Seaport District
[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Frank McCourt
[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_00]: The McCourts have been involved in Boston real estate market and he is well known in this area
[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And he owns a lot of that Seaport area
[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Remember when he was thinking about buying the Red Sox they were talking about building like a new Fenway Park
[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_00]: in that
[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Boston Seaport area
[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_00]: now if Bezos gets the Celtics and
[00:38:09] [SPEAKER_00]: He wants to move
[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Down to that Seaport
[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_00]: now Frank McCourt has been pretty much a
[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Pardoned businessman especially when it comes to certain locales and certain pieces of property
[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_00]: He's still not well liked here at in LA
[00:38:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Because he owns the parking lot
[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_00]: That is dot that is surrounds Dodger Stadium
[00:38:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So he's still getting paid off that right?
[00:38:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Now that Seaport is something that he's kind of held on to
[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Thinking that at some point Fenway Park is going to need an upgrade or
[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_00]: something is going to want to go there and
[00:38:55] [SPEAKER_00]: He would make a pretty penny off of it
[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing now Bezos is worth like 40 billion dollars
[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Now if he buys the Celtics now the price tag
[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_00]: That I heard is six billion and I think the reason why they want the six billion is
[00:39:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Because of the fact that the new franchises coming in
[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_00]: later within the next couple years
[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_00]: The freight like I think Seattle in Vegas are other frontrunners
[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_00]: But look out for Mexico City as well as a dark horse
[00:39:33] [SPEAKER_00]: but if you get Bezos to pay the six million or the six billion
[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You now have a precedent you can tell your expansion franchises
[00:39:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, it's six billion to join this boys club
[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And that means that every franchise in the NBA will be cut a check for
[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_00]: 400 million dollars when that deal does go through as far as the two expansion teams
[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_00]: so
[00:40:06] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason for that, but I think the second play is the real estate play
[00:40:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Because Bezos also has enough money to cut through the red tape and cut through the McCourt BS
[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_00]: To go ahead and say hey man listen name your price
[00:40:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna take this area and there'll be so much political pressure put on Frank McCourt to sell
[00:40:34] [SPEAKER_00]: To Bezos
[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_00]: That I think that we can finally rid ourselves of Frank McCourt
[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_00]: in Boston, I
[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Think that might be the play and actually
[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Here's what a real estate expert said
[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_00]: the C4 district is one of the hottest real estate markets in the Boston area right now and
[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Someone like Bezos involved could accelerate the development in the area whether it's a new state-of-the-art
[00:41:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Arena or a mixed use of facilities that combine sports entertainment and commercial spaces
[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_00]: The economic impact could be substantial and then let's not forget the ownership group that currently owns
[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_00]: the Celtics under weight gross back who has been
[00:41:34] [SPEAKER_00]: At the helm since 2002 gross quick is overseeing one of the most successful periods in Celtics history
[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_00]: after kind of a
[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_00]: while right since like late 80s
[00:41:47] [SPEAKER_00]: He comes in in 2002. They won a championship in 2008 and then they take another championship last year and
[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Also all the while, you know trying to keep pretty
[00:41:59] [SPEAKER_00]: successful teams
[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_00]: In Boston, you know, they didn't have a lot of down period. They are a lot smart people up there
[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Danny Ainge was there and now it's Brad Stevens and his crew and they just keep it rolling
[00:42:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Now Bill Simmons said this he says I think is real
[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I think is going to be one of the I think he's going to be one of the suitors suitors
[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Bezos brings a financial stability and a willingness to innovate which could be
[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly what the Celtics need to stay ahead in the increasingly competitive NBA landscape
[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing about this and actually let me get to Chris Matic's because Chris Matic's of sports illustrated
[00:42:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Is real tied into the Boston area?
[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_00]: He echoed the sentiment the Simmons sentiment
[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_00]: He noted that Bezos deep pockets would allow the Celtics to avoid the financial constraints
[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Particularly regarding the luxury tech payments. This could mean the Celtics would have more flexibility
[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_00]: to build a
[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Champion or keep a championship contender
[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_00]: without
[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Warrant about the financial
[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_00]: ramifications
[00:43:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing if you look at the Celtics right now, what's the big worry?
[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Is that the price tag is come and do if Bezos buys the Celtics? I
[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't care what Jalen Brown is making
[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Bill Simmons talks all about I want to see Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown stay Celtics
[00:43:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Bezos
[00:43:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Is the key?
[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_00]: To the 2j staying together
[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_00]: because then you have in a sense Balmer East and
[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Could you imagine?
[00:43:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Instead of a Lakers Celtics rivalry
[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_00]: you have
[00:44:03] [SPEAKER_00]: two but human billionaires
[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Rivalry, you have the Balmer
[00:44:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Bezos
[00:44:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Clipper
[00:44:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Celtics
[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_00]: rivalry
[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Just saying
[00:44:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Chris goes on to say
[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Bezos wealth could give the Celtics a significant advantage imagine having the freedom to go after
[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Top tier free agents without the usual financial concerns. It could be it could change the landscape of the Eastern Conference
[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_00]: The other thing is this is that
[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Now Bezos is one of the more well-known
[00:44:52] [SPEAKER_00]: billionaires
[00:44:54] [SPEAKER_00]: but
[00:44:56] [SPEAKER_00]: he's not
[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_00]: When you're Robert Kraft
[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_00]: You just oh, that's the Patriots owner
[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_00]: When you're the Guggenheim group that owns the Dodgers
[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Magic Johnson is a minority owner. Oh, that's the Dodgers owner
[00:45:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Stan Cronke Lakers owner. I mean not Lakers on a Rams owner. That's a 40 and slip
[00:45:21] [SPEAKER_00]: You know GD bus Lakers owner
[00:45:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So, you know Jerry Jones Dallas Cowboy owner
[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_00]: the one thing about being like a billionaire tech guy and having all this money is
[00:45:35] [SPEAKER_00]: What good is it if you're not known for anything and if he can come into Boston and keep?
[00:45:42] [SPEAKER_00]: The Celtics who just won a championship, right?
[00:45:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Just won one
[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_00]: they'll be there one of the odds on favorite to win it next year and
[00:45:53] [SPEAKER_00]: What's to say you can't keep this going
[00:45:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum are 26 and 27 years old respectively
[00:46:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Derek white is
[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_00]: What he's just turning 30? Yes, you're gonna have to replace Drew Holliday, which would be a big loss in a couple years
[00:46:14] [SPEAKER_00]: but Drew Holliday as a support player right now is excellent and
[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_00]: You're not gonna have any he's not gonna blink an eye about whatever
[00:46:30] [SPEAKER_00]: the
[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_00]: second apron
[00:46:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Tax penalties will be
[00:46:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Basel's we like we were still winning
[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Everything's still good. We still got a chance to win the championship. Oh
[00:46:46] [SPEAKER_00]: What do you need to win a championship I can get that for you right now
[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_00]: so I mean, I
[00:46:55] [SPEAKER_00]: know that Steve Patliula was
[00:46:58] [SPEAKER_00]: The front runner who was the minority owner of the Celtics currently
[00:47:02] [SPEAKER_00]: but if Bezos comes in this is a dynamic dynamism that you cannot ignore and
[00:47:09] [SPEAKER_00]: the
[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_00]: revitalization of the seaport area
[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_00]: under the
[00:47:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Basel's regime would be the type of synergy that would transform change changes in the Boston Harbor area
[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about developments that would drive the economic growth create jobs and make Boston an even more attractive
[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_00]: destination for both residents and tourists and
[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_00]: As of now these are just rumors, but the implications are enormous
[00:47:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Bezos would be something of a game changer in the NBA for a lot of reasons
[00:47:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Technological would be one he's also bringing in Amazon
[00:47:52] [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about that how that's going to change how we view basketball is going to change
[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Look at what the NFL looks like on Amazon. It's completely different
[00:48:09] [SPEAKER_00]: so I'm I
[00:48:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't know what it's gonna look like but I will believe that the entire landscape of Boston as far as sports real estate
[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Would change if Bezos would own that team so it's a story that we will continue to follow closely
[00:48:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I
[00:48:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Want to thank my producers for gathering up these quotes. They were instrumental and what we
[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Were trying to do today. So it looks like Bezos is
[00:48:39] [SPEAKER_00]: A real player for the Boston Celtics, so
[00:48:46] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how it all goes
[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_00]: With that being said I want to go ahead again and thank
[00:48:54] [SPEAKER_00]: the audience we are
[00:48:57] [SPEAKER_00]: over 1500 downloads
