[00:00:12] It's Friday, you know what time it is. Front Runner Podcast Collective is back on the air. I am your humbleholds, Vince, and on the ones and two is beef lunch and so rare they'll be handling like some of the stats and what have you to me.
[00:00:31] And we have some fun show, just fun. We got people saying I really stupid things. We got people giving proclamations. We got team focus, off season so far. So we got a lot to get into but before we get there.
[00:00:54] You know we got to talk about the socials. So first and foremost, let's start with X. It's at Raeah, underscore, funch, FRKC, and then at Front Runner, PC for more. So ask us questions, getting involved in the conversation.
[00:01:20] There seem to be a very spirited conversation between the two producers yesterday in regards to a of that. To one of them, in regards to who was not going to use their little tagline at the end.
[00:01:37] And we do have a payment. So funch was paid. He did get that money. So shout out to my guy, getting paid, get the bag dog. All right, then I know on the YouTube channel, we're going to promise us of stuff.
[00:02:00] We have stuff coming because now that Friday is here. And unless Randy Ingraham or somebody else gets straight it, we will have a whole weekend to just shoot out clips and things of that nature. And we're going to make a fun. We're going to make them informative.
[00:02:19] If it's something that you didn't catch in the pod or also some sort of stat or anecdot or quote from someone in the basketball world, we will put that in there. It will be different from what you hear us today. Plus it'll be some cool background music.
[00:02:36] You know, we like to keep the vibe real chill. And we like to get you going for the weekend. So front runner podcast collective on YouTube, be a part of it. Subscribe, like, comment, do all the great things that you can do. You can share clips.
[00:02:55] You can take a clip from YouTube and put it on your social. So if you want to really drive home that we are part of be a friend of telephoto. That's the way I do it. Love it. And then the last thing is the actual podcast itself.
[00:03:16] Really what I want to say is just thank you. I just want to continue to be grateful in humble. To see not just our day once, not just our day once, but to see Kenya, to see Ghana, to see Taiwan, to see Hong Kong.
[00:03:44] China is in the building of folks and they are downloading heavy. France, we know we are a big fan of Victor, wind by Yamag big Vic, you know how much love I have for him. I do believe that dude is calling to be an MVP sooner than later.
[00:04:05] And I think he should be defensive player of the year this year coming up. That's I mean, I know we do our preseason predictions closer to the season. I still think I might have Vic. We got to work out all the numbers.
[00:04:21] You know, we got to get our analytics together. But I love Vic. But be a friend of telephoto podcast. Make sure to download. Make sure that you're telling people, hey, you can get if you like to listen to Pandora. If you're in that demographic, go right ahead.
[00:04:41] If you listen to I heart radio and that's how you consume your podcast. That's great too. Spotify, Apple works. You guys all know it. But the revolution is not televised. But it is streamed on this podcast. So Viva La Revolution. All right.
[00:05:05] Now that we got the socials out the way, we can get into this podcast. And it is a fun Friday. So let's get it popping. Right? And the first thing that I want to talk about. I love the all season.
[00:05:21] People say, well, you love the all season because of the trade, the rumors, the draft, you know, some league, you know, is off their reticle. No, I love the all season for one reason and one reason only.
[00:05:41] Now usually, usually how summer works is that we don't have a lot of international basketball. Well, you know, we have the Olympic this year. So we have a ton of basketball to talk about throughout, you know, the summer and into the fall and leading up to the season.
[00:06:01] Great. But usually they will be an athlete in VA player or a former NBA player. And they will say something that catches my attention or catches the producers attention. And today, Paul Pierce got the trifecta. He got all of us.
[00:06:25] So Paul Pierce was on skip bail is program, undisputed and he says this, we may learn what he is today. Now remember, Paul Pierce was part of that big three in Boston. We Kevin Garneet and Ray Allen and then he had Ray John Rondo.
[00:06:48] Big perk was in the building to that as well. Shout out to our guy on ESPN Big perk. But so Paul tells the story about how in the Eastern Carposed finals when LeBron moves over to the Miami Heat where, you know, it's his first year in their struggling.
[00:07:11] The Boston Celtic series was the genesis of the LeBron James era. And Paul Pierce feels that he he launched it. Usually on this program, we we give benefits of the doubt. We try to give you two sides of the coin.
[00:07:30] We also try to be real with you on a lot of levels. Now I'll say this because there's a lot of former players that speak out and people say, oh no, he's hating. He's hating on the younger player.
[00:07:46] He's hating because of the fame and the money that they get whatever. I honestly believe that when Shaq is talking. Yeah, it's coming from an older perspective, but I actually believe that it's coming from a perspective with love. I want you to be the best you can be.
[00:08:03] Get all the money you can get and, you know, leave a imprint on this game. I think when Shaq is challenging guys, it literally is about, yo, I think you have something in you where you can leave an imprint on this game.
[00:08:22] Now there are certain players out there. Now I will keep them nameless. What you all know who you are. You all out there hating talking about the young cats, making money. Oh it's not the same talk basketball that it was. I'm an older guy, right?
[00:08:45] I'm an older guy. I can see that today's grand basketball is better. Now we'll not see that you're going to tell me that every dude in the 80s and in the 90s, couldn't play today's basketball. I'm not saying all of them.
[00:09:03] I'm just saying like the special ones, you know what I'm saying? Like I peru, I'll land just things about magic. I'll land just things about other players in the league and it's just like, whoa, put on. We need a time out. But this Paul clear saying this from,
[00:09:24] I just need to get more notoriety. I don't feel like I'm getting enough shy. Or does he really believe this? Is this something that he believes in his core? Now, I think Paul appears twice a spotlight. I think Paul appears and joys being known for things.
[00:09:48] And he doesn't want his legacy to die. But my man, if you think that you were the, the turnkey to turn the LeBron James engine era on, I'm going to need to see a drug test for my guy. I really am.
[00:10:09] I'm going to need to see one because I really think you probably smoked a little too much weed. That's what I'm thinking. There might have been just a tad too much hannesty in the cup. I'm just, I'm just saying man. I mean, come on. Yeah. All right. Okay.
[00:10:33] So let's get to what we really came to talk about. And today, we have two teams that are in the focus. And we want to go through their all season. We want to go through their all season moves. We want to talk about the franchises itself.
[00:10:52] And we're going to start with one of the teams that became like a, like a faint well, it was a favorite to the, to the network. The okay seed thunder last year, a lot of their fan base really kind of, was vibing with the podcast.
[00:11:10] They were vibing with the YouTube videos and things to that nature. We have the okay seed thunder in the focus today. And we are going to concentrate on their all season. We're going to concentrate on the moves they've made.
[00:11:24] What we look at the roster construction as of right now is there more to do. And we'll be praising Sam Presti as well in this particular podcast. First of all, let's get to their draft. All right. The first pick they had was 12th overall.
[00:11:48] It was the Nikola tokitch. So now we have a, we have a Nikola, Yokech. We have a Nikola Yokech and now we have a Nikola tokitch. All right. Don't get it twisted. They all do three different things.
[00:12:07] One is best player in the world or one of the best players in the world. Shout out to our guy, Nikola Yokech in big D, out in Denver. Then you have the Wayne Yokech who's the mind to heat. And now we have the worky guard, Nikola Tokitch.
[00:12:28] Here's the thing with the serving guard who's known for his exceptional playmaking and offensive potential. We won't see him this year because he has a ACL tier. He will probably, if he does play it, then we will really in the season.
[00:12:48] But okay, C is going for a title. So probably a stash guy until maybe 20, 20, 25, 20, 26. That's a situation. Then they picked up Dylan Jones. He is, he's, I like Dylan Jones. He gives off David Roddy vibes a little bit but not as big.
[00:13:21] A little more shift here, a little more elusive. Got a little more shake to him. But he's a bowling ball. It's like 65, 66. He's like 235. He's, he's built. He can score. He can rebound. Now he did show defensive chops but he was playing in lower competition.
[00:13:45] He played for Weber State. We want to see it translate to the NBA no doubt. Really, the thing about Dylan Jones, any of the guys that don't about the talk well,
[00:13:56] it's going to be real hard to break this, this nine-man rotation because we haven't even got to the free ages yet. But another talented versatile player who can pass dribble and shoot.
[00:14:09] Remember that something that is going to be a theme on this down podcast from here on out. The last guy is kind of my favorite guy that okay see picked up when this is a sound, Presty special to me. AJ Mitchell is a guard from UC Santa Barbara.
[00:14:27] Okay, press well. Go Gouchos. The other thing is, is that he has a really, he has a real good IQ for scoring and he has a, but for rotiousness on defense that I want to see it translate to the NBA.
[00:14:50] But he got up in people's crills when he was in college. He didn't care who he was going to, but again, he didn't care the, the hype of the competition whatsoever. He's just one of those guys that gets it. He wants to get it out the mud,
[00:15:07] but he will definitely show you that I'm not, I'm not a joke on the offense aside and I will let you ask. So AJ Mitchell like him a lot. I think he can offer dividends on both sides of the floor, offensively and defensively. Offensively probably more of a,
[00:15:29] connector, you know, be a open shooter, you know, crash the boards on the defense aside will probably be where he can, if he wanted to make any kind of inroads into this rotation, which I think when we start getting further further in and talk about
[00:15:47] the offseason moves going to be hard to crack. Can we really hard to crack? So let's get into those moves right now. Sam Presti, I mean, get my note out here because I want to make sure I have everything correct when I want to talk about this guy.
[00:16:08] So, Cresty said it in, it was, I don't know if it was late last year or it was early 2024, but he did say, because people were talking about, well, you know, are they going to make a move during the trade deadline? What are they going to do?
[00:16:26] Are they going to dress the needs of their team? And Presti had this comment like, listen, we're going to get to the playoffs. We're going to look at our roster. We're going to see where these guys are in their developmental path. And then from that point on,
[00:16:45] we will go ahead and make adjustments to the roster going forward. So, as the season continued and as okay C played better and continue to win, and people started to take them seriously as we got closer to the trade deadline, and was asked again.
[00:17:07] And Sam Cresty said, hey, listen, understand that we're in a situation where we might be, I don't think we're early, but you guys might think we're early, but we're still standing firm on our principles and our beliefs and what we want to achieve this year.
[00:17:27] To this year is a fact-finding mission for our team, right? So they go into the playoffs. They play extremely well high competitive, high caliber basketball. Some of the wars start to show, right? We talked about it all through the trade deadline
[00:17:48] and after we were just shocked that there wasn't a move made, but we said they needed a big. They needed somebody with some gulfed tongue. They needed somebody who could handle like the stronger types of big, in league, such as Joel and B, Nicole Yogich.
[00:18:06] You're not going to stop those guys, which we don't want to do is make it so easy for them that they slice through you like a hot butter knife, do butter. You know what I'm saying? It's just, you don't want that at all.
[00:18:22] So what did our guy do? He went out and saw me. I say I hurt heart and stine from the New York mix. I mean, I say it hard to stine. Probably will never pay for another bagel, another meal in New York City
[00:18:41] for the rest of his life or what he did and that is stonishing playoff series or it's stonishing playoff run that the mix at. The one thing that you're getting with I say it hard to stine
[00:18:54] is you're getting, let me pull up these stats for you that I got. Okay, now he fits the bill when it comes to the size and to what he could provide physically with rebounding and being able to defend his position. But I want to rejuge these stats.
[00:19:15] Okay, this is per 100 possessions. This is Isaiah Hardenstein last year, okay? So he was 15.5 points again. He was 16.6 rebounds per game. He was five assists again and he was four point six stocks per game. His defensive box plus minus was a positive 2.8
[00:19:45] and his overall box plus minus was a positive 3.5. That is what okay, so he did to fill a need. Now, Presti's done it again. Not only did he get something that failed to need he got exactly what he needed.
[00:20:11] He got somebody to rugged willing to give to the team the great thing about Isaiah Hardenstein is not only is he a good defensive player. He also provides that short roll pass to the corners or out to the three-point shooters. So he's offensively aware.
[00:20:31] We just talked about the 100 possessions and the five assists, you know. Keep in mind, Isaiah Hardenstein now he played the postseason a lot. But when Mitchell Robinson is healthy, Isaiah Hardenstein was getting like 20 minutes. 24. So these stats are indicative of, oh, yo,
[00:20:56] if you play like 36, 38, got 100 possessions in the game we don't get that many possessions, usually a basketball game but, you know, that's a nice even number you kind of see what it would be and yeah he put up crazy numbers. So okay see, feels the big need
[00:21:18] with Isaiah Hardenstein. I mean, three years, 87 million people kind of scoff at the number but you know in a couple years we're not going to care because it's going to be a drop in the bucket. I like the swing here I think it was the exact fit
[00:21:40] but Sam Presti wasn't done. He traded for Alex Coruso. Yeah, you traded for Alex Coruso. You're talking about a defensive demon somebody who's a connector, what does this team need? It's not like they need a ton of scoring. They got enough guys. Shit fills it up.
[00:22:02] Jda fills it up. SGA can put up 30 in the sleep. Isaiah Jo gives block his case on the table. He's like, it's case on Wallace wants to get buckets. They got enough dudes that can get buckets. But Alex Coruso to me would be he would be the
[00:22:25] smart and final version of Drew Holiday. You know, I'm trying to think of he would be the Kirkland brand of Drew Holiday. If that makes any sense to my Costco members out there. Okay. He shoots the three and remember this was it was straight up.
[00:22:50] It was Alex Coruso for Josh Giddy. So you took a shooter that was reluctant and then you took a shooter that really came on last year and then started averaging more three points of attempts again. Then you also add the defensive element of Alex Coruso
[00:23:07] to a team that does play really good defense. Just got better. You just got Alex Coruso you had chat home, grin and Isaiah Hardenstein cared well. Decent's. So the positions that were I guess shaky or the positions that had questions to them.
[00:23:33] Sam Presti found in fatty answers to these questions. Now are they are they still too young to really press? The rest of the West. I don't know. I don't think so. I think they're right there. I think they're ready.
[00:23:54] And I think when you get some grit with Cruzo and Hardenstein, it can only make this team better. Again, shade Giddy's Alexander is a walking bucket. This is 30 points. I don't sweat. This is just my norm. My norm is 30. Then whatever else I give you is gravy.
[00:24:24] So Sam Presti did a hell of a job in this off season. I can't be more impressed with what he did. I love that he stayed patient. I love that he got necessary pieces. And if you look at what he put around, say SGA, JDA and Hongren.
[00:24:48] I mean, you just slide Cruzo right next to SGA. And you slide Hardenstein right next to Hongren. I mean, this is just. It's a match made to have it now. Does it take away from the principle of their their actual theory or philosophy on offense? It does.
[00:25:08] Now there are plays. There are strategies that you can work around it because they do, they do realistically want to play five out. The great thing about Hardenstein is that he can play at that nail. So technically he's not in the pain.
[00:25:25] Now does Hardenstein, he's not going to play 40 some on minutes like he did in New York. Because I still think at the core, okay, see, once it be this five out team. I think 24 minutes of Hardenstein. You layer some of those minutes with Hongren.
[00:25:47] You might need them for rebounding purposes to close out quarters. Second third, fourth, whatever. If the guy starts, he gives you six solid. Then he comes in four or five minutes and second. Four or five minutes and third.
[00:26:09] And if he's part of the closing group just because of the fact that you just need the rebounding. He can still get to like 24 or 25 minutes. Now does the chance that he's going to play like 30 and they just redo the whole offensive philosophy?
[00:26:26] I wonder if that is literally what they're going to do or if Mark Diagnote could come up with something that is going to be able to appease Hardenstein and then the rest of the group that is used to this five out style that they love to play.
[00:26:44] We don't know, it's not a critical situation to me. It's not a situation where I feel negative at all with what their team is. I mean, here's what Sam Crassie said. We're committed to a patient approach emphasizing development of our young core.
[00:27:02] The addition of experience with players like Caruso and Hardenstein will help guard a guy our young talents as we aim to sustain success, sustained success. All right. Rylan styles of the thunderous intentions. Okay, sees off season moves demonstrate a balanced strategy combining acquisition of experience players
[00:27:30] with their continued development of their young stars. Remember, I was the first one to claim them a big three go back. You boy was that. This approach sets the stage for promises season ahead. These efforts. Okay.
[00:27:55] So it seems like everybody likes the deal who doesn't like this deal. I mean, everybody loves this situation. And again, tell which is basically getting a rest here at season. We didn't even talk about the rookie, the lottery pick. And by the way, again, in Nazium.
[00:28:16] Okay, see, still has a ton of picks. They have so many picks that as the picks are starting to come up here, what I see them do is like they'll trade like, oh, hey, we'll give you the rights to this pick back for a protected pick in 2027 29.
[00:28:41] So my man, Presti is keeping it real. He's like, yo, I'm not playing. I do not want to be bad ever sustained success. Critical terminology from my guy, Sam Presti, who doesn't give us a lot usually. So good on him, great off season.
[00:29:02] Love what okay see has done. I was in a Twitter space not that long ago and there was a huge debate on where okay see is in the pecking order other Western conference.
[00:29:14] Now with everything not played out yet, you still got to, you still got to put them as one of the favorites. I mean, they got better. We do talk about development not being linear. So it's going to be interesting to see what chat does and season three,
[00:29:33] but season two in his actual play. Remember he lost a rookie season to the foot injury. All right. I think we have given the okay see enough praise today. By the way, for my okay seed people out there has tagged thunder up.
[00:29:56] Tell me what you think at front runner PC or at Raya underscore. Funch, FRTC let us know what you think of my thoughts on your damn team. I thought it was extremely perfusive in my praise about the squad. All right. Let's move on.
[00:30:23] I think my producers are going to love this more than I do. Okay, so we're going to talk about the Boston Celtics. As much as it kills me you are talking about the 2024 NBA champions. They are the reigning champions of the NBA. Banner 18 is here.
[00:30:43] They got there before the Lakers. I'm so, so excited about this situation. Um, all right. Let's talk about the draft. Now we're going to get into all the signings and whatever in the contract and just the Cap with all that.
[00:31:05] But Brad Stevens says something not that long ago. Can't remember where it was. But he was talking about it wasn't talking about building sustain success. So he was in that same realm.
[00:31:20] But he was like, you know, we have a formula and we just need guys that can backfill what our guys do now. And if you look at the strategy of what they did, pick number 30. Now, there were some questionable picks to me.
[00:31:43] There were some really questionable picks like in the 20s. Man, I ain't gonna lie to you. But Baylor Charmin, the kid who were, who were from Creighton, he was, he transferred to Creighton. But Baylor Charmin is a flame throwing three coins shooting assassin.
[00:32:10] He has a little more like offensive initiative to his game that you would think. And this dude is an incredible rebounder. He average nine rebounds a game. He's put together. He's like six, six, two, twenty, five, a rugged rebounder.
[00:32:27] He kind of reminds me, you know, people are going to hate, I'm not going to do it. I will not do it. I know you guys want me to say that it's like, what's with my guy's name?
[00:32:41] While he's there be like, no, I got a better one for you. Not as prolific as a ball handler, but shot wise and rebounding wise and toughness wise. For my young fans out there for the young audience, for my, for my people that were born 2000 and up,
[00:33:07] Y'all gonna need to you to this for my, for my people that were in like in the early 90s. You might have saw some NBA video on this guy Indiana, Pacer, legend, the rifleman Chuck person. That's who Baylor Shireman, he, that's who he reminds me of.
[00:33:34] Um, yes, and I do go out of my way to make different ethnic comparisons when we are talking about a light dude.
[00:33:45] On this podcast, the reason why I do that because it's so easy to say, oh, he's, he's wallies are react or he's, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh. But I wanted to put some thought into it.
[00:34:01] I looked at some take what looked at what how he came off pin downs. I think, um, got through, uh, double screens off the baseline. I looked at some of just the quick release that he has and Baylor Shireman definitely reminds me of Chuck person.
[00:34:20] Because Chuck person used to shoot that thing or what it was in his day. My man was getting it up. Okay, he was getting it up and Baylor Shireman does the exact same thing.
[00:34:34] Brass Stevens, his group, their development or what they're seeing in their team and what they want to continue to create. We talked about it during the finals. Mozilla wants to create a math problem for you. They're going to take 45 degrees. That's like their model.
[00:34:54] That's what they want to do. I want to take 45 threes. They're going to be nice where we're going to just be spot on and we're going to shoot the lights out. And we're going to hit 19 of 45 threes or 21 of 45 threes.
[00:35:09] But on the night so we don't shoot the lights out on the nights that we are a little off. 15 of 45 is still good because whatever means we got 15 threes that are made. And they believe in this and they keep drafting people that are going to fit this profile.
[00:35:30] And they keep drafting people that have multiple skills again. Baylor Shireman is not coming into the NBA as this just why do that can shoot? If you don't box out on him, which nobody in the NBA does anymore, we just lost that arc.
[00:35:48] No one boxes out at all. And I'm sounding like an old man. But when you talk to play a personnel people and when you talk to light, like development coaches and things of that nature, like who have had ties in the NBA or still in the NBA,
[00:36:06] it's one of the like if you ever get any white talks from talking about boxing out, they lose their damn mind. They're like, I don't know how this is even possible. It's just not taught at the youth level. It's not taught in the AAU circuit.
[00:36:23] It's bad work in the AAU circuit, but a simple fundamental freaking skill like boxing out is not taught. And Baylor Shireman will box out one. He's aggressive at going for offensive rebounds and defensive rebounds.
[00:36:41] And he also does understand the passing up a good shot for a great shot. He had 3.9 assists, his shooting efficiency in his range, provides another weapon to the Boston Celtics and they're not afraid to use their guys. So I'm really interested to see what Baylor Shireman does.
[00:37:04] And then they took Anton Watson in the second round, 54th overall from Gonzaga, 14.5 points against 7.1, and he rounds the game in a pretty good conference. He is a guy who can shoot it decently, but he is better known for his defensive skills.
[00:37:29] This is a guy who will probably be on the main G league team for the Boston Celtics, but has some outside. We'll see what it turns out to be, but extremely athletic in the sense of being able to get opposite. And we'll see what his efficiency in scoring.
[00:37:55] How he gets his points. He doesn't need a lot of shots and all of a sudden, he'll tell you like 10 shots or how light 20 points. He gets to the free throw line, she's at a pretty good clip, and he just does all the little things.
[00:38:13] So we'll see how it works out for him. Now, the Celtics, the Celtics, I don't know what he's supposed to do, right? You won better 18, you will want to best teams ever as far as net rating is concerned. You went like combine 80 victories
[00:38:44] throughout the year with all the playoff wins. So what do you do? You sign all your guys. You sign them all. Peyton, Prytrugot money. I think Oshade, Brcedgot money. You're all talking about, Drew Holliday as soon as they could sign that, he got money, whatever Max was.
[00:39:15] He signed it and he signed it, extension, I think, in the season. So Jason Tatum, Jason Tatum, came up in it was time and he got his extension in five years. It's 314 million dollars, okay? Let's break this down. So this next year, the 24 or 25 season
[00:39:38] is the end of the fun rookie Max, okay? So next year, Jason Tatum is making 34.8 million dollars, right? You got like, damn, that's a pretty good bargain. The very next season, the 25, 26 season, Jason Tatum will start making 54.1 million dollars. That's the first year of this new extension.
[00:40:10] And at the end of it, Jason Tatum, I think the last year of the contract, it reached $70 million annually. Not mad, this is what the economics of basketball are now. This is we are in a, we're a whole new world. When that TV revenue money hits,
[00:40:35] and as they incrementally start bringing up the cap, like they're saying they're going to do like 10% every year or something like that, I'm sure they're going to be a couple years where it's going to be eight. You know, the holes hold down some of these salaries or whatever,
[00:40:51] but basically we're in a boom situation, as far as money, the media dollars that are coming in, the streaming services that are getting utilized. It is just a boom time and this is what high quality talented top 10 dudes get. This is what they get.
[00:41:14] So I have no problem with Jason Tatum's part of the championship team. He's an integral part of the championship team. He was pretty much the de facto point guard. If you go back and look at that series,
[00:41:27] he was the de facto point guard of the Celtics during their championship run. Because he knew that he was, he was getting the hardest defense assignment, and he was like, I'll defer, I don't care. I'll get a Javan Brown a bunch of cookies.
[00:41:45] Oh, Drew standing in the corner. Why don't get shit? All right, no problem. I'll do that. And that's what smart, really high caliber NBA basketball players do. Jason Tatum is an awesome basketball player. He is a top 10 basketball player for sure.
[00:42:13] And there's no shade to be not top four. There's no shade whatsoever. I know he's been looking for it. I know his cohort, Jailing Brown, and we'll get to him in a second because he may some comments about the Olympic team.
[00:42:30] But let's get to our guy and we saved him for last because this is how I want to end the podcast. Derek White also got signed by the Celtics. And Derek White signed a four year 125.9 million dollar contract. So he will be averaging a little over like 31 year.
[00:43:00] And it is well deserved. Derek White who did make the Olympic team. His teammate Jailing Brown has sent out a tweet with a monocle, a mojie, multiple, monocle, mojie's like what the hell is going on? He has a, he has a beef. He was the NBA finals MVP,
[00:43:32] the Eastern Conference finals MVP. I can understand his thought. But let me tell you something about Derek White. This guy last year shot a true shooting percentage of 61.1%. His effective fill goal percentage was 57.8%. He averaged 2.2 stocks per game, so that stills and blocks.
[00:44:01] And it was an absolute guaranteed. And I don't know what Fandou fan do was thinking, but if you were kind of aware of what was going on, Derek White was averaging a block again like throughout the entire playoffs. It was always going to happen.
[00:44:21] And it usually happened in the most critical moments of the basketball game. But Derek White was good for a block game during the playoffs. And to tell you a truth, I keep on telling my wife who is the CFO of this company.
[00:44:36] That we need to start just putting some money into Fandou and go ahead and start taking this, you know, start building up our retirement portfolio. Because Fandou would put it as like a half a block. So it was kind of like the over under,
[00:44:53] what do you get a block or not get a block? And for six foot three, six foot four guard. You know, I could see the casual saying, that's crazy. Why would he get a block? Derek White always got a block. This dude is just a great team defender.
[00:45:13] He knows how to pick up his guy who got beat. He understands angles. He just does all the little things. Caruso, Druhalade, Derek White. A lesser extent Bruce Brown, but though three guys and it's funny, the self is got two of them.
[00:45:38] Okay, so he got the other one. Could be a collision course next year. But Derek White, Druhalade, completely egoless players. Glout there to their job. If I get six shots great, if I get 14 shots great, if I guard the best player on the team, great.
[00:46:07] If I have to guard a big, great, true did that lot. Also white did that lot. Stout at the point of attack on the defense. He's worth every penny. I understand that the Celtics are completely over the cap. I understand they're, you know, they're on the second apron,
[00:46:31] but if you look at their team. Okay, we are talking about yes. Chris, of course, English crawlers not going to play it till January. That foot injury, the ankle injury, is one of the worst ankle injuries I've ever heard of. But you still got Tatum.
[00:46:47] You still got Brown. And no matter how you want to put it, those guys are like top 15, top 20 guys. However you want to shake it out. Then you got probably the two best role players I've ever seen in my home entire life. And Derek White and Drew Holiday.
[00:47:07] Then combined with old man river, Alhorford, Paying Preacher, and the rest of the crew. They got a nice little, they got a nice little rotation. And, you know, when pausing it, something back, they're going to be healthy. And if they can get him ramped up by April,
[00:47:33] like this dude come back, like in February, late February. Get like 20 games on his belt before the play all start. Just don't matter. He really doesn't watch out out to our guy, Derek White, we're getting the money. We appreciate Derek White, we appreciate all that he does.
[00:47:51] And also congratulations on the selection to the US men's Olympic team. It's well deserved for Derek White, we like to see some of the guys who do the dirty work get their due.
[00:48:05] So good job and Drew Holiday and Derek White are going to absolutely just kill foreign guards in this competition. So we'll see how that all works out. Um, is there anything else that we need to talk about? I don't think so. Very anything. Yeah, so that's it.
[00:48:29] Fun Friday we're done. It's great. Everybody should be happy. You go off into the weekend again. We still moderate our story with Brandon E. Ingram, the two wings and Brooklyn. Um, I'm still confusing about what Cleveland's doing really.
[00:48:51] And then Miami and the Lakers haven't done too much of anything. So you got those things going on. So if something breaks that is big enough, we will do an emergency pot over the weekend. If not,
[00:49:09] keep a lookout for the YouTube clips that are coming because we will be on those post-aist. And again, be a friend tell a friend about the podcast. Remember to continue the download. Remember to continue to tell your friends and you say events. I told all my friends,
[00:49:31] who else can I tell? I'm like, all right, let's get the old brain working. You know, we collaborated with the producers on this situation. And we got another one for you. All right. So we told you about the barista. We told you watch it over East Guy.
[00:49:50] We told you about the checkout person. We'll have you. Now, the other person that you can talk to is you can talk to your pharmacists. That's one right because sometimes you got questions. They look stressed out. You know, maybe they get a break throughout the day.
[00:50:13] You can talk to your pharmacists. The other person that you can talk to. How did we not talk about this before? Your Amazon delivery, dude or woman? Yes. Tell them while front runner podcast collected. You were bright in their day. They'll be like, hey,
[00:50:36] that's not crossing the hook me up. So let them know about that. And what that being said, like always. That's quite a huge deal. Right? So make sure that you keep people around you surround yourself with people who just brighten your light.
[00:50:51] Do not allow anyone to extinguish your light. Do good in the world through the weekend. And we should see you back on this feed. Monday, if not earlier for breaking news. So that's how it's going to go.
[00:51:08] So you guys have a great weekend and I will most likely see you. On Monday, we'll see you at Branden Ingraham Finds Away to Get Treated. Doose.
